rajah.com Mailbag
-By Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW

If you could pick 2 or 3 wrestlers from both the ecw and wcw to be in the wwf who would they be and why.my choices would be...

ECW
1) Raven- i would like to see him reform the flock possible with some or all of the following the hardys, christian, gangrel, and saturn.
2) Rhino-the guy is young, huge, and has a ton of potential the wwf could make him larger then life.
3)Roadkill-I have a bit of a sick fetish for the amish.

WCW
1)Kidman- He could do huge things for the WWF and the WWF could do huge things for him.
2)Sting- He has to spend at least a little time with the WWF,I think a feud between him and the Undertaker would be amazing.
3)vamperio- Again a feud between him and the undertaker could be huge.also I think there would be potential to use him to get gangrel elevated as I think he is greatly underused for the life of me I cant figure out why he hasn't been in a casket match yet I mean vampire=casket i think that's pretty obvious.

Not that the WWF needs anymore talent depth right now, but if I had to give you my top picks I'd go with the Icon, Jeff Jarrett, along with Billy Kidman, and from ECW, Raven.

Does anyone else think Tazz could be a huge player in the WWF. He has the kick ass music and entrance. He has the in ring ability including finisher. Hes not too bad on the mic either. I say WWF let him lose. Who cares if he tosses your guys around the ring with suplexes. Hes not ECW anymore, hes WWF. he can dominant, I say you let him. My opinion, make him hardcore champ, gives him a little push but not to big. Plus i think he could make that title worth something.

I have to comment on the WCW situation, my god have they completly turned it around. Execellent work by those guys over there. Dont get me wrong WWF still dominants, but you have to admit, at this rate in a year maybe two WWF could get some competition.

Do you think Edge is good on the mic cause i really like what he has been doing. He was very funny on the RAW after BACKLASH and who didnt love there little pose for camera???

Did anyone else think that when Edge and Christian made an open challenge that Kane and the Undertaker would walk down and accept. I really thought this could happen until I realized that they wouldnt stick the Undertaker in a minor angle. They would need him in the main event right now.

For some reason I beggining to feel that the Rock should turn heel. Hes peoples champ is just getting a little old. HHH would be a great face, if hes that good of a heel come on. Definatly with DX goin back to their break every rule. How great would that be. i also think it would be great for Dx to recruit some more members. I know big groups dont usually work out but with the large roster it could give some guys a little more tv time. Some guys for it Test? Jericho?( doubt that one the most though) Ecw's Rob Van Damn would be absolutle perfect. Does he not remind you of the great Shawn Michaels? Speaking of which bring him in too. Cuts some promos(hes the best admit it)

Test I'm really beggining to like. I dont know how long this T n A will last cause i think hes ready. I mean yea he hasnt done much mic work but eventually he get a chance. I bet when he comes on I'll be eating my words but who knows. Anyway he has the signature moves and looks impressive in the ring. I say in a few months start the push.

Give D'lo IC run!!!!!!! I know Rajah will like that one.:)

And finally my ranting has come to an end, just wanted to run some things by you, hey maybe your looking at a future columnist here????:) Oh and one last thing, give the Hardys the belts. They are the best team. Plus they will be dead in a couple of weeks so dont wait to long.

Peace, Mike

P.S. I was looking at the mail bag, whos grandpa? is he still around nad most importantly is he really a grandpa?????

To keep my response brief, the Hardyz have a hell of a lot more than a few weeks left as a team, Grandpa has his name for a reason, and yes Edge is good on the mic... but so is Christian. I love their new shtick so much; they were already on my list of favorites, but now they're on an entirely new level. They play their roles perfectly and I'm enjoying them so much as a team that I won't even bring up the Edge & Christian debate. BUT, I can't help but noice that you mentioned how good Edge is without even mentioning Christian and I think that's pretty insulting. For the record, I have actually gotten Rajah himself to admit that Christian is better on the mic than Edge, soemthing I consider a victory since in the past all I've heard from that guy is how they're nothing to get excited about and Edge is better, blah, blah, blah. But I'll let that slide. Because they are one hell of a team and I want to see them with those belts for a long time to come.

Are you guys as sick and tired of all the hatred aimed at X-Pac as I am?

You know, if this were half a year ago, and X-Pac hadn't injured his neck, we'd probably all be firmly behind the guy. Remember when X-Pac and Shane were feuding and they had that match at Wrestlemania XV? X-Pac got some great pops, and that was, in my opinion, perhaps the best match of the night.

Then you have the X-Pac and Kane angle, when they were together. X-Pac got some major cheers then, at No Mercy 1999 when he won the four man Battle Royal against the Acolytes and Kane, and at Summerslam 1999 in the tag match against 'Taker and Big Show... gawd, that kid could F-L-Y. That match has one great moment where everyone except X-Pac are brawling, then X-Pac leaps off the turnbuckle onto the Undertaker to make the pin, that part is incredible.

I just can't wait for X-Pac to become a face, if he ever does. I feel bad for the guy having his mother-in-law die and then go to Backlash and get "X-Pac sucks!!" chanted at him, and then have his face smashed by the ring bell...

What're your opinions on this whole X-Pac heat issue?

X-Pac's injury was long before six months ago but I know where you're coming from. He's not one of my favorites, but I've stuck up for the kid (pun intended) on a number of occasions. I've said it before and I'll say it again: the guy will get over as an Intercontinental Champion. Sooner or later it will happen. I mean he's in the Clique, he's gotta take that belt!

OK, I've been trying to figure this one out and I don't know who else to ask but, why does the WWF seem to go to England more than they come to Colorado. They've been here like once in the past 20 years and that pisses me off because the one time they came here, they did a house show. It was cool, but I want more WWF!

Well it's not exactly next to anything of note. You can't sweep by it like you can in the East Coast with Philly, the Meadowlands, the Garden, Nassau, Hartford, Boston, etc. Colorado just isn't a huge market and although the WWF does try to make it all over the country, they can't please anyone. I'm sure they'll get a PPV eventually, but then, where exactly would they go for Raw the next night? And Smackdown the day after that? Are there two venues very close by that can be easily reached? Salt Lake City (that's far away)? Cheyenne (*!*)? Albuquerque? See what I mean? It's not exactly a convenient area, whereas in other places the WWF can hit Anaheim for a PPV, L.A. for Raw, and Fresno for Smackdown. Or MSG for a PPV, The Meadowlands for Raw, and Philly for Smackdown.

And I'm sure the Rock and HHH don't want to be bothered going twenty minutes in that thin air.

whats up. i've been checking out your site for a few months now and i think it's one of the best wrestling sites out ther. i have one little question that i've tried looking everywhere to find the answer, but i've been unsucessful. the question is "what ever happened to yokozuna"???. does he have any plan to come back to wwf?? is he in a indy league now??? i figured you'd probably be the guy to talk too about this because you seem to know your stuff. wouldn't it be cool to see yokozuna come back as rakishi's tag team partner?!? by the way, aren't they cousins or something??

Yes, they're cousins. I think Rajah has commented on this several times and it's always on the newsboard. Yoko is dangerously overweight, the WWF doesn't want to sign him as result, and most states won't even clear him to wrestle depending on who you talk to. He is currently working with an independent organization (which escapes me at this time) and will be working a series of matches with Tatanka overseas for the next few months.

Simple question, and if someone's already written in with this then sorry for making you answer it twice. What I want to know is before an event, do the commentators know what is going to happen that night. It seems to make sense to keep them in the dark, since that would produce a more authentic response as events unfold that night. Or are they just as big a part of it as everybody else. Just curious, thanks.

No, they know. They have to in order to properly set up the match, speculate throughout it and then justify what ultimately happens and explain the motives of certain wrestlers. The commentary of the in ring action does flow well, as the announcers obviously don't know what will happen move for move. But they have to be informed of the finish in order to present the viewer with the reason that everything is going down the way it is. If the commentators were as confused at the finish of a match as the viewers were, then they wouldn't be doing much of a job.

HI I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT SHAWN MICHAELS. I REMEMBER IN THE EARLY 90'S HE WORE THESE PANTS THEY WERE NOT THE HEART ONES BUT THE HAD SOME LEOPARD DESIGN OR SOMETHING ON IT CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IT WAS OR WHAT IT MEANT.

They meant nothing. Just a design. It wasn't really a leapord pattern, just these abstract shapes with stripes. Pretty snazzy.

hey, just one question this time what's that tatoo that's on Kurt Angle's right shoulder blade?? AND, post this one....cause 3 of my other one's weren't selected...they were put aside because some guy wanted to know if Edge and Christian are really brothers

No, Edge & Christian aren't really brothers, but good childhood friends. Hope that helped. Thanks for writing in!

From: AJ
when is billy gunn coming back?

Give him six more months.

OK, Dan, you didn't really think I'd leave you hanging like that, did you? The truth about Kurt Angle's tatoo is... well, I don't know what is tatoo is of, but perhaps the answer can be found at his official website.

I think the Undertaker is a very under rated wrestler in many peoples minds. Although you could argue he's a 3 time world champion there's many stupid marks who don't appreciate his talent. First he wrestles circles around Austin and to a lesser extent the rock. He cant cut the best promo in the world but it always gets the job done. But one of the things that really amazes me is his high flying ability. Sure Miceals, jeff hardy could pull off better ones but micheals and jeff hardy aren't 6'10 and 300 pounds. And he has a wide range of power moves, decent ring psychology, and will take a pretty good bump. And the thing that really gets me is that the only people who realize this are the very smart fans(ie: rajah). It's just a thing that bugs me a lot.

Yeah, I agree with you completely. The other thing that people don't realize about Undertaker is that this man has been in the WWF what...almost ten years and he's pretty much kept the same "Undertaker" gimmick and thrived with it and stayed as one of the best main eventers in the WWF. Not many people in the business can claim they have done that. Not only that, but Taker has also helped get numerous people over. Just look at Kane, whose gimmick is pretty much a spinoff of the Taker's. It's incredible when you sit and actually think about how awesome this man is, be it as a heel or a face, feuding against whomever.

Do the results of UK PPV's Affect the US wrestling...Like Bulldog winning the hardcore title im only asking because after shane retired the Euro title.. Xpac still fought for it in the UK?

Yes to an extent. Any title changes happening anywhere in the world and regardless of whether they are on TV or not are recognized by the WWF as official reigns. However, for storyline purposes, nothing major usually happens because the bulk of American fans would not witness it. Bulldog winning the Hardcore title did indeed go down in the record book, but looking at the big picture, no one can honestly say it made a huge difference in angles.

What happened to the Headbangers? I know they're in the WWF, but how come they aren't being used? Will they ever get a push? How many matches have they won since December?

The Headbangers are still with the WWF but have really fallen far and fast in the depth charts. A lot has gone on which has gotten them in the doghouse including a refusal to put other teams over as well as complaining about WWFE stock options. Furthermore, after the Bangers re-united, not many people have shown interest. Because of this, I doubt they will receive a push in the near future. To check out how many matches they have won, head over to the rajah.com 2000 Record Book.

hey rajah. whats up? i am a big fan of your page and i watch wwf every night its on with my brother. ok, this is why i wrote in. i have seen every 24/7 hardcore match (attack) there has been. well, anyways, i was at work with my brother yesterday (i work in a fish market in massachusetts) and we were wrestling around. the fish market is the best place to wrestle in the world. it has a huge ice bin that would be perfect for a slam or powerbom and then a pin. there are ladders and shovels hanging on the walls. there is a cooler full of huge bins full of fish and there is also a freezer that you could lock somebody in which would be perfect for a crash holly escape. the best part would be all the fish in the store. most people think of fish as really gross and it would be really humiliating for the loser to have fish poured all over them. as you know, the king of the ring is in boston this year and like any true wwf fan, i tried as hard as i could to get tickets and i am going. so i think this would be the best

Hmmm...sounds like a creative and interesting idea. I don't know what else to say but if you really want to pitch the idea to the WWF, email them at WWFFans@WWF.com.
