rajah.com Mailbag
-By Grandpa, Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II.
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to Rajah_WWF@Hotmail.Com. Please try to keep it short, since if it is too long, it will be prone to editting.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Grandpa, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Grandpa - RED
Kayfabe - YELLOW

IMPORTANT!!!
If you have anything to add to any of these questions/comments or even my remarks, please email me. I'm not claiming that all my info is correct, as I'm sure that some of it is inaccurate as well. PLEASE READ THE DIRECTIONS ABOVE AND NOTE THE CHANGE IN THE EMAIL ADDRESS!!!

hey mailbag guys, two simple questions for you
1- when mankind stuck the thumb tacks into his temple, how did he do that because it looked real yet he didn't bleed?
2- is the rock the first one to do the 'people's elbow' move or has there been others before him? if can put this in the mailbag, i would appreaciate it
thanx

1)This too was a work. Puncture wounds have a tendency not to bleed as much. Besides, with the thumbtacks in bedded in his body, it basically sealed the wounds.
2)Many wrestlers, have used the elbow drop. The Rock, is the first one to call it that particular move (peoples elbow). In my humble opinion, nobody can compare to Dusty Rhodes' "bionic elbow."

From:NDAVIS711
WE ALL AS FANS SHOULD DO WHAT WE CAN THROUGH THE INTERNET TO GET MACHO AND GG IN THE WWF.HE THE ONLY OVER FORTY WRESTLER THAT I LIKE AND THAT DOES'NT LOOK DECREPID.HEY WE GOT THE BLUE MEANIE IN THE WWF,WHY NOT GET MACH IN .ALSO WITH RAW SUCKING FOR THE FEW WEEKS THEY NEED A CHANGE IN SCENARY

Savage, is one of the stiffest workers in the business. Rumors have been reported that Savage injured several wrestlers with his off the top rope elbow, due to his bad knee. With Savage's inflated ego, age, and salary demands, I don't see him being a desirable aquisition for the WWF. I, too, would like to see more of Gorgeous George, regardless of the promotion.

From:ZorakBahr
Hey Rajah,
first off I have to say that your site is great, keep up the good work!
Ok. I was watching Nitro one day and Disco Inferno did a move that was EXACTLY the same as the Stunner. But the announcer called it something different. And later Rey Mysterio Jr. did a gay-looking Bronco Buster but they called it a RoughRider. Isn't there any boundaries that WCW knows not to cross. I saw ECW one day and Jerry Lynn did a Stunner and Joey Styles called it a STUNNER. My question is whether or not it is considered morally wrong in the wrestling business to steal someones move and pass it off as your own?

If it was morally wrong, we would have zero wrestling promotions. Vinny Mac, gets a lot of undeserved credit for being a pioneer of the industry. Sadly, few wrestling fans are aware of all the WWF's recycled angles. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: "wrestling copies wrestling" always has, always will!

I've been watching wrestling for the past 2 years, and I enjoy it thoroughly. I have a few questions, and some things I need cleared up due to my lack of experience.
1. Why did the WWF change the blue metal cage to a chainlink cage. The blue one seemed taller and i don't think it had a door.
2. I don't see the point in boiler room brawls. I've only seen two, but what is to stop one wrestler from just running to the door and leaving to win?
3. Why is the blue meanie still around? No one likes him,he sucks big time. I know he is still under contract because he is in the Wrestlemania 2000 game.
4. I wonder why Road Dogg gets such a huge reaction. He's been using the same lines for years, he sucks at singles compition, and he seems to be jealous of any wrestler better than him. He sucks with the mic (as demonstrated at summerslam, when he did color commentary). Do you have any suggestions?
5. Why the hell is Kane wasting his time with X-Pac??? X-pac is a weak, short and annoying kid. Kane is championship amtterial. The WWF could have VERY interesting story lines if they add Kane. Kane could even keep X-Pac as a manager, basically to help us understand what Kane is thinking. What do you think?
Thanks Raj, love your site

1)Each cage offers its own advantages. For instance, the blue cage would not have worked when TBS, threw SCSA, through it at St. Valentines Day Massacre. It all depends on the scripting of the match.
2)Agreed! Just another ill-fated gimmick match, that fails to entertain. Better the boiler room brawls than any more kennel matches.
3)The Meanie was let go a while back, it was an out pouring of fans who got him reinstated. So, their have to be some fans of the Meanie or he wouldn't be around today.
4)Maybe, he and Vinny Mac, are pot buddies. I dunno!
5)I agree, Kane seems to be lost in the shuffle, especially with all the egos.

From:Tim
Hi, great site.
I was wondering what the chances of WWF bringing Superfly Snuka back? He was always popular and would be much more entertaining than the Fabulous Moolah. What terms did he leave the WWF on? It is a shame to see a legendary wrestler working shows in high school gyms.
thanks

Slim and none; and Slim left town. Snuka, although a legend, has seen his better days. I saw him compete in the "Legends Of Wrestling" PPV. It was a sad sight to watch Father Time catch up with a true legend. Snuka has been around as long as I can remember.

From:Tike235
1)The WWF signed Chris Jericho and they aren't using him at No Mercy. I would much rather see Chris Jericho vs. his bodyguard guy over the Women's Title Match, wouldn't you?
Antoher question,
2)what's the point of the women's title, the matches suck and everyone hates him, the belt should be removed, don't you think so?

1)Yes, most definitely. Jericho along with TBS, have been misused thus far in their respective WWF careers. Hopefully, things will work themselves out, and start to benefit the newcomers.
2)I think, if properly organized, the Womens division could be quite intriguing. Then again, I love puppies and kitties.

From:Otis
Hey Rajah, great site!
First of all when the Rock was Rocky Miavia his finisher was the shouler breaker. Now I have a few questions.
1. The first time Rena Mero (sable) posed in P-boy her issue was the best selling issue ever, how many copies hs her second issue sold?
2. Why was Ryan Shamrock released from the WWF? She was the best looking woman there.
3. Who is your favorite woman currently with the WWF?
4. Now that Sable is gone which woman has the most cleavege in the big 3?
5. What would more acceptable in a WWF Pay-per view, a woman showing her Puppies (no top) or her kitty (no bottom)?
Thanks for your time Rajah, and please post this

1)I don't know the actual count. I do know the second shoot was not as popular though.
2)She wouldn't agree to the terms that were presented to her.
3)Terri Runnels
4)I would say Gorgeous George, however, Torrie Wison is the HOTTEST!
5)By FCC laws: puppies, by far.

From:Greg
Hey man, great site... the other night i was lying in bed trying to get to sleep when I thought about something. I remembered an episode of saved by the bell right after Zack and Kelly broke up and Jessie and Slater were trying to set Zack up with a girl, and Zack went to a movie with each of them. If my memory serves me (and it may not, since i haven't seen this episode in awhile) the girl that Slater set Zack up with looked like Jacqueline. I was just curious as to whether it WAS in fact Jackie.

I dunno! If anyone knows for sure, please send it in.

From:Corporate Vinman
Who is the only active wrestler (wrestling in the Big 2) who has never changed gimmick?

Sting!

Hey Raj., Kay., & Gramps.- This is the best site on the web yada yada yada.........
Anyways, I got a couple q's for ya.
1) Remember when the wwf introduced GTV? Well, i think it was originally for Goldust, because the first couple of weeks it was out it was GDTV.
2) Who do you think has the best entrance overall right now.(this includes music AND the way they enter the arena) I kinda like Triple H's.

1)I agree with you 100%.
2)I still say Ric Flair. I have yet to see anyone who can equal the respect that Flair's entrances bring. A true legend in every facet.

From:JD
OK, this one is for a real Hardcore ECW fan, I know Raj dosent get it in Canada, but Kayfabe and Gramp may be up for the challenge. I just got into ECW the past few months. One of my favorite parts of it is that the wrestlers all enter to cool metal songs, If yu could provide me with a list of theme music and the bands that play them, ifrom ECW past and present , myself and all the other fans out there would be grateful, I can start you off.
"Franchise" Shane Douglas- "Perfect Strangers" Deep Purple
Chris Candido- "Back In Black" AC/DC
The Sandman- "Enter Sandman" Metallica
Tommy Dreamer- "Man In A Box" Alice In Chains
Raven- "Keep Em' Seperated" The Offspring
"Lionheart" Chris Jericho- "More Human Than Human" White Zombie
Super Crazy- "Bawitdaba" Kid Rock
Steve Corino- "Kashmir" Led Zepplin
Balls Mahoney- "Big Balls" AC/DC
Spike Dudley- "Highway To Hell" AC/DC
Super Nova- "Intergalactic" Beastie Boyz

Most of these "Metal" groups, I listened to and saw in concert back in the early "80's! If any mailbag fans have any other ECW entrance music, please Email JD at click here

From:Y2J
Hey guys, excellent site. Yeah, you've heard it before, but hell, I just gotta tell ya. I visit this site at least twice a day. Anyways..... I was just reading in your daily updates section, with all the newsbits. And I read the one about Jericho not performing up to WWF expectations. Is that totally his fault? When he made his debut on Raw that night, it lookes as if the WWF was planning to start a fued with The Great One. But, that was just a one night thing (until later on). As far as I have noticed, the WWF hasn't even given Jericho a feud to work on yet, with the exception of Shamrock, (which the fued was cut short due to Shamrock's injury). What is the WWF expecting Jericho to do, carry his career on his own? He can get himself over with the fans, that is without a doubt. But he needs some top notch matches and feuds to actually interest the fans. I just get sick and tired of the fans, WWF management, and all the internet writers saying that Jericho is not living up to his "Grand Entrance." So my questions for you are these....
1.) Who do you think Y2J needs to feud with to keep the fans interested?
2.) Why do you think people are getting bored Jericho already?
3.) What is your honest opinion on Jericho as a mic worker, as a sports entertainer, and as a wrestler?
Thanks a bunch, and thanks for giving me a reason for getting on the internet everyday. Without this site, I probably wouldn't even get on this damn thing.

1) Well, now he is in the midst of a rivalry with Chyna, the "Intercontinental Champion". As long as there is a title in the picture, there will be interest, but it's hard to say who specifically would get Jericho some fan interest. Obviously, a feud with a main eventer would get a lot of attention, and believe me, Chris Jericho will be a main eventer someday. It's just a matter of time, and don't be surprised if it's quicker than you think. Oh, and as far as all these "The WWF is upset with Chris Jericho" rumours go, don't believe everything you hear.
2) Who is? I'm not. He's made a believer out of me. I look forward to him coming out each and every week. He, more than any other wrestler in the WWF, combines great wrestling with great mic skills. And that's a combination that's hard to beat.
3) Woops, I think I just answered # 3 in # 2. And I believe every word I wrote.

From:AsherIV
A long time ago Andre the Giant won the title and handed it over to Ted DiBiase which brought up the rule "if a WWF champ forfeits the title he cannot give it away, nor can he reclaim the title." This sparked the first championship for the title. What happened to that rule? Nowadays peeps are just hadning off titles left and right!!!

I hear ya. Same thing crossed my mind with all these changes recently (a la the Bulldog giving Al Snow the Hardcore Title, and Jeff Jarrett, whom I might add, was never beaten for the European Title, handing it over to Mark Henry.). Just goes to show you that the WWF has evolved over the years. Shocking development about the rulebook Gorilla always referred to: Fictious. Surprising isn't it?

Hey Raj
i wanna correct you on something. There was a question relating to the heavenly Bodies. Now if you are talking about the same Heavenly Bodies that i rememer (Bo and Blake) then yes they were Managed by the Genius, cause I always remembered the poems he read before the matches.
Please respond and post in the mailbag

No, no, no, no. No. Beau and Blake Beverly were the Beverly Brothers, and were managed by the Genius. They were arrogant heels that wore purple tights, and wrestled in the WWF from around mid 1991 to early 1993. The Heavenly Bodies, of Smokey Mountain Wrestling Fame were managed by James E. Cornette, and consisted of "The Doctor of Desire" Tom Pritchard and "Gigilo" Jimmy Del Ray. They were also heels, but wore black trunks and appeared in the WWF in the mid 90's.

great site.

1.who played the giant gonzales, and does he still wrestle?
2.V.K. Wallstreet used to wrestle in the WWF as IRS, and another name that i cant recall, what was it?
3.When is the WWF going to realize that Chris Jericho is a talented entertainer and get him away from his old wcw gimmick.
4. was bryan adams a part of Demolition. i remember the members were Ax, Smash, and Crush

1) The man's real name was Jorge Gonzalez. After leaving the WWF, he retired from wrestling.
2) Mike Rotunda was his real name, and he co-held the WWF Tag Team Titles under his real name in 1985 with Barry Windham. In 1991, in a time period before the internet, when it was nearly impossible to find out "inside information" from the world of wrestling, and what you saw on TV was what you got, there was a memorable sign at the Survivor Series: I
sn't Rotunda Stupid
3) I like the gimmick he is using now. Yes, he is a great entertainer, but give him time and he'll develop a WWF personality of his own.
4) Yep. When Ax (Bill Eadie) encountered some health problems, the WWF brought in Crush (Adams) as a third member for the team. The three's loss of the Tag Titles to the Hart Foundation at Summerslam '90, marked the downfall of the once legendary team.

Sorry about that, I asked you 2 questions about Kain yesterday, and after spending 3 hours reading your faq/mailbag I found them. But damn is your site informative :-) ok, here is a question that I know hasn't been asked.
I watched the Bret Hart and Andre the Giant's bio on A&E and it was facinating! Is there any other wrestling bio's on A&E or is there any in the works?

I found them fascinating as well. The following is news on the A&E biographies from rajah.com newsboard reporter Mandeep Dhaliwal:

The week beginning on November 15, the A&E Network will begin 'Wrestlers Week.' Monday will begin with an autobiography of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, followed by Owen Hart on Tuesday the 16th, Mick Foley on the 17th, Jesse Ventura on the 18th, and Andre the Giant to end the week.
For you video affcianados, the Andre the Giant bio will be released on video on the 23rd of November.

Dear Mailbag Crew.
I just had 2 questions I wanted you to add to the mailbag. In the Hardcore Title History it says Roaddogg beat BossMan for the hardcore title in 12/15/98 at Spokanne, WA. well I know 12/14 was a Raw at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA because I was there(by the way you can add that for the Tag title history for where Boss Man and Shamrock won the tag titles).
1)Any way did Roaddogg win at a house show because I don't think there was smackdown back then? appreciate the answer.
2)Also when are you going to add the womens title history?

1) Before Smackdown hit the air, the WWF used to tape RAW's on Tuesdays. Now RAW is live each and every Monday night, whereas months ago, every other RAW was live.
2) It's in the works.

Hi Guys,
I know you're tired of hearing this, but I, along with everybody else that writes in, love your site and check it out a couple of times a day. Sorry about that.

I only have one question, but it's been bothering me for a while, and now that his name has been in the news a lot recently, I have to know: Was Vince Russo also known as Vic Venom of WWF Magazine fame?

I also have a comment about the Mailbag. I think it might be a good idea if you had someone edit the questions a bit. I know you're very busy now, but you could probably find someone to take care of it for you, and it would improve the Mailbag considerably. Right now, most of the questions sent in are just this side of illegible. Some of them, I'm surprised you can decipher at all.
Thanks for the help

Vince Russo did indeed pen the column "The Bite" among other things as Vic Venom in the WWF Magazine. Vic Venom was sort of his alter ego for Magazine purposes.

You should see some of the questions that don't make it into the Mailbag. Sometimes, I will edit a word or two here or there, but believe me, I know where you're coming from. Still, sometimes the really bad ones, can be kind of entertaining to poke fun at.

From:Sandy
What are the titles of the adult movies that Val Venis appeared in?

Well, let's see. There haven't been very many. I know there was Saving Ryan's Privates (co starring the lovely Ryan Shamrock), and There's Something About Terri with Terri Runnels, but besides those, there have been few others.

From:Jayson
hey guys,
Perhaps you can remember this one (betcha a Rumors shoutout you can't). At Wrestlemania X, due to time constraints I believe, the 10-man tag match was cut. My question is, who was in that tag match? And was it cut because of time or injury? Keep on rocking in the free world!

Jeff Jarrett, The Headshrinkers, IRS, and Rick Martel were scheduled to take on the 1-2-3 Kid, The Smoking Gunns, Thurman "Sparky" Plugg, and Tatanka at Wrestlemania X, but the match was cut due to time constraints. The card had been stacked with some lengthy (good) matches. Owen and Bret went 20 minutes, as did the Ladder Match (Michaels vs. Razor). The Tag Title Match, Falls Count Anywhere Match, and first World Title Match each went well over ten, and so as not to cut the main event short, the WWF scrapped the 10 man tag by setting up a skit in which the heel team fought over who would be the captain. I remember being quite pissed when this happened, as I was looking forward to watching Double J kick a little ass, but I was on top of the world fifteen minutes later when Bret Hart beat Yokozuna to regain the WWF Title.

From:Gavin
I would just like to respond to a few questions from the last mailbag, as well as give a few as well.

Rocky's old finishing move was that of his father's - the shoulder breaker. Anyone who is a 'true' wrestling fan would've known that! Weren't the Bushwhackers Australian, or was that just their gimmick?

Now for a few questions:
1)whatever happened to the wrestler Bad news Brown?
2)When MarcMero first entered the WWF as the 'wildman', he was very athletic and did tope-rope moves like his finisher, the wild thing. After he got injured and came back again he never climbed the ropes after that. Was that due to his injury or was it cos of his gimmick as a boxer?
3)How long have the Hardy boyz been with the WWF, cos i remember seeing them on TV ages ago (at least i think it was them) and they wore bright illuminous clothes and tacky head bands, aswell as getting whipped by the new rockers! WAs that them?
4)About a month ago the wwf were pairing prince Albert with a feud with the Big Show. Was this cos the Show got Bob holly over so well with the fans that they were trying to do the same with prince Albert? And what happened to that angle?

Hope you can answer them, and btw, STOP putting Al snow down! He's paid his dues in the wwf from right at the bottom - it's about time he got out of that crappy hardcore division!
Cheers!

Give me a break. So I forgot one little jabronie's (you heard me) original finisher. So what! True wrestling fan? Please. I've forgotten more wrestling than you'll ever know :-). Speaking of the shoulderbreaker, I used to think there could be no finishing move worse than that... then I saw the People's Elbow. Imagine that- I just said something controversial. Let the hate mail poor in. And as for Butch and Luke, do youi think Grandpa would've let that one slip by him... Nah.
1) Like most WWF midcard wrestlers from that era, Bad News bounced around after his time in the WWF was up. He wrestled in a few indipendents. Nothing too major.
2) A little bit from column A, a little bit from column B. Perhaps they wre as a result of one another. Obviously, after a serious injury, one is not going to do nearly as many high risk maneuvers as before the injury. So, the WWF went with a different type gimmick that would allow him to take on a more grounded style. Sean Waltman, for example, used to be a tremendous high-flyer, but since his neck injury, he doesn't take nearly as many risks as he used to.
3) In the summer of 1998, the Hardy Boyz earned a tryout in the WWF's Funkin Dojo where they were trained by Dory Funk Jr. From there, they worked their way onto WWF TV (Shotgun), until they recieved their push towards the Tag Team Titles last spring.
4) They wanted to get Albert into a bigger angle, as to give him a bit of a push. It seemed as if they had dropped the angle, and gone with a Big Show/Boss Man feud instead, however, the last week or two of WWF television has indicated that Albert has now been inserted into this angle as well. It's pretty complicated, but we do know one thing: Prince Albert is getting a bigger role in the WWF.

If your question didn't make it here, one of two things is likely up. I either did not know the answer or have not gotten to your email yet. Also, it may be that your question has an answer which is found elsewhere on the page. The next Mailbag will go up sometime next week. Later.
