| rajah.com Mailbag, Edition #2 |
Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section myself for the time being. Right now, with me being out of school, I believe I can consistently update this section at least once a week. If I do need help with it, I'll be sure to select one or two individuals to assist me.
Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:
1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II.
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to Rajah_WWF@Hotmail.Com
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
IMPORTANT!!!
If you have anything to add to any of these questions/comments or even my remarks, please email me. I'm not claiming that all my info is correct, as I'm sure
that some of it is inaccurate as well. PLEASE READ THE DIRECTIONS ABOVE AND NOTE THE CHANGE IN THE EMAIL ADDRESS!!!
From Joe:
Yo Raj, I wrote ya couple weeks ago, during your busy week and had a few questions about Ahmed Johnson and Undertaker. Just wanted to follow up with some questions and if ya could find some time to respond, would be great.
1) Is there any chance we will see Undertaker as a Face again? This guy was on top of the wrestling word for a rather long time, now it seems they are ruining this sort of aura around the Undertaker. In your opinion, will he ever turn Face again? And out of curiosity, how long is Undertaker under contract?
2)As you told me Ahmed was fired, ANY chance of him getting another shot as i think he could be a top of the line wrestler. He's not good on the mic, but he's got a great finishing move, he's huge, and just plain sweet. And why in the hell hasnt WCW picked him up? I hate WCW but this guy is a stud
3)My take on the DX thing is it wont collapse, it will be there, maybe only being X-pac(who very annoyingly Cornette refers to as X-Pack)and RD but it will always be there. Then HHH wins title at SummerSlam, next night on RAW Jericho(assuming he signs) is introduced as a DXer, HHH rejoins DX after using Corporation, and it will be as strong as ever, resume its place as strongest stable and this time be a little more main eventish in its wrestling. Thoughts?
4)Rd gay? Ridiculous, he never said anything about not wanting to see puppies, he is always the one asking, second he does the pumple handle slam thing as comedy, to insult other wrestler, and this could only be done by someone who is completely comfortable in his sexuality. Put this on the board if you will if by chance RD ever reads it and doesnt have to waste his time will such aimless rumors.
5)Big Show's music is perfect. I hated it at first, but its sweet now. Test is a bitch, Brood are Horrible one the mic, Bad Ass going heel is a huge mistake. Godfather is sweet but it isnt a long term pop. When will Undertaker go back to the best entrance music in WWF history? Mark Henry is sweet and D-lo should get a push as his finishing move is killer. And the person with most financial security in WWF? Debra, if she ever loses appeal in WWF, she could sell the ample space on her forehead for billboard space.
1. Right now, I do not see an Undertaker face turn in the immediate future. As I have mentioned a couple of times before, the WWF is stacked with face main eventers and by having Taker stay heel, it opens up potential PPV-headlining main events in the future. However, I won't rule out a face turn later on in his career, but that's tough to pinpoint as it all depends on the way storylines progress. Undertaker, to my knowledge, is under contract for another 3 years minimum.
2. Amhed Johnson probably will not ever return to the WWF because he is always injured and because he's not what the WWF considers a "team player". Furthermore, the WWF likely is not willing to shell out any sort of money Amhed is after, especially since they are doing the best they have ever done. I've heard that Amhed and WCW are once again in negotiations and that Amhed will probably surface there sometime this summer. It would be highly ironic as Amhed always used to say that WCW was "Wheel Chair Wrestling".
3. I agree with the D-X thing. The WWF will probably NEVER "officially" break the group and drop the references to the stable.
4. Road Dogg is not gay. I have just learned that he is married with two sons.
5. Yeah, I've also noticed that Debra has an unsually large forehead...weird. And D'Lo and Mark Henry are already in the initial stages of a relatively significant push.
From NaM:
Remember when DX blew up the CNN building? I wanted to know if that was real
or fake. Is Chris Jericho coming to the WWF for sure, or does no one still
not know?
It was fake. They wouldn't be able to return to RAW the next week if they actually blew up a building you know. Again, Jericho's situation is not decided yet. But he has given a lot of hints that he will not re-sign with WCW. That does not necessarily mean he is WWF-bound, as a lot of people are forgetting that Jericho has often been quoted as saying that he had his best days in ECW. If you want my opinion on the matter, I say he's jumping over to Titan come August.
From Jake:
Raj aka the man!, I have heard TONS of rumors saying that Ryan Shamrock is a stripper from
Texas? Please fill me in on anything you know about this! PLEASE put this on the
mailbag!!!
Yes, I do know that Ryan is a Texan stripper, whose name is Alesha or Aleshia or something that starts with an "A".
From ~ea~:
I am still thinking that the brood will align themselves with kane and
feud with the undertaker soon. Maybe if the rumors are right will see
paul bearer realign himself with kane and bring in the brood to destroy
the undertaker and his ministry but before kane and the brood get rid of
all the ministry members , the last one standing undertaker will
probably see an old friend in brother love who will bring kane and
undertaker together again.Is it possible?
Just to let you know i have an old tape of WCW's nitro and in it Eric Bishoff comes out and says to all that Mr. Michael Hickenbottom came to his office in atlanta asking for a job and he kicked him out of his office. Isnt michael H. "s the heartbreak kids real name. and if this is true why would hbk try to sign a deal with wcw just to work on the mic. If you ask me mr. hart probably had something to do with wcw not hiring hbk.If you would like to know the nitro took place 2 months after wrestlemania 14.
It is a very plausible scenario. I'm pretty sure Kane and the Undertaker have not settled all their differences from the past. The WWF revealed that Taker was the one who actually set the fire in their home and nothing more was said of it or expanded on it. The WWF magazine also hinted that Kane could be the "savior" of the promotion and the one to take his brother down.
Well, I can't say much about it since I am not an official with either the WWF or WCW, but I'm almost certain Shawn did not approach Bischoff asking for a job. Most likely, it was a ploy to get ratings or make the WWF and their superstar look bad. Shawn has said himself that he will not go to WCW and given the great position he is in within the WWF, I would say that is an accurate statement. In that time after WM 14, Michaels was getting back surgery and taking a leave of absence. He was and still is under WWF contract and even talking to WCW would be a basis for contract tampering on Turner's part.
From Junior:
Hey rajah, i think that the deal with that scarf is; I don't know if you
remember when there use to be a women's wrestling federation I'm not
sure if it was called G.L.O.B.E or G.L.O.W. something like that and
Ivory used to be called Tina Ferrari and she wore all purple and she had
that scarf with her maybe I'm wrong but i hop e you get the point.
You learn something new every day...
Just wanted to say that the biblical story was of Cain and Abel and not Kane and Abel, so tell Jim Klouse that his idea on the whole Cain(Kane) and Abel has no validity.
Don't look at me. This is personal and it's between Jim Klouse and this guy.
Did The Rock really break his arm? Or is this a way to give someone else a push in the main-eventers category?
It is a work. But it is NOT to give others a push in the main-event category as you put it. Chances are, this will tie into the Rock "People's Elbow" gimmick. Maybe he will be able to wear a cast and use the Elbow or maybe the maneuver will be banned. As I'm typing this up, it's Monday afternoon, so maybe tonight we will be a in a better spot to analyze this.
From Graham "The Boss" Ross:
Hey Rajah, first off, just like to say that your page is one of the best on the
net. I probably check it two or three times a week, and am always
pleased with the job you and your staff do. Keep it up! Now, the
questions and comments...
First off, do you know what ever happened to the wreslter namer
Hakushi? I saw him on a survivor series tape (The one with the
Deisel/Brett Hart match). He was really a great wrestler and I am
curious why the WWF let him go. Also, the ladies match on that tape is
GREAT! I guess some of the wrestlers were imported from Japan. Some of
them are really incredible. This proves a point: The WWF needs to
learn that good lady wrestlers do not have to be beautiful. Looks is
not necessarily the highest priority, right? (Let us leave Nicole Bass
out of this equasion. Ever notice she looks like the guy from Twisted
Sister?)
Second, any ideas on when Mankind might retire? I know he has
aluded to is a couple times and personally I think his injuries are
starting to look worse and worse. (Notice how he was clutching his knee
last Raw?) I really don't want him to go, but someday I know he will.
Third, think the WWF will ever make a PPV that dosen't involve Steve
Austin as the Main Event? Not that I don't like Austin's wrestling
skills, but if they are gonna do one a month, they might want to mix it
up a bit. Last PPV was supposed to be a big Mankind thing, then they
dropped it for a Steve Austin thing again! Man...
One more thing...I predict that within the next few months, Mankind
will switch back to Cactus Jack. It seems that he has been doing many
more hardcore things, so...the only reason I could see him not switching
back is 'cause Mankind is kinda popular now, with his whole sock
gimmick...whadda' you think?
Thanks for the comments about the page. I appreciate it. Anyways, Hakushi was not fired as far as I know but rather chose
not to return after his contract came to an end. He wrestles in one of the Japanese promotions and there were rumors of him
returning to the WWF early last year, but they never materialized.
As for the ladies, you have to remember that the WWF isn't necessarily
TRYING to run a good women's division. They want good ratings and Sable will get more people watching than a talented woman who ain't all
that pretty. If the WWF wanted a proper women's division, Sable would NOT be wrestling.
I think Mic has at least another year left. But you're right, the hints at retirement have been relatively abundant. If he switches to Cactus Jack, that may spell the end
as I believe he will probably leave with that alter-ego. Just my opinion.
From Danny:
Well...I saw all those great questions and comments in your mail bag this
week..and thought I'd add one of my own...it got my mind stirring up some old
facts. Ok I love the Ministry of Darkness...and now the Corporate
Ministry..being an avid horror movie fanatic..and having a bit of a morbid
imagination..I love it..both stables have that dark feel to them, the
sacrifices and all that..great bits..but wouldn't it be great just oh so
great...to kinda have a way to get back at the UnderTaker...and bring back
that ever so great..one of the best ever angles of all time...THE DUAL
UNDERTAKER..Ted Dibiase's UnderTaker (A.K.A. Primetime Brain Lee)..but I mean
that was perfect..when I saw those two meet in the ring finally..I believe it
was at SummerSlam..them standing face to face..of course could tell
difference with the different colored gloves and all..but it was perfect..I
think it should definately be done again..don't you?
It would definitely be interesting to say the least, but I'm uncertain as to what purpose it would ulimately achieve. Would they bring him back for one night or make the Under"faker" a permanent fixture on the roster? And in the end, I'm not so sure how well it would work, since we all know that the "evil" Undertaker is the real one and a move like the double Taker deal, is usually intended when good overcomes bad.
From Nestor Sanchez:
McMahom is considered a 200 million dollar man. Is he really that
rich? How rich is Vincent K. McMahon?
I honestly don't know how rich Vince is, but $200 million dollars is probably pretty close. The WWF makes enormous profits each year. I do know that they earned something like $30 million in PPV buyrates ALONE last year.
From Dion "I hate people changing wrestling names and personalizing it for themselves" Sanders:
i have just read you first installment of the mailbag. PLEASE!!!and i
repeat please, don't give any exposure to these idiots asking you
question that you have answered a billion times in your columns, i found
it agonizing to sit through the thing ex. "why do they call owen nugget", "is sable really married to mero"
if these people have even read your column they would know these
answer something that hasn't been brought up, like, what is in the
godfathers contract (belts, how long)?
The Godfather has no stipulations in his belt guaranteeing him any titles. I do not know the status of his contract, but I'm sure he is with the WWF through the year 2000 and beyond. The WWF has locked up a lot of their talent to mega long term deals.
This an answer for "is Road Dogg Jesse James gay?" He is not gay,if you've seen the D-X home video you'll clearly observe that he is not gay. At one point in the video it shows a lady flashing D-X and Road Dogg says "I'm going to wait here until this leaves," and he points down to his crotch!!!(He had boner) I'm not gay or anything but I know that if a person is gay they don't get "boners" from looking at a womens tits!! Please put this on the page.
Ummm...okay. Road Dogg is not gay. This poor guy even observed some subtle "evidence". WAAAAAAAAAAA!
From ~~Duff~~:
Hey Rajah, a few months ago during the big "Brawl for All" competion I
remember seeing a guy named Brakus, or something like that. (He may have
also wrestled once on RAW or HeAT, I don't remember) Anyway, what happened
to him? Was he fired, just brought in to do a few matches, wrestling in
Japan or and Independent fed, or wrestling under some other gimmick and I
just don't recognize him? If I remember correctly he had some "tough guy,"
chain-wearing, German gimmick. Thanks.
Yeah, Brakkus is the man you are talking about. He was German and the WWF had hoped that he would make it big on their roster, owing to the physique he possessed. As far as I know, after his Brawl For All loss, Brakkus was released. I have not heard anything about him since.
In response to Jim Klouse's question about whether Kane is named after the
Bible's Kane (of Kane and Abel Fame). Two things are incorrect in his
question...
1. Kane's name is spelled "Cain" in the Bible.
2. Abel is the one that kills Kane (so the Undertaker may kill Kane? Maybe,
I guess.)
Okay, now this matter is settled. The one in the bible is "Cain" and the one in the WWF is "Kane". It still does not mean that the WWF wasn't thinking of the Cain/Abel stuff when creating Kane's character.
From Mike T.:
First, I would like to say that you have a great webpage. I like all of the
features that are on it. The news section is very well done. Anyway, my
question is 1) Who do you think is the next person that will have the IC
belt and do you expect him to keep it for a while? 2) I was wondering who
your favorite wrestler is and why. Please put this in the mailbag section.
1. Umm...next IC champion? Probably Jeff Jarrett or maybe Blue Blazer/Owen Hart.
2. Two favorites for me. The Undertaker because of his longetivity and the success he has enjoyed with ONE gimmick his entire career. And two, good
ol' D'Lo, because he has incredible talent and isn't too shabby on the mic either.
From jaysol aka "The Solman":
Remember a long while back when Vince was trying to turn Stone Cold corporate? Vince said he would give everybody their money back if he would reveal a new SCSA. Well, he revealed a corporate SCSA for a while, until Austin revealed the real him,did that technically mean that he needed to give people their money back? or whatever.
Either the brief "new Stone Cold" counted as the Corporate turn or the WWF just casually forgot about it. They did not give anyone their money back, though.
From WWF Fan:
Austin used to never lose a match under fair circumstances when he was champ
and he always got the better of others. The Rock has recently gotten the
better of Austin. Do you think the WWF is bringing Austin down from his
status high above the other WWF wrestlers or merely raising the Rock's? Who
will be the next WWF Champ?
No, I do not think that the WWF is bringing Austin down. The Rock is obviously getting push, but he's always been cheered and his popularity has rivalled that of Austin's. However, the WWF knows that Austin is their man and will keep him as their #1 man for the forseeable future. The next champ, in my opinion will either be the Undertaker or Triple H.
From Mario:
The Undertaker angle has taken such a twist that now Vince McMahon
calls the Undertaker "Mark" as we all know and lately it is something
that has been going on with lots of wrestlers (Ex: X-Pac=Sean,
Rock=Dwayne, etc...). Well these name callings play no effect on their
gimmicks though, but the Undertaker's name calling DOES in fact hurt
his gimmick and even though I love the WWF with all my being, this is
one where they REALLY slipped up. Remember Kane? The Undertaker's
brother? Paul Bearer's son? How can the WWF possibly explain Kane being
the Undertaker's brother if they keep calling him "Mark"? Also, haven't
you noticed how they keep avoiding Kane to have a confrontation with
any of the members of the Corporate Ministry? I'm wondering what the
WWF is thinking, specially since Kane is main event material. Will Kane
be called "Glenn" from now on or what? If the WWF wanted to involve the
Undertaker's real name and the "living the gimmick" controversy, they
should have remembered that somewhere out there is the Big Red Machine
who is supposed to be his brother. Do you have any idea of what is
going on Rajah? Thanks.
You've lost me a bit. Why can't the WWF call him "Mark" and keeping calling his "brother" Kane? I mean, who in their right mind thought that the Taker's parents named him "The Undertaker" when he was a baby! Haha. I guess what I'm saying is that nothing really suggests that the WWF cannot make "Mark" and "Kane" brothers. Now if they started referring to the latter as "Glen", that would be stupid. But I'm 99% sure it won't come to that. Am I making sense or am I totally out in left field with your question/comment?
From Mike:
Did the Big Boss Man really rip Droz's nose ring out, or was the it just a
fake ring with fake blood?
I believe it was legit but was a worked incident. Meaning, Bossman was really supposed to rip Droz's nose-ring out.
From Mike:
I just had a few questions and comments for ya. First a comment, on
your last mailbag you told a writer the first members of DX and you forgot
one. The "Anvil" Jim Nighthart made a very brief appearence as a member
before HBK and HHH turned on him. Next is Chris Jerico really a main eventer
in your eyes? Finnally is the "Rock" ever going to incorperate his past with
Farooq (I hope I spelled it right) in this corporate ministry deal, cause the
Rock is great and I think Farooq should get a slight push because I think
he's a great wrestler and has the experience of the top by being the leader
of the Nation.
Yep, I did forget him. My bad. Chris Jericho doesn't strike me as a main eventer. I do think he can mix it up with the big boys but a World Title may be pushing it. He is definitely I-C title material though. And finally, I don't expect the WWF to incorporate Maivia and Faarooq into an angle based on their Nation days. The announcers may bring it up in a potential match between the two, but it is a long shot for anything significant to develop from it.
From Mike (damn this is a popular name!):
Just wandered if Kane has to wear a mask when he leaves the arena. A
friend of mine said that he read Kane wore like a ski mask. Just thought
that, that was carrying it a little to far. Everyone knows that Kane is Isaac
Yankem and The New Diesel.
Well, I went to a house show last year in Edmonton and Kane and Paul Bearer drove away, with Kane sporting a white towel over his head and face. So I guess he does cover up, either with his mask or some article of clothing.
From Dark Man X:
Sup Raj, Yo I Luv the page, I got two questions for Ya. First When Steve
Austin when do that sort of drinking motion toward the sky, is directed
toward Brian Pillman. Second is it me or is Stephanie McMahon really really
fine, personally I like her more than any girl in the Fed.
Yes, I've heard that the motions are directed towards the late Brian Pillman, but you'll have to ask Austin if you want to be for certain. Stephanie is fairly attractive. I just think she needs to work a bit on her mic skills. It will be interesting to see if Vince suggests a boob job for her too. Just kidding.
From Derrin K.:
Hey Rajah, I love the site, I have been coming since it opened around 95, or
was it 96? Well, anyway, my question is...... TODD PETTINGIL. Damn he looks
like Michael Cole. Is he him, I read that he was fired but I am not sure.
Todd had the earing though, I don't know if Cole has it. If it is the same
person, what was they point of changing an interviewer/announcer who was/
isn't even involved in an angle.
Michael Cole is NOT Todd Pettengill. I have heard conflicting reports concerning why Pettengill left the WWF. One says he quit the WWF to pursue other ventures while the second scenario says that the WWF fired him since he was not in any of their future plans. However, I do know that Pettengill always was interested in becoming a stand-up comedian and in fact, that is what he is doing right now. It may be that he left his position with the WWF to follow his "dreams", but it's hard to believe anyone in their right mind would leave the WWF for a spot as a comedian.
hey rajah i think that your a WWF spy or some thing i mean you know all this info and rumors , i believe that you have conections 2 vinie mac himself and he is tellin you what to put down your a sell out and oh yah RAJAH means ruler or leader so you might be Vinie mac thats all peace out Rich DOGG , oh yah put this in da mail bag so every one else can know about you
Damn, I don't know what to say. I'm flattered obviously, but unfortunately (for me at least), I am not affiliated with the WWF in any way. This isn't the first time someone has suggested that I am secretly working for the WWF but again, I do NOT. Hey Vince, if you're reading this, why not hire me? PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAASSSSE.
From Greg Yates:
The immortal Rajah,
Why is it, around 5-10 years ago, nobody could give 2 shits about
wrestling (except for the true fans) But now it's all over TV. Hard Copy
and Extra do wrestling segments every week. Jenny Jones, Springer, and
other primetime TV shows want to have wrestlers on just to boost
ratings. (not that Springer needs to boost his ratings) The thought of
having a biography of wrestlers on A&E was unheard of....until now that
is. It used to be very cool to see someone wearing a wrestling t-shirt
back in the day, but now everyone has one on. Goldberg shirts, Austin
3:16 shirts, DX, NWO. But what I want to know is how long will this
wrestling "FAD" last? And when it does finally go away, how long will it
be until it gets popular again?
Don't get me wrong, I've been a wrestling fan all my life. But now all
of a sudden people are just catching on? Up until now, everyone used to
call wrestling fans "losers, white trash, hillbillies, rednecks"
etc...etc But now that wrestling is the biggest thing around, everyone
wants in on the action. They're all fake fans!! Once wrestling dies down
again, they'll stop watching. Except for us. We've been down with
"rasslin" since day one. We're the true fans.
thank you Raj...
Great letter. Everyone from all over the media is attempting to leech onto the incredible success that wrestling has generated these past few months. Whether it be to side with the morals of wrestling or to look down at the stuff the WWF presents, everyone wants to be mentioned in the same breath that pro wrestling is. There is no denying the incredible ratings both the WWF and until lately WCW bring in and it seems that every media outlet and their sister wants to cover the WWF in order to pull more viewership themselves. That's what it all comes down to.
1) What exactly happened with Todd Pettingil 2) Since Billy Gunn is out of DX I think that it is only fitting that he gets his reign as the IC Champ. He could most definatly add a boost and some longevity to this depleted division. There have been five champs in the last 3 months alone (Shamrock,Venis,Road Dogg,Goldust, and The Godfather) Shamrock was the last champ to hold it for over a month. Billy Gunn could have a very long and successful reign as the IC Champ. As you know he is one of the very talented inside the ring and could have match ups with the likes of some faces such as Val Venis, Test, The Brood, and The Godfather. Therefore the IC title would be alot more intresting instead of rematch after rematch like in the Hardcore division. Which brings me to my next point. With the New Age Outlaws gone Road Dogg could once again return to the Hardcore division where he had tremendous affect. With the addition of Road Dogg and another superstar such as a member of the Brood, Bossman, or maybe even Cactus Jack in addition to Hardcore Holly and Al Snow the Hardcore division could be very intresting. Thanks for taking the time to read my email and please let me know what you think. Keep up the good work!
1. As afforementioned, Pettengill was either fired or released, depending on who you talk to on what side of the story. He is now a stand-up comedian somewhere.
2. An I-C run for Billy Gunn is definitely a legitimate possibility. The WWF has big plans for Billy but they will only materialize as long as he can continue
generating a reasonable response from the crowd. If and when that dies down, the Outlaws will likely return. And I agree about the HC division. It seems somewhat lacking lately,
and another big time performer is exactly what the division needs. Be it Cactus or Road Dogg.
From Francis:
Hey, whatever happened to Todd Pettengill? Was he fired or released? He was
a great wrestling commentator and the new guys (well not so new now) kevin
kelly and michael cole, to tell you the truth, they suck. anyways, just one
more question. Livewire on Saturdays, whatever happened to the point that we
could call them and they could answer our questions? Thanks for the great
website and keep up the good work.
Refer to the answer directly preceding this question. Where Livewire is concerned, I'm not sure. We don't even get it here in Canada so I'm sort of clueless what you're talking about. Sorry.
From Matt:
Seeing HHH and Chyna screw the ministry would be cool, and it would take alot
of work, but it's be interesting. Here's how I think it would affect the big
scene:
Somewhere down the line, TBS and HHH start a fued. Then, HHH feels like screwing the CM,(and maybe reuniting, or reforming DX. So he screws the CM (I haven't a clue how), and TBS makes the save. This turns him heel, and suddenly, we have two huge men heading the heel department. This would force the ever improving Kane (I love this guy) into main-event status, along with HHH (and maybe even teamed up with HHH) and give the Rock and Austin a break, where they don't have to carry every show, and give the WWF some new matches/angles to hype. What do you think?
Works for me. I didn't quite understand this part though: "we have two huge men heading the heel department". Are you talking about TBS and Undertaker? Kane is a top draw, but since he never talks, he will never really establish himself amongst the elite of the WWF. In today's wrestling era, you got to have the goods as far as working the crowd goes.
From Dave:
Help me out here. I know about the Hart family and Davey Boy Smith, but what was the connection (if any) between the two Bulldogs? Was the Dynimite Kid British? And what was th deal with their breakup?, because I understand there was genuine animosity between them. Finally don`t you think that they both could be ended by back injuries is weird, huh???
As far as I know, they are cousins (thanks to Amy for that info). However, this is not really a subject I know a helluva lot about. As a result, I do not know the consequences of the break-up. All I know is that the two do not get along in real life anymore and that Dynamite once made some comments that suggested that he carried the team. You know, the typical ego stuff. If anyone knows of the situations of these two men, please email me so I can post the information up in this section. As Dave mentions, it is highly ironic that both guys may have seen their careers end due to back/spinal injuries.
Hey Raj, here is a question for your mailbag:
Do you think DX is done? With the New Age Outlaws not getting along and Billy Gunn and X-Pac starting up somewhat of a feud, I have no idea what is going on. Despite the rumors I really don't see the Hardy Boyz or Test joining DX, and a possible reunion with DX creator, HBK isn't out of the question, but I just can't picture it. What do you think is going to happan?
Like I said before, I don't think D-X will ever totally die. Sure they will have immense problems for the next few months or so and at times appear as to not exist, but this is all leading to the "fairy tale" ending, where they re-unite in the end as one. The WWF makes millions of merchandise sales from D-X related items and know of their immense popularity. Do not look for any new members to get them back on their feet until at least late summer, at which time Chris Jericho may enter the picture. Hardy Boyz? I doubt it. Test? Nah.
From Carlos Rivadeneyra:
Someone once told me that when Sean Waltman (X-pac) first wrestled in
the WWF he was known as the ''kid''. He became the 123 Kid after he pinned
Razor Ramon 1, 2, 3. Is this true?
This is correct. Waltman was known as "The Kid" prior to defeating Ramon. After that, his whole gimmick pretty much changed and revolved around the big 1-2-3 he got over a much-heralded WWF star in Razor.
rajah, what are the top 10 greatest professional wrestling matches you have ever seen?
I can't think of 10 off the top of my head, but here are some that stick out in my mind:
Andre VS. Hulk at WM 3
Ricky Steamboat VS. Randy Savage at WM 3
Warrior VS. Hulk at WM 6
Bret VS. Shawn at WM 12
Undertaker VS. Mankind (Hell in a Cell)
Sable VS. Tori (just kidding!)
From Matt:
this isn't wrestling realted but it's conserning your site.i was just on your rajah's 50 links site or something like that, and i was exremly surprised that you have wrestlezone as your #1 site. why the fuck would you do that when you always say that you really hate wrestle zone in like all of your rumor reports.
First off, I don't hate Wrestlezone. I'm just not a big fan at how they intentionally spread rumors. It's called unprofessionalism. Second, you are quite mistaken pertaining to the Top 50 sites. The site that was listed first is one run by a guy named Dean Nair and entitled "Tha WWF Warzone". Wrestlezone would never dream of subscribing to MY Top 50 service since they know all their hits would naturally flock to me. Most of you probably don't care for this, but I'll mention it anyways. When I first opened my site two years ago, Brian Enhaus (then owner of Wrestlezone) was on my ass to join HIS Top 50 sites. Obviously, I kindly declined. Now there's something you all probably never knew...and probably give a rat's ass about. Haha.
HEY I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED TO THESE WRESTLERS 1) TATANKA AND HOW LONG WAS HIS WINNING STREAK 2)THE GIANT GONZALEZ GUY WHO WRESTELED UNDERTAKER AT WM9 3)WAS ONE OF THE DOINKS AND THE REPO MAN THE SAME PEOPLE THANKS AND GREAT SITE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
I'll try:
1. Tatanka is currently working for Stampede Wrestling in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I can't remember how long his streak was, but it wasn't 174-0, that's for sure.
2. Gonzalez has retired from the professional wrestling stage.
3. No. The Repo Man/Smash of Demolition was never Doink for any sort of extended period. I suppose the WWF might have stuck him in for one night, but that's probably it.
Hey Rajah, i love your site. I got a gew questions for your site. First of all who do you think is gonna join dx next if anybody? Secondly, what are they gonna do with road dogg since now he doesn't have a tag team partner? Will he go for a title or fued against BABG? I don't think he'll go for the hardcore title because wwf seems to have a snow/holly angle going on for the hardcore championship. Later
I don't think anyone new will join D-X. Road Dogg will probably do both. Fight in the Hardcore Division, yet at the same time, embark on a mini-feud with Bad Ass.
From G-WITZ:
I am a huge Brood fan. It seems they have been jobbing as of
late, after they were getting a big push earlier. I am wondering when Luna
will be introduced as their manager and If they will add a big body to their
crew??I think SID would be a good fit here because of his size and main event
power. Any info on him? THANX
The Brood appear to be headed into angle with Hardy Boyz and Dok Hendrix. There also seems to be some unsettlement amongst the Brood as all three guys are more interested in leading singles careers and feel that staying as a group is holding each of them back. The status of Luna is certainly up in the air. Although she has been spotted backstage at a lot of the WWF's recent events, it may be just that she is accompanying husband Gangrel. Last I heard, Luna was still on indefinite suspension and the WWF showed no signs of even considering bringing her back. Finally, an alliance between Sid and The Brood gets them back to square one. It's sort of working backwards by hooking the trio up with a star who will obviously overshadow them.
From Chris H.:
What was the growth disease that The Big Show and Andre had? I don't think
you will know this one but is it the same one that Gheorghe Muresan of the
NBA had? His was a disorder of the pituitary gland?
Unfortunately, I cannot put my finger on the name of the disease, but if I hear it, I know I can point it out. I'm sure it has to do with the pituitary as that gland pretty much controls the growth hormone, which dictates how large one will get. That's all I know about that. Again, I call on any of you readers. Any extra info is greatly appreciated.
From Brian:
What do the Raw and Nitro rating numbers stand for?
Is it the number of people in the millions watching the program?
Nope. Here is the short explanation. Email me if you want the long, detailed one. Each ratings point represents roughly 720,000 households as far as CABLE ratings go. Ratings for the NETWORK shows are different as each ratings point represents about 980,000 households. The reason for this is is because only approximately 72% of households have cable. There are also differences in the "overnight" cable ratings versus the "weekly" cable ratings, but that would need probably an entire page to fully explain. If anyone simply must know, email me. I won't mind explaining it.
From Casey:
i am a loyal rajah reader, and this is the first time i'm writing
in. this is more of a comment than a question, it is something to look for
when watching wwf and wcw. did anyone ever notice how the champions in wcw
always wear their gold belts around their waist, while in the wwf the champs
almost never wear the belts, they just throw it over their shoulder or
something. i'm probably looking to far into this, but i thought it was
interesting.
keep up the good work
Yeah, it is somewhat interesting. Perhaps, WCW tries to project itself as the traditional, old-school type of wrestling, whereas the WWF has the associated "attittude" with it. Other than that, I do not see a reason for it. Probably just coincidence.
From eli"jojokokok":
I have a few questions to ask.
1. I watched the 1995 summerslam the other day and the main event between
Mabel and Diesel seems to end very weirdly, almost like somebody got hurt.
Can you explain?
2. I have heard many different reasons, but just how exactly did HBK hurt
his back?
3. I have heard that long ago, there was a WWF lightweight championship,
before the one currently held by Gillberg. Do you have any info on this?
4. When Razor Ramon (Scott Hall) was in the WWF, he was "suspended" a few
months before his departure to WCW. What fo? I have heard that it was for
drug usage, is this true?
1. I do not remember that particular match, so I will have to head on over to the local Blockbuster one of these days to check it out.
2. Basically due to the wear and tear a wrestling career brings with it. Michaels was especially active in his matches and many say that it was the fall he
took against a match with Undertaker in IYH: Badd Blood that actually broke the camel's back (literally).
3. Not that I know of, there was no prior lightweight division.
4. Yep, he has always battled drug problems. That is why he was actually released from the WWF.
From KevinJr.:
Rajah, here's some questions for the mailbag. I am a loyal reader of
your site and it's reports and columns, so I think I deserve
recognition in the mailbag (if it's OK with you of course :-)
--What does DDT stand for, or where did the name come from?
--I know that MR. T was involved with Wrestlemania I and II. Was he ever under contract with the WWF as a wrestler, or was it just those two appearances?
--Is there any relation between Rob Van Dam and Jean Claude Van Dam, the actor. They look exactly like each other.
1. I am not sure if DDT is an acronym for any sort of wrestling-related global term, but when I was younger, I remember hearing it stood for
"Damian's Dinner Tonight" or "Damian's Dinner Time", Damian being Jake Roberts' snake of course. DDT is also some chemical pesticide but that's probably
not what you're after.
2. He was just signed on a per appearance basis. There was never any sort of formal contract between the two parties.
3. No, there is no relation. Rob's name is spelled "Van Dam", while Jean-Claude's is "Van Damme".
From Dave:
If Linda McMahon legally owns the WWF and it was Vince`s dad who owned it previously, how did that switch in the family happen, Linda and Vince siblings???(joke) But seriously I heard Vince bought the company off his dad, did Linda put forward most of the money, or did Vince sign it over to her for tax purposes or what??????
Vince did indeed buy the WWF from his father but I suspect to avoid being heavily taxed, has signed on the company under his wife Linda. Basically, Linda's name is there for the courts, as Vince does almost everything himself.
From v1ct1m3y3z:
I was just wondering, not that I give a shit about the Legion of Doom,
but a couple months back when Hawk was having his "problems" . Was that
a work or a shoot. I remember that first night on Raw how he fell off
the ropes, and the first thing I said was that b*tch is stoned off his
ass. Also I've read on some pages that people think that Randy Savage
will eventually return to the WWF. Some say as soon as the end of the
year. I think that could happen because Savage looks better than he
ever has, the man can still move ( which of course more than we can say
for some other 40+ year old wrestlers.) He's got Gorgeous George who I
think is hotter than Sable. And he is the master of the second most
electrifying elbow in sports entertainment today. Tell me what you
think about Savage and what possible roll he may play with the company.
And oh yeah post this. DIG IT!!!!!! Thanks.
Well, as far as I know, Hawk was having some personal drinking problems, but the WWF chose to use it as an angle and everything you saw on RAW was well worked. He did not really fall off the Titan Tron, in other words. In my opinion, I could see Savage back with the company, but the real question is would he be willing to take a massive paycut to return to the WWF?
you aluded to todd petengill's firing/release from the wwf. what was the situation behind that and how does that matter to the whereabouts of the slammy awards?
Damn, that Todd sure was a popular guy. This is like the 4th person to ask about him. Basically, the Slammies were tailor made for Todd and he was actually the one who would crack all the jokes at the beginning. After he parted ways with the WWF, no one was willing or able to fill the void and the show was dropped. It also never caught on like the WWF had hoped.
hey rajah your page is awesome, its the best damn wrestling site ever. I got some questions about kane. How old is he? do you think he will ever lose the mask, and start speaking? is he still going to get a title this year?
He's probably in his late 30s, may lose the mask as has been heavily rumored in the past and probably will only hold the belt for brief instances if at all. Kane is not a marketable WWF champion and that's pretty much what prevents him from holding the strap.
From Bradley Justus:
Rajah, I was just wondering if Kane really has to use a throat vibrator to speak or if it is just part of his gimmick. Do you know the answer to my question? By the way, this is one of the best wrestling sites on the internet.
It's part of his gimmick. The last comment is what I love to hear.
From Jim:
dis isnt a wwf question but i juz wanna know wut is wcw doing the're putting
a piece of trailer park trash like ddp as da champ when everyone knows dat
wcw's main attraction is sting . sting would attract more veiweres den
ddp.why isnt wcw putting sting as champ?
I don't watch WCW but it's probably cause they are run by a bunch of morons.
From Matthew S.:
hey rajah, first off your site rules. i wanted to know where is bastian
buger right now and who was he? and is eddy guerro coming to the wwf? and
do you think ahmed will come back to the wwf? and who was any of the
doinks?
Bastion Booger? You got me on that one. Haven't heard of him since he left the WWF. Guerrero and Amhed both almost surely will not be in the WWF. The identities of the Doinks can be found in FAQ II. Check it out.
From Luke-Dogg
I was just wondering what your thoughts are on The Rock. Personally, I love
the guy. He is hilarious. I hate when people talk about him sucking. But
anway..do you think the WWF went to fast on making him a WWF Champ at such an
early age???
I'll admit it, Rocky isn't my favorite wrestler but there's no denying the guy reeks of talent and charisma. As a result, I do not think the WWF rushed him into superstardom. After all, if he can talk the talk at such an early age, why not walk the walk? The only drawback out of making him reach this level so quick is that it may inadvertently go to his head, which would be unfortunate for both Maivia and the WWF.
From Sam:
Dear Rajah,
This is for your mailbag. What do you think of this scenario? HBK
comes back but since he's better friends with HHH than any other member
of DX, he joins the Corporate Ministry. Then he secretly convinces HHH
and Chyna to screw the Corporate Ministry. When the Corporate Ministry
finally get screwed, HBK rolls the footage of when he got the crap
beaten out of him. Then the rest of DX come down (including Billy Gunn)
and they all start brawling until the Corporate Ministry leaves battered
and bruised. Then HBK says to HHH and Chyna "you also need to learn a
lesson" and X-Pac and Road Dogg beat them down. Then HHH is out on his
own with Chyna as his manager. What do you think of that? Oh, one more
question, how do you think the fans would react if HHH went on his own
and was still a heel? The Rock and Austin were the only people that
could really pull it off. Though I don't think the fans would react as
well as they did with the Rock if Austin ever truly went heel.
Good scenario, but it would send some mixed signals and probably end up confusing the masses as to whom really is good and who really is bad. HHH screws the Corporate Ministry, yet is still the heel could pose some problems. Triple H could definitely survive as a heel on his own, especially with Chyna at his side. For it to work, though, the WWF would constantly have to have him involved in all the main storylines.
first off let me just say that your website is really cool and so are your news/rumor reports. I have a couple questions that I have.First of all where is the lighgtheavywieght belt? I know Gillberg has it but now that he has gotten realesed so what is the wwf doing with it? Do you think maybe he will drop the belt to tiger ali sinhg at the ppv? or will the wwf just retire the belt or have another tournament? Do you know? Also I know many poeple think the hardcore division is dumb right now but i think it could be fixed put some people in the division like Road dogg again or even Mankind, what about D'lo Brown, or Kurt angle, or how about Droz or even though most people won't agree with me, how about the blue meanie. I think they could make this division work. They just need more poeple than Al Snow and Bob Holly. Also I think to make these divisions work they need to set up fueds with some poeple as heels and others as faces. Then the crowd would care about the lightheavyweight and hardcore title because they'll want the face to win. Also the people in the divisions should get a little mic time. Please comment on these subjects in your mailbag responses or e-mail me back. Thanks.
Glad you like the site. The lightweight belt has been scrapped for the time being but may be brought later on in the future. I agree, the Hardcore needs more publicity, possibly in the form of Road Dogg or Mic Foley. As talented as Al Snow is, he just cannot carry a bonafide division on his shoulders.
First off, your site rules, I've looked around for legit sites and yours tops them all keep it up. Second, I kind of like to consider myself a very knowledgable wrestling fan as well as my brother, we've been watching our whole lives and have tons of opinions so maybe you'll see fit to comment on them and place in your mailbag section. One question before I get to my comments, a while ago I heard that AWA was attempting to make a comeback but since I haven't heard a thing, I was curious if you have any info on that situation, personally I'm against something like that happening for a simple reason that AWA to be competitive nowadays it would have to have this whole "attitude" idea, I have nothing against the way wrestling is now, I love it, but to see AWA go that way would be very dissappointing, thats just an old school wrestling opinion, to me it would wreck my memories of seeing Greg Gagne wrestle Jerry Blackwell and Nick Bockwinckle knock out Larry Zabiscko with a role of quarters. As for the WWF, I enjoy all types of wrestling, but being a lifetime fan of WWF I feel the need to be biast towards it, and to be honest with you, I think WCW basically sucks and WWF tops it by a mile. But being a long time WWF fan, I find myself being a critic and I pick at the small things about it. The one thing that has bothered me lately is the entire hardcore division thing. They have only 2 guys fighting for a belt and the matches get worse and worse but not by fault of Holly or Snow who put everything into it, but the fact that they've fought a million times already. This division could be a really good way for wrestlers who may not have great mic skills to just shut up and go nuts in a hardcore match, such as Holly who I find to be a good wrestler but struggling for a fit in the WWF, he seems to have found one, but if the WWF doesn't pay more attention to this division, it will go the way of the Lightweight division. Hopefully the WWF will recruit more hardcore fighters and make something of the hardcore title, the WCW seems to be making a big push with their hardcore division, unfortunately WCW sucks and they'll blow it somehow, I don't doubt it. I was glad to see you say that after Mic Foley returns he'll head back to the hardcore ranks, hopefully that will get the WWF to get some other wrestlers involved instead of having a Holly/Snow match every damn week.
I'm pretty sure when I say this, but the AWA most likely will not re-surface. As you stated, in today's wrestling world, it will be impossible for them to survive. WCW is struggling to keep up and they have an endless talent pool and are funded by a billionaire. I do expect the Hardcore division to gain some steam in the coming weeks. After Mankind returns from his leave of absence, we may see both him and Road Dogg provide the much needed spark to establish the division as the best one in the world. The truth is right now, WCW may be one up on them in that department.
From Cheech316:
I have been a huge WWF fan for years. I won't watch WCW for one reason. It is just simply boring. The last thing I watched is the Rowdy Roddy Piper vs. Hollywood Hogan in a steel cage at a ppv. It was the one when about 20 Stings came from the audience. I actually fell asleep. Well, now on with the question. You mentioned today about Shane Douglas going back to the WWF. I remember Shane going back to ECW and making some bad remarks about the WWF. What happened that caused the bad blood between them and why do you think he would go back if he didn't like it? By the way I love the mailbag. Keep up the good work.
Shane Douglas was unhappy in the WWF for numerous reasons. First, he felt he was not getting paid enough. Second, he was not overly thrilled with the "Dean Douglas" gimmick that the WWF gave to him and third, he was feeling like he was being f*cked around by the Kliq (Michaels and Razor). Dean Douglas was projected to take the I-C title off of Shawn, however, due to the "Syracuse Incident", Michaels was instead forced to forfeit the title. Douglas wasn't happy at that as he was promised a fair and clean win over Michaels, which would put him over as the heel. To add further to his unhappiness, soon after he got the I-C title, the WWF made him job it to Razor Ramon, who is a good friend of Shawn's. In the end, Douglas felt that it was Michaels' pull in the company that left him with a raw deal.
I'm fairly New To WWF(Watching It) and I Have seen the Rock Referred As Rocky Mavia, Why is he called That?
Rocky Maivia was the character name he adopted when he first entered the WWF as a baby face heel. He used that name even after his heel turn but soon after his stay in the Nation, the name "The Rock" developed and phased out Rocky Maivia.
From Matt Brantley:
I was just wondering what has happened to Tori in the women's division? She was in a fued with Sable and then just disappeared. It was leading to be a great angle on the big shows like RAW and even PPVs. Just looking for some info.
Tori is still in the WWF's plans for a future women's title reign. However, since Sable has been relatively absent from recent RAWs, there has been no real role for Tori to fill into. Basically, it all came down to Sable. She was, after all, the women's champ, and when she goes missing in action, the other women "wrestlers" generally tend to disappear as well. It hasn't helped any of Tori's, Ivory's or Jacky's matter that Debra is the new champ.
i heard somewhere (possibly here) that tori is shane mcmahons wife. is this true?
Although Shane McMahon is married, Tori is not his wife. The rumor you heard is false.
Alright i have several questions for ya:
1. Why doesn't the WWF exploit its talent to the fullest (i.e. test papa shango al snow edge and even mick foley) I think that cactus jack is a much better character than mankind and a cactus jack-papa shango angle would be very marketable possibly for the ic strap.
2. Is the wwf just trying to destroy the ic scene. Anyone of the stars above would be much better than the current stars( papa shango is a much better incarnation than the godfather) competing for it. Am i the only one who thinks the current ic belt just sucks and they should go back to the old one.
3. What is going on with Shane Douglas? When and if he goes to the wwf again will he have his current "Franchise" gimmick cause its a damn good one or will they waste his talent once again.
4. Any word on Sid? Oh yeah and ive heard HBK may come back to wrestle at least a few more matches but only at importnt PPV's.
1. You'll probably have to ask Vinnie Mac that question. All I can really say is that they do what is best for storyline purposes and Papa Shango, although a unique character in his own right, isn't what today's fans really want. They want someone who can work the mic and entertains them and Godfather certainly fits the bill. Selecting Cactus Jack
over Mankind is a matter of opinion. I'm sure there are thousands of fans out there that like Mankind better. I do know that Foley has been quoted as saying that he does not like using Cactus Jack in the WWF, for whatever reasons that he may have.
2. The I-C belt has lost some prestige, but the WWF looks to be gradually introducing a host of new stars heading into the latter parts of 1999. Owen, Jeff Jarrett, Goldust, Godfather, Edge, Test and possibly others will be battling for it in no time. It's just that the World title picture has taken center stage as of late.
3. Last I heard, Shane Douglas was unbelievably close to signing with the WWF. In fact, he may sign later this week. I'll keep you posted. He will probably maintain "The Franchise" gimmick.
4. Both the WWF and WCW want him. Sid would rather go to WCW, but Arn Anderson is there. Shane wants Sid in D-X. Vince isn't so sure. That's the Sid story in a nutshell.
I was wondering when was the last time that Stone Cold Steve Austin suffered a "clean" lose? (I don't consider being pinned by both Kane and UT at Breakdown Clean)
I'm not totally sure, probably would have to take a look at all the PPV results. If it goes back a couple of years, he did lose to Bret Hart. But again, I don't know if that's his most recent clean loss.
I was just wondering something. In a report of "Mailbag" you were talking about how the Slammys went off the air because Todd Petengill was fired\released. I always thought that he had been promoted to a higher office position. When Michael Cole first came to the WWF Road Dogg said he looked like Petengill on Raw. Then last week on Shotgun Al Snow kept calling Michael Cole "Todd" in an interview. Then Jim Cornette said that he looked like "Todd". I figured that since they mentioned his name on T.V. that they hadn't fired him but promoted him or something like that. Could you clear this up for me?
Whoa, more Todd questions. Basically, they're making fun of Pettengill. If you look through some of the WWF's recent magazines, you will see that they sometimes also take shots at him there. Todd is no longer with the WWF in any capacity.
Personally I think that if the WWF wants to hype the women's division the should headline it with Chyna, Nicole Bass, Jacqueline (for her abundant wrestling experience) and Luna.
I do too, but Sable and Debra get the men in the seats and the WWF wants a popular WWF women's division, not necessarily a successful one.
From Paul:
I was thinking back to a few years ago when Paul Roma first made his break in the WWF. I remember that he had a tag team partner at one time, but I forget who it was. Could you please tell me who it was and where Paul is now.
His partner was Jim Powers and together they comprised the Young Stallions. Later on in Roma's WWF career, he teamed with Hercules to form Power and Glory, before heading off elsewhere. I do not the whereabouts of Roma at this moment, but I believe he is still active in some of the smaller promotions across the US.
From Sean:
I read the mailbag, and I also saw the e-mail from the person that alleged that the Road Dogg Jesse James is gay. He said that Road Dogg said that he didn't want to see Debra. What really happened was the Dogg said that he wanted the special stipulation of Debra stripping if the NAO beat Canadian Country. He went on to say, "and that's just for you Billy, not for me, 'cause I know you like them". He said it really sarcastically and he was obviously joking around. I just wanted to put that to rest. Again, Jesse James is NOT gay, and was being sarcastic when he made those comments. Feel free to put this in the mailbag to clear that up for your millions.....and millions of the Raj's fans.
That's the last one on this matter, I promise.
From Casey:
1. In your 5-11 news and Rumors section u mentioned something about Shawn Micheals being used sparingly. Can u clarify on this?
2. Also, i know there is no way of telling for sure but do u think HBK will ever return to actual wrestling?
3. Last is the wwf allowed to show "puppies" on PPV or Raw?
1. The WWF will use him on and off, maybe at the rate of once or twice every couple of months. He will not be at every single RAW from now on. Basically, I consider Shawn the ace up the sleeve of the WWF.
When they need a big night ratings wise or emotion wise, they'll call on him. If not, then they won't.
2. Ahhh....I guess there's no escaping this question...but in MY opinion, I do believe he will fight one last time at least, possibly as a final farewell. That's just MY opinion though and don't take it as god-sent message or anything.
3. No. Under FCC regulations, they are not allowed to show nudity. I guess the WWF could arrange for some puppy exposure on accident, but don't hold your breath. I don't think it will ever happen.
From Sunny:
First I'd like to say Happy 21st B-day. You can go and party in the USA now!! Secondly I have a question either for the mailbag or just an answer would be great. Here it goes....On RAW if you look at Shawn Michaels back there is no scar from his surgery. How does that work?
No comment. Actually, I don't know...
I'm still a wrestling newbie (but I only watch WWF) so maybe you can help me with this question: is the ECW hated by the WWF? If so, why? I seem to remember Jim Ross saying that a certain tag-team that moved from the ECW to the WWF were hated by other WWF wrestlers because they had been with the ECW. rajah.com is the best wrestling site and one of the best web sites, period.
No, they are not hated. It was just for angle purposes for the Public Enemy. WWF and ECW actually have an admirable working relationship, as both promotions have found it beneficial to avoid tearing each other apart and instead focus their dislike as a whole towards WCW. Meaning, they have somewhat joined forces against WCW. The two promotions regularly swap talent back and forth.
From Mike:
Hi Raj, Mike here. After watching RAW and the Night Stick Match with Test and the BossMan, I was wondering... Is the Big Bossman Gay? Jerry Lawler and JR were kind of hinting it, with tons of hidden jokes. Also, at the end of the match with the GreenWhich Possee and Jerry Brisco and Pat Patterson, did you here what JR said? I know that Pat is gay, but why would JR openly say it on TV? Doesn't the WWF kind of want it to be hidden? Well, anyway after the match, and after the part where Patterson takes off his shirt, you here JR say "And he FELLAS, he is single!" The "fellas" part was said EXTRA loud. So, just try to answer these Q's.
The only confirmed person to be gay is Pat Patterson. There are rumors that Paul Heyman, the ECW owner, may also be homosexual, but that has not been proven. Personally, does it really matter??? It seems everyone's out to find out if so and so are gay. Maybe it's none of our business...Anyways, the answer to your second question, Patterson is openly gay and the WWF doesn't mind the inside jokes and stuff between the commentators and the wrestlers. Ross has also been quoted as saying that Pat specializes in "rear end work" at Brisco's garage, or something similar to that. I don't think I need to go further. The only thing the WWF will frown upon is if Ross actually came out and said "Pat Patterson is gay, folks".
hey happy b-day man! love the site......... i was wonderin if Shawn Michaels' role in the wwf will mainly focus on his job as comish or will he be wrestling any time soon? wil yokozuna go to the wcw anf who the hell is Shane douglas? sorry last question..........do u think the Papa Shango thing'll come back in any way? did papa shango ever get a title? thanx once again for the kick ass site, put me in the mailbag and make my monkey ass famous, i dare ya , please!!
I'm guessing he will play the role of Commish until further notice. Papa Shango will likely not return to the WWF and he has never won a title.
If your question didn't make it here, one of two things is likely up. I either did not know the answer or have not gotten to your email yet. Also, it may be
that your question has an answer which is found elsewhere on the page. The next Mailbag will go up sometime next week. Later.
