rajah.com Mailbag
-By Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW

From:The wwf in recient years has held ppv's at much smaller venues than it use to years ago why is this when wrestling is much more important/popular than it was years ago and you can clearly see at most raw and smackdowns' they only use half of the arena i.e wHen they used the georgia dome last year they only used half of it.us wwf fans want to see the wwf in huge arenas again i.e silverdome, skydome,

I don't know if this is a comment or a statement that you want me to touch on. I'll assume it's both. My opinion is that by having events at smaller venues, it makes the show seem louder and basically with more electricity. Case in point, the latest RAW in Atlanta's Georgia Dome. I've seen many reporters and fans alike comment that the show didn't seem to have the "oomph" as past RAWs and most of these people concluded that the Atlanta crowd just wasn't into it as usual. That is not correct. With a bigger building, things come across a lot milder on TV since the place doesn't radiate the same amount of energy. It's sort of common sense that a smaller, more packed arena will sound wilder and more "into it" than a larger audience. Also by having events in bigger arenas there is always the threat that the stadium will not sell out (ie. every week on NITRO) and on TV it ends up looking bad. You also have to remember a bigger stadium such as a "dome" costs WAY more money to rent than does a normal sized arena. That's all the reasons I can think of.

why wont the wwf sign shane douglas? he is a huge headliner when he is 100%

There are a couple of reasons one may point to when discussing why the WWF won't hire Shane Douglas back. The first and foremost is that his last swing in the WWF as "Dean Douglas" ended on a really sour note. Douglas complained that he wasn't getting the money he deserved and was also moaning about the fact that others within the roster were sabotaging his career. Because of it, the WWF didn't think twice about parting ways with him. The second and somewhat related reason is that Douglas doesn't really get along with some of the Kliq members (Shawn Michaels predominantly). Also in his last tenure with the WWF, Douglas complained that Michaels didn't job the I-C belt to him like he thought he deserved to do and to make matters worse, Douglas was "forced" to lose the I-C belt soon thereafter to Shawn's close friend Razor Ramon (Scott Hall). It is this backstage politics that plays a role in him not coming to the WWF. There is also the money issue. According to several reliable sources, Shane Douglas is asking for way too much than what the WWF is willing to pay.

Great site! okay, I was just wondering if the wrestlers take an AIDS test or something because of the amount of blood in the ring. I mean sometimes they are covered in each others blood and stuff. Keep up the great work!!

They probably get some periodic tests (not directly for AIDS and other related diseases) but just as part of regular physicals and what not. Other than that, I don't know much else. It's well beyond what I would know. Sorry.

Hi I have what many might consider a silly question. But in paying very close attention to detail i have noticed that in all of his on screen apperances the HHH is wearing a wedding ring or at least a gold band. Is this perhaps a real ring that was given to him by Chyna, since we all know that the "stepahnie marriage" is just story line? Do we know if Chyna and HHH are planning real nuptials anytime soon. They are a great couple and the whole reason I started watching wrestling in the first place. Thanks for the answer and you time

You might not believe me but I also noticed that my first thought was that Triple H and Chyna actually got married without the press knowing. However, after asking around, I was told that it is just in accordance with the angle involving him and Stephanie.

Hello, Rajah & Kayfab, here's some long rambling questions that i would be absolutley thrilled if you could answer Anyhow I started watching WWF around Oct. 1999 and for Christmas this year i got the 5 big PPV's of 1998 on video, so thats what i have the questions about. 1)Sable. I know she left and filed a law suit against the WWF, but why exactly was she suing them. did she get fired or quit? She seemed like she actually had some talent, and personality.
2)Chyna. Is it just me or does she look a lot different now than she did in 1998? Do you know if she's had any plastic surgery?
3)how many times has DX disbanded and reunited?
4)too cool when they were called too much, didn't seem to be very popular, why do you think they are so over now? the clothes, the music or Rikishi? also there was something briefly mentioned on the site about a too cool marriage! what was up with that crazy idea.could you please give the details of that incident?

1)She basically just refused to work after a while so I guess you can she quit. However, after some brief negotiations and a brief lawsuit as well, she was given her conditional release. Sable basically sued for sexual harassment.
2)She's had quite a lot of plastic surgery. Both to her face/jaw area and her breasts. In fact, she doesn't try to hide that fact and is quite open about the plastic surgery.
3)Just once. They started off together, broke up, then got back together again, which is where they are now.
4)I would say it's all of the above. Their gimmick is something that the world of wrestling really hasn't seen before and it's just funny cause you know that they aren't like that in real life. The addition of Rikishi has also done wonders since he is about as over as anyone in the WWF. As for the wedding, back when they were Too Much, the angle progressed to the point where a certain former WWF writer made the two guys out to be gay. There were rumors that things would culminate in a wedding at St. Valentine's Day Massacre but according to the rumor mill, Jerry Lawler put a stop to it. The writer went on to star briefly for WCW and is currently sitting at home twindling his thumb.

Hey Mailbag People! I was wondering what Chris Jericho is talking about when he tells Matt Hardy to stop asking about the "documentation" that he carrys with him? I have seen this on Jericho's Commentary a couple of times.

I'm not sure of the exact details but apparently Jericho and Matt have sort of an online war (all in good fun of course) going on where each retaliates on their commentaries on their respective sites. I haven't been following it much, but it's just an inside joke I guess.

In WWF magazine wrestler interviews, are the interviews really conducted or do bookers write them?

I believe they are legitimately done by the wrestlers. But I can't say for sure.

Yo Raj, awesome site. Anyway, I used to be a frequent visitor about 6 months ago but school has kept me away for awhile. But when I did visit I remembered that you said you were going to have to shut down this site around the spring time. Is this still going to happen? If so, when are you shutting it down?

Nah, I changed my mind. I do admit that I did say that once, but it was mostly out of frustration since I was spending too much time maintaining the site and wasn't able to do other stuff that I enjoyed. But since then, I have realized that I have a pretty good thing going here and I've learned to manage my time more efficiently. So this site isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
