| rajah.com Mailbag -By Kayfabe and Rajah |
Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.
Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:
1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW

Can you help me settle a bet between me and my mate.
In one of your recent weekend rumour reports you said that the reason Hall & Nash were creating problems in WCW is possibly because they may "wish to return to their WWF roots". I'm convinced that they were 'Diamond Stud' and 'Vinnie Vegas' in WCW before they were ever in WWF. Am I right or do I owe my friend a fiver?
Just a note - I don't know how WCW ever expect to break into the UK because their coverage on Channel 5 is about one month behind. This week we had to put up with JJ v Snuka in a cage match - with Benoit as guest referee!!!
Someone is five dollars richer, and it's you. Scott Hall and Kevin Nash played the unsuccessful characters you mentioned in WCW before they ever entered the WWF.

Hey. I was wondering if Kevin Kelly is Brother Love's son, or something like that. The reason behing this is because, in the
December 1998 issue of RAW magazine, in one of Jim Ross' rant's, it said, "Whatever happened to Brother Love? Ask Kevin
Kelly." Hope you can answer this. Thanks.
No, they are not related. Bruce Pritchard, who played Brother Love, still works for the WWF, so there's no doubt Ross was making some reference, but I'm not sure what Kelly has to do with it.

i know you've done this before, but i'd like some more opinions on
overated and underrated wrestlers.
My List:
OVERATTED
1. Steve Austin- No wrestling ability, and contrary to popular
belief, no mic skills. He's been saying have a beer and go to hell
for the last five years.
2. Road Dogg- great mic skills, awful physique and wrestler.
3. The Rock- don't get me wrong, he's great on the mic and he's
entertaining to watch, however, his wrestling matches consist of him
punching and kicking the entire time, a samoan drop here, a ddt
there, and finally a rock bottom. (I'm absolutely serious, just
watch.)
UNDERATTED
1. Definately Al Snow- Great wrestler, and besides the rock and
mankind, has the best mic skills. Who ever he works with, he seems
to make them better.
2. British Bulldog- Ya, he doesn't have good mic skills but he's been
in the business for 15+ years and he deserves our respect. He's a
throwback and sometimes we miss that.
3. Christian- He's pretty much the exact same wrestler as Edge, but
since Edge is the hearthrob of the two, Christian gets ignored. He's
a fun wrestler to watch.
I would just like to add how EXTREMELY displeased I am with the releasing of the LOD. These guys were the NAO of the eighties, and the way they got just thrown out like yesterdays trash, really pissed me off. The LOD ARE THE BEST TAG TEAM EVER. What are your thoughts?
I will not disagree with any of your picks. Steve Austin was at one time a very good technical wrestler, but injuries have slowed him late in his career. You are correct in your assessment of the Rock's matches, but on TV these days when the average RAW match lasts three minutes, what can you expect? It is obviously going to be the same old thing the majority of the time for a lot of guys, just not the Rock. The Road Dogg is hugely overrated; he never really impresses in the ring, but he can get over based on his character and mic skills. Christian is great, and his fans actually vary in age, which can't be said for the sea of fourteen year old girls that admire his partner. The British Bulldog has my respect; I've been a fan of his for years and years and I'd love to see him win the WWF Title. Hey, it could still happen; he does have two and a half years left on his contract. Give him his old tights and music back, and have him avenge Bret Hart by confronting Shawn Michaels and Triple H about
the Screwjob incident. That will get him over as a main eventer for sure. The Legion of Doom, in their heyday, were probably the greatest Tag Team of all time.

Hey yo. I recently heard that X-pac was supposed to
get a push, and become the Interconinental Champion.
Do you know if this is true or not?
P.S. XpacLuVR, your right, X-pac RULEZ!
I can believe it and I can most definitely see it happening. Does a Jericho/X-Pac Wrestlemania sound good to you? Cause it does to me. When you think of potential IC Title contenders in the WWF right now, you think D'Lo Brown, Test, Val Venis, Al Snow, etc. But one guy is ahead of them all; X-Pac. X-Pac has already done it all. He's in DX so he's been involved with Main Events before and for the last few months, he's been embroiled in a feud with Kane, a former WWF Champion. X-Pac's already been a multiple European and Tag Team Champion; it's time to move up. One other thing he's got going for him: He has a pretty long history with the WWF (compared to most of the other wrestlers). I see X-Pac with the Intercontinental Title in the fairly near future.

Hey, I won't ass kiss here, but get to the point. In your view what are the best WWF matches ever? If you care mine (in no
particular order are)
-Bret/Austin (Survivor Seires 96)
-Bret/Bulldog (SummerSlam 92)
-Bret/Owen, Cage Match (SummerSlam 94)
-Shawn Michaels/Mankind (Mind Games)
-LOD, Austin, Shamrock, Goldust v.s. Bret, Owen, Bulldog, Pillman and Anvil (Canadian Stampede, The Best PPV ever)
No shit like Nash, Rock, Austin (Post 97) Notice how 4 out of the 5 matches involve Bret? Then I look at your poll archive and see people would rather have Nash (lazy, talentless shit) and Sid (one man injuring machine) than Bret? What a laugh. By the way, if you wanna see the gratest match ever, get Wrestle War '89 and watch Flair/Steamboat.
All the ones you mentioned are great. Throw in Bret vs. Owen from Wrestlemania X, and Steamboat vs. Savage from Wrestlemania III. Canadian Stampede, best PPV ever? I like the ending, but overall?... Ouch.

did you laugh when viscera fell when he was trying to help the hollys
backstage against the acolytes?
by the way rajah.com is the best wrestling site out today! (even though i think you guys should get a new design.)
Yes, yes I did. New design? Be patient and stay tuned.

Dear Everyone, I have watched the wwf since like 1990, and i loved jeff
jarrett ever since i saw him. i was wonderin why exactly he went to WCW and
if he will ever come back to the WWF? I love kurt angle, chris benoint, jeff jarrett,
christian (who is much better than edge) i love true wrestlers like them ,
and do u think any true wrestlers will be world champions later?
thanx for your help, please post this up.
I like all the guys you listed too. Hopefully they'll enjoy much success over the rest of their careers.
Jeff Jarrett's WWF contract expired in October and Jim Ross neglected to re-sign him. As the story goes, the WWF was ready to pit Jarrett into an angle with Steve Austin, but apparently the Rattlesnake refused to work with Jarrett at Ross' advice. Jarrett, obviously feeling that this would stifle his chance for success in the WWF, decided to make a wise career move and jump to WCW. I can't say I blame them. His dream is to be the best, and why remain in a situation where you will be held back when you can go elsewhere and acheive success?

Why arent WWF champs aloud to keep their belts with them in between events?
What incident caused this??? Did someone lose or forget theirs??
In the mid 90's, WWF Women's Champion, Alundra Blayze (Madusa) showed up live on WCW TV (Monday Nitro), denounced the WWF, and proceeded to dump the WWF Women's Title in the trash. Fearing another event like that, the WWF makes their wrestlers give their belts to backstage officials after every show.

Hi. Thank you for answering my last question. As I am an Australian, it is nice
to have some things cleared up by a site I trust. So, on with my question. What exactly is Head-cheese? I assume it is some sort of food, and that it is a derogatory name.
I guess maybe the Australian's are a few weeks behind. Awhile back, Al Snow was brainstorming names for his tag team with Steve Blackman and among other things (Snow Bunnies) suggested Headcheese. Al, of course, carries around Head, a mannequin's head, and Blackman supposedly represents the cheese. It's not supposed to be derogatory, just funny.

I love your site and continue to come back often. Mine is not a question, but
a comment. How come you don't have a women's point of view on wrestling. I feel
that is the only thing missing on here. We ladies love wrestling as well. Some
of us have opinions on it without the constant..."this guy is hot" or "this
woman is sleazy" attitude.

WHEN WILL VINCE MCMahon return to the wwf and why did he leave
Nobody knows. Right now Vince has had his hands full with booking RAW and Smackdown each week.

Great site...I was thinking that usually the kotr is usually used to push a
wrestler, usually from mid carder to main eventer...i was thinkin since the kotr
is in boston and prince albert is from Boston is there any chance he wins and
becomes maybe an ic title contender??
I doubt the WWF would select a King Of The Ring winner based solely on the fact that the event is in their hometown.

I love your site. Now on to my questions.
Does the bookers in the WWF book the whole match, like the punching and moves that they do. Cause' I keep wondering if the bookers make up all that outta the ring stuff, and those wonderful tag team moments when someone does a move, but can barely tag his partner, and both tired men tag their partner and the face starts to clean house. What am I saying, sorry for boring you.
This is more of a comment than a question, because I know there is a one question limit., but I can write a question and a comment, can I? Well I think Dlo needs another shot at the Euro belt, leading to an IC shot, leading to him being one of the top stars in the future. He deserves it. I also think that the WWF should get DDP, Kanyon, Booker T, Hall, Nash, Vampiro, and Kidman from WCW. And Lance Storm, Justin Credible, Tommy Dreamer, Raven, Sandman, Jerry Lynn, Rhino, and Super Crazy from ECW. Tell me what ya think. D.T.A- don't trust anybody.( sorry, I had to do that)
Back up the train. You want the WWF to get fifteen more big names?! No offense, but you're living in a dream world. There's no way that they would ever want, afford, or be able to juggle a roster with those wrestlers and the ones they currently have under contract. They'd run into the old WCW problem of having too much talent and not enough time to do anything with it.
The bookers plan the finish of the match and Pat Patterson helps the wrestlers plan some of the more important spots, but they don't write the whole match move for move.

Wud up? I was wondering, we all know that Shawn Micheals is the only grand
slam champion in the wwf. Is there anybody that has won all the titles in
WCW? I believe that Chris Benoit won all of them including the
cruserweight, but I'm not sure. And on a side note, THE PEOPLES ELBOW IS THE
WORST MOVE IN THE HISTORY OF THE WWF. Maybe the Rock should take some tips
from everyones olympic hero.
Absolutely right. Kayfabeism #81: The People's Elbow is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. And yes, Kurt Angle is my Olympic hero.
I'm no WCW expert so I did some research and discovered that Benoit hasn't won the Cruiserweight Title.
From: JoJoe
Don't you think the WWF should put the misused tag talent like D'Lo and
Godfather, Headcheese etc. into singles pushes on Heat or Jakked. That would
greatly improve ratings. I hardly ever watch Jakked but if it had bigger
stars and some angles, I'd happily tune in. Thanx - Get well soon Taker!
JoJoe's Quote: "If you shake it more than twice, you're playing with it."
Jakked and Heat are used to give some lower mid-carders some solid TV time; ratings aren't much of an issue. The bigger names and angles are obviously saved for RAW and Smackdown.

We won't. I think...

Recently on a Canadian radio station broadcast stated Ric Flair was
returning to the WWF in a few weeks. Is this true?
There were rumors running rampant about that a few weeks ago, but they've seemed to calm down recently. Ric Flair is under WCW contract for at least another year, so unless he is able to find a way out of that deal, he won't be able to go to the WWF anyway.

Hey Rajah, With all these new wrestlers from WCW and ECW coming into the WWF and having
Austin, Undertaker, Shawn, and Shamrock coming back eventually, will the WWF
ever have problem like WCW did by having to many wrestlers to satisfy?
There are more WCW wrestlers wanting to come into the WWF and the WWF may
just have to many mouths to feed. Great Site
This seems to be the genral theme of the whole Mailbag this week. All I can say in response is that the WWF doesn't HAVE to take on any of these guys, and as it stands right now, I suggest they don't.
