| rajah.com Mailbag -By Kayfabe and Rajah |
Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.
Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:
1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW

I go to your site as often as possible. It is the best wrestling site
around! My question is reguarding the wrestler Nailz. He and the Big
Bossman had a great feud going in the early 90's (Survivor Series 1992). I
was wondering what ever happened to him and has he wrestled since? Has he
come back to the WWF as another gimmick? Will he ever wrestle in the WWF
again do you think?
I'm not sure about this but I believe Nailz left the WWF after filing a sexual harrassment lawsuit against the WWF (dead serious). I have no idea where he is now or if he has wrestled again, but I believe he was in WCW a year or so ago or was about to join that promotion. Again, I'm not positive on this.
Gee, you mean there's no truth to those rumors about him punching out Vince? You're kidding.

I have started to watch ecw and i have rented some tapes of theirs. I am
always amazed by how good rob van dam is. I remember one match,I think
it was hardcore heaven `99,he was against jerry lynn. It was awsome! H
e did a jeff-hardy-like senton bomb from the top rope into the crowd. M
y question is why does`nt the WWF go after him. If he can have a match
like that with jerry lynn, think what he could do against
Triple H, Benoit, Jericho etc.
My other question is cold the WWf like offer ecw,say $1m for van dam, even though he is under contract?
Yeah Rob is a great wrestler but is probably going to be in ECW for most, if not all, of his career. He is said to be really cocky and not all that great of a guy backstage (ie. he causes a lot of trouble). The WWF can't offer him anything or even negotiate with him if he is under a written contract. If it's verbal, they can. If he was under terms and they offered a deal, ECW could sue for tampering.
Not to mention the fact that he's a pothead and his ECW spotfest style probably wouldn't click very well in the WWF. And oh yeah, their roster is so deep that they have no need for him whatsoever.

I was just checking the old issues of the mailbox and I must admit, you were
pretty good at predicting future story lines, like Jericho coming to the WWF
instead of ECW, and Mick Foley ending his career as Cactus Jack, but it was
funny when you said "Chris Jericho doesn't strike me as a main eventer. I do
think he can mix it up with the big boys but a World Title may be pushing it.
He is definitely I-C title material though." oh well, nobody is perfect.
But my question is: besides D'Lo Brown, Al Snow is one of the most under-used wrestler in the WWF today (and one of my favorite wrestlers), and where he is at now, i really dont see him winning the World Title, but is it possible that he could win the IC belt at all in the future?
D'Lo definitely have some good years ahead of him, especially since he recently signed a new contract extension. However, for now he's been put in the tag team division because both the main event scene and the midcard scene are chock-full of talent. He'd be held back a lot and people would probably be complaining more than they are now about him.
Yeah, I guess I didn't do too bad, but let me sort of defend myself on the Jericho comment. When I made those comments, I really didn't know Jericho all that well at all. He was in WCW for a good few years and I don't follow the WCW show very well. I also heard a lot about certain WWF wrestlers not really liking him that much (no need to mention names, but you all probably know which guys I'm talking about) and I thought with all the backstage politics going on at that time, he would be held back somewhat. Anyway, to make a long story short, I'm actually glad I was wrong, because I think Jericho can not only main event, he could carry the WWF as a face for a short period of time if the Rock were to leave.

I was wondering what the old system was for taping RAW's ahead of their air date, how they changed when a PPV was just on, and when they started airing RAW live. Do you know?
Yeah, I think I know. First of all, RAW was never taped BEFORE a PPV. Superstars was way back in the late 80s, early 90s, but RAW never taped that far in advance. Basically, when RAW was taped, Smackdown was not on and so the schedule resembles what we see today. On Monday RAW is live, then on Tuesday, it would be taped for the next week. And the cycle would keep repeating itself. They'd also squeeze in Shotgun and Super Astros tapings in there too, after each of the Monday and Tuesday RAWs. This was great for the WWF since they would actually have one whole Monday-Tuesday strech off.
Yeah, that's the reason that back in '96 you'd see the same damn annoying guy in the Charles Barkley jersey with the same dumb sign in the front row three weeks in a row. He didn't travel with the WWF or anything, he just went to one taping.

Great site man! Keep up the good work! I have a weird question. I was looking at a picture of Tori the other day and noticed that she had huge man-like hands. I started looking around at other pictures of her and noticed that she has a lot of male qualities such as broad shoulders, big jaw bones, huge knuckles, huge calf muscles, and even a hint of an adam's apple. I came up with two possibilities. One, Tori used to be a man. Two, Tori has taken some muscle enhancers which have given her many distinct male qualities. Can you confirm or deny either one of my conclusions? Thanks a lot!
Okay, first off all I gotta say you noticed the same stuff that my brother (the women of WWF guy who analyzes every little detail about the ladies) spotted too. Especially the hands. He went on and on about that for weeks. Anyway, back to your question, I do know that Tori used to be a bodybuilder several years ago and I wouldn't be surprised if she used male hormones (ie. steroids) to help build muscles. The side effect of that is of course male characteristics, so I'm guessing that's why. I'm positive she isn't a man though.
Question: *If* she was a man, would that make X-Pac a homosexual?

The women in the WWF seem to have one thing in common, they all have
breast implants. Is it required that all the women in WWF or even in all the
wrestling federations to have them? I saw when Lita first came out she was
regular size w/Essa Rios but now with the Hardys she is pretty busty. I also
think that these women are too small for the implants they have, i.e. Terri,
Sable, and a few others. What do you think (with an educated and "non-pig"
response)?
Nah, it's not required but a lot of the ladies feel that the implants are a good investment in the long run in that they can turn around and sell it for a lot more later on. I believe the Kat and Stephanie and maybe Ivory are ladies who don't have implants.

Me an my mate have been having this argument for ages and I know you can tell me the truth. I think Raw is shown live on Monday whereas Smackdown and Heat are taped on Tuesday and shown on Thursday and Sunday respectivly. He reckons that they are all shown live. Which on of us is right?
I reckon you are correct and I also reckon that your mate isn't. Smackdown and HeAT are taped on Tuesdays and aired later in the week.

Yo. Jeff Thomas here, love the site, yadda yadda yadda. I was just watching
the WCW thunder live thing on TBS, just curious, but the crowd was not
moving, yet I heard the familiar sounds of the WCW Revenge game throughout
the night. Have the WCW people been making noises for the crowds for a while?
or is this just a first?
Nope, it's not a first. In fact, both the WWF and WCW have the fake sound system on during some of the shows. WCW just does it a lot more.
From: Mark Hunter
Why don't you and you goddamn staff ever have anything to say good about
World Championship Wrestling? I mean, you say they suck...I love WCW, I
don't like the WWF because every freaking time I tune it in to Raw, I
see the same goddamn main event every week. Please start saying good
things about WCW. Thank you.
A WCW fan in denial. Case closed.
This is RajahWWF.com, genius. It's not a wrestling site, it's a WWF site. If you hate the WWF, why would you visit RajahWWF.com? Geez.

HOW COME KAYFABE ANSWERS SO MANY MAILBAG QUESTIONS WHILE RAJAH ONLY DOES LIKE
5OR6. WHAT IS RAJAH DOING ALL DAY? I WOULD JUST LIKE TO KNOW. THANKS FOR
TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS.
Whoa, isn't it ironic that this message pops up in this edition, the edition where I did MORE questions than our neighorbood glue sniffer, Kayfabe? Anyway to answer your question, Kayfabe didn't want to do rumors and instead wanted to concentrate on the mailbag, so I said yes. Now that he's back to doing rumors, I'll pick up the slack where the mailbag is concerned.
Which isn't to say I'm gone. No, I'll still be the main man in the Mailbag, but after a year, I think it's fitting that Rajah got off his ass once to contribute an equal share of work to the 'Bag. In fact, much like when Chris Jericho entered the WWF to save us from boredom, I'm hear to do the same with Rajah's answers in the Mailbag. And what's wrong with sniffing glue?!

I was recently introduced to the site and think it is great. I prefer to get
my results at your site because there easy to get too. I especially like how
I can get results previous to the match in case I can't watch Smackdown. And
coverage of dark matches introduces me to new wrestlers. Thanks!
Not a problem.

What is the point of Survivor Series? they should make some different kind of match that would involve elimination and all the survivors would have a fatal 4-way match at the end to determine #1 contender. That would be worth ordering!
Yeah, I agree totally. It's just like the Royal Rumble. The fact that the WWF has created and continued to use a unique concept (the 30-person over the top battle royal) makes the event special and fresh and worth ordering
when you come down to it. If they head Survivor Series towards that of a regular PPV, I think fans will quickly lose appeal. I mean what's the difference anyway between Survivor Series and a glorified non-big 5 PPV? Right now, the WWF has a great
thing going with their top PPVs: Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, King of the Ring, Summerslam and Survivor Series. Rumble, King of the Ring and (hopefully) Survivor Series all have associated themes attached to it. Wrestlemania and Summerslam are similar but
convey different meanings. Anyway, to get back at your question, I think as of late they have swayed away from it because the promotion has been too consumed to further individual storylines.

Let's face it. Everyone out there who absolutely cannot stand X-Pac and the Bossman (two of my favorites) are doing nothing but putting these guys over as heels even more. New wrestlers are always teamed with the Bossman to sit under the learning tree of a great veteran heel (with a hiatus in the early nineties, the Bossman has been in the WWF since Wrestlemania FIVE!) X-Pac has also been with the WWF for a while (if anyone remembers how damn good a wrestler this guy was before he broke his neck, you know just how damn good X-pac can be). So why are they hated? Who knows...but put any house show, Jakked, RAW, whatever and if you want Heel Heat, just send one of these two guys in (much like myself disliking the Road Dogg...I am sure he is a great guy in real life, but as a wrestler I just canna stand him). So, go on people. Hate Xpac and Bossman...you are just making them get over even more and thereby making sure they stay with the WWF.
It's pretty obvious why they hate these guys...both X-Pac and Bossman are GREAT heels. They make it seem so real and convey so accurately that they are jackasses, that fans can't resist hating them. I'm not the biggest fan of X-Pac, but I think the guy is talented at what he does. My dad, who by the way is the biggest mark in the world, absolutely
can't stand X-Pac, especially when he gets the better of Kane or any other good guy. That only shows me that X-Pac is doing his "job" right down to the T. I've heard some disturbing things about him in real life, but we don't know that and I can't prove anything so we'll leave that alone. The Big Bossman is much the same. I don't know if many fans know this, but in real life the Big Bossman is one of the nicest men around.
He does loads for the WWF in promotional and charity events and genuinely a good human being. What we see on TV is just them doing their jobs and anyone who hates a PERSON (if they hate the character, that's different) by what they see, doesn't understand the fundamentals of the business.

ok I would just like to say for the record. Reffering to that person who gave
you all the lyrics to HHH's music. When he said "All your stupid rules (Yo,
you keep you're finger off the switch Gunn) All your stupid rules " Gunn is
wrong, its actuall Dunn reffering to Kevin Dunn I don't know what his job is
in the WWF but he does something backstage. And there is another one "Ha, Yo
Dillon, keep your finger off the switch" Dillion? once agian its Dunn. Now
I'm not an obsessed HHH fan. In fact I hate HHH but, his music kicks ass! Any
way just a minior correction there. Keep up the good worl on the site!
Yeah, I'm pretty sure you're right. A lot of other fans sent in the same thing.

I do not know why the WWF dont want to give the title
to Kane. He is a great athlete and he defenitly
deserve it. I hope whenever he wins it that he does
not win it as a heel. He deserve the ovation from the
auddience.
Secondly, to the guy from Australia I think theduke is his name, you can alway buy the tickets over the internet an plan a vacation to the US. I did that and went with my wife to Backlash, and I am planning to do the same thing for Wrestlemania 2001.
I think the reason the WWF is hesitant to give the belt to Kane is his lack of mic skills and the ability to progress storylines by using his interviews. However, now that we have seen Kane introduce
more of a speaking element to his character, a title reign may not be all that out of the question.

aside from Raven, any other names on the move? I see different postings
about such stars as Goldberg possibly heading to WWF or Billy Gunn heading
to WCW? Are there any big names potentially on the move or has that flurry
of activity ended for a while? I saw somewhere that Curt Hennig is trying
to reingratiate himself with the WWF, what is that about, does he really
think he fits in to the new WWF? Yeah, and paisley and plaid are
fashionable and go together nicely too! Anyway just curious.
Billy Gunn is not going to WCW. He is under contract to the WWF and the WWF is not going to release
him anytime soon. Goldberg is said to be rumored on the bubble in WCW because of his attitude but I can't really see WCW giving
him a full and unconditional release. Let's just say he was to be given the pink slip, I would assume the WWF would be very
interested in him. From what I understand, Curt Hennig started rumors himself about the WWF showing interest in him and even has said on occasion
that he is about to sign a contract with the promotion. However, the truth remains that the WWF is not interested in his services in any way. Obviously Hennig
wants to come back to the WWF to finish career as Mr. Perfect but it doesn't look like that will be happening.
