rajah.com Mailbag
-By Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW

Hi dudes. I think kayfabe is a really bitchin guy, but what happened to grandpa?

To make a long story short, the Retirement Castle lost its internet connection and Grandpa disappeared. Actually, he just decided to quit, but he's still adored by all the readers and is always welcome back.

why do all the commantators in the wwf say hardcore holly had held the wwf intercontonental belt when he had not your site rules and you should make t shirts

When Holly was Sparky Plugg, he came very close to winning the IC Title. During a 1995 match with IC Champ Jeff Jarrett, Double J executed a bridge suplex, but failed to get his own shoulder up. Both Holly and Jarrett had been pinned, and the Title was held up. The next week, Jarrett defeated Holly in a rematch to regain his Title. Holly was never declared the Champion, but was very close. The announcers simply mention it to endorse Holly. It didn't technically happen, but that doesn't really matter because no one will call them on it.

Hey guys. I think you guys run a great site and have a nice multimedia section of ECW. I was reading mailbag 30 (and 29 too) and kept seeing repeatedly people debating over why Edge's finisher is a stupid and lame. I agree in all aspects that it is and can understand why he doesn't use it anymore. I have thought of a great way he can improve his finisher. Since he has been a 'chair' fanatic in recent months, he should use it, planting the opponent on it or some other foreign object. But anyway, my question is in need of answering. People say that the Outlaws were the greatest tag team in the nineties. I disagree, because the Outlaws never had a solid tag team finisher, except for that spike piledriver, which was rarely ever seen. In my opinion, that honor should out to three teams in the early nineties: the Steiners, Money Inc, and the Quebecers. Heck even throw in the Head Shrinkers (Samu and Fatu, not Sionne, b/c he sucked). What do you guys think? Do I make a point here? I remember Kayfabe saying something about tag team members shouldn't really have individual finishers, and that the Outlaws never had any real teams to contend with. Thanks for reading, take care.

A finisher doesn't make the team. You can have the greatest finisher in the world, but not get over and have no success. It doesn't mean you're a good team. Lo Down might have the best (OK, it's VERY arguable and I like the 3D more myself, but stick with me for the sake of argument) team finisher in the WWF today, but they sure as hell aren't the best team. Besides, of the teams you mentioned, they didn't even have tandem finishers! Money Inc. didn't have a real finisher, and the Steiners often finished it with Scott's solo Frankensteiner. The reason I said the Outlaws were probably the best tag team of the decade is because they by far had the most success and were hugely over for a long period of time, though it's true that they didn't have much competition. Then again, longevity hurts the Steiners (WWF-wise), Money Inc., and The Quebecers. For the record, the Outlaws did use the spike piledriver to often finish opponents.

Rajah mentioned that it was Paul Levesque, because he has dropped the Jean part of it and is going with just Paul.

in the last mailbag someone asked for info on droz when he got paralyzed i was there when it happened. i was in the nose bleeds perfectly across from the corner that d-lo was in. it was in the middle of smackdown and about three minutes into the match when d-lo did his usual head snapping "you beta recognize" thing when he lifted droz up about halfway threw and started running to early. then he tripped over his own feet and he sharply fell to his knees and droz's neck snapped to his right and right then when i saw and heard that sound i knew he was hurt. droz fell face first with his neck still to the right and d-lo was still on his knees with his eyes blarred open in shock then he look at teddy long and covered droz and long counted then long called for help and for about 20 minutes the emts got him out of the ring while people in the front row shouted "YOU F$%* UP" i left then so i am not sure of any other details after that but i hope i shed some light on his paralyzes

Not much for me to say. It's a tragedy when a wrestler is injured like that in the ring. Thanks, Dom.

I was just wondering why X-Pac barely ever dose the bronco buster any more and when he dose why dose he almost always miss?

First off, the move is pretty outdated and its popularity ran its course a year ago. He often misses it now because he's a heel and when he misses it the crowd will pop as much as it did when he was a babyface and he connected with it.

Hey, sup? you guys have the best wwf site on the internet. anyways, i have this question about mick foley. this has been bothering me for a while. ok i read mick foley's book "mankind: have a nice day" and in it, it talks about the boiler room brawl between the undertaker and him at summerslam 96. foley said that they taped it but i can't seem to find where the tape ends and the live match begins. plese help thanks.

I haven't watched it in years, so it's impossible for me to pinpoint the exact time, but I believe all the Boiler Room/backstage stuff was pre-taped, and the live action began only when they fought down the aisle toward the ring.

Yes, they are indeed married. They've been an item for about a year now, though I believe they got married only a couple of months ago.

Hi I was jsut wondering with a quick question, Even when a Raw is live they are able to bleep the swearing. Is it prepared for or what? Thanks alot great site

I'm sure that in some instances, the censors are prepared beforehand, but just like any live TV show, RAW has a delay (probably three seconds) for that reason exactly.

Who do you think is the greatest heel in wrestling history? I personally think it's Ric Flair because of the way he conducted business in the NWA. He got on the mic and said his thing and got the job done, 15 titles. I also think Shane Douglass was a pretty good heel, where does HHH and The Rock fit in?

It's an opinionated question so there is no right answer, but even then it's impossible to judge because there have been so many different eras and there are so many different factors involved. In terms of the whole package, it's hard to argue against Ric Flair. Shawn Michaels as always been a favorite heel of mine, as was Randy Savage, and Mr. Perfect. And in terms of lifer heels (guys that you'll just about never see go face), Ted DiBiase and Jeff Jarrett were two greats. I thought Jake Roberts' heel run was phenomenal, but it didn't last long, so does he count? I'd be remiss in not mentioning the evil Undertaker. Then there are so many that drew so much heat from the crowd based on anti-American type angles like Sgt. Slaughter and the Iron Shiek. And what about Vince McMahon? He has to be one of the best heels of all time. Like I said there are too many factors to answer that any one man is the "greatest heel of all time".

Hey, This comment is for Pete. I listened to Opie and Anthony when they were in the Boston market on WAAF. I was a daily listener, and even met Anthony on a number of occasion (He lived up the street). When they were fired from WAAF for a harmless April Fool's prank (They announced over the air that Boston 's Mayor Tom Menino was killed in a Florida car crash with an underaged girl. Priceless stuff) They moved to your market(NY/NJ) They came back to Boston briefly and TRASHED WAAF, and it's listeners because they (WAAF) were unable to hire them back. The "DJ" they were tea-bagging was the same asshole they both tooled on daily. Syndication?? I hope the fuck not. Stern is bad enough without those 2 rip off clowns. Keep up the good work. Buddy

Thanks for the compliments. I don't really know what to say. I listen to them sometimes just because at times they can be very funny. From hearing their show in New York, I can tell you they do talk about their days in Boston from time to time and I've only heard them say good things about their Boston listeners. They just hate WAAF, but I don't think they hold anything against their listeners up there. Just so I can tie this into wrestling without completely boring 99.9% of those reading this (too late), O & A did have Stephanie McMahon on their show the week before Survivor Series. And I missed it. Damn.

I have a comment for the person in mailbox #30 who claims Chyna use to be a guy. Yes, she does have some male characteristics, but I imagine that is from past steroid use. I think we all know she is female, and I suppose if anyone still has doubts, they can always ask HHH. However, I do think she is going a little crazy with her personal appearances. I am a Chyna fan, and I'm getting tired of seeing her on everything. I think she needs to calm it down, before she wears out her welcome.

My question is whatever happened to Bart Gunn, and what was the story behind his boxing match with Butter Bean? Was the outcome fixed, or was it legit?

Thanks, and I love your site.

The Gunn/Bean showdown was legit with no predetermined outcome. Of course it didn't take long for the professional boxer, Butterbean, to knock Bart senseless. Shortly after, Bart was turfed from the WWF, and last I heard went to Japan where he co-held the Tag Team Titles (for I forget which promotion) with Vader. I might be confusing my facts on that last part, but I do know that he went to compete in Japan.
