rajah.com Mailbag
-By Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW

Hey Guys, i wanted to know your opinions on the greatest angles and gimmicks of all time.

Gimmick-wise, i would have to say the Undertaker, because back then it was very original, it has (or had) been around for a good ten years, and without the Undertaker, there would be no Kane, former WWF Champion.

I think the greatest Angle of all time would be Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels, or Andre the Giant vs. Hulk Hogan. I know i sound like a huge mark, but if you think about it, people who weren't even interested in wrestling know about WM 3, and the two great wrestlers. For Michaels vs. Hart, just their wrestling abilities were outstanding, and it was great to watch Canada vs. USA.

Kayfabe is missing in action as of now, so you'll only get my opinion(s) on this matter. Personally, for best gimmick and as much as I like the Undertaker's persona, I would have to go with the Goldust character. Something about it was just brilliant and I was a big fan because nothing like that was ever tried or even imagined before. I was disappointed to hear that Goldust and the WWF parted ways last year, because I felt there was still a lot of potential left in his career under that gimmick.

The best angle of all-time surely has to be Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon. Just for the fact that it drew so much money and last so damn long. Of course, the current angle between Kurt Angle, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H is also quickly becoming one of my favorites.

In your latest mailbag, a reader asked what Tazz's 13 meant, and Kayfabe said that it was a lucky number gimmick. I thought it was actually the number of years it took Tazz to get into the WWF, going through the independents and ECW. Either one of you know if there's any truth to that? If not, keep up the great work anyway

Yeah, I've heard that theory bounced a lot too amongst others. I really have no concrete answer to give, but I don't think it's all that important anyway. Whether it is the number of years it took him to break into the WWF, or whether it is to convey his "unlucky and badass" attitude or whether it is just a number he picked really isn't important in the big picture.

1.In mailbag 26 you were debating whos the strongest guy angle wise and in real life, well for now I'm saying Kane is, cause if you look back at the 2000 KOTR, and Raw The next Night(6/25 and 6/26) he bench presses Shane McMahon and Christain over his head about 5 times before dropping them, now both Christain and Shane are, im guessing about 235? both? maybe you could get me the exact weight, but no doubt about it, it takes strength to do that. And also add Y2J. cause that double powerbomb he does, that takes are strength!

2nd:You've been saying that Playboy chose Chyna over Kimberly for their shoot. Now does this mean they are going to do a nude spread of Chyna, or did they just want Chyna representing Wresting in an article or something?

and last, also in #26, you were debating the best tag-team finisher? Well my top 5 are these in this order #1.LOD-Doomsday Drop, #2 Dudleyz-3D,#3.Stiners-They had that move where Scott had the guy on his shoulders and rick would bulldog the guy off the top rope. #4-Hart Foundation-Hart Attack,#5.Hardyz-Twist of Fate/Swanton bomb combo. that can look awesome when done right

Yeah, there are a lot of strong guys in the WWF and Kane is one of them. However, I'm still going with Mark Henry as the strongest currently under contract with Big Show a strong second and Kane likely third. I don't think Y2J can measure up to them even though his double powerbomb does take a lot of strength. We've never seen a Kane try it, maybe he could easily do it three, four or even five times?

It's a nude photo shoot as far as I know. Kim is no longer going to be featured in the same edition.

I just wanted to correct Kayfabe on a question he answered. Kayfabe was asked a question in the mail bag ( I believe #25) about the match between Bret Hart and Stone Cold at WM13. He said that Austin Bladed himself in the match. Well I just wanted to comment on that. If you watch the match carefully, you can clearly see that he was using a fake blood pack. In the match , one of the wrestlers gets thrown into the announcers area (I think it was Stone Cold throwing Hart, but it could have been the opposite way around, I am too lazy to watch the tape right now), you can see The King( I think it was the king, but if not it was one of the announcers, just watch the tape) take a cloth off of a six pack of blood capsules. He passes one of them to Kent Shamrock who holds it in his hand. Austin picks up Bret and starts punching him, then on his last punch he reaches way back and grabs the blood capsule from Shamrock. At this point Hart reverses Austin. Austin is thrown down to floor where the camera catches him beating his head with the blood capsule to get it open and make it look more real. Through out the match Austin carries it in his hand, and every time he goes down he dabs more on.

Typical Kayfabe mess-up. Tsk tsk.

First of all I'd just like comment on the argument about title reigns. Granted Rock and HHH have had alot of titles reigns, some even surpasing greats such as Randy Savage BUT there title reigns havn't been as long as others like Hulk. Do you see what I'm saying? Its not how many titles reigns you have its the length of the reign that really makes a great champ. Secondly heres my question. Why don't you guys post old title histories on your site, of WWF belts such as the WWF Mid-Atlantic belt, and other retired WWF belts? I think it'd be extremely interesting. I have a couple old title lists I have found so if you'd like them I'd be more than happy to give you them. Also you need to post the real LH title history like all the champs before TAKA, ! How many retired WWF belts are their anyway?

We don't have histories of the retired belts because a) a lot of people would have no idea about it and b) the title histories take an enormously long time to create and set up. It isn't just the data that takes a long time to compile but also that we have to put everything into HTML (webpage making language) or everything would come out in a jumbled mess. Also the lightheavyweight list before Taka that you talk about is not officially recognized by the WWF. For what reason, I don't know, so we didn't include those either.

I am sorry for e-mailing you again, but I was wondering if you could please settle this question for me. You may have answered this a hundred times, and if you have I apologize. When the Ultimate Warrior was popular, there was the rumor going around that he died and his brother took his place. I did research on the net, found a couple pages including his own site, and I have found no proof that he died and was replaced. Was it just another "story line" like The Undertaker farting and setting Kane on fire, that I have heard. And will he ever return? Thank You very much! You do have the best wrestling site out there!

Sigh. Now normally I would not put this up because its been answered before in more than one place, but to say it once again... there has only been one Ultimate Warrior. While I'm at it, there has only been one Undertaker as well if you discount the obviously and intended fake Undertaker in the mid 90s. And before I close this off, where the hell did you hear the rumor that the Undertaker FARTED on his brother and set him on fire? I hope you're joking about that one. Ultimate Warrior could return but it will likely be in WCW and a very steep price to Turner. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to happen.

In Mailbag 26, Rajah said he didn't "get" Superstars. Superstars is a show similar to Livewire, but more oriented towards the, ahem, superstars. You know, "behind the scenes" kinda stuff, superstars doing other TV shows/movies. Where I live it is on USA Network Sunday at 10 AM. Now what I don't get is Metal. Is that just a Jakked type show that I don't get? Jakked is on the local WB affiliate Saturdays at midnight (like I watch that.) Is Metal just a jobber show for other cities? Or do they call it Jakked one week, Metal the next? Oh, I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Thanks for the info. Jakked and Metal are the same shows. Only difference is that the matches are in a different order and I think the commentators are different (not sure about this). But the general gist of the show is exactly the same.

Just a quick comment. Please post this. Iwas reading a recent mailbag and someone asked about the 13 for tazz. Well, I met Tazz at a autograph signing and asked him about it. He said that the 13 represents the date his son was born. It lets his son know that daddy is always thinking about him. C-ya!

Okay, cool. Add yet another speculated source for the #13...

I first want to say that your site is a kick ass site. I must visit it 3 or 4 times a day. I do have a problem with this PTC. What is with them? Is there anyway I can get their websit address or e mail address. As funny as it is with Stevie Richards mocking the PTC, it gets annoying at times. I don't know if the wwf is doing the right thing in making fun of this bogus group. I would like to let this PTC have a little piece of my mind. If there is any way I could contact them, please let me know. And WWF should quit adding fuel to a fire they already have under control. Just ignore them and they will go away.

The PTC is just a hypocritical organization trying to get publicity and attention by going after the most up-and-coming form of entertainment there is, the WWF. Their actions are invalid, their claims inconsistent and their motives make no sense. You can visit the PTC website by going to www.parentstv.org, however don't send them hate mail or anything like that. The best thing to do would be to find the addresses of SPONSORS (current or former) of the WWF and mailing them and saying you support the WWF and are disappointed or pleased that they aren't or are placing their ads on WWF programming (whichever applies).

Hey rajah and company i love your site. I have a couple things to comment on regarding Bret "Hitman" Hart(my favorite wrestler of all time). I maybe being a hippocrit for saying this(cause I watch the WWF) but, dont you feel guilty watching the WWF after they screwed Bret Hart? God knows I sure do. Also, do you feel that HBK was in on it? And one last thing, are Bret and his wife Julie divorced? I am saying this because in an interview with Bret he went through a divorce? Thank you and keep up the good work.

Nah, I don't. The WWF *may* have screwed Bret, but it was he himself who basically destroyed his career by being caught up in what happened. I'm not blaming him or anything, I just think that this screwjob goes both ways and you can't sit there and put the blame entirely on one side. In my opinion, I think Shawn was in on it. I've heard various things, but it's just my opinion that he was. And finally, I think Bret and Julie divorced but a few months ago there was talk of them reconciling.

I have been asking many sites how i will be able to get tickets for Wrestlemania 17 (2001). So far none have been able to help me as i have been using your site for someime now i am hoping that perhaps you can help me. I know that the tickets are going on sale on the 1st of November but i don't know what time or what number. I also live inthe UK so will have to account for the time difference. I haev also been told that there is a different number to call for the boxoffice in the UK. Any information would be most appreciative as i am running out of time to get things organised.

As far as I know tickets go on sale 10:00am, Saturday November 11th, not the 1st. You can probably purchase seats through Ticketmaster.com, any local box office in Houston or perhaps even through WWF.com. No one knows the exact details yet because it hasn't been released to the public. Just keep you eyes and ears open for any announcements on this matter.

I was just reading Dave Meltzer's screwjob Survior Series ending from 1997. I knew a lot of the story but got a lot more out of that. It said that Michaels had never apologized to Bret about the Sunny days comment. I remember hearing about a comment Michaels made that should have stayed on the road. Do you know what the comment was? I know this goes back a few years but I was just curious. Thnak you.

Yeah. Michaels basically implied that Sunny and Bret had an affair going because Sunny once said that she wanted to manage Bret or something. Bret's wife heard about this, believed it and their marriage almost ended because of it. The comment was something like "there are Sunny days ahead in Bret's career" I believe.

I know you guys get this a lot, but what a great site! Any who, about a year ago, Jim Ross did an interview with HHH which was aired on Sunday Night Heat. Hunter talked about the curtain call incident and how the office held him back. He used a lot of profanity and seemed serious. I couldn't really tell if it was a shoot or a work. What do you think? Thanks very much.

Yeah, it was pretty much true. The incident is now known as the "MSG Incident" and you can read about it in one of the Wrestling FAQs.

Hey guys...I have a stupid question....stupid as in I know I AM RIGHT, but I have to have proof of my omniscence in print to show my know-it-all brother. Ok, here goes..... was Brian Christopher's (aka Grandmaster Sex-ay's) previous gimmick one where he was gay? I so, NO NO NO!! But my brother insists that at some point he was involved in a plot line where it was insinuated that he was gay. Tell me it ain't so.... prove that I DO know my wrestling!!! Thanks!!!

I hate to say it, but your brother is right. Back when Too Cool was known as Too Much, former WWF writer Vince Russo proposed a storyline that implied that Scotty and Grand Master were both homosexuals had a thing for one another. There were even rumors on the internet that Russo wanted the two to get married at WWF IYH: St. Valentine's Day Massacre. To add even more insult to this, the show was held in Memphis, Tennesse, Brian's hometown. However, the angle fell apart after both Scotty and Brian nixed it and refused to play it out.

I am a specialist in live broadcast Audio and Video. I would live to work for your site by doing live video image video for the pay per view's. I have a system/program where I connect my cable to the PC and it feeds up to 5 pics a second to a private very fast server. it has a NO DELAY configuration witch means if you have a 56k or a 28k modem and it's not super fast it will skip over all the images you miss and upload the one that was uploaded at that time. this means you will not fall behind in the broadcast. It runs off a simple java script and works LIVE LIVE LIVE, no delays here. This is the best image uploader out there and if you have a cable modem it's like watching pure video.

In case you don't know what you just described is illegal and would get my site shut down and could even get those involved sued. As you might expect, I can't take you up on this offer.

i know you do not watch WCW,but do you know what has happened to SID (VICIOUS/PSYCHO). He seems to have completely vanished. I don't watch WCW myself because it quite simply SUCKS. P.S. He would be a good addition for DX. I believe last year Shane wanted him in the WWF.

Sycho Sid is still under contract to WCW and as far as I know is nursing some sort of injury. He came back for one appearance but re-injured himself and is now rehabbing and waiting out the time needed to heal himself.

We all hear that The Big Show weighs 500lbs when he obviously does not, and now we hear that the WWF management want him to drop 40 lbs so how much does he weigh in real life?

The Big Show weighs approximately 410-430 lbs in real life, but the WWF exaggerates his weight (and height) to make him look bigger.

Do you remember when Stephanie McMahon got knocked in the head with a trash can that British Bulldog threw at her inadvertently?Did she get amnesia or was it just an angle?I would really appreciate if you put it in the mailbag.Thanks.Your site rocks.I come here everyday!

Hi i just wanted to know why Jim Ross doesn't comentate on Smackdown, i know that he is the head of talent and i was also wondering how much of a influence he has on the WWF.

JR has a lot of control over the WWF and basically decides who to hire and fire. Of course he must go through Vince first, but the decision is primarily his. Vince just okays it at the end. I think he doesn't commentate on Smackdown because either he doesn't have time for it with his other duties or the WWF just wants to give other commentators a chance or both.

I wanted to know who was the first olympic gold medalist in the wwf, my father says that it was Ken Patera but on tv they say kurt angle i'm not sure who it can you guys help ?

I believe Ken Patera was indeed in the Olympic Games in 76 I think, but I'm not so sure he won the gold medal. I coulda sworn he won bronze.

Some closing remarks:

1. You know I just realized this as I was scanning to see that I did all the HTML correctly, but that rascal Kayfabe, Pete, Mr. Oral Sex, whatever, answered almost every question I did in his own annoying way. Wouldn't it have made sense for him to answer NEW questions so we could have addressed more comments, questions, etc.? But no...he had to be smartass and go back and fill in his own answers for the ones I already took care of! The travesty I tell ya.

2. Please in the future send only one question per email. It is extremely frustrating getting huge honkin' emails when we get so many. Unfortunately, we don't have the time to read, research and answer everything so one question per email makes it a lot easier on us. In the future, any emails that are outrageously long will be deleted upon first viewing. Sorry, that's just to make this section progress as smooth as possible.
