rajah.com Mailbag
-By Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW

Hi Rajah or Kayfabe.

Listen I've got a legitimate wrestling question for you that I want answering. A while ago I sent a perfectly reasonable question to this very address with regards to Diamond Dallas Page possibly joinig the WWF. I was in no way nasty or negative about your well-endowed website in the letter at all, but it seems that to get in the mailbag, you have to be 100% stupid or ask a question that has been asked about 87540 times before. Are you guys afraid of answering tough questions and comments sent in by readers or something? Yes, questions like is Lilian Garcia as lesbian and oh by the way what are the lyrics at the start of Triple H' theme.

Anyway my question is in regards to World Championship Wrestling and you people slating them at every opportunity you get. Before you go jumping to conclusions, I am a WWF Fan, my favourite wrestlers are the greatest Tag Team of all time, Edge & Christian and watch Raw, Smackdown, Heat and Metal weekly. I also watch Nitro too. I am from crappy old England and I know my stuff when it comes to the wrestling aspects of the business, the shoot parts of the business and the commercial side of the business.

Like I say, I'm a WWF Fan and will probably always prefer them over WCW, but I must say that WCW is a pretty cool organisation too. You only have to look at the genuine talent and ability that some of the workers posess over there to wonder why they are what they are. Take for example, the class of Lance Storm and Rey Mysterio Jr., the work ethics of guys like Diamond Dallas Page and Booker T (who is so much better than The Rock) and the legendary status of guys like Sting and whooooooo!!!!! Ric Flair. I know that WCW is marred by countless backstage incidents and certain wrestlers pure laziness but I think that guys like cott Steiner and Bill Goldberg posess so much ability, it is unbelievable. After all, Austin is just like these guys, remember how poor Jeff Jarrett got screweed around. And no, he doesn't have WWF Blood in him. Jarrett is happy in WCW, where he is being recognised as the great worker that he is and being rewarded for it at the smae time, by being placed in the same league as guys like Sting and earlier in the year, the whooooooo!!!!! Nature Boy, Ric Flair. Sure, I may be speaking the night after going to some Thunder Tapings, but I think that WCW is a great federation. Like I say, I visited Thunder Tapings and I was on my feet applauding the magnificent ability of guys like Booker T and whooooooo!!!!! Ric Flair because they are just as good if not better than The Rock, Triple H etc...

So I ask, why the constant jibes at World Championship Wrestling. I know that you are WWF Site and that deserves respect. But surely if that is the case, then why not leave WCW alone or just talk about them in the manner they deserve, which is a positive one. Your site is excellent by the way. I don't really care for the columnists anymore, this new bunch, particularly the late Jennifer Stevens aren't really knowledgable in the world of pro wrestling.

I'm not quite sure how to reply to your letter because I don't know who you're addressing specifically. I don't make "constant jibes at World Championship Wrestling". I have stated in the past that I don't really follow their program closely because that's true, I don't. It's not because I disrespect their workers. I've just never found it to be as satisfying to me personally as the WWF product is, so I stick with the WWF.

I can understand your anger towards the internet and wrestling fans in general for berating WCW the way they do, because sometimes even I become nauseated with the constant putdowns. There are people on the internet that bash WCW WAY more than Rajah and I ever had. Just because we don't follow it or don't enjoy it doesn't mean we don't despise it. I'm rather indifferent towards it myself. But I'm glad they exist because like everyone says, competition is good for the business as a whole.

I think the thing people bash most about WCW is the company itself. The fact is that it has been run in an extremely incompetent matter. The hierarchy is in shambles, and WCW is merely one more offbranch of Turner. The WWF is run more professionally because there's only one guy at the top, and that's Vince McMahon. He is the definitive boss. In WCW there are several levels of mangaement and no one ever seems to be on the same page. The WWF is like a family in a way because everyone that is there is there because they love the product and they love what they do. As Triple H stated in a recent interview, in WCW, the TV guys might just be someone who got demoted from another division of Turner and are embarassed to do a "wrestling show". It's no secret that morale has been low in WCW for quite some time. That's not a knock; that's a fact.

I like a lot of the workers, and I don't think it's them that most people have a problem with. Ric Flair is a legend. Jeff Jarrett is one of my all time favorites (all I said is that he will be back in the WWF one day, and I stick by that), and the talent of Sting, DDP, Booker T, and others cannot be denied. Again, I do not take "constant jibes" at WCW, so I don't understand why I'm the problem.

As for the reason your mail may have not previously made the Mailbag, that is simple. After each edition of the Mailbag, we are flooded with hundreds of letters. We don't have time to go through them and analyze one by one which are the most important and insightful and deserve to go in. We do read all mail, but things are posted on an "as we get to them" basis. Whether or not it makes it to the Mailbag or not depends on a number of variables including when it is sent, when we get to it, how much space is left, has a similar concern be addressed before, and a little bit of luck, among other things. To a certain extent, it's almost random. It's a complicated process, and we can't possibly please everyone and post all the mail we get. We also try to stay away from longer letters (not ones like yours that actually do make a point), and the "rules" clearly state to please not ask more than one question. We like to keep things simple and easy to read, and a long list of questions gets very messy. This goes for everyone: do NOT take it personally if your question does not make it into the Mailbag. Just be patient and send it in again.

Thank you.

Dear Rajah/Kayfabe, What do you think the problem is that Jackie isn't pushed like the rest of the women wrestlers? She is the best female wrestler in the federation-better than Ivory, Lita and even my favorite Chyna. She is pretty, takes bumps very well, and busty- like the WWF likes the women wrestlers to be. Her mic skills aren't the best but she is better than Trish Stratus. She gets dissed so bad on the polls of your web site, I think she is better than what the polls are saying. What do you think WWF is going to do with her? I hope they don't release her.

She does happen to be very talented in the ring, but that always isn't the number one criteria for being pushed. She is on the lower end of the depth chart right now because she just doesn't bring the crowd excitement or generate a reaction like a Lita or even newcomer Molly Holly does. Ivory gets a plus next to her name because she has very good mic skills, a lot of enthusiasm, and she has a great gimmick going for her right now that makes it easy to incorporate her into angles and get her TV time. Trish is more of a valet then a wrestler and gets on TV that way. The only way I see Jacky becoming a more significant character is if she were to become a valet. Until then, I think she'll stay in the same situation she seems to be in now. Don't worry about her getting released though; I don't think the WWF has any plans of letting go of one of their only true female wrestlers. For the record, the WWF has not totally wasted Jackie. She is a multiple time WWF Women's Champion, and has held the Title as recently as earlier this year.

i was just wondering if u could answer this question as it never seems t o be mentioned or no-ones ever noticed it. When the film gladiator came out, the WWF was hyping that Kurt Angle was in it. i went to see it and he was no-where to be seen. Did i miss him or was it cos i live in the U K and the UK version was edited? i'm positive he missed a RAW cos he wen t to the premiere but on the following Smackdown they said he was in Eng land promoting a PPV, when i know that he couldnt of been cos he was on smackdown and the PPV was on saturday!!! What the hell happened?

It's true that the WWF did have Angle hype The Gladiator earlier this year, but it was never advertised that he would be in the film. Angle merely attended the premier of the movie in L.A. and missed a RAW (I believe the night after Backlash's April PPV- check the Record Book) to do so.

Hey Rajah and Kayfabe. I have a question that has been driving me crazy. I know for storyline purposes that Rikishi was revealed as the driver who ran over Austin at last years Survivor Series. But I don't think that he was actually behind the wheel since he wasn't even in the WWF at that time. I was just wandering if you know who may have actually driven that car. Was it even a WWF superstar? I could have sworn it was Billy Gunn. If you know I would appreciate it.

The whole thing was a stunt. The person driving the car was not a wrestler, and the person that was shown getting hit by it was a stuntman- not Steve Austin. I have no idea who actually drove the car, but it doesn't matter because it was a stuntjob. Just like I don't know and don't care about the identity of the stuntdouble that was hit with the car.
