Just thought I'd post you through the results from the final house show
of the Summer Bash Tour which took place at the MEN Arena in
Manchester!
Apologies if it's not in match order!!
Kicked off with a Cruiserweight title match... Nice 1!
Paul London vs. Billy Kidman
Kidman goes for the SSP, but London kicks him and he lands crotch first
on the turnbuckle... He's still sitting there as London grabs him, hits
vicious DDT (like the one randy orton hit on RVD in an IC Title match a
couple of years back if you remember)... London then goes up top... 450
time... 1-2-3!
Winner: Paul London
Carlito v Big Show
OK Match... Carlito did great playing the pussy heel....
Notes: Big Show did his big slap in the corner on Carlito's chest..
Sick man! Well loud in the arena and CCC's chest was well red!... Big
Show got the win with a Chokeslam and post match... Well funny, Carlito
and Morgan were leaving and they CCC stops in the Rampway... Raises his
hand and just falls back.. Comedy Style (For the Brits... Like Del Boy)
Next... Another Cruiser match...
Chavo vs. Funaki
They pulled out Fit Finlay's favourite angle here... Funaki went down
wth an injury, was down for quite a while.. the X sign was given,
trainers down, referees down, EMTs, don't try this at home at kids....
Anyway, yeah, went on for ages... Chavo sits on ropes to let Funaki
through and then Chavo attacks him... Fell for it, hook, line and
sinker!!! Damn u!!!... He beats on him for a while but then Smacdown no1
announcer gets the rollup and win out of nowhere!!!
Winner: Funaki!
Added note: My mate shouted " Funaki" at the start in his best Japanese
accent and got his attention and a thumbs up! We were quite far back as
well!!! Loud mouthed Manc! Ha... Just kidding Si!
Tag Title Match: MNM vs. Hardc ore Holly and Booker T
Where was Charlie? Must be on his honeymoon I guess!!.. Why didn't he
have it in Manchester.. He could have stayed in Middleton.. He would
have loved it!.. Booker got some good pops though as a replacement... No
Sharmell by the way.
OK match... Nothing of major note though, apart from the finish...
Hardcore holds Mercury up and Booker hits a high heel kick... Melina
then gets involved and Booker chases her off.. This allows Nitro and
Mercury to hit the Snapshot and get the win.
Actually... Extra Note... Got a great pic of Melina's Entrance! WOOO!

Next up... Matt Morgan vs Mark Jindrak... AKA Toilet Break...
I stayed though, one of a few in 18,000 that did!... Have to say the
stutter gimmick is shit but he did a funny promo.. his mic was going
high pitch and kept cutting out... Funny line was... In mega high
pitch... "I'm 320 pounds of terror!"
Anyway... the match... Crap... Morgan wins with F-5. That was
impressive though.
Might have been a break here or maybe the whiny whiny Torrie Wilson...
If it was her... she gave out t-shirts... Melina came out... She
insulted us and Torrie and Torrie punked that (fit) bitch out!!
After the break...
Teddy Long comes out and hypes up the crowd... good job...
Then.... Eddie Guerrero v Rey Mysterio!
Dunno y, but I wasn't hyped up for this and it wasn't a brilliant
match.. That's probably harsh.. I just think it's cos everything they
did we'd seen and it was a copycat match... Harsh.. maybe it's cos of
Rey's ankle that they taking it easy... Apologies... Thanks for coming
Eddie and Rey!!!
Anyway... The match!! A few good moves... one fuck up when Rey slipped
off Eddie's sweaty back trying a sunset flip rollup type move... Rey won
anyway... with a 619 and leg drop off the ropes.
Next... Heidenreich vs. OJ... AKA Toilet Break no.2! Aren't we
lucky!!!
Copycat of their PPV match... OJ won with feet on ropes... Big John
went away happy as he found 3 friends and marched with them. Woo.
Main Event: JBL v Kurt Angle v John Cena w/ Stone Cold Steve Austin as
Special Ref!
Austin gets a massive pop... No suprise! JBL out... Promo time... Slags
off Britain and says America is superior.. Blah, blah... Also, says an
American had to buy out yuor football club... referring to Glazer and
Man Utd... I found it funny! Not many others did though! No surprise
agen... Sorry Si!
Angle out and then John Cena.. To a MASSIVE MASSIVE POP!... Bigger than
Austin's - suprised!
Match wasn't anything special... One spot was good... Angle got the
ankle lock on Cena, then JBL hooks on a camel cutch at same time...
Angle not happy with this and he nuts JBL in the back till he lets
go!!..
Cena did the usual... Funny though.. when he did the "You Can't See Me"
Bit... The crowd said it with him, but it was all high pitch voices,
exposing that all his fans are in fact 7 years old.. or of that mental
age anyway...
Cena won with the FU by the way!!!
Post match was great... Best I've ever seen at a house show...
Austin and Cena had a beer bash for quite a few minutes downing
loads!... Cena started bein a bit of a pussy so Austin gave him a
Stunner! AWESOME!... Big Show then came out... He wanted a beer...
Austin asked him how many he wanted... 1 beer WHAT? 2 beers WHAT? 3
Beers WHAT? and so on up to 15!... He then threw him loads.
Austin then said Cena should sing a song from his album. Cena teased it
then said Austin would rap, who then said Show would... And he did!
Ha... Well, he sang! He sang a couple of lines of a song I can't
remember and then a Hulkamania song!...
Cena was again asked to do a song, he again teased one... got Big Show
to beat box and then he said he had a short rap and it's called "FU" and
he picked Big Show up and gave him an FU!
They then left the ring...
Overall, good house show... OK matches, apart from the Toilet break
ones and the diva bit was just a filler... Main Event wasn't great but
it was good to see the stars especially Austin. Fave match was probably
the opening cruiser match. Rey Eddie was good but not different. Tag
match and Main Event were on a par... Just my opinion...

18,000 fans gathered at the Manchester Evening News Arena to witness John Cenas last match on the Smackdown brand. I went to buy a couple of T-Shirts before hand and they were selling as fast as the hot dogs as most had sold out or they only had small size left. One guy who was behind the counter had to take his Hogan T-Shirt off as someone wanted to buy it and it was the last one! He then put a Batista T-Shirt on... the wrong way...
Inside the actual arena the crowd were buzzing before hand, alot of Ric Flair Whoo chants echoed around. When the lights eventually went out we were underway and the ring announcer came down to start the evening off.
Match 1: Cruiserweight Title Match Billy Kidman v Paul London (C)
Kidman came out to a mixed reaction, i think coz he was the first wrestler out the crowd were quite hyped up, which made it seem like they were cheering him. London came out to a huge pop as he ran to the ring in his Ultimate Warrior style way. He summersalted off two of the turnbuckles to the pleasure of the crowd, and then our first match was underway... Fairly decent match with some good moves by London, especially when he summersalted over the top rope onto Kidman. Crowd were well behind London all match with huge London chants when Kidman was on top. Match ended when Kidman went to the top rope, only to be DDTed off it by London for the 3 count.

Match 2: Big Show v Carlito (with Matt Morgan)
Carlito cam out first to alot of heat, and Morgan was dissing the crowd on the way down. Show came out to a HUGE pop! Why people like this bloke i dont know, personally think he is very boring. Match was very slow with Carlito running away from Show about four times. At one point Carlito was in the ropes and the ref was wouldnt let Show near him so Show picked the ref up and sat him on one of the corner turnbuckles, quite funny moment.. Match ended when Morgan tired to interfere only for it to backfire and Big Show ended up hitting Carlito with the chokeslam for the victory

Match 3: Chavo Guerrero v Funaki
Chavo got huge heat from the crowd, Funaki recieved a small pop, but nothing major. Match was cut short when Funaki landed funny and blew his knee. I belive this was a legitmate injury as he was down for a good 3 minutes with officals checking on him, even Chavo backed off into the corner. Fair play to Funaki though because i think he wanted to finish the match, hence the delay for him to get together enough strength to do so. Officals started to get him out the ring and Chavo struck from behind, officals tried to enter the ring, only to get beat down by Chavo. This was quite funny. The crowd were giving Chavo alot of heat as Funaki was injured but Chavo was still beating him down. Match ended when Funaki managed to get a small package for the three count.

Match 4: WWE Tag Team Championship MNM (C) V Booker T / Hardcore Holly
Melina recieved a pop when entering the ring, due to the fact she was showing her ass as she entered the ring. MNM just recieved small heat. Holly came out first to a slightly mixed reaction, some boring chants could be heard. Booker T recieved a HUGE pop and enjoyed playing to the crowd. MNM dominated the match, wearing Booker T down and cheating at every available opportunity. Booker finally got a tag and all four started fighting. Match ended when Melina distracted Booker and has he followed her down the ramp way MNM finished Holly off for the pinfall. When MNM had left Booker T gave us all a Spin A Roonie.

Match 5: Matt Morgan v Mark Jindrak
Morgan comes out to heat and just like the previous match the face comes out to only a small pop. This was a very pointless and boring match, a go to the toilet moment. Matt Morgan won with his version of the rock bottom after about 5 minutes

Torrie Wilson then came out and started throwing T Shirts into the crowd. After a slight interuption from Melina, Torrie took off her own T Shirt and threw it into the crowd. We then had a ten minute interval
Theodore Long then came out to announce the main event for the evening to a huge pop and also announced the rematch of Eddie v Rey.
Match 6: Eddie Guerrero v Rey Mysterio
Eddie came out to a mixed reaction, dont think most fans new whether to boo or cheer him. Rey got a good pop and had most of the crowd reaction throughout. The match took a good five minutes to get started and was nothing compared to their Wrestlemania bout, and was quite a let down, very slow. There was also a few 'boring' chants throughout aswell. Match ended with the 619 from Rey and the pinfall. After the match Eddie attacked Rey from behind and then walked off, Rey chased up behind him and nailed him to the floor on the ramp way.

Match 7: WWE United States Championship Orlando Jordan (C) v Heidenreich
Heidenreich came out to a small pop with alot of fans chanting his name, god this man is a jobber and a waste of space! Jordan came out to a small heat. Match wasnt very long with Jordan scoring the pinfall with his legs on the ropes. After the match Heidenreich did his friends gag and got three kids in the ring marching, that was quite funny.

Match 8: Triple Threat WWE Title Match With Stone Cold Steve Austin as Guest Referee JBL V Kurt Angle v John Cena (C)
Austin came out to a HUGE pop and the cameras in the crowd were working overtime as he saluted the crowd on all four turnbuckles. JBL recieved major heat when he came out and influenced that also by his great in ring mic skills. Kurt Angle came out to the usual 'you suck' chants and then Cena came out to the biggest pop of the night. Only really two wrestlers in the ring at one time throughout this match as one of them always seemed to be on the outside recovering. Match contained 2 FUs to Angle, a clothesline from hell to Cena and an Angle Slam to JBL. Match ended when Angle knocked Austin down by accident... When Austin recovered he stunned Angle and poked JBL in the eyes when JBL went for him and then Cena FUd JBL for the three count.

After the match Cena and Austin celebrated with LOTS and i mean LOTS of beers, the announcer must have thrown at least 40 to 50 cans into the ring, Cena made a habbit of accidently dropping them though so Austin decided to hand them to him instead after a while. Austin also dropped a few. Austin then stunned Cena to a great pop and then helped him back up. They carried on drinking and then the Big Show came down and said he wanted a beer... so Austin threw him about 15 cans! Austin then got Big Show to sing but he was awful. Cena then went to rap and it turned into an FU on The Big Show, another huge pop as everyone applauded the nights entertainment.

Event Notes
Most of the matches took ages to get going, i think this was mainly due to the fact that there was alot of small children in attendance and were enjoying the banter between the faces and heels but it was so boring! Kurt Angle looked as though he didnt want to be there, he didnt speak on the mic, just came down, wrestled and then sneaked off after the match. Booker T was getting all the chants at the start of the tag match, he had to signal to the crowd to get them to chant Hardcore.
