rajah.com Mailbag
-By Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW

Hey Rajah and Co., keep up the good work! Great Site. Anyway, I wanted to know why the wwf did not officially release Over the Edge 99'. I'm assuming it was because of Owen's death, which I totally respect and agree with the WWF's decision, but I just wanted confirmation.
PS- HBK is way better the the Hit-Woman!

Yeah, I think it's safe to assume that the WWF didn't want to release the video after the Owen tragedy, especailly with the pending lawsuit from the Harts.

K, love your site. I visit it a lot. I am dissapointed when it isn't updated but I doubt you update every 20 minutes cause that's how often I visit! On to my question. My friend said that when the Undertaker first came to the WWF he was played by Waylon Mercy. Then at the casket match against Yokozuna he was injured. So when he came back against the Underfaker (chainz) he was Mark Calloway and he has been playing the Undertaker ever since. Is this true he said that he read it in a wrestling almanac and that he believes it over you when I told him that one of your mailbags said there is only one Undertaker. I tried to say that in his Mean Mark Callous days he looked exactly the same as he does now only without the tatoos and he had shorter hair. Plus Mankind refers to the same Undertaker in his book that had been feuding with big men (Giant Gonzalez, Yokozuna) as the same one that he fought. Please explain to him that there is one UT. And don't just say, "Well there has always been one Undertaker" please give him an expalnation.

I don't know how many times it has to be said: there was only ever one Undertaker. There's not much to explain. Mark Calloway played the Undertaker at Survivor Series '90 in what was the Taker's first appearance and has played him ever since. His appearance changed over the years because he is a human being and he involved. Do you look the same way you did in 1990? I don't think so. Anything you hear about somebody else as the Undertaker is BS.

Hey! Well Im from good ole Ireland and I was just wanting to say that there is one man in the last 3 years that didnt receive the push he deserves and that is Ken Shamrock. He nearly has it all he has charisma , wrestling skills , he's in good shape and he has a cool gimmick. The only thing that he may lack is mic skills. But I had to say this when you see people like Roaddogg , Rikishi , The Bossman , and Mini-Bossman getting big pushes. It just sucks and another guy who deserves a push is D'Lo Brown!

Only so many people can get pushed to certain levels. Shamrock was on the verge of a more prominent role when he opted to pursue fighting in the UFC again.

I was reading mailbag #25 and saw a letter from someone named Rachel said you were an asshole and you were mean to everybody. That's not true. Everytime I have sent an e-mail to Rajah he has gotten right back to me. I think Rajah has a great site and is not an asshole.

Rajah is many things, but unlike the evil Mr. McMahon, an asshole he is not.

Hey guys, I have a really dumb question, but I've been wondering about this ever since Test entered the WWF. What exactly is the significance of Test's tattoo of the cross with a sun on one side and a moon on the other? I think it's an awesome tattoo, and since he uses the tattoo on most of his wrestling attire, (almost all of his shirts, and now, his pants), I thought that maybe it holds some great importance to him. I know it's like, insignificant, but I'd really appreciate an answer, as it's been bugging me for a while. Thanks and keep up the great work with the site.

I'm sure I don't know or care, but if you wish to know let's ask anyone that does know or has any info on Test's tatoo to send it on in.

Hi guys, I've been watching WWF for around 6 years nowand have rented just about every PPV in the past. I even did a research paper on professional wrestling in 8th grade, so I do know my shit. One day I was wearing a WWF shirt and someone told me, "How could you watch that WWF shit, it's fake". I was infuriated at the sheer ignorance and close-mindedness of this individual. So I asked him calmly, "Do you like movies?" "Yes", was his response. "BUT MOVIES ARE FAKE", I screamed. He never came back to that. Didn't say one damn thing. So people out there, Rajah, Kayfabe, and every other professional wrestling fan out there, if they ever say that to you, do what I did. Let's see how they come back to it. Part of life is the pivotal struggle between good and evil. All wrestling does is simulate that concept in an entertaining and enjoyable way. I use wrestling as an escape form the daily confines of real life. It also enhances the ability of people to improve their imagination. Bless the WWF, and even WCW for their mere efforts to entertain us every week. Sorry for the thesis but they don't call me Truthmaster for nothing. keep up the good work comrades.

Yes, exactly. That's what I've always called the Larry Cotlar school of thought since he's the first one I heard make the argument. You like movies, right? Well guess what? Movies are fake! TV shows too. No fooling. But people still watch them. I wonder why. Could it be they're entertained by them? Imagine.

What does the FTW and the 13 that Taz(z) has on his wrists mean? If anything at all?

F*ck the world. Thirteen is just his supposed "lucky number". Just part of the gimmick.

Hey. You probably got a lot of e-mails on this, but Bad News left the WWF on very bad terms (no pun intended). He said that things were never the same after Vince, Sr. left and he will never work for the WWF again. As he was originally supposed to fight Hogan for the title at WM 4, but was put in that Battle Royal instead. Sapphire, who was good friends with Bad News, was immediately fired after he left. I believe Bad News now competes in Japan along with his Ghetto Buster.

-Credit the LAW

Well, maybe he did leave on bad terms, but I don't know that Bad News can get too upset about the Wrestlemania IV thing. Hogan was going to leave to work on a movie for the summer, so they needed to take the Title off him, and I don't think Bad News was ever slated to that. The tournament was the best way to do that, and we of course know that Randy Savage ended up winning it all (though many say that Ted DiBiase was originally promised the win).

I was reading an email sent to the mailbag. Well anyway someone said that they thought X-Pac should be put into the I-C title race because he has been with the company for 6 years or something like that. Yes i do agree that he deserves an I-C title reign, but i don't think it should be because he was with the wwf for a certain period of time. I think that X-Pac is and was a great wrestler. if anyone watched any of his matches as the 1-2-3 kid, they know he was a great wrestler. i will agree that the X-Pac character has become stale. but i think that the wwf could change it and he could very well become one of the better top wrestlers in the wwf. he was once great and everyone loved him. right now he just needs a little change in his character or even just a good feud to get him back to where he was. i would love to see him fued with another underachieving wrestler maybe Dlo Brown, Al Snow, heck even Esa Reos or however that is spelled. Wouldn't it be great to see the 1-2-3 Kid, Esa Reos, Jeff Hardy, and Matt Hardy in a cage, ladder match, or even hell in the cell match. All i am saying is that X-Pac has a lot of ability. and i think many people should watch some of his old matches before they say he sucks or he should be fired. i think he could become a great wrestler before his career is over. i hope he can anyway.

Hey, finally someone that appreciates X-Pac. I agree that a tweak in X-Pac's character could raise him to new levels and make him a star. He's a high midcarder that just needs that little extra something to take off. I'm sure we'll see him in the Intercontinental Title hunt before the year is over and who knows where he'll go from there.

Me, and my friends got together and wanted to start a little wresting shoe for my small boring town of Willis, TX. Do you know where I could get ideas for a ring... Or a website for such info? Me, (22) and my friends (about 10 of them) have been practicing and practicing for a long time, and figure it could spark something intresting in my little town (or at least lure out the girls ha ha ha...). If you have any ideas... let me know.

No idea. I'm pretty sure there is no website out there that lists the dimensions or materials a wrestling ring is made out of because neither the WWF nor WCW or ECW really condones backyard feds and what not. If anyone has info, please send it in I guess.

Hey Rajah , Kayfabe One Hell of a site! Please put this in your mailbag, Im pleading.

Heres a tough question. Remember Wrestlemania XII. Well after Shawn pinned Bret, Earl Hebner proceeded to give him the belt. At the time Bret was still in the ring. We can see Shawn refusing to accept the belt and saying something to Hebner in an angry manner. Hebner then goes to Bret but the camera tthen focuses on Shawn so I don't know whether Hebner said anything to Bret. But it was only after Bret left the ring did Shawn accept the belt. My question is did Shawn actually tell Hebner to ask Bret to get his @$$ out of the ring? If so was it a shoot ? Shawn is so arrogant.

At the same event Hitman gives his glasses to a kid wearing a Shawn Michaels cap. Was that kid Blade, Bret's son?

I'd have to watch the tape; I really don't know if that's true or not and as difficult as Shawn was at times, I doubt he did that. As for the shades, Bret always gave them to a ringside fan before his matches, but I do believe that at Wrestlemania he gave them to his son, Blade, in the front row.

In the last mailbag I had asked about why Lex Luger didnt pin Yokozuna at Summerslam and I mixed it up with wrestlemania. I wanted to know about Summerslam itself. WHy did the match conclude in a countout ? Wasnt Luger over enough to win he title?

The WWF wanted to drag out the storyline since Jim Cornette tricked Lex into making it his "only Title shot". The payoff was going to happen further down the road, ie. Wrestlemania X. But after the "summer of the Lex Express", Luger's popularity began to fade. He was still over but his pops weren't as loud as before. In 1994 at the Royal Rumble the WWF decided to have both Bret Hart and Luger spill over the top rope at the same time and become co-winners of the Royal Rumble. They tested the audience by announcing each as the winner separately and Bret's reaction was significantly larger. At the TV tapings that followed, Luger stole Yoko's belt and was announced as Champion to again gauge crowd reaction. It wasn't what they hoped for, and the WWF decided to wisely put the Title on Bret Hart at Wrestlemania.

I was reading the current edition of the mailbag (#25) and hit a question about Edge and Christian, when I came to a sudden realization. Don't you think that Edge looks a lot like Joshua Leonard from "The Blair Witch Project"?

If not, oh well - I guess I'm the only one who sees that kind of stuff.

I'll refrain from comment and leave that up for the readers to decide.

WILL DROZ EVER WRESTLE AGAIN? IF SO, WHEN?

Unfortunately, it's very doubtful, and if so it won't be for a long time. Droz still can't even walk normally, so he is a long way from a potential in ring return. Everyone here at rajah.com is behind Droz and pulling for him to make a full recovery.

I have noticed that in past mail bags and elsewhere on the site, whenever you are talking about the WWF veterans, you mention the Bossman and The Bulldog, which is OK, but you always seen to forget Faarooq. He has been in the business just as long as the Bulldog and The Bossman...Just letting you know.

True, Ron Simmons has been around for a long time. It's just that I'm very partial to the WWF and Bulldog and Boss Man have been in the WWF much longer, so I tend to list them instead.

Just a quick question for the mailbag. Why do the WWF call themselves the WORLD Wrestling Federation, when all the wrestlers are American or Canadian, and they never ever do any shows outside of USA, Canada and occasionally UK?? This is frustrating for me as an Australian WWF fan, as I have been following the WWF for many years and have never had a chance to go to a live event. The closest I came was meeting Mick Foley when he visited down here last year. Geez, it's hard to even get to watch Raw every week, since I can't afford $50 a month for Foxtel, but that's beside the point. I'm not asking for Wrestlemania Down Under or anything, but would a Raw in Sydney be too much to ask? I'd be happy just to go to a house show, but if they did come all this way it would have to be for something big, right? I bet there's millions (and millions) of other aussies who agree with me.

Well, besides including this in the Mailbag, there's not much I can do. Email the WWF and get your fellow countrymen to do the same and see if you guys can make your collective voice heard.

Me and my friends cannot think to help us....Who was the British Bull Dog's Tag Team Partner in the 80's????? Please let us know...driving us insane,,lol

The Dynamite Kid, Tom Billington, who many considered to be the better half of the British Bulldogs tag team. Had his career not been shortened and then ended by a severe back injury in 1988, there's no telling how far Dynamite would have gone.
