rajah.com Mailbag
-By Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW

To Whom it May Concern:

Any credibility you yahoos may have had as an independent wrestling site goes right down the drain once you start whoring yourself out with wwf merch. I am sure I speak for many disappointed fans out there who wish you would leave the whoring, er, selling of merch to the professional whores at wwf.com. Seriously, if we need wwf crap to show everyone how much we like our favorite superstars, we know where the fuck to get it. It would be fine if you were selling stuff that said "RajahWWF" on it, because that would make sense, it is who you are. Now you are nothing more than a bunch of transparent, two-faced, no credibility havin', gold chain wearin', backstabbin', lowlife WWF ass suckin' pieces of phony trailer park trash. But seriously, thank you for being so obvious about it. I mean, how much more obvious could it be that you are a fake independent site, financed by WWF Creative to feed us all a bunch of monkey crap? In fact, I am pretty goddamn sure that there is no "Rajah", no "Kayfabe", no "whatever the other guy's name is". You are all just figments of our imagination, just three more characters conceived by the devious mind of Vince McMahon. Here's Vince's scenario:

1.June, 1999- Vince notices the force that indy sites are having
2.July, 1999- a site called RajahWWF is born from the programmed minds of Lucas, Kevin Kelly, Michael Cole, and the Coach
3.by Dec, 1999- wrestling fans are sold on Rajah, but there is always something suspicious in the way they have the WWF logo on their site and are allowed to put up pix from WWF and WWFdivas
4.April 6, 1999- now firmly nestled in the hearts of wrestling fans, Rajah, aka Michael Cole, slides in an announcement about the new WWF merch screwjob, expecting that no one will smell the foul stink of conspiracy
5.April 7, 1999- Vince, you didn't count on this one- I begin work on a new indy site, determined to both bring fellow fans news, rumors, and outstanding columns(of which you have none by the way, and orchestrating a program between Jumpin Jim and Normie aka Retard Kelly is NOT going to work, Vince) and also to expose you for the lying whores that you are.

There are 3 things that I am sure of in this world:
1.Oswald did not act alone
2. Vince screwed Bret Hart (and don't get me wrong, I'm glad he did it)
3. Your site is a sham and has been from the beginning

Have a nice day.

Folks, when every rajah.com staff member received this e-mail earlier this month, we knew we were busted. I suppose that now that the secret is out I can finally reveal myself as Lucas of the WWF. It feels good to finally come clean; I can only hope that you, the readers, will not take this news too harshly and will still continue to read, visit, and support rajah.com.

On a sidenote, I thought Kurt's e-mail was an excellent piece of satirical writing. He really had me going there for awhile.

I hate the people that write in and say, "Austin sucks cause he only has two moves". It doesn't just make me mad with Austin, but ripping on The People's Elbow. Granted, some stuff is supposed to look real, but give me a break.

First of all, Austin has a great gimmick. He doesn't want to be controlled and does everything to keep it that way. He is also a master of when he does certain things. When he jumps on the guy and starts pounding the crap out of him, you'll see why. His timing on those moves and his Stunner are great.

Look at Kurt Angle. He's a good technical wrestler, but his matches are pretty boring. Austin's makes the match exciting with a few well-timed moves.

Secondly, The People's Elbow. I'll admit, it's a lame move. But, it gets the fans into the match. For me, there's nothing more exciting than when he stands over someone and does it. How many people were laughing and cheering when he did the elbow to Stephanie at WM? It's the same with the Worm. It is a weak move, but it gets people into the match.

And finally, with all the people b****ing about Jericho's and others' pushes toward main event status. Right now, the WWF has three main eventers. Big Show, The Rock, and Triple H. Kane is not getting pushed real great, and Rikishi's push is kind of at a standstill. They need to get more guys up there. Now, the Big Show is losing some push. How many people b****ed when Show got the title? A lot. Undertaker was out, Austin was out, Kane and Rikishi weren't getting pushed there. What else were they supposed to do? Look at how it all worked out. Show got into WM.

If you want five main eventers, watch WCW. If you want to see a few guys win the title, that's fine. The WWF got stronger because they pushed younger guys like Triple H and The Rock to main event status. What happens if The Rock goes down or Triple H does? The Rock will be filming a movie so he'll be out. How many people want to see Big Show vs Triple H again? This is exactly what hurt WCW. They didn't push many young guys and people got sick of seeing Hogan vs Flair, Round 2038. Why do you think Vince McMahon has the number one show on cable tv?

The main event picture changes often. Wrestling is getting more dangerous, and wrestlers are injured all of the time. With the WWF's planning, they have three or four guys that can fill the void and become part-time main-eventers. Jericho could be, but I doubt he'd win the title right away. Others include: Rikishi (needs another push), Benoit, Angle, and Kane (once again). Personally, when I saw Bret Hart win the title in WCW, I felt it kind of sucked. He didn't get pushed until that tournament. Sorry about the ramblings, but these kind of things really annoy me.

I like what you said about the WWF's talent. As far as "moves" go, it's a moot point in the year 2000. Matches just don't matter anymore. I blame Vince Russo.

Hi...I have been racking my brain about an old school wrestler and what his name is. He wrestled in the first few wrestle manias...he is Iranian, or Iraqui...or something like that. And he had one of those big long mustaches, and those weird boots that twisted at the ends...I don't remember his name and its killing me. If you can remember, could you let me know?? Thanks~!!

Gotta be thinking of The Iron Sheik, one of the greatest heels of all time.

From: Arthur
Hi, I know that anything can happen in WWF but the heel turn (again) by Vince seemed strange... When he came back on raw with the rock, he hit HHH and Shane and it was going to be the oh-so-beautiful "love story" between Vince-Rock and the crowd. Then, heel change at wrestlemania... I doubt very much that it was planned when he came back with the way he nailed HHH and Shane... Strange heel turn... What do you think???

Of course it was planned. Yes, at the time, it was a little screwy, and I still don't entirely trust the Vince/HHH relationship, but it was definitely planned.

From: Roffstr
Do you think the Nation of Domination will ever refrom, if so when?

No.

From: Steve
I love your site and check it out after every event or when I get some free time. Anyways, we all know now that Glen Jacobs (Kane) played the fake Diesel. Who played the fake Razor Ramon? And is this person still wrestling?

A wrestler by the name of Michael Bogner, or something to that effect. I'm not sure of his whereabouts, but he's probably in the indies somewhere.

From: Lobez
i want to know where i can find a graph on the ratings of the WWF i have to do a report for English about why Wrestling should be on PrimeTime T.V. could u please email me back personally if u have any it is an arguement paper on why it should be on Primetime

Woops, probably done with your report by now, huh? Sorry to everyone about the delay (and poor level of this edition) of the Mailbag, but I've been working really hard on bringing a new soon to debut section up to date, and man will you guys love it. Anyway, I don't know about graphs, but we have our very own Monday Night Ratings infromation section here at rajah.com, I believe under the "Information" section.

Oh dear. Despite what our buddy Kurt may think we here at rajah.com are actually not employed by the WWF and have no input at all on storylines or anything that you see on television. For that you want to go to the WWF's official website, WWF.com.

From: Chris
Why are they going to bring back stone cold if he`s not 100% until mid summer. Have they been hoaxing us with his injury or is he proceeding quicker with his injury? Great site by the way i always read it and i turn peoples heads with your rumors and even though most of them are wrong i still get the last word in thank you very much.

One word: Buyrates. How many Stone Cold marks are going to be extra psyched for this PPV just because of Austin? Lots. Buyrates = $$$.

From: Jeff
Let me start by saying that your site is by far the most complete and comprehensive wrestling site on the net. Most of the sites that I have vistited have often bash other wrestling sites. They all swear to be complete, but I can safely say, never are. I can see you being a true wrestling fan, you have included numerous links to other sites so that if something isn't included on your site, you are damn well going to find it from on of your links. Let me end this statement by saying that I am far from a kiss ass, and for me to say that your site is outstanding is a tall order!

My comment for today is about the short lived champ, Chris Jericho. I totally agree with you that Jericho is well on his way to main event status. I was so pumped when Jericho won the WWF championship. We could all see the reaction from the crowd when Y2J won the title. It seems obvious to me that if a high mid-carder like Chris could step up and perform at main event status, that he is ready for the push now. I feel that I am the only one that sees the making of the next HBK. One of the finest mic guys and champs the WWF has ever seen. Don't get me wrong, I think that HHH and the Rock are outstanding performers, but they lack the creativity and mic skills of the "man." Their constant repetiveness of the same statements are beginning to remind me of the very stale Road Doggy Dogg. Why not let a character like Jericho step up and bring some new excitement to the championship division? I thought that raw was the best show that I have seen in weeks, because Y2J won the title. I guess my point is to Vince and the boys, get a clue, how many years have they set back and let a guy who was supposed to get a big push, either fall to mid-card status or return to their old federation out of disgust. ie, the Big Show and Jeff Jarrett respectively. So lets use our ultimate power, the internet to be heard. Out with the stale, in with the fresh! Move Jericho to the top. I am sure that I am not the only one who is tired of Rock losing to HHH every damn pay per view.

Thanks Rajah, your site is great. Keep up the good work. Oh yeah, your writing skills and knowledge of wrestling shows the wrestling community that wrestling isn't just for rednecks!

Jericho is destined for greatness one way or the other. Though not a former Champion, we know we'll see him with that Belt someday. I don't know where you're going with The Rock losing to HHH every PPV; you must've meant to say Foley. But I know you were trying to support your point. Backlash won't be the same without HHH pinning Foley. I think that at every PPV, Foley should do an untimely run in during some point, only to be met with a Triple H Pedigree followed by the pin. You know, just to keep with tradition. Sort of like Pete Rose and Kane at Werstlemania.

From: Jibi
Hi Rajah. Please put this in your mailbag.

Why did Vince allow Bret to go to WCW? Did he think Bret was not worth all that money? He was wrong.Maybe Bret's leaving didnt have much effect on WWF but I believe thats coz WWF fans are faithfull to the core. Even if someone like Michaels or Taker left, it wouldnt effect WWF ratings to considerable extent.(except Stonecold or Rock). I mean the WWF chased all competition out of town mainy coz it was a perfect blend of tradition and attitude. It kept changin with time but always maintained some nostalgic elements for its long time fans. Bret was a legend and the most premier superstar in the WWF. Any long-time WWF fan would agree about Bret's contibution to the WWF, not just in the 90's but even late 80's. Also can anybody name one superstar who has taken the ups and the downs like Bret. Hogan , Savage , Warrior, Michaels, Diesel et al . All of them had it easy. Consider match for match , Bret did the job more than any of them. I can remember Shawn's team losing to Hart Family in one Survivor Series but Shawn never did the job. He just walked away. Truly Bret was an asset to the WWF. What Vince did was help WCW.

Nobody can deny the WWF's role in WCW's success. WCW cashed in on the popularity of old WWF superstars. And of them all Bret was the unkindest cut of all. I mean Hogan and Savage were at the fag end of their careers when they left. They were not faithfull to their mentors as they left for money. This was not the case with Bret. He chose to stay with WWF despite a very much better offer from WCW but he got screwed .

The moral of the story : Loyalty wont take you anywhere these days.

Well put, though I pray that your letter doesn't rekindle any Bret vs. Vince debates because I don't have the energy to go through another one of those.

From: shlib5
Hey I e-mailed you like 2 days agao about you sending me the results on Smackdown when you get them well......

That letter was so short and yet there are so many things wrong with it, I don't know where to begin. For one thing, Rajah doesn't go through the Mailbag mail; I do. So if that was intended for him, he didn't read it. Hell, he's not even reading this now that it's up on the site. Second, Rajah isn't here just to send you spoilers and neither am I. The spoilers are up on the site so I don't know why you need them e-mailed to you. Geez.

Hey Rajah,Kayfabe,Grandpa Nice work.

My Question: Which & when was Hulk Hogans last match in the wwf? Did he win? Was it known prior to the match that it would be his last match?

Jerry Lawler portrays his character well and he's damn funny. Thats why he gets a POP. Dont ya think so? (I remember during the 98 KOTR he was getting cheers for wrestling and Micheal Cole claimed he paid the audience to do so (of course he was kiddin)

Lawler is terrific. Hogan's last match with the WWF was at King Of The Ring '93 in Dayton, Ohio (I believe at The Nutter Center, heh) where he lost the WWF Title to Yokozuna. He had only wrestled one date before that in the last 15 months, so although he was the Champion, he was not a major part of WWF TV. After Yokozuna dropped his mighty leg on him and pinned him thus ending Hulkamania, Hogan disappeared and signed a contract with WCW later that year.

People today whine about "dropped" angles like G-TV, and The Briefcase at King Of The Ring 99 (Boss Man did it, people), but what I want to know is who was the photographer that cost Hogan that match in 1993. I thought that angle was going to amount to something, but it was never addressed.

From: Mr. Bad Ass
Hey Rajah I don't know if you saw this or not, but if the Uk card says for instance Light Weight Title Bout between Crash and Malenko. Doesn't that spiol what will happen at BackLash? Thanks and keep up the great work *_*

Nah, it just spoiled what was going to happen on Smackdown.

From: Scott
Hi, Scott here, I have a few things to say:

Why do half the losers who write into the mailbag kiss Raj's ass? He only has the best WWF site on the web. Oh crap. I've just done it too!

I was playing 'WWF IYH' for PSX the other day, and I wanted to ask 2 things about it. All the wrestlers have their own trademark area. ie HHH's is a mansion. Why is the Warrior's a desert? If this game was made now, from your point of view what would these wrestlers trademark areas be?
HHH
Y2J
Tazz
Kane
Trish Stratus
Stone cold
The Rock
Chris Benoit

Why was the Warrior's a dessert? Hell, I don't know. Have you ever heard the man speak? Nothing concerned with him makes sense.

Your answers: HHH- MSG because he has respect for the business and he's the best in the business and MSG is the number one venue for the WWF. Jericho- A rock concert (or a hockey rink). Tazz- A street alley. Kane- Hell. Trish Stratus- The Beach (or preferably my bedroom). Stone Cold- The Hunting Range (or the Budweiser Factory). The Rock- Somwhere in Miami, possibly that store where he buys his $500 shirts. Chris Benoit- A Museum (most likely a museum of natural history).

From: Doggydave
Yo Yo Yo! Dodgy dave here!
Kay, d'you think that it sux that the WWF gave the Big Slow a push, when Jeff Jarrett was at least 4 times the wrestler that slow ever will be? Well, as much as I hate to say it, WCW's had the last laugh.

Anyway, here's my question: Back in '95, what happened to Mantaur? He had a 'Vader' like gimmick and was quite over with the fans.

thanx,
Dodgy Dave.

PS Dyou agree that Aree Jones should make a 'Gourgeous George' style video?!!!

Can't compare Jarrett and Show since because of Show's size he'll always be a force no matter what, but yes, any situation where Jeff Jarrett gets lost in the shuffle does indeed suck.

The reason Mantaur never amounted to anything was simply because he wasn't overly talented, it was a bad gimmick, and he was nowhere near over with the fans. So the WWF cut their losses. Man Mountain Rock comes to mind...

I am in no position to comment on Aree because quite frankly I am afraid of her.

From: Jessica
Hi,

You do a really great job with the site- one thing though- you completely ignore the Hardy Boyz. I'm not just saying this because I'm a fan, the Hardyz are the best team in the entire division. Yet, YOU NEVER EEEEEEEVER have anything positive to say about them. As for the unofficial rankings, what a load of baloney! The Hardyz are the HOTTEST tag team in the division, they are going to be number one, just you wait and see.

Keep up all the great work on an other wise brilliant site.

Can't be number one if you don't have the gold around your waist. You need the belts to be on top and the Hardyz haven't had them since last summer. Their day will come though. They'll get their time.
