rajah.com Mailbag
-By Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW
Vegas - AQUA

Hey Rajah and Kayfabe. Good site, keep up the good work. I know you are a WWF website, but this question has been nagging me for a while. Why was Mark Madden fired from WCW? I heard it was for "Inappropriate Comments." Any way you can clarify? Thanks!

Basically, Mark Madden has a bit of a problem with saying things he shouldn't. He got in some big issues with Dallas Page when he implied that Page was all about himself and that the Insiders were just a cheap imitation of the Outsiders, etc. Madden also apparently made some nice comments about how lousy WCW actually was in interviews that he gave outside the company. Needless to say, Madden is not a prize-winning announcer (and he's extrmelyy with other things), so he was given his walking papers soon thereafter.

I recently visited your website and was very impressed with how much you know. I was wondering if you new who the ORIGINAL 4 Horsemen were?? And another thing, my friend and I were betting on when www.wrestlingplanet.com made its debut? Do you happen to know what year?

Short and Sweet: The original horseman were Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson, and Tully Blanchard. Originally they were managed by James J. Dillon..and he gave them their name.

Just one question: Is it me or are the WWF rings bigger than WCW rings. Every time I flip it over to WCW, it looks like the wrestlers never have any room to operate, and in turn makes them perform awkwardly. In the WWF the rings look bigger and the wrestlers look alot more comfortable. That's it.

Good eye! The WWF rings are substantially bigger than the WCW playpens, and they have looser ropes to boot. This creates a much bigger environment overall.and a little elbow room is enjoyed by all....except for indy wrestlers on tryouts that aren't used to it....

Vinnie!!!... Oz-miester!!!!!!..... Deisel!!!!!..... Yo Cutter, what's up? Sorry, had to rant. I thought I would make your life a little more bearable, I do hearby proclaim myself as the El Numero Uno Vegas Fan!!!! No, really I mean it. Seriously...... Hey quit laughing at me darn you. *jumps up and down like crash holly* Don't make come whoop you. Anyways, as to the whole Cougar/Bear thing, my thoughts (or more accurately the Cougars thoughts): "I smell a bear up there.... Screw you guys I'm going home. And I'm gonna find a nice clawless, fangless deer to munch on!!!!" Hope that clears up the proceedings. :-) I don't reallly have any questions for you, but I thought I would give you some info. For all the questions about, "what about so-and-so Lame angle/gimmick/wrestler" I think you should point them to Wrestlecrap.com. This is one of the best wrestling history sites i have ever seen, and it is incredibly funny to boot. And as a disclaimer, I am not in any way affiliated with Wrestlecrap.com, I am just a big fan. There is lots of stuff there to read, and lots of incredibly funny pics and stories. Later..... Vegas Fan El Numero Uno Berimon

Like I need to explain why this letter got in....it's the wrestlecrap.com plug of course. Seriously, after your done on this site..head on over for some laughs. Tell 'em Vegas sent you.....they'll get confused.

Vegas is the man and I bet a lot of the real loyalists of the site, especially a certain part, respect the man they call Vegas...long live the RS...anyway, my question... Isn't it true that the WWF used to (or maybe still do) have online spies that go into public forums to see what the fans talk about? Do you think they still do that? And do you have any inside info on who may have been spying here at Raj's? You guys rock, and of course I know that Vegas guy, I am still trying to figure out who the hell Pete is. Maybe Kayfabe

Well, that's the rumors. I think the WWF does keep a beat on popular internet opinion, and they may even use some of the ideas. As far as people being hired as "internet spies"...I doubt it, even though it's not out of the question. As far as who might be an internet spy, Weakner, Sawan, and John C. get my votes....it's just too obvious.

Hi Vegas
Great to see you back on the greatest wrestling site of all , even though I am missing the message board of old times ( sigh ) BTW the Bear will win every time!!! Here is my question Why Russo was considered a "booking genius" in his WWF days (Internet community at least ) and was such a "booking failure" with WCW ? Was he under too much censorship with the Turner Bunch ! ? What's your opinion ? And remember : Don't be a Pick , be a Pick Your friend The Pickster

Well, Russo rode the wave in the WWF. There his ideas were fresh and new. By the time he left for WCW, Crash TV was over.... I'm pretty sure that the "censorship" of WCW wasn't really the major problem. The problem was a lack of censorship...from Vince McMahon. I'm willing to bet that for every 8 ideas that Russo came up with, Vince altered or scraped 7 of them. In WCW, Russo was like an ADHD child in a candy store, and no one was passing out Ritalin.if you catch the scenario. In short, he became a flop because he was unchecked in one regard, and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say overchecked in the area of content and angle progression.

Ok, first off your site rock and as a HUGE WWF fan I find it to be the best fan-based site around. Secondly I get p*ssed when folks write in saying hey to Rajah and Kayfabe and miss out poor ol' Vegas. You guys are ALL great and I'd like to say that before anyone else dares discount Vegas!!! Ok, I wrote last time but I did more than 1 question so sorry for that. I have a question for you, it's about finishers in the WWF. Don't you think WCW rips off too many moves that WWF has used for so long? I mean it's perfectly legal, but I think that Kidman using the "Unprettier" that Christian uses is terrible, what about Booker T's Book end and stuff! It's not cool at all, even the Facejam is just an X-Factor!!! Well that's what I gotta say, oh but one more thing. Who cares about Grand Master Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty's married lives? But just for the record Scotty does have a wife and kids...
Thanx a lot if you use this guys, you know us people over here in Scotland like our wrestling!!!

Well, since I think I'm making it pretty clear that praising me will be no means affect your chances of ending up in the mailbag....heh, heh. Well, I think Grampa once said, "wrestling copies wrestling." Factor in that and the fact that the WWF stars that use such moves are by no means the first to do them, and you've got a wash pretty much. I'm more turned off by the fact that instead of creating interesting characters, WCW often sees it fit to mimmick WWF stars or mimmick their own gimmicks of the past.but the WWF does the same. All in all, it sucks, but it's a wash.and that's my judgement according.. *strikes gavel like Judge Joe Brown*

Hey guys great site! Do you think the wwf will ever have a barbwire match or any other Japanese gimmick match? I remember hearing about an explosion match that would have taken place at last years wrestlemania that was thrown out between xpac and kane which would have been interesting

I think that the WWF will go just as far as they have to and not one step further. Those types of matches hit somewhat of a niche market, and the WWF will probably always go after the mainstream market more by packaging itself in a way to gain such market. Now, if the market for wrestling almost all moves in that direction, expect to see as much barbed wire as Rock and HHH interviews once the WWF realizes it. For now, the C4 explosives will stay in the indies and foreign countries.

Hey whats up Vegas!Uh Rajah and Kayfabe are cool too.

Well anyway this question is for any1 who cares to answer it.I caught this as something odd.Ok you know how Rikishi was revealed as the driver that hit Austin.Well it seems like The WWF just kinda dropped that angle. They are just actin like that never happened. We all know that an 'acomplice' was revealed as HHH.But the thing is J.R. is billing HHH as the persn who hit Austin. When actually it was Rikishi that did it (well not really but in the story line) why the hell are they saying that HHH did it I mean he helped out, sure, but seriously they are just billing him as the driver like the whole rikishi revealing never happened.please answer this and tell me why they are not acknowledging Rikishi as the driver anymore.Post this please.

I think that the WWF was a little underwhelmed with the reaction that Rikishi got. I'm assuming that they figured they could push a few more hundred miles out of Rikishi in that angle, but it was not to be. For me, it had little to do with Rikishi, but the fact that they tried to create a racial tension angle again left a taste in my mouth worse than that time that I drank that tea I drank when I came home from a week at the beach.it had been left out on the table the whole time. Needless to say, unless you are writing your own angles.or a Clique member, the WWF will not push you if you aren't producing the reaction they want.

in the 33rd edition of the mailbag vegas made a mistake about TEST (the greatest big man ever, my reason for that will be evident in a moment). I am from his home town of Whitby, Ontario (for anyone who cares Whitby is part of the gta [greater toronto area] if anyone thinks that TEST is from toronto he is not) and TEST was not "ye old security boy for the crue" as stated. In an article for our -insert dirty word here- local paper TEST told the reporter that he was not a security gaurd for motley crue. he was, however, a bouncer for a club (the name escapes me) that motley crue played at during his tenure. that is how the gimmick came about. so in answer to the question is TEST has gaurded motley crue but as a bouncer for a club not motley crue. you better get your beer back.

Well, crap, I've actually read that story before, and I apologize. For some reason in my brain, I misread the initial question and thought you were talking about the character of Test.not the man behind the gimmick. I apologize, and when you go back for your beer tell him Vegas sent you.. While he's laughing at how pathetic of a threat that is, grab your beer and some Pop Tarts on the way out the door.

What ever happened to Dustin Runnels? Internet rumors spoke of the whole breast implant incident (although I never really believed it) and others said he left due to injuries and the fact that he was devoted to his and Terri's daughter Dakota. So where is he, and why isn't he on TV?

It was copyright infringement and injuries...but he's back now. See WCW for upcoming Dustin angles...maybe even some with his father.
