rajah.com Mailbag
-By Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW

At the moment everyone seems kind of vague about the condition of the Bulldog. Will we be seeing him in a WWF ring at any time in the future or is his active career over?

At this point, Davey Boy's condition is still very much up in the air. The reason everybody is vague about it is because no one, probably not even the Bulldog himself, can say for sure if he'll ever be back. Bulldog went into drug rehab (which Vince McMahon paid for) earlier in the year. At that point, the WWF writers had no angle to bring him back into. I believe shortly after he finished his rehab, he was injured again. To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure on his current status. He has always said that his dream is to wrestle as a tag team with his (now teenage) son Harry in the WWF, but right now, Davey Boy is not on the active roster. It seems as if the WWF is reluctant to bring him back, but hopefully the Bulldog still has one good run left in him.

Does kane have an official web site? If so could you tell where to find it. By the way ,rajah.com is the best wrestling site on the web .Believe me i have looked.

I don't believe Kane has an official website. It would kind of go against his character anyway. For a list of other wrestlers' official sites, click here.

Just thouht you should know that Hogan wrestled on the European Tour of 1993 a full two months after the King of the Ring. Hogan defeated Yokozuna by DQ on every occasion when Mr Fuji came in and broke up the three count. His last ever match in the WWF was August 6th 1993 at Earls Court in London, England, I know that beacuse I was there. Thanks!

This is interesting because common thought is that Hogan was turfed from the WWF after June's King Of The Ring. However, Hogan was merely taken off TV, and honored the rest of his dates on the European Tour. Several months later, he was signed by WCW.

I love your site man, I visit it like 15 times a day! My question is for like backstage interviews and stunts.... Do you think the WWF might get away from doing all these realistic stunts and start using technology to give the product more of an edge?

I don't know what you mean specifically, so it's hard to answer The business is always evolving, as is technology, so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the WWF increases their use of technology.

Hello Rajah and Kayfabe. I have a couple simple questions that will take less than a paragraph to answer. My question is for Rey Mysterio and Juventud Guerrera. They are 4 feet tall and considered legitimate superstars. Neither one of them looks like they are older than 15 so could please educate me and tell me their ages....Oh and Kayfabe, why and the hell did you choose that as your screen name? No offense man,but when I first heard it I thought it referred to a girl.

Rey Mysterio and Juventud Guerrera? I'd normally say I have no idea, but while reading up on Juvy's latest "incident", I think it said he was 24 or 25. As for Mysterio, I have no clue. Write us with the answer if you know.

About the Kayfabe name: Back off, Jack! Why did I choose it? Hell, it's an old wrestling term. I thought it would sound cool. The thing is that to me it doesn't have the slightest male or female connotation attached to it. A few people have said that they think it sounds like a girl's name, but I've never heard of a girl named Kayfabe! I don't know how it sounds feminine at all. It's solely a wrestling term, so how can it have a female connotation?

Why is Christian so damn good?

Greatness cannot be explained. It should just be accepted as fact and marveled upon by all. Christian has always reeked of awesomeness. He was one of my favorites before he and Edge would get the oppurtunity to talk, and everyone told me he sucked. Well I hope they're all eating their words right about now.

Hey Rajah (and Kayfabe for that matter)
I was reading an old wrestling magazine and it had something about the wrestler Sabu being banned from wrestling in America. Can you shine some light on this with your fantastic wrestling knowledge?

Hey Dave (and Mike for that matter)
I'm far from an expert on Sabu, ECW, or anything he's been associated with in his career, but I think I vaguely know what you're reffering to. I'm pretty sure he was involved in an angle where he was banned from wrestling in the U.S., but it was nothing more than an angle. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hello there. Congratulations on the best wrestling site on the web etc. I have seen a lot of questions about Triple H's music, but I was wandering if you knew the start of Billy Gunns music. Everywhere I look, it says - "I'm an ass man, yes I'm an ass man." But on the WWF music Volume 4 CD, it really sounds like this - "I'm a nice man, yet I'm an ass man." Please PLEASE post this on your site because I have sent in three other e-mails that never got posted

Oh boy, another music argument. These are always petty and generally pointless because the lyrics aren't published and no one can provide solid proof to back up their claims. It also doesn't matter at all, and may be interpreted ddifferent ways by different people. As for my interpretation, I always thought it was "I'm an ass man, yeah I'm an ass man". That's not concrete; that's not factual. It's just what I've always assumed it to be. We'll leave it at that.

Hey, I was just wondering, in Mailbag #28, a question was asked about a Yokozuna/Austin match. This match took place before SummerSlam 1996, in the Free For All Show. My question, were the ropes supossed to break on purpose? Or was it all an accident? I think that it was an accident, where Austin would move out of the way from the banzai drop. Wouldn't it of been awesome if Yokozuna actually fell on Austin?

I would be inclined to think it was a work because Austin knew to get out of the way, and Yoko laid down for the three count. The match was also done on the pre-show, not during the event itself when a delay would have been necessary to replace the ropes. Also, neither man was hurt. I don't have the tape, but I'm sure if you were able to watch it, it'd be easy to tell if it was a work or not. If you see Yoko repeatedly tugging the ropes before it happens, then it was obviously a work.

Hey Raj or Kayfabe! I was reading your latest edition of the mailbag. I have to answer this question because I have seen a number of people ask it. In the N64 game, Wrestlemania 2000, people wonder why Vince takes the world title away. The answer- you have to win the Royal Rumble, if you don't, then watch what happens. And also if you lose the KoTR, Vince will take away your tag partner and pair you up with someone of his choosing. Please post this, It has to be read! Thanks for reading.

OK, terrific!

Is Brutus the barber beefcake going to be a star like intercontinental champion or ever greater, eventhough I am not his fan, if not of his nose injury? .
I think he can get really well with the crowd. He has been really hot since after he team with hulk hogan to face zeus & Macho man. After that, Survivor series, Royal rumble, when his music hit, the crowd erupted. But his best match or best moment was when he suprised everyone when he defeated Mr perfect , follow by putting the sleeper on the genius, the crowd erupted.
Here's the question. Has the wwf ever thought of making him famous, if he is not hurt because not only he get well with the crowd but he is indeed a talent. That 's a fact.

English that good was. Brutus was scheduled to win the IC Title from Mr. Perfect at Summerslam 1990, but suffered the nose injury you speak of only a couple of weeks prior to the event, and had to be replaced by Kerry Von Erich. With Hogan as his buddy, he could have remained IC Champion for a long time, and possibly even moved up the card even more.

Hey raj and kay,
I live in Syracuse NY, Not far from the Carrier Dome, where the Syracuse Orangemen play. The Dome is enormous and would be perfect for a PPV or at least a Raw. The WWF has tried to negotiate deals w/ the Dome presidents, ect. but they denied them saying that the WWF has no educational value, but will let the rolling stones and Sting perform there. My question is how can I fight this and what are the odds of them changing there minds. Is there anyone associated w/ the WWF that would be willing to help me? Trust they would make a finacial killing if they were to show up there.

It's a good question, but I'm probably not the guy to ask. I don't know what the odds are that they'll change their minds, but the only way you'll get them to consider is to assemble as many people as you can to flood them with (polite) phone calls, e-mails, faxes, and letters.

I read somewhere someone making up an angle where Hulk Hogan returned to the WWF, and would fued with Kurt Angle for the WWF title(battle of the "real" American heroes). Hogan would somehow win the title at Royal Rumble from Angle, and then go on to face the #1 contender at Wrestlemania, Stone Cold Steve Austin! This would be the biggest main event in history. I thought that it would be funny if this happened, Hogan would definitely be the heel, but he would be hated by everyone on the roster. Even people like Shane, Vince, HHH, Benoit(all heels) would do interviews about how they hated him. Austin would beat him at Wrestlemania, and Hogan would finally retire. I know that this will never happen, but it would be funny.

Your last sentence summarizes the entire thing perfectly.

I want to know why is ti taking Bret Hart so long to come back?

He sustained a very serious concussion last winter when Bill Goldberg kicked him in the head. He still experiences frequent headaches, and had difficulty during normal every-day activities for a long time. He still isn't fully recovered, and his doctor has still not cleared him to wrestle.

Recently we all saw Lita win the Women's title. She hasn't ben in the WWF very long so my question is this; Is this the shortest time that it's taken for someone to come into the WWF and win the womes title and if not who has this honour? Well that's almost 2 questions but it's also almost one.

The history of the Women's Title is sketchy. When the WWF signed Alundra Blayze (Madusa) in 1993, they reserected the Title just to put it on her. Lita, I believe, debuted in February and won the Title six months later. Even in recent memory, others have won the Title after only being with the company briefly. Ivory debuted with the WWF in February 1999 and won the Title in June of the same year. The Kat debuted in late August of 1999, and won the Title in December, less than four months later.

In mailbag number 28 someone said they are Rey Misterio's biggest fan and would love to see Misterio in the WWF. I have to ask why do you want Misterio in the WWF? Essa Rios, who has the same talent as Rey Misterio, is the best talent in the WWF and he is forced to job on WWF Metal! So, if MIsterio goes to WWF he will be a jobber. Whoever answers this mail, do you agree with me?

Somewhat. I don't know if it's fair to say that Rios and Mysterio have equal talent. The reader didn't say Rey would or wouldn't be successful, they just wanted to see their favorite wrestler enter the WWF.

Hi. I was just wondering whether there were any guys in the wwf with real bad blood between them...I heard X-pac and Rock got into a fight and HHH and Jericho didn't like each other...but any other superstars who currently don't get along?

X-Pac on Rock have no heat with each other. Trips and Jericho don't either, though when Jericho first entered the WWF, Trips was one of his biggest critics. Most guys get along with each other backstage. Some say that The Rock and Road Dogg do not like each other, but they're of course both professionals and never let that affect their performances in the ring against one another.

From: BrockY2J
In your last mailbag, someone wrote in wanting to clear up the fact that in a certain match between Ken Shamrock and Steve Austin, Steve Austin did not use a blood packet, but that he actually bladed. You agreed that Austin did Blade and that there are no such things as blood packets. Now, having friends in the Indy circuit, I know all about blading and I know that most of the time wrestlers use it to make their injury seem more real. But isn't their something that's called a blood capsule that is usually bitten down on so that it looks like the wrestlers mouth is bleeding? I know awhile back, during the HHH and Jericho feud, Jericho was being held back by DX while HHH hit him in the face and stomach. When he got hit by HHH and fell to the mat face down, you could see that he accidentally dropped whatever was in his mouth onto the mat. Of course, he quickly tried to pick it up and place it back in his mouth. This incident sticks out because I remember that night it was all over the wrestling newsboards about Jericho dropping the "blood capsule". At first I had thought that the referee handed him a blade, but when I saw the thing fall out of his mouth I knew it couldn't have been a blade. Besides later that night everybody, I also think it was mentioned on this board, was calling it a blood capsule. I guess my question is, is there a difference between a blood capsule and a blood packet? And does a blood capsule actually exist, if not then what do you think Jericho dropped out of his mouth, was it a blade? I had asked my friends and they think it's just a bogus rumor, because they definetely don't use them.

OK, that's different. When I said "blood packets" don't exist, I was referring to the Austin/Bret match where Austin bladed his own forehead. Wrestlers will never use the alleged blood packet to give the affect that they are actually bleeding from their face. "Internal" bleeding is obviously different. I hope no one out there actually believes Jericho bladed his tongue or his mouth to create the effect of spitting up blood. That's just outrageous. He used something; whether the technical name is a "capsule" or not is irrelevant. Just remember it this way: if a wrestler appears to be bleeding externally, from his skin, he has bladed. If it's coming from inside his mouth, he has not bladed, he's used a "capsule" of some sorts.
