| rajah.com Mailbag -By Grandpa, Kayfabe and Rajah |
Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.
Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:
1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II.
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to Rajah_WWF@Hotmail.Com. Please try to keep it short, since if it is too long, it will be prone to editting.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Grandpa, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW
Sawan - BLUE
IMPORTANT!!!
If you have anything to add to any of these questions/comments or even my remarks, please email me. I'm not claiming that all my info is correct, as I'm sure
that some of it is inaccurate as well. PLEASE READ THE DIRECTIONS ABOVE AND NOTE THE CHANGE IN THE EMAIL ADDRESS!!!
From:Kevin
1)Hey, My name is Kevin and I just wanted to make one thing clear, that the 4
teams involved in the Raw Bowl were, 1-2-3 Kid and Sid vs. The Smoking Gunns
vs. Savio Vega and Ramon vs. Owen Hart (R.I.P.) and Yokozuna.
2)I also wanted
to ask a question. How old is Chris Jericho,
b)how long is his contract for,
c)and how long do you think it will wake for him to get Main Event status, if
you EVEN think he will!
1) Thanks for the clarification.
2a) Jericho is in his late 20's.
b) It expires in July 2002.
c) Quicker than one might think. Chris Jericho will eventually be the biggest star in this business. Who knows how long it will take? The way titles are changing hands these days he could have 3 Intercontinental Title reigns by next summer. From there he can only go up. The Rock may be the Great One, but Chris Jericho is the Next One.
From:Lex
Hey, I just want to point out to kayfabe that the rocks birthday is may 2 ,
and to grandpa i think that yokozuna had the shortest title reign when he
beat bret hart in a ppv and hogan beat him a couple of minutes after.
thanks
Believe me, we know. Grandpa merely mentioned that many wrestlers had recieved one day title reigns, and happened to list Mankind as one recent example. Yoko and Andre the Giant are definitely the two specific names that come to mind when the topic of shortest title reign is thrown around.
From:Judy W.
I just wanted to let you guys know that on the most recent edition of the mailbag someone asked if there will be another Hell in a Cell match w/ Mankind vs Undertaker. If you watched the A&E biography on Mick Vince McMahon said when talking about HIAC quote "Never again Mick, never again". So I would say Vince wouldn't let either of these guys participate because of their health and because of what Mick did to his body last time.
From:ACpheonix
hey to all you people at rajah.com,
5 questions:
1)whatever happend to the rematch between hogan and the warrior?
2)howcome the wwf stopped the inductions into its hall of fame?
3)do you think the wwf is being hypocritical, they let go vader at 405lbs
yet the hire almost 500lbs of fatu and viscera.
4)how come the wwf never really pushed owen hart(rip) to be come a grandslam
champion like shawn micheals when bret left?
5)why didn't the wwf let the l.o.d finish their careers as wwf tag champs, the
could have
beaten hart and jarrett at wm 16 instead of test and d-low fighting them.
thanx alot your site is great.
1) It never happened because Warrior got injured and then subsequently released. However, lately he has had ideas of returning to WCW now that Bischoff is gone.
2) Mainly because the next batch of inductees (Bret, Hulk, Macho Man, etc.) are all currently with WCW and/or left on bad terms. So in other words, they would not show up for the "ceremonies" or equally likely: the WWF would not want them.
3) Vader was released because of other problems that had nothing to do with weight, but the weight didn't help matters. The WWF says all the right things when it comes to the weight issue and yet they still let wrestlers like Viscera compete. I don't see a problem with it, but people will jump all over you if you say one thing and do another.
4) I've been searching for the answer to that question for two years now. Owen had it all. Aside from Bret, Shawn, and The Undertaker, Owen was the WWF's long man. He had followed the same path as Bret and Shawn. He'd been involved in Tag Teams, and won every other title there is to hold. Yet for some reason he never got his push. Owen was more technically sound than Michaels and a better flyer than Bret. He was the consumate wrestler; he had it all. I have no idea why he didn't get his push. Especially when you consider the fact that the WWF would have had the perfect angle. Owen avenging his brother and feuding with Michaels? How great would an Owen/Shawn WWF Title Match have been? I get excited just thinking about it. Unfortunately Owen never got the shot he deserved. And now he never will.
5) The LOD has been injured, so they wouldn't have competed at Wrestlemania. I, too, would have liked to see their careers end on a more positive note.

Hey! i was just wonderin the date of the first raw!!!
thanx!!
RAW debuted in January 1993.

Hey, Hey, Hey I don't really have any questions, but more of some comments:
1)Do you think that they would have a Big Show v. Undertaker title match at
WM16, if they throw in a stipulation like a casket match, and have Big Show
keep the title until WM it would be a good match I think.
2)Why do people
care so much about the ratings, and if WWF slips in the ratings, if the keep
the same product that people like they should just watch what they want not
what is winning the ratings.
Now this question might sound stupid, but it is
no stupidder than all the damn questions about HBK and Debra,
3)was
WrestleMania the first wrestling pay per view or what??
4)Also on the thing
about wrestlers using cue cards I think it looks like crap.
5) if
you can have people complain that the WWF never comes to San Jose than can I
ask you to put in a link to e mail the WWF about coming to New Mexico, none
of the promotions ever come here and it is depressing.
Thanks alot and I hope
you put this in the mailbag. peace
1) There is no doubt in my mind that The Rock will finally regain the WWF Title at Wrestlemanis.
2) I don't care. I've been a WWF fan for life. Many fans go with what is hot though. Once something catches on it expands and expands until it blows up (ex: WCW circa '96-'98).
3)
4) Crap.
5) E-mail the WWF by clicking here.
From:Jack
hey people! great site u got i visit every day! anyways, q's:
1) Will Y2J ever be the wwf championship anytime, or the next IC champ?
2) Is there any chance Y2J will team up with test? or have a sexy chick manager?
3) Will Crash Holly ever hols a singles title, cause that would be cool!!
4) What happened to Val Venis and the Godfather as a tag team??
5) Will the lightweight belt come into action soon? ( champ:grandmastasexy??)
6) Will xpac be kicked out of dx? he is crap!! hhh and new age outlaws dont
need him
anyway keep up the great site!!
1) He'll have some IC success before he gets a run at the WWF Title.
2) A team with Test would make no sense. A chick manager? With the increase of WWF women, I wouldn't be surprised.
3) Once is team with Bob ends, I don't see why not. But right now the Holly's will remained focused on the Tag Titles.
4) Well, when Val turned heel and feuded with Mankind, it wouldn't have made too much sense to continue that team.
5) No, the lightweight division only detracts from the Tag division, which the WWF has been trying to build up for years now.
6) I could've sworn I've already seen this angle. HHH turning on X-Pac? Sounds familiar. It's not going to happen again especially so soon after DX's reunion.
From:RChack41
I saw someone use "blading" in one of their questions. Just curious as to
know what that mean.
When wrestlers "blade" they cut themselves with a small concealed razor blade to make themselves bleed.
From:Greg
Hey Rajah, great site!
I just have some questions.
1)People always write into
mailbag claiming to absolutely love the site, but then they go on to ask
stupid questions like "What happened to shamrock?" or "Where's undertaker?"
If they really were fans of the site they would already know what's going
on. Seriously, Rajah mentions it in all of his rumors, and then the other
columnists might mention it, and there's always stuff on the newsboard about
that stuff.
2)Why do you put their questions in the mailbag when it's easy
enough to find the answer?
3)Another thing that bothers me is all the people
who write in who think that you know what will happen at the shows.
I think
the bottom line is that I just cannot stand stupid people, and there are a
lot of them out there. Well, I'm done venting. Great site guys, keep up
the good work.
1) Excellent point. I would never say such a thing, but I'm glad you pointed it out. Another thing I don't understand is why everyone writing to us writes "Mailbag" in the subject. I mean, our e-mail address is used solely for the Mailbag... we know that's the reason you're writing. Ah, but now I'm nitpicking.
2) Because we have to fill it up with something.
3) I don't know. I just don't know. I am certainly not a WWF employee, so I don't know what will happen at their shows. Hell, most of you probably know before I do because I refuse to read spoilers.

Well Hello,
Please add these questions to the mailbag.
1. First Off, I read in the previous mail bag that
asked where is brutus beefcake and grandpa responded
by saying he works in wcw, well where in wcw and what
does he do.
2. Can wwf or wcw play common music like ecw or is it
against some law or code.
3. I was watching the royal rumble with the main event
sid vs Hbk and during the royal rumble when deisel
came out was the Kevin Nash or Glen Jacobs because it
looks more like Glen.
4. Do you ever see RVD coming to wwf within a couple
years and don't respond "any thing can happen in the
wrestling industry.
5. Just a comment but everbody says HHH started from
the buttom blah blah blah, but nobody gives respect
that the rock also started from the buttom, remember
him in his gay blue shorts.
6. What ever happen to the midgets, they were the
BEST, do you ever see the comming back to the 3
promo's.
7. I just want to say that the name of your site
rajah.com should be changed to something because
rajah doesn't do as much as he used to, his rumor
update is basically muched off of thememasters or
somebody else, Just wanted to give respect to Grandpa,
Jana, kayfbe, ext...
Thanks Dude!!
The staff appreciates the compliments; however, you're sadly mistaken with your perception at the amount of work Rajah puts in, day after day. I, for one, admire his dedication to the site. I don't know of anyone who is more responsible than Rajah. Good Gawd, he goes to school full time, works an extremely stressful job, puts in countless hours daily on the site and still maintains a personal life. IMNSHO, your comments are out of line and you owe him an apology!
No apology is needed. This person actually emailed the above questions to me personally and when I replied, he somewhat apologized and said he didn't mean it like that. In any case, it is his opinion, despite how inaccurate it may or may not be. One thing I will make clear though: I do NOT mooch anything off of Thememaster. He is our theme music affiliate and I don't visit his site to get news. In fact, the only site I drop to check news from is 1Wrestling.
1) I'll have to defer to Grandpa on this one; he's really the WCW guy. When it comes to WCW, I am not the guy to ask.
2) They would need permission from the recording artist and/or his or her company. However, the WWF's Jim Johnston does a fantastic job of composing the themes and I don't think the WWF would even use actual songs if they were offered it. As for WCW, who knows.
3) No, the Diesel that interfered in a World Title match between Michaels and Sid was the real Kevin Nash.
4) any thing can happen in the wrestling industry.
5) I didn't know shorts had sexual tendencies... Bottom line is everyone starts from the bottom. I would tend to think that HHH started farther down than the Rock though. He got pushed to the moon when he entered the WWF.
6) Unfortunately, no, but you're right; the midgets rule.
7) I agree with the below. Rajah makes it all happen; he works his ass off and it makes me sick when I see people refuse to appreciate it. Oh, and by the way, my real answer to number four is no.
From:gilpdawg
Hey guys, regarding the Excalibur character on WM2000, that pic was from
an early preview edition and I believe it was supposed to be Y2J, but
they went back and changed it before the game was released so it's not
in the final version of the game that is out now. I, too, remember
seeing that picture way back when.
Anyhow, you guys do a great job.
Peace.
From:JP
What's your opinion on all the defections going on, with so many bookers and
now Jarrett leaving the WWF for WCW? Do you think WCW could possibly become
"The" company to work for? What can McMahon and Co. do to maintain their
dominance?
Thanks!
This defections will most likely help the WWF. It will add more competition forcing both companys to produce great shows and even better PPVs.

Ok, this may seem like a dumb question but, does Billy Gunn have a tattoo around his neck, or is it just one of those necklaces?
Thanks!
It's just a necklace type band.

hey raj,
Got a couple of questions for you:
1). whatever happened to rick martel and is he still wrestling?
2). why doesnt mankind take any falls anymore like he used to?
3).why dont they have more hell in a cell matches with the main eventers, for
instance, the rock vs austin or triple h?
1)He went to WCW and was forced to retire after a neck injury. I believe he is still employed by WCW in some capacity.
2)Mankind said himself that he is getting old and that his body can't perform the usual stunts that we have grown accustomed to.
3)The WWF has reduced these matches because of fear of injuries to their top stars. As well, if the WWF overused gimmick matches it would lose its appeal.

Hi
I just have a few questions I'd like to ask and hopefully you'll know the
answers.
(1) Why doesn't the WWF bring King Kong Bundy back?
(2) Where is Ryan Shamrock? I know she was let go but why? Also I would like
to know her real name.
(3) Can you actually buy Head or those J.O.B. squad t shirts?
I think that's it for now I would be very greatful if I could find out some
of the answers for these.
1)There's no current role for him in the WWF.
2)Alicia Webb (A.K.A. Ryan Shamrock) is now working for WCW as Symphony. She got released after requesting an increase in her payroll.
3)You can purchase styrofoam "Head" dolls at WWF live events or maybe even from the WWF's Shopzone. As for the shirts, I don't believe they have any available, but you can check the Shopzone for that as well.

i was just looking at a report from the 2x zone, and it said
that the undertaker (my favorite wrestler) that he has sent his
notice that he it retireing, and it said, he will announce his
retirement on the first raw of 2000! please find out if this is
true or false!
thanx.
FALSE! Undertaker is not retiring nor is he leaving the WWF!
From:Cindy
THis has been buggin me for weeks.
what does Jericho 4 Greenberg 0 mean.
I believe you are referring to Goldberg. This little mini-feud happened in WCW when Goldberg was going on his big undefeated streak. Jericho called out Goldberg and when he came to the ring, someone would distract him causing him not to show up. Jericho claimed this as a win as this happened on more than one occasion. This lead to a match in which of course, Goldberg won.

In an interview I saw with Prince Albert he stated he played football at The University of Pittsburgh. Being a big Pitt fan I was wondering if you know his real name. Keep up the good work, your site is awesome.

His real name is Matt Bloom and I believe he's from Boston.

1)Is Chyna ever going to go back with Triple HHH?
2)Also, I don't like the fact
that Kitty is now appearing with her. Is this going to be permanent?
1)Yeah eventually Chyna will reunite with her D-X compadres.
2)This will not be permanent, nothing in the WWF ever is.
From:Dan
hey wassup, great site, you should start your own
magazine. Any way I have a few Questions!
I have asked you before but i didnt get this question
in the mail bag:
1)aWhen Taz makes his debut in the WWF,
will he be heel or face, cause ive been hearing that
he will have a Steve Austin Typen role and just not
care about anyone.
1b)When Taz arrives,
what kind of "PUSH" will he receive? Immediate main
Event , IC runner, or hardcore contender.
2 Will there ever be someone that you would least
expect to winn the wwf belt for at least a week or 2.
i it would be really funny to see someone like
Gillberg win the belt. What are your thoughts, I know
that there is no chance in hell of that happening.
3. Will D-Lo ever ger a WWf Heavy Weight title shot ,
He is one of my favorite wrestlers, I think he
deserves a shot.
4. I have a scenerio for the Test Stephanie Angle. I
think that Test Stephanie, Shane a Vince will all turn
heel and reform the corporation, revealing that The
McMahons knew all along that test is the one that his
austin with the car?
5.Another possible angle for the Attempted Vehicular
homiside angle is that maybe Taz could be the one who
hit austin, maybe it wont be revealed who hit austin
until january of 2000.
Well thats all my questions, Nice site and by the way
I hope you can consider starting your own magazine
that would be cool. Please put this in your mail bag.
thanx for reading this!!!
1a) There is no word yet on what the WWF will do with Taz when he comes to the WWF. The might do what they did with Jericho, where they make their decision after his debut and crowd reaction.
1b) It is said that he will get a huge-push to either main-event or high mid-carder status.
2) That could happen, but it would totally destroy the WWF title.
3) With all the rumors going around with D'Lo going to WCW, I don't know. If D'Lo stays with the WWF, he will most likely be pushed as a main-eventer in the years to come.
4) The re-formation of the Corporation could be good to see, but that would ruin their current angle with DX.
5) Taz driving the car instantly establish him as heel and put him straight into the spot light. The WWF could use that if the want Taz to be a main-eventer right away.
From:Zorak
Is there any chance in hell that the PTC can get Smackdown taken off the air?
In the words of the late, great, Gorilla Monsoon..."highly unlikely."
From:Andrew
Hey Rajah, Kayfabe, Grandpa
Just want to say you've got one hell of a site, but yeah, you've
heard it all before.
Just a few comments and questions:
I know we've been talking about '97 Survivor Series screwjob for
ages, but I just thought I'd offer my observations
1) Anyone notice how the fans were punching and holding HBK for Bret
Hart
punch? My instant reaction was these were "plants", but then I
began
to think it might have been a shoot, if all of the fans were marks.
ii) Also, we know that HBK was in on the screwjob, but what about guys
like Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler? In the couple of minutes leading
up to Michaels putting Hitman in the Sharpshooter, they're saying
"Here it comes! The Sharpshooter!" And stuff like that. They're
talking about Bret Hart, who was as usual going for the knee in
preparation for the sharpshooter. But the way they said it, it
kind
of sounded like they knew the screwjob was about to take place....
2) As a huge fan of the Undertaker, I see that a return as a face
would
be possible, if not probable. Sure, he wouldn't revert completely
to his old self (from 1998, though that would be great if he did)
but might could easily turn face again. It wouldn't really insult
our intelligence, because what about Vince McMahon? Austin's "made
his life a living hell" and now there's NO animosity between the
two?
3) I see another title reign for the Taker. Someone wrote in and said
the Rock deserved to be champ because of his loyalty to the WWF.
Taker has been loyal to them for nearly a decade. I agree, he does
not really need a title to build a storyline with another wrestler,
but he really needs another long reign, like in '97.
4) Anyone agree with me that the WWF really screwed up the character
of Kane? He's gone from "a monster" to being "almost human".
Although
it will never happen, they might as well have him unmasked.
5) Back at the 1995 King of the Ring, they showed footage of Jerry
Lawler
vomiting in the back. How did they get this illusion - a capsule in
his mouth?
6) Back to the Undertaker, one scenario would be one that would shock
EVERYONE - with someone like Austin or another face going for the
title (or perhaps defending) against a heel like Triple H, Taker
comes
in, with a chair or another weapon. Everyone expects him to help
the heel.
There's a stareoff between Undertaker, and let's say, Austin. Then
Taker turns
suddenly and lays out Triple H with the chair. Austin picks up the
win.
It would mean a face turn, and get Undertaker back into the main
storylines.
7) If the WWF signed Macho Man, they could have him in DX. Instead of
coming in
in and saying "Oooh Yeah, Dig it", he could do the crotch chop, and
say
"Ooooh Yeah, SUCK IT!"
8) I'm the only one that hates the Rock? I mean, he's a great
wrestler, but
why doesn't anyone else know what the Rock is smoking?
Thanks if this gets in the mailbag, hope it wasn't TOO long.
1) You would have to believe that JR and Jerry Lawler were either in on it or knew about it.
2) I believe Taker could become a face again, but keep his old heelish tactics.
3) Taker is probably the one wrestler who really deserves the belt. He has been with the WWF through thick and thin. However, the WWF knows that Taker doesn't need the belt to be effective. They keep the belt away from to make more main-eventers in the WWF.
4) I have to agree with you again. Kane used to be a feared monster and now he's a softy. There needs to be drastic change inorder to keep Kane a force in the WWF.
5) They WWF either used a capsule or actually got Lawler to puke. It's not that hard to puke...example: Darren Drozdov.
6) That would cool to see, but I found the Undertaker better when he was heel and hated everyone else.
7) I don't know if Savage would fit as a degenerate. I for one, see DX as a young, immature group, while the macho one is old and not too immature. He would be the odd one out.
8) The Rock is a very good and funny entertainer. I will admit some of his catch phrases get old once in a while, but the fans love it, so he keeps doin' it.
From:Charles
Hey Rajah,
I try and look at the page every day for rumors, tapings, etc. It is the best damn site I have ever seen for one particular area. I have a few questions for all of you.
1. I think a great main event for Wrestlemania is Rock vs HHH with Austin screwing The Rock out of the title. I know a lot of people would be mad. What do you think?
2. X-Pac currently doesn't have much of an angle than DX ( I mean Outlaws in Tag, HHH with Vince). What do you think about X-Pac being thrown in the IC division or a possible feud with Jericho?
3. The Big Show is getting a lot of heat from wrestling fans over the belt. One thing I was wondering, did many people feel the same way after HBK beat Bret or Austin beat HBK? If they were surprised, then we should see what the WWF has in store for TBS.
4. Do you ever see Sid coming back? His wrestling skills weren't that great, but his personality was pretty good.
5. Where is Taz going to be put(angle-wise) when he gets into the WWF? Any thoughts?
Again, thanks and I'll keep on reading every day.
1) A Triple H/Rock main event for WM 16 seems most likely, with the injuries to Austin. If Austin were to screw the Rock over, that would defenitly open new doors for the WWF, but they would be hard to explore if Austin cannot compete. If it were to happen, that would be a good move for the WWF.
2) Any X-Pac/Jericho angle would be a very entertaining angle. Both competitors are very talented and are willing to take risks. This feud (if it happens) would establish both wrestlers as superstars.
3) Both HBK and Austin were very established wrestlers. Their victories did not come as a surprise to anyone. Many people believe that Show hadn't been in the federation long enough to have won the strap. That's were his heat came from.
4) SId in the WWF? Not anytime soon.
5) I think the best way to establish Taz as a good wrestler would be to stick him in an angle with either Kane, D'Lo Brown or a hardcore feud with Al Snow or Mankind.

From Rajah's Number 1 UK Fan
Hey Rajah, Grandpa, Kayfabe, love the site and visit everyday and there are a couple of things l hope you can help me with!!!
1) Do you not think th WWF is really underusing Tori? To me she is probably one of the best females in the fed.
2)When Terri Runnels signed a new contract, was she not meant to get a better role in the WWF? She may manage the Hardy's but she never does anything.
3) At Survivor Series do you not think Jericho was the best performer all night? Surely it can't be long until he wins a title. If he loses to Chyna again l may go mad!!!! PS: Kitty should definately go back to blond.
4) And finally, do you know if Smackdown is going to be shown in the UK??? I really hope it is. And if it is, do you know what night it will be on???
1) One the thing that Tori has yet to master to become the top female performer would be her mic skills. Don't get me wrong, she is a great wrestler, but she fails to get crowd reaction for what she does. Compare her mic skills to say Ivory's. Once Tori improves her mic skills, she could easily be the WWF's top women's wrestler.
2) Terri's new contract said that she would get more air time, which she has. I believe that she should have a better role, but with the lack of her wrestling ability, that could be hard to do.
3) The Chris Jericho/Chyna match at SS was by far the best match of the night. Jericho will surely win a belt soon, if not at Armageddon. Kitty Blonde...yup!
4) As for Smackdown in the UK, I really don't know. The only the UK fans and the Canadian fans can do is either contact their local station or the WWF and ask for Smackdown in your respected country.

Hi fella
A couple of questions for ya. How is a wrestler?s salary
determined? Is it based on performance or how popular the wrestler is? For
instance, SCSA is by far the most marketable wrestler at present, but his
wrestling skills are by no means the best in the WWF. Does he get paid
according to his character?s success or for his mat-skills? Then you have
somebody like Mick Foley who willingly jumps off 20 foot high cages. Would he
pull in a lot of cash by being such a high-risk taker?
2)Last question - who has
the biggest salary in wrestling today?
Thanks
1)It is mainly determined through a combination of the wrestler's popularity/drawing power coupled with how much merchandise sales he/she pulls in. Most wrestlers have an annual (base) salary and then are rewarded with a percentage of their merchandise sales.
2)No one knows who exactly makes the most, but when you factor in the merchandise, I'd guess Steve Austin makes the most. His annual salary has been reported to be almost $8 million. Bret Hart and Hollywood Hogan are also amongst the industry leaders in salary, and probably get a higher base salary than Austin.
From:Dave
Dear Rajah,
Cool site. I always go here for WWF info. Now this is my third time
writing in to you and hopefully you will answer this one. Ok, I read a story
about Ken Shamrock and the Nasty Boys getting into a fight. I guess this
took place a long time ago, but the site I found this at didn't really
explain it well. All they really said was that The Nasty Boys beat the hell
out of Shamrock.
1)I was wondering if you could explain this whole story to
me.
2)Also, I wanted to know if you could tell me what year this happened and
what federation because to my memory Shamrock came into the WWF late 96 early
97 and the Nasty Boys left the WWF around 93.
3) Also, is Paul Wight related to Andre the Giant? I heard a LONG time ago
that he was Andre's son. They do have similar faces in my opinion.
1)I don't believe this story is legit. I've never heard it. If anyone has more info, please pass it along.
2)N/A
3)No, they ARE NOT related. This angle was created by Hogan when TBS was in the WCW. Andre only has one daughter.

This is for whoever can address this question. I am returning to watching
the WWF, after a long layoff. I was wondering if you could explain the
origins of the "RAW is WAR program". Did it used to be just RAW and then
another program was WAR. I mean, why does the credit come up at 10:00? It
is as if they are produced as two seperate programs.
Thanks
Exactly. Before it used to be called "Monday Night RAW" (with no WAR) in it, but I'm guessing since "Monday NITRO" came in, the WWF decided to change their name. (Say Monday Night RAW and Monday NITRO both really quick). Anyways, WAR was introduced since it was a catchy word and it is RAW spelled backwards and since then, the WWF has split it up into further by creating "The WarZone". It is mainly done so they can get two different ratings for the shows. The first hour is more inclined towards the younger viewers and the last hour to the adults.

Hello Rajah, grandpa, Kayfabe
Is the WWF interested in Mikey Whipreck? He was just released form WCW,
and he'd be a good addition to the WWF Lightheavyweight division.
As far as I know, they showed almost no interest at all. Probably cause Heyman wanted him.

I was wondering why the WWF home videos don't come out by Colliseum anymore.
Another thing why is it called WrestleMania 2000 this time instead of XVI.
One more thing, in your opinion rank your favorite WrestleManias from best to worst.
I heard that the WWF was not impressed at how long Colosseum was taking to produce the videos. Before, it would take about 2 months after the PPV for the video to come out and since they cut ties with Colosseum, it has improved drastically.

Hi Rajah, Grandpa, and Kayfabe,
GREAT job on the webpage. I visit at least three times a day. Just a couple
quick questions for you.
1) In the Corporate Corner, Vinman has a poll for 99. One of the questions
is "What was the lowest low point of 99?" And one of the choices was "SCSA
refusing to job to HHH at Triple H." Could you guys please shed the specifics
on this one for me. Also, I'm hearing that one of the reasons Jeff Jarrett
is leaving is because SCSA refused to get in the ring, less alone job to him,
and same with Billy Gunn...I cannot believe the WWF would buckle to Austin
like this, especially considering that Austin is getting to be "past his
prime" to put it nicely. {Tanya's tantrum: Gee, I wonder who will win No
Mercy tomorrow nite}
Thanks,
Well, again this is on the basis of what is leaked onto the internet. It's tough to sit here on the computer and say "yeah, Austin refused to work with so and so" when we don't know the whole story. However, as far as your question goes, the speculation was that Austin refused to job CLEANLY to Triple H at Summerslam, which is why the WWF had to insert Mankind into the three-way match as well. And as for Jarrett, Austin vetoed working with him since he felt that Jarrett was not yet "over" enough to help carry a main event with him. Russo had thought up a Jarrett/Austin angle and Austin rejected it and had Jim Ross' support as well. Ross told Jarrett, and Jeff decided to leave.

Hey Rajah, Grandpa, and Kayfabe,
How's it going? THIS SITE ROCKS!!!
PLEASE PUT THIS IN THE MAILBAG, PLEASE!!
I have a few questions:
1) I live in Calgary/Alberta. Do you think that there might even be a
small chance that the WWF will ever come back over here. Cause ever
since the Owen Hart tragedy (We miss you Owen!) the World Wrestling
Federation hasn't even mentioned about coming over to the West Side of
Canada. Sure they have their stuff in Toronto and Montreal but I would
like to see the WWF in action up close again.
2)Since Jeff Jarret is going to the good ol' wrasslin boys down south
what will become of Miss Kitty?
3)Do you think that the WWF will realize that there showing to many
Payper views and tone it down a bit? I mean there's so many it's getting
so carried away that there's no excitment or antcipation like there used
to be.
4) And of corse the most important question of all: WHEN, IF EVER, WILL
SUNNY COME BACK TO THE WWF? I know that she's in ECW right now. I even
saw her last night on TV. So does that mean that she's under contract
right now or could she just leave. I've read that you to talk once and
awhile or something like that so you could please ask her. If you do man
I promise you that if the WWF ever comes to Calgary I'll make the
biggest rajah.com sign the world has ever seen. Now is that bribery,
I would think so.
1)Well, I live in Edmonton so this question is of interest to me as well. From what I can dig up, the WWF will eventually come back to Western Canada, however it is very unclear whether it will be for anything big, ie. PPV or RAW. With the Canadian dollar being so low, the WWF can easily make more in a big market American city. A tour through Western Canada was cancelled in September due to the introduction of Smackdown.
2)Miss Kitty will remain in the WWF and as of now, appears to be playing the role of Chyna's valet. There really is no other way for her unless some new angles come up.
3)The WWF has come to the realization that more PPVs with smaller buyrates equals more money than less PPVs with high buyrates. And money talks.
4)Sunny probably won't return to the WWF. There haven't been any talks in quite some time but it is important to note that she is only under a verbal contract with ECW. If a better deal comes up in either WWF or WCW, she (along with Chris Candido) are free to leave.

Do you guys happen to know if the "Rock" (Duane Johnson) is an AOL member.
Cause I have seen a lot of people that have been trying to impersonate the
Great One on AOL. If you could answer this one question, I would be very
appreciative.
Peace.
No, he does not have AOL. I actually had to "bust" one kid pretending to be him a few months ago. Always be weary of someone claiming to be a wrestler or valet. There's also a fake "Debra" online somewhere too.

Rajah,
Awesome site!
I totally trust your judgement when it comes to rumors.
Please answer this question for me. My last 3 haven't been printed.
How old are Ivory, Terri, Kimona, and Ms. Congeniality?
I honestly have no idea about ages, especially the ladies who don't like blabbing it to any old person. As a result, please do NOT send any more questions asking how old certain wrestlers are. The only thing I can do is guess, which I don't like doing because it's very unreliable.
Ivory-mid 30s
Terri- early 30s
Kimona- no idea
Ms. Congeniality- no idea
From:BigShow888
hey raj , gramps, or whoever is answering this?
I have a couple questions.
Can you (in your opinion) tell me where the following young wrestlers might
be headed:
1. val venis
2. dlo brown(my fav.)
3.test
4.edge
5. hardyz
1. Val Venis-Is being pushed as an almost tweener, but I think in the future, if he's given a pure heel role, he will be amongst the best.
2. D'lo Brown-Rumored to be leaving the WWF, but will no doubt get a push where he chooses to go. Probably will never get to main-event status but will come close.
3.Test-Definitely in line for a push to the moon, Test will be amongst the brightest stars for the WWF in the year 2000 and on.
4.Edge-Same boat as Test, but his push will start well after Test's. Appears to be following the careers of Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels, both of whom started as part of a tag team.
5. Hardyz's-Since they're young, the Hardys will no doubt dominate the tag team scene in a few years. We haven't seen anything yet as far as they are concerned.
If your question didn't make it here, one of two things is likely up. I either did not know the answer or have not gotten to your email yet. Also, it may be that your question has an answer which is found elsewhere on the page. The next Mailbag will go up sometime next week. Later.
