WWE taped this week's edition SmackDown tonight at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina. Special thanks to Wrestling News World reader Tyler for sending text-message updates. SmackDown(Airing Friday on MyNetworkTV): * The show opens with Chris Jericho in the ring, cutting a promo on Team SmackDown for Bragging Rights. JTG comes out, then Vickie Guerrero. Out comes Dolph Ziggler, Eric Escobar, Drew McIntyre and finally Kane. Jericho and Kane setup a 4 on 5 tag team match because they say their team isn't ready. It's 4 on 5 because Shad is sick. Whoever wins, replaces the other on Team SmackDown * Matt Hardy, R-Truth, The Hart Dynasty, & Finlay b. Drew McIntyre, Eric Escobar, JTG & Dolph Ziggler. Hardy pinned JTG to get the win after a Twist of Fate. Matt Hardy, R-Truth, The Hart Dynasty, & Finlay replace their opponents on Team SmackDown at Bragging Rights. * They shoot a backstage segment with CM Punk, referee Scott Armstrong and Teddy Long. They are talking about the screwjob when Vince McMahon walks in, Armstrong leaves. * WWE Intercontinental Champion John Morrison b. Mike Knox. After the match, Morrison got on the mic and cut a babyface promo. * Chris Jericho & Kane congratulate Matt Hardy's team on replacing their old team, who "weren't ready". * They cut to a Divas promo featuring WWE Women's Champion Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix, Mickie James and Mae Young. Young ends up slapping McCool. * Batista and Rey Mysterio discuss their strategy for their match up next against Kane and Chris Jericho. * Batista & Rey Mysterio b. Kane & Chris Jericho when Batista speared Kane and pinned him. * Mickie James b. Layla * They ran a video package remembering the late Captain Lou Albano. * Jerry Lawler & Michael Cole, the "fill-in" commentary team for this week's edition of SmackDown, hype Sunday's Bragging Rights pay-per-view. * World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker b. CM Punk in a Submission Match to retain when Punk tapped in Hell's Gate. Punk tried another screwjob finish. After the match, Undertaker celebrated with the title belt.
