rajah.com Mailbag
-By Grandpa, Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II.
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please try to keep it short, since if it is too long, it will be prone to editting.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Grandpa, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW
Sawan - BLUE

IMPORTANT!!!
If you have anything to add to any of these questions/comments or even my remarks, please email me. I'm not claiming that all my info is correct, as I'm sure that some of it is inaccurate as well. PLEASE READ THE DIRECTIONS ABOVE AND NOTE THE CHANGE IN THE EMAIL ADDRESS!!!

can you please settle this bet i have got with a couple of my friends? they say more people, on monday watch wwf then monday night football. I say football continuously gets 12, 13 or more in the ratings and that is on the network scale, while wwf usually gets around 5 to 5.5 on the cable scale. I tried to explain to them that the scales are different and more people have access to network tv and that each point equals like 980,000 people or something like that while the wwf's points are worth a little less. So it seems a to me that more people watch monday night football then the wwf. Don't get me wrong i watch wrestling instead of football, but i think football has more people watching it. If i'm wrong, i look like a jack-ass so please let me be right.

You win my friend. Wrestling is cable's highest draw but millions more watch Monday Night Football each week. The reasons you cited above are correct.

Hey Rajah . Love the site and ive seen signs at wwf events many times. Congrats on your success of this site. I visit everyday.
Anyways heres my questions
1) Do you think Kurt Angle was a wise addition to the wwf or do you think he sets the wwf back about 4 years.
2)If Shawn Michaels did return which is unlikely do you think he would comeback still with HHH after what he did a few months ago on Smackdown to the Rock to help HHH get the win. Or Do you think the WWF will just bank on the fans forgetting about what happened & not remember him Super Kicking the Rock
THANKS

1) I beg to differ. Angle is not only one of the most gifted wrestlers on the roster, but I think he has the mic sklls and charisma to go a long way. It's no fluke that he's undefeated and has already caught the eye of Stephanie McMahon. When a McMahon is mentioning you every week you know your career is about to take off.
2) The status of Shawn is still up in the air. Nobody knows if he will return let alone how he will return. My bet would have him aligning himself with Helmsley, but eventually feuding with him.

Please answer my question. Who is Vince Russo?

Vince Russo was a writer for the WWF magazine who was later promoted to booker. From 1998 up until a couple of months ago, he wrote pretty much everything you saw on RAW each week. Then, this fall, he and a few other WWF writers jumped ship to WCW. He is who WCW is referring to as one of "The Powers That Be", and now he books Nitro and Thunder. He's the guy with the New York accent.

hey rajah and everyone great site, but one thing i dont understand i've sent this questions into the maolbag 2 times now and they're not showing up please put them in i'd really appreciate it.'
Hey raj, gramps, kayfabe great site
Heres some qusetions for you It would be great if u could answer them and i wrote in last time and didn't see them in the mailbag, pleas eanswer them , thanks!
1) where is marrianna i heard she was training to wrestle and be in the womens divison now i'm hearing she was just on a paid per apperance deal and that she is gone from the wwf and probably won't be back? do u know?
2)The wwf apparently has sighned some new ladies Kimona/ Angelica is this true once agin I'm hearing they are signed just want to know for sure ,and any debute date set?
3) was there ever a lightheavyweight champion before taka i went to this site with title histories and a bunch were listed before him! I think they even said ultimo dargon was once? weird huh?
4.) What happened to vic grimes/ tiger ali sighn i know u get questions about tiger ali sighn alot but i'm hearing he has not been released but was very close to( note he is still listed in the superstars section at wwf.com)
5) are they restating the lightheavyweight division?
6.) i remember when jacky first won the wwf womens title she defended it against some lady names starla something who looked like Miss maddness/ mona from wcw was that infact her? also tori once had a match on sunday night heat against some lady named Lexi Feife( or something) and theres a lady with a similair name competing in wcw is she infact that lady.
7.)what happened with that whole alundra blayze throwing the belt away i kinda know the story i just want a better explantion.
8.) i heard the wwf had some titles that are retired know including the north ameriacn title, the middle weight title, and womens tag tiles are any of these titles real or were real?
thanks for your time bye

1) Marriana is still in the WWF and will eventually be back on WWF TV. She has NOT been released.
2) The only woman the WWF has signed recently is Trish Stratus. It is expected she will make her way onto TV within a couple of months.
3) Contrary to popular belief, the Lightheavyweight Title was around long before the days of Taka Michinoku. It actually originated in 1981. Through the 80's it was defended mostly in Mexico and Japan, and the WWF rarely if ever acknowledged it. At one point, in 1996 the Ultimo Dragon did indeed hold the belt. Perro Aguayo who was the first Lightheavyweight Champion, would go on to hold the title seven times, a feat equaled only by Vilano III. In November 1997, the WWF forced then-champion Shinjiro Ohtani to forefiet the belt so they could have a tournament to crown a new champion. From there, began the Taka era.
4) Vic Grimes is currently on loan to ECW and Heyman and company are apparently very happy with his work ethic. His situation is similar to that of Al Snow's in early 1998. The WWF has no desire to use Tiger Ali Singh.
5) Nope, such a move would only hurt the Tag Division, which took about six years to rebuild. They wouldn't want to ruin such a thing.
6) You know what they say. If they look similar, and their names are similar, they must be similar... or the same. Most likely they're the same.
7) There's not much to say. In December 1995, then WWF Women's Champion, Blayze (aka Madusa) showed up unannounced on Monday Nitro, spoke out against the WWF, and literally dumped the Title in a garbage can.
8) All of them were real. When the WWF bought out several smaller promotions in the 70's and 80's, in many cases they acquired the titles as well. But, the WWF created their own titles and did away with the others. The Women's Tag Team Titles, however, were still being actively defended as recently as ten years ago.

1.who do you think is the best submission wrestler of all time?
2.is is just me or are you also sick of the new age outlaws?they were great in 98 but got old in 99.the wwf should break them up and have both of them go after the european or intercontial belt?
3.why are everybody up stone cold's ass? i hate stone cold.i was happy he didn't fight at survivor series.everybody says he's the greastest wrestler of all time.that is crap.he only does 3 moves.he is not better then bret hart or andre the giant or hulk hogan or undertaker.the list goes on and on
4.who would win this 6 pact challenge match bret hart vs mr perfect vs ted dibase vs ken shamrock vs undertaker vs ultimate warrior

1) That's a tough one. There have been many greats. It's impossible to say, so I'll tell you my favorite submission hold of all time. The Sharpshooter.
2) Yep. And this whole "greatest Tag Team of all time" business is a load of crap too. I think Billy Gunn should be a top contender for the Intercontinental Title.
3) I was never a big Austin fan, and I liked the Survivor Series outcome. But you have to realize that injuries have slowed him down a lot, hence his evident lack of wrestling moves.
4) Uh, Bret would pin DiBiase.

hey- i love your site. i visit it every day at least twice. here are some questions for ya though...
1) is Rodney from the mean street posse hbk's little brother? ive heard this from alot of people, and he kinda looks like him too...but i also know that hbk was born in san antonio and shane is from connecticut...i just wanna know, is this rumor true?
2) what is up with the big bossman? why is this jobber getting a push? fans are sure as hell not reacting to the bossmans recent string of luck, so what are the wwf bookers trying to do?
3) do you know of any wrestlers that are looking like "to-be" superstars? i mean the ones that hbk is debuting in ecw...who are gonna be the stars?
4) a prediction for 2000: BARRY HOROWITZ, world wrestling federation heavyweight champ! (haha)

1) False, false, false. I know you didn't hear that on rajah.com, so quit reading the dirt sheets and keep it here.
2) ... Jobber, huh? The Big Boss Man is NOT a jobber; he's actually a twelve year veteran who knows his way around a wrestling ring. If anyone deserves a push, it's him. And the fans have reacted. Only DX was getting more heat than him last month when he was challenging the Big Show.
3) It's impossible to tell until they differentiate themselves from the others and actually make a little bit of a name for themselves.
4) A prediction for 2000: Jeff Jarrett for WCW Heavyweight Champion! (no laugh)

From:Jared
1)Despite Paul Heyman not wanting to give Vince McMahon any control over ECW, do you ever predict they would combine as one if WCW got better ratings and Hell Froze Over?
2)Do you ever think the WWF will ever lower their PPV prices? (I'm cheap)
3)It seems that lately if you want to be WWF champion you must abandon all technical moves and start brawling. Why? (Triple H, Stone Cold, The Big Show) and it seems like the Rock is doing less and less moves.
4)How would you book the next WWF PPV?
5)Ya know da Three One Six iz gonna get da 1-2-3 wit da Stunnah 24/7. I hate Stowne Cowd!
Great site!

1) Only if hell freezes over. Vince has no reason or desire to combine with ECW. Even if the ratings fell, a merge with ECW wouldn't do much because ECW doesn't have an overwhelmingly large fan base to begin with.
2) Not as long as they're on top and don't have any problem getting plenty of buy rates. Hey, screw prices, how about only having five or six PPV's a year instead of twelve?
3) It's a shame. I guess their thinking is that's what we want. Ever notice that every WWF Title match goes into the crowd at some point? Why, Vince, why? Really, it's so contrived. Get clotheslined into the audience and brawl for a minute or two for a cheap pop. How's about actually wrestling? What ever happened to countouts?
4) Oh, you don't want to know, Jared. Why if I were a booker... You know, let's not even go there. I could go off on a two hundred page tangent about what I'd do. But I can't have anyone taking my ideas, now, can I?
5) I hate Cool Whip!

Hey Guys...
1. OK...Now that the year in PPVs is complete...what was the best in your opinion? I liked Armageddon tremondously and also St. Valentine's Day.
2. I was thinking it over...this Stephine/HHH marriage...a split leaves the possibility of a HHH face turn. Turn Steph into a mega heel and then she could nag HHH and boss him around like a regular wife and he could turn face with a simple pedigree...ya know what i'm saying? I mean think of the crowd reaction prior to DX reforming and after with HHH...drastic change.
3. Help me out here...Is HHH not the greatest athlete (physically and talent wise) in ALL of wrestling?
4. I sure would like to see a HHH/Rock fued again. I loved that...the ladder match at Summer Slam 98 was the best of alltime. But Wrestlemania is too predictable for that don't you think?
Well just wanted to make an apperance in the mailbag...later.

1) I don't know, I find PPV's hard to rank. Especially with the asanine influx of them in recent years. I'll go with either the Rumble or Wrestlemania.
2) Good thoughts, but I don't see Helmsley turning anytime soon. He has become the company's top heel, and with the absence of the Undertaker, he's really their only main event heel.
3) He's definitely one of them.
4) Wrestlemania main events are supposed to be predictable. I'm looking forward to a Rock/Helmsley Title Match.

From:Andrew
I was just wondering if you knew why Zeus left the WWF? - did he really kill a guy in the ring? I heard he is universally banned from all wrestling organisations,is this true? I don't remember him but my cousin saw him in a gym in London a few months back and he was working on a film.

Zeus was only needed by the WWF for a breif period of time. He wasn't supposed to be around long term; he was only brought into feud with Hogan.

From:WWFFAN
Hi Rajah. I visit your site everyday. You do a great job. Here are some questions I got.
1. Will the Big Boss Man ever get a World Title Run? I think he deserves the World Strap after all the hard work he has done in his career.
2. I think it would be cool for Austin to have a female valet. Any chance of that ever happening?
3. Every year the WWF used to have a 2 hour program the night before Wrestle Mania, called The March to Wrestle Mania? What happened to that. I think that would be a great event to hype up Wrestle Mania.
4. Is Stephanie Vinces real life daughter? I know Shane is his real son, but I wasn't sure if Stephanie was his real daughter.
5. Any chance of Vader coming back to the WWF? I think the WWF misused his talents, by having him as a face. Vader makes such a better heal, and would have been better in the WWF if he was.
6. I think the Main Event for Wrestle Mania 2000 should be a first ever, Triple Threat Ladder Match for the World Title, Featuring, The Rock, Triple HHH, and Austin, if he is able to compete. What do you think?
7. I was watching Wrestle Mania 10, and was That guy in the Audience impersonating President Clinton or was it really him? I'm sure it was an impersonator, but he does a great job if he is.
8. Who do you think will be the First African American World Champion in the WWF?
9. Whatever happened to Bob Backlund?
10. I heard a rumor of a future match between Vince and Shane with 100% ownership of the company on the line. Any chance of that ever happening?
Well I know I had a lot of questions, but I try to ask good questions that I have to think about, rather than asking questions that are stupid like most people.

1) I do too, but unfortuneately we seem to be in a minority. Also, I think the boat has just set sail, if you know what I mean. He missed his shot. If he was going to win it, it would have been around this time of the year.
2) What's the use of a valet if we don't know if he'll ever step in the ring again.
3) Yeah, those were the days. Too bad now there is overexposure with RAW and Smackdown each week. Back then it was a different game. The show would highlight good matches with two actual big name wrestlers going at it. This was a change of pace from the jobbers we saw on Superstars and RAW, but now matches such as these are common. I believe the Road to Wrestlemania in 1994 was when Owen Hart gave his famous interview on his upcoming match with Bret. Just because Bret's older than him, and bigger than him, didn't mean he was better than him. And he was right. Good stuff.
4) Yes, Stephanie is really a McMahon. You don't think Vince would let 20,000 people call just any old actress a slut, do you? Nah, only a McMahon is worthy of such a chant. Besides, the resemblence between her and Linda is downright frightening.
5) None.
6) Eh. There's never been a Ladder Match for the WWF Title on Pay Per View. I don't know. I suppose it's a possibility, but the Ladder Match has become overused. No doubt the main event will be Rocky and Hunter, but I don't know about the ladder part. Austin will not be able to compete by then.
7) Just a hired goon. Lots of people make money off impersonating the president. Just turn on the radio.
8) The Rock is half African American, but I guess you knew that. Hmm... Let's run through the African American talent the WWF has: Godfather, Faarooq, Viscera, D'Lo, Mark Henry. Tough to say. D'Lo has the most potential out of those guys, but it remains to be seen whether he will ever be able to get to that next level. Unless someone else comes along, I'd have to say he's the favorite.
9) He retired from wrestling. Last I heard he was at the Survivor Series pushing a campaign, but it escapes me as to what he was running for. If anyone knows, send it in.
10) Interesting. Wouldn't surprise me to see Vince go out like that.

Here are some questions for you guys to ponder, and please post them in the mailbag.
1. What's Gerry Brisco's brother's name?
2. Is/Was Marianna ever Mosh's real life girlfriend?
2b. When is she coming back to TV?
3. How come Mideon sucks so hard? (I'm thinking its the snazzy new ring attire)
4. Do you think the WWF will get Raven when his contract expires next summer? It does expire Summer 200 right?
Thanks guys.

1) Jack.
2a) No.
2b) Within a couple of months, she WILL be back.
3) Hey, he is a former co-holder of the WWF Tag Team Titles. Why am I the only one that wouldn't have minded Mideon & Viscera holding the Tag Titles for a month or so last year? Anyway, here's a better Mideon question: How come when he is introduced, the bar at the bottom of the screen says "Mideon", but on his pants it says "Midian"?
4) It'll be between the WWF and ECW, that's for sure. No way he's going back to WCW.

From:Break It Down
Rajah, your wwf website is the shit!! Keep on doing what you're doing!!
Two questions I've always wanted to know are:
1. When Shawn Michaels passed out on Raz from being kicked in the head by the late Owen Hart was that planned or for real?
2. When Vince Mcmahon and Bret Hart got into a scuffle when Raw was in Canada, and Vince pulled Bret's T-shirt over his head, was that planned or for real?
Thanks a lot!!

1) Dude, you can't say 'shit' on the internet. Wait... maybe you can. When Owen enziguried Michaels, it was a well done work, that made you wonder if it was real or not. In actuality it was all planned.
2) Most everything you see on the TV is planned. I'm sure all "T-Shirt over the Head" moves are planned well in advance.

Hey guys, Love the site! Go there every day. Ok enough with the ass kissing and on with the question thats been bothering me forever. If HeAT is taped before Smackdown on Tuesday, then how do the commentators on HeAT talk like they know what happens on Smackdow? At first I thought there was live commentators or something, but there isn't! PLEASE answer this in the mail bag, it's keeping me up at night.
love the site,

First off, if they did the commentary live they would know anyway because they would be given a brief outline of what to talk about stemming from Smackdown. But, they don't do it live. They record it later in the week in a studio. It can and has been done with other events before. One time, either JR or the King couldn't make it to a taped RAW, so they just had them record the commentary later in the week. And no one was the wiser.

From:JerichoRock
Hey Raj, Kayfabe and Sawan. Great Site, blaah blaah blaah, anyway onto my questions...
I would like each of you to answer this question if possible, I would like to know who you think the 5 most over-rated and 5 most under-rated wrestlers in the WWF are, here are mine:

Most overrated
1. SCSA - I know many people love him but still, this guys got no ring skills and even less mic skills. A boot to the gut here...Flip a couple birds there and a stunner! Whoopie!
2 & 3. The NOA - I can't believe these guys are multi-time champs, they may be good but they aren't great. I get really sick when I see the same thing over...over...over...and over. Gunn works on the guy, gets beat up, tags in RD and RD does his juk'n and jive'n which is the sorriest excuse for a move I have ever seen, anyway...
4. The GodFather - There is only one thing that I like about this guy and that is his "Posse" of Women! He may get 2, 3 good moves in each match if he's lucky but he has not won my respect!
5. Big Bossman - Yes, I do think he is good, I do respect him for being such a veteren but he doesn't deserve a title shot at all. There are at least 10 wrestlers who deserved a shot before him. Rock, HHH, Test, Kane just to name a few!

Now, Most underrated
1. Christian - Now everyone always talks about Edge being under-rated but if you look at his partener Christian during a mathc, you will see that he is just as good, if not better than edge. Plus, I must say that I think Christian has the best finisher in the whole WWF! I cringe whenever I see it done.
2. D-Lo Brown - This guys has got it all! The size, the strength, the high-flying abiliies. He is one of the, if not the best overall wrestler in the WWF today.
3.Kurt Angle - Man, this guy is good. He doesn't have an undefeated streak for nothing. People always say that Taz is the human suplex machine, he may be but Angle is right up there with Taz as the best Suplexer in the buisness!
4.Kane - I can't believe that he hasn't got a title shot lately. He is just stupendous. Kane is my favourite wrestler and is one of the best wrestlers in the WWF, he just never gets a chance to prove himself. The only thing keeping him down is his mic skills and even that isn't under his control.
5. Matt Hardy - Matt Hardy is very capable of competing with the european contenders such as D-Lo, Val and Bulldog. He can hold his ground wiht the big players in the tag division such as NAO, AcoLytes, Dudleys etc. He is better than his brother Jeff Hardy because he has more strength to back up his high flyer techniques.
Thanks, JerichoRock

Currently, I would say some overrated wrestlers are: Austin, Chyna, The Godfather, Road Dogg, and Shawn Michaels. Yes, Shawn Michaels. He was a true great, and was unfortunately slowed by injuries. But because he is the best that stuck around (no more WWF Bret, Hogan, etc.) there is a popular misconception among newer fans especially that he was the best of all time. This simply isn't true. Shawn Michaels was a great wrestler, but I've seen some cases that lead me to believe there are a ton of people that overrate him. As for overrated tag teams: The Outlaws as a team are waaaayyyy overrated. Greatest team of all time my ass.

Underrated wrestlers: Christian. You hit the nail on the head. I'm glad somebody else feels the same way I do! This guy is every bit as talented as Edge in every aspect, yet all I hear aobut is how Edge is the next great star. Billy Gunn. He should be a top Intercontinental Title contender, but this Outlaws business is holding him back. British Bulldog. It's a shame newer fans give him no respect. Al Snow. The guy can wrestle. Too Cool. These guys are so talented, and although I like it, it's a shame they have to rely on a dancing gimmick and a 400 pound Headshrinker to get over. But, hey, whatever works. And finally, the Hollys, both as a tag team and as singles wrestlers. They made great tag champs, and there's no doubt in my mind that Bob Holly would make a pretty damn good IC Champion. I'd put Angle on the list, but I don't think he's underrated; I think people are starting to recognize his greatness.

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My neighborhood sux. I can't wait till I move out of this ghetto. It has been years since the show has ended and yet still the mailman says hi to me. Can u believe that????? Oh yeah and I still wear the SAME FREAKEN CLOTHES!!!!!!! Luckily I'm soon leaving the ghetto. Man can u believe how many times I got robbed during the show???? They always had to edit those parts of the show. Oh yeah and please respond Kayfabe, Rajah, etc. P.S. MIAMI DOLPHINS RULE!!! YEAH!!!!! DAN MARINO RULES!! We are making it not only to the playoffs, but also to the SUPER BOWL. 1972 I think 17-0!!!!! Yeah baby!!!!!!

I included this for a couple of reasons. One, so you can see what kind of crap we have to sift through each day. No matter how good your e-mail may be, don't worry if it doesn't get in right away. We read everything but it's impossible to post every good question, cause quite frankly you guys rule and give us tons of great questions. I try to respond to a few e-mails as well, but I can't do every one. Secondly, I put this up to do some good ol' fashioned Miami bashing. The Dolphins are going nowhere! Marino is washed up and the coach refuses to get along with him. They have no running game, and if you think Dan's gonna get a ring in Miami, you should put down the crackpipe immediately. The JETS certainly had something to say about Miami's playoff chances, didn't they?.

From:Hardco3317
Rajah, great site. One question for you guys. Was there any time that Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara had pretty much total creative control in the WWF, with little McMahon or USA Network interference? Thanks!

Not that much. Vince McMahon would oversee everything, and USA has a little something called the FCC (or is that radio?) to abide by.

From:Imperial228
I don't have any questions, I just have a comment. I have been a long time fan of the wwf, and I just sit in awe sometimes at where there angles are going. Or, to better phrase that, their lack of angles. For the last three shows, we have been blessed enough to just watch HHH and Stephanie run the show, and sign a bunch of stupid matches that serve no purpose, and let's face it, Test and the Rock should not be jobbing to anyone. It just gets a little old seeing the same Outlaws beating the crap out of the same Test. Come on, they have got to have some better storylines than that. Its been the same thing for three shows in a row. What are they doing, just sitting back and waiting for WCW to catch up? I hope not, they'd better come up with something a little different soon.

I blame too many hours of TV to fill per week. I disagree with your comment about Test. He's a rookie, and should damn well job happily whenever Vince sees fit. Personally, I'm sick of seeing anyone, whether it be Vince, Shane, Michaels, Austin, Hunter, or Stephanie "running the shows" and booking each match. I mean it was OK for awhile, but enough is enough. We don't need an explanation as to why every damn match was booked. Just wrestle!

From:Jim
where has giant gonzalas gone since summerslam 93 where we saw him lose to undertaker in that rest in peace match and does he ever plan on signing with wcw, ecw, or wwf?

He got sick of being treated as a freak show by the wrestling world and quit. His heart was never really into wrestling.

Hi, like to say kick butt site even though you guys didn't get the number one site you'll still be the best, ok now onto the questions.
1. Who do you think the best tag team ever in the WWF? People always say the New Age Outlaws, but on my own opinion that probably doesn't matter, the only reason why NAO wins is chair shots to opponents or Fag-Pac err X-Pac interferres. I think it was either Kane/Undertaker or The Steiner brothers.
2. What does T&A mean?
3. Who do you think had the cheesiest finishing move ever? I would say The Ultimate Warrior did, I mean anybody could do a body splash, but to be able to win somebody especially Hulk Hogan with it? Please!
4. What do you think the best angle ever was? Personally I liked the Sting/Hogan angle, I mean they were the main reason WCW dominated the ratings in the 96-97 years.
5. What is with the WWF titan tron always getting that weird Goldberg tattoo like symbol on it and the whole arena turns orange? Is this going to be Taz's new entrance? Only you guys and the ones who write the shows could know.
6. Here i think are the best finishing manuvers. What's yours? 1. Pedigree 2. Tombstone Piledriver 3. Stone Cold Stunner 4. Rock Bottom 5. Shooting Star

1) No way is it the Outlaws. The best I've seen are the Steiners, the Harts, the Bulldogs, LOD, and Demolition. But there were many greats long before those guys as well.
2) Um, let's just say there's a reason they abbreviate it. I'll e-mail you the answer.
3) I don't know, the Gorilla Press kind of made up for it. I'd say the People's Elbow, and, of course, Hogan's leg drop are pretty cheesy.
4) It's impossible to answer that, but the early nWo angle was extremely successful, as was Austin/McMahon. There's no denying that. Personally, I was always a fan of the whole Bret/Owen angle. And what about the Mega Powers, or Hulk and Andre? The candidates are endless.
5) Yes, that's Tazz's new emblem.
6) In the WWF currently: X-Factor, Tombstone, Pedigree, Stunner, Fameasser, Christian's Move.

Rajah,
Great site. Ive got some questions and comments:
1) I think the Acolytes are waaaay overdue for a gimmick change. Do you see this happening anytime soon? Ive heard the Dudley Boyz are set for a big push, and the Acolytes would be a good team for them to fued with especially since Farooq and Bradshaw are starting to get some face pops.
2) When Chris Candido was Skip, I remember his character boasting of a long winning streak which ultimatley came to an end while wrestling some jobber, but I cant vividly remember who it is. Im thinking it was Barry Horowitz. Do you remember who it was?
3) It also seems like the WWF might be foreshadowing something with Stephanie and Kurt Angle. Where do you think this could be heading?
4) Ive been reading the rumors for so long that Edge will get a big singles push, but he seems to be passed up by a lot of others since he has been teaming up with Christian. Do you see the team breaking up anytime soon? I'll predict that Edge turns heel causing a break up.
5) Im a little tired of hearing JR refer to NAO as the best tag team in WWF history just because they won the belts 5 or 6 times (it also means theyve lost the belts as many times too). I personally think they are overrated as a tag team. Who would get your vote as best tag team in WWF history? The Hart Foundation would get my vote.
Please post in the mailbag. Thanks.

1) I think they've already shied away from their "Followers of the Undertaker" gimmick. Now they're just kicking everyone's ass and the fans love it.
2) Yes, it was Horowitz.
3) I wish I knew. I don't think it will result in anything too major, but it's definitely going somewhere. I'm just glad to see Angle doing so well.
4) I'd love to see that feud, especially if it results in a push for Christian (which it unfortunately most definitely would not). But first I'd like to see them win the Tag Titles together.
5) I agree with that assesment, although by part of the logic you use, it means the Mountie was a better Intercontinental Champion than Razor Ramon because he only lost the belt once. And that's just crazy talk.

Hi everyone at the mailbag. Concerning the j.o.b. squad t-shirts, check the ECW catalog, because they are who made the j.o.b. squad, and they normally have alot of shirts left even after the wrestlers are gone. now my questions.
1.Why does everyone think that Al Snow wont be a high mid carder, or a main eventer. After he disbanded the J.O.B. squad in ECW, and got Head(sorry about that) he was a main eventer and had one of the best matches i have ever seen with Shane Douglas.
2. Why is Kane still feuding with X-pac, X-pac should feud with Y2J, and Kane should go after the Big Show or someone closer to his size.
3 How big is BB, if you know what i mean.
4 Finally, when will Vince and Shane come back with the corporation to get revenge on DX. Thanks for reading these questions, and hopefully ill see them in the mailbag

1) I agree. Al Snow is one hell of a wrestler.
2) I agree again. This feud has dragged on way too long, and I don't care for this Tori angle at all.
3) I am not privied to that information.
4) Time will tell. He'll have to get back on TV first.

1)The World title, while still ok, has been falling to mid card level. I mean, since when did Viscera earn himself a WORLD TITLE shot. He never even got a EUROPEAN title shot! And Hardcore Holly got a shot too not that long ago! What would happen if wrestling was real and Viscera really DID win the world title? I shudder to think.
2)The IC Title, as I'm writing this, will be on the line tonight with Jericho finally winning the strap. If he doesn't, can you say shaving cream and a wet turkey for me?
3)I hope Big Boss Man wins the world title!
4)I, like Kayfabe, enjoyed the WWF much more in the early 90s. (1990-1994) than I do now! Also, 1996-1997 were almost TERRIBLE for me to watch...Just so BORING!
Well I'm done for real now! Later All! Till Next Time, this has been...Joe

1) That's part of the fun. When Bret Hart first won the Title, he vowed to take on all comers. So, do you know who he defended against those first couple of weeks? Virgil, the Mountie, the Berzerker, etc. None of which were Championship material. If Big Show only defended against the same three guys it would get incredibly boring.
2) Don't worry; he won.
3) Me too, but he didn't.
4) Yes sir, and sorry that part of your e-mail had to be cut due to space constraints.

I work at a Toys R Us in Tampa and it is frequented by the Undertaker several times who always is happy to give autographs, but the other day the Big Show, Paul Wight came in and was asked for an autograph and complained about it like it was the worst thing in the world. He also complained to the store director that he wouldn't shop there again... Several people witnessed this and were disgusted with his attitude. Our store gets visited by tons of Buc players, Yankees during spring traing and several wrestlers , but none have ever refused to sign an autograph!!!! thought you might like to hear this

Any info like this is appreciated. Send it on in.

I know, I know. That was a half assed response. I owe you guys more than that. I know, here's something from James Allen of our very own rajah.com newsboard:

"The British Bulldog was not at Raw yesterday (12/27) because he said that he was changing his tire on his car, and the jack did not support it and the car fell on him."

AHHHHHHA-HA-HA! I got a kick out of that one. Ol' Davey Boy trapped under his car, kicking and screaming in that accent of his while cars continue to pass by without so much as acknowledging him. Oh, that's classic.

Im from a little town called Leyland Nr Wigan Wigan is where the British Bulldog is from the only reason they say places like Leeds and Manchester is because there citys and Wigan is just a little town. Please put this in your mailbag as not a lot of people know this.

Thanks for clearing up the Bulldog mystery. Now if you could only get his car off him.

I'm really sorry if this is the 40th time you've ead this in the past 24 hours, but by now you would've deleted it anyway. The Rock's birthday is May 2, it is the day before my birthday, that is if anyone is keeping track. Just thought I'd clear it up, BTW dont post this unless I'm the only guy that sent this. And of course I won't be ... there's probably half a million weirdos out there writing wrestler's birthdays in blood on their ceilings ... but I digress. Fantastic site, I never go anywhere else, and I find I like Kayfabe's humor as well. Peace out.

Yeah, I know that's a dead issue, and we've cleared that up and this was NOT the only e-mail I got about the Rock's birthday, but I just had to post it. One: His name is Kwyjibo. Translation: Balding North-American ape. Two: He not only used the words "Kayfabe" and "humor" in the same sentence, but back to back, no less. Incredible. Thanks for the comment.

I have a few questions regarding the recent story lines that just stoped here they are:
(1)What happened to G-TV and whose behind it?
(2)what happened to The hummer driver story line in wcw? and whose behind it?
(3)What happened to ultmite warrior vs hogan story line, and where is Ultimite warrior?
(4)where is hogan?
(5)And .... when is the NWO coming back
Thanks, please add this to your mail bag

1) At first the WWF was thinking of scrapping G-TV, but they have decided to bring it back. There have been speculations on who is behind G-TV, but nobody knows. It was originally supposed to have Goldust (Dustin Runnels) behind it, but since he wanted out, that was scrapped.
2) The hummer driver was scrapped completely. There were rumors that Hogan was driving the hummer, but with his heat with Savage and his rise in popularity again, that was scrapped.
3) Once Hogan defeated Warrior, that angle came to an end. The only motif that it would seem the Warrior had was that he was the only one to ever be undefeated against him and once he lost he was done.
4) Hogan is taking so time off of wrestling. He left WCW because he felt that Russo and Ferrera had no intensions of pushing him as a main-eventer. Hogan was also thinking of trying to start his own promotion along with Rupert Murdoch of FOX. Those deals never went through. There is still no word on whether or not Hogan will return to WCW or retire completely.
5) If Hogan does return once again, then we will most likely see another reformation of the nWo. Without Hogan it could be difficult to pull of another nWo, but who knows what will happen. In my opinion, the nWo will reform sometime in 2000.

Hi Rajah,I always visit your site and I got some question to ask you.
1)What is BOB BACKLUND doing now?
2)There was a guy who always spit fire when he come out,I think he has red hair,do you know who he is and what he is doing?
3)Why does the WWF make undertaker cheat to everytime to win the wwf title? Can't they let him win the title cleanly?
4)What was Andre The Giant finisher?
Thanks and have a nice day!

1)Bob Backlund is still somewhat with the WWF and does promotional work for them as well as hype up his intended run for the United States presidency.
2)No, I don't recall his name. The only guy I can think of was Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat who used to spit out fire. He didn't have red hair though. But I can swear I thought there was someone else who used to spit fire who came along after Steamboat. His name escapes me though! Grrr.
3)Well, obviously they can, but they do what is best for storyline purposes. They have to take into consideration the status of his opponent and factor in how to make that person lose.
4)Andre really had no official finisher, but it was a suplex-splash type maneuver in which he would set them up as Triple H does for the pedigree, but instead Andre would sort of flip them over his shoulder and then end up landing on the guy. It wasn't great, but it got the job done I guess.

Hello o' Lords of the MailBag.........Kudos to the site....but enough ass kissing..........
i was wondering what went down with the Undertaker/Ultimate Warrior fued many years ago?........it was never really televised or on a pay per view....and it left some people in the dark. Was it due to the Warrior not wanting to Job or what?

Well, it all started as almost a three-way feud involving Warrior, Jake the Snake Roberts and Undertaker. Warrior was a face, as was Jake, whereas Taker was still a heel. I'm not sure how it got started but Warrior and Undertaker starting mixing it up, when Jake popped up and offered to teach Warrior the "mind games" and what not he would need to overcome the Undertaker. It all basically resulted in Roberts turning heel, by setting Warrior up. Warrior and Undertaker fought numerous times but almost all of them were for house shows. The decisions were roughly a 50-50 split and most of the matches were dubbed as "Body Bag Matches". Soon thereafter, Warrior left the WWF (not because of jobbing disagreements, but more because he was getting phased down while Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were being pushed) and Undertaker turned face to feud with Jake.

pleaase put this in the mailbag. i have heard that in 96 or 97 wwf and ecw had an on air fued where ecw wrestlers were on war. please give me what some of the matches were, who wonn and how did the fued end. also when do malinko's, and benoits contacts expire and do you think they will go to the wwf thanks

The WWF/ECW "feud" as you may want to call, was just a way to get ECW some publicity and for WWF to showcase some of the ECW talent. The feud started with Jerry Lawler bringing Rob Van Damn into the WWF as Mr. Monday Night. Lawler kept on stating that Van Damn was the only decent wrestler in ECW. Heyman and the rest of ECW came onto RAW and started to get into a verbal confrontation. This led on for a couple of weeks or so. Rob Van Damn won everyone of his matches and the only other match that I remember between an ECW wrestler and a WWF wrestler was Sabu -vs- Flash Funk which ended in a no-contest or double countout.
