rajah.com Mailbag
-By Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW
MTR - PURPLE

Note from Rajah: I changed MTR's color from orange to purple because a lot of people commented that the orange was hard to distinguish from Pete's yellow. Not that it matters, but depending on if MTR likes the purple, it may or may not switch again in the future.

When is WWF Tori going to return to the ring ? She is my favourite women from the wwf and eva since Molly Holly unmasked her on sunday night heat I've wondered were she was ?

Well here is the deal as far as I know. Tori has been traing wrestlers in the Tough Enough program. That is where they chose so many guys and girls to live together and train to be wrestlers and have it all taped and at the end one guy and one woman get deveopmental contracts. I think Tazz was working with them too but still doing all his normal tv duties. I guess they just decided to end the whole ninja thing and act like it never happened.

Hay guys, great site and all.(Note: Have I just turned into a coffee-fetching guy) My question is What has happended to the Mean Street Posse? I'm not a great fan of theirs and I'm fairly sure there in Memphis but with the recent Angles with Shane facing his Dad and his faction at Wrestlmania and Big Show at Backlash I was expecting them to turn up at least one of them.I mean these guys are friends. You would think that they would help him when he is facing big odds. Sure the MSP probably have the worst WWF record outside the Brooklyn Brawler but they have never shy'd away from a fight and have always followed Shane.Where are they?

Now this is one I can really sink my teeth into considering I was just living in the Memphis area and watching Memphis Championship Wrestling and Power Pro Wrestling. Yes indeed they were sent down to Memphis to work on the wrestling skills and let me tell you they got pretty damn good I kind of wish they would be back on tv sooner than later. Anyway they went to Memphis and still kept in touch with Shane who would give them direction. They became the tag team champions and any two could defend the belts. Well one night Joey Abs had a shot at the Southern Heavyweight title and was not there for Rodney and Pete Gas and they got real beat up and he was not there to help because he was in the back getting ready for his match. Well he got beat up after his match and they just sat back and watch and things got worse from there. Eventually they turned on Abs. They lost the belts for a week and won them back and later on Abs went on to beat Steven(William) Regal for the Southern Heavyweight belt only to lose it to K Krush(K Kwik) a week later thanks to help from Viscera. Well down the road a little longer Rodney and Gas split and had a nighly entertaining match that saw several and I mean several low blows including one to the ref. Afterwards they agreed to stay friends but not be a tag team and walked off with ice packs down below. Later on Rodney changed to Rodragous and became PPW Tv Champ and Gas won the PPW Heavyweight belt. Well then Lawler quit WWF and PPW lost the WWF Developmental guys because they stuck with Lawler. Rodragous is still in MCW and Gas was just sent to Puerto Rico. Abs is still in MCW too. I have seen them live and they can work a crowd and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I hope they make their way back to tv soon.

Update: As was revealed over the past few days, all three members of the Posse have now been released from WWF contract

hey one, hey all. i remember back in the spring of 99, the WWF had a "pilot" of Smackdown!, in which the Corporate Ministry was introduced, and the main event featured a Austin/Rock vs. Taker/HHH tag match. Now, for a long time, I assumed that this was to make up for the RAW lost due to the untimely death of Owen Hart. Then I realized that this happened between Backlash and Over the Edge. And Hart fell to his death and OtE (RIP Owen). So my question is, why did the WWF have the original Smackdown! in April, and then not have another one for almost six months? Thanks a lot

Okay here is the reason for the Smackdown pilot in April and not another one for six months or so. Basically UPN was interested in doing Smackdown for the fall but they wanted the WWF to do a pilot to show on UPN to see what the ratings would be and reaction would be. Plus it gave the WWF a chance to see what kind of taping schedule they would have to switch to. Back then they did a live Raw and the next night taped the next Raw and then two weeks later do a live Raw and next night tape a Raw. Basically the pilot got good ratings and everyone was pleased so then they had to of course finalize the deal for Smackdown to start in the fall. There were never plans to start it right after the pilot.

Hey Rajah, Kayfabe and "flava of the month" MTR. I just want to know if you guys agree with me that a cross-promotianal ppv between WWf & the new WCW would completely suck. When Vince first purchased WCW everyone (Me too) was going psycho about the idea. But back then we all thought that we'd get to see matches such as Goldberg vs Austin, Booker T vs the Rock, and Big Poppa Pump vs Taker. But know the card would probably be more like Big Show vs Austin, Eddie Gurerero vs Chavo and DDP vs Y2J. I really hope that they hould off on this for at least a year, 'cus if they had a WWf vs WCW ppv now it'd dissapoint everyone and be a total squash for the WWf guys. Well, that's my two cents, see ya, V-MAN

Flava of the month? I won't go there. Anyway I don't think they will do any major cross-promotional events any time soon. If they do they may do just one match or something where a WCW guy challenges a WWF guy or something. They are going to hold off on any dream matches because well it would suck to do them right off the bat. Plus they do not have all the major stars of WCW under contract and may not sign all of them. So if they do one just soley based on WCW vs. WWF it may suck like you said but don't look for them do that. Vince is smart. Trust me it will all be good. Of course there are rumors that the July PPV maybe a cross-promotional one seeing it called Invasion and all plus the poster has a split pic of Shane and Vince but we will have to wait and see what happens.

when the original nation was formed it had savio vega who you mentioned but also had that skinny tag team who were also known as pg-13 and i think were from possibly lawler's wrestling fed. in the south that he had and as far as non-wrestling they also had that lawyer guy clarence mason (last name might have been something else i can't remember) who was i guess suppose to be like johnny cochrane, i think there were some other guys too but i can't remember. Also Owen Hart miss him great wrestler, and pearl river plunge Ahhhmed Johnson were also in it briefly

Well I knew I would miss a couple people when I answered that question in the last mailbag. Savio Vega was in the Nation but I have no recollection of PG-13 being in it. PG-13 is a team from Memphis. Jamie Dundee aka J.C. Ice is one half of the team and the son of Bill Dundee who is big in Memphis. I knew that they were in the WWF briefly but I had no idea about the Nation thing. Are you sure they were not part of another faction involved in the gang wars? Well like I said I was not watching all the time during that time period so I am going on what I am told at this point. I totally forgot about Owen's Nation run. Geez. I don't think Ahmed was ever Nation though but I guess he could have been. Geez I should have done more research last time.

Whatever happened to former wwf comissioner jack tunney what was his actual role as he never appeared on tv (to my knowledge)and how and why did he leave?

Well I am not sure what happened to him. If anyone has that info send it in for the next mailbag. Now as far as his role he played the part of the president not commissioner. This was before it was known storyline wise that commentator Vince McMahon was the actually owner. Tunney was on tv from time to time to make various decisions about titles and matches and pay per views. It was just an on camera role. He was never in real power as far as I know. I don't exactly remember why and how he left so if someone else out there knows send it in. I am interested to know. I guess I missed that somehow. I just remember him being in charge and the next Gorrilla Monsoon being in charge.

Hi guys, keep up the good work on the site I hope everything goes well in the future for you. Now to the question! I'm one of the many WWF Fans, or should I say fanatic from the UK and me and my friends was having a debate the other day! I hope you can answer this! Has the WWF banned the wrestlers from using the "piledriver" as a move? Please settle this argument

Well at one point it was all over the internet that the WWF had banned DDTs and piledrivers yet we were seeing a lot of DDTs still. Well then there were people in the WWF saying they knew nothing abut it but I think for the most part it is become obvious that the WWF no longer wants the wrestlers doing piledrivers including the tombstone. I don't think it is officially banned but they are highly encourage not to do it without permission. We still see DDTs so those are okay I guess.

Hey guys, great site. Anyway, I thought I'd just send a certain guy a message of congratulations, Mr "Unknown Moderator," MTR. Congratulations on getting the mailbag job, although Vegas was the man, and you've got a hard act to follow. Anyway, have you ever thought about world domination? Message Board Moderator, Mailbag Slot, what next...?! Anyway, best of luck with your new role :)

Thanks for congrats. I know that I have tough shoes to fill but Vegas has confidence in me that I can do it. I have never thought of world domination until now. It actually sounds kind of cool now that I really think about it. Nah. Too much work involved. See you around the forums.

Hi Rajah, when is the original 4 vs 4 survivor series coming back?It used to be my favourite pay per view. U get to see different guys teaming up. The warriors vs perfect team & so on. but after 1997, everything change. The pay per view end up like summerslam & Wrestlemania, every title up for grades. Can't they give the champion a break for a ppv. I bet people will love to see Stone cold steve austin lead a team, triple h, rock or undertaker lead a team with a team name. The winners wrestle again at the grand finale. That will be great. Isn't it?

Do you know how bad Kayfabe and I would love to see the old matches come back. I think we talk about that every year. Unfortunately I doubt we will ever see a whole PPV full of those matchest ever again. I think that they just put one or two in to make the old school fans happy but unfortunately the majority want all the titles on the line and what not. Kind of sucks because they could really have fun with feuds and what not with teams. Imagine Austin, Triple H, Regal, and Angle vs. Undertaker, Kane, Jericho, and Benoit. Anyway it won't happen no matter how much we want it to. Now Kayfabe used to have an idea for a match involving the title. The WWF title could be on the line during one of the Surivor matches and it could change hands if the champ was pinned but could change hands again if the new champ was pinned. It was a neat concept but I doubt we will ever see that great Kayfabe idea ever happen. Shame too because always liked the idea.

Hello, Here's a quick question. Whatever happened to Demolition? As a kid, I remember they were around a good four or five years. Then, they just disappeared (At least that's how I remember it). What was the reason for the break up? I know Crush stayed in the WWF, but what happened to Ax and Smash? Also, were any of the three members related to each other?

Well lets see if can help you out here. Crush was brought in because the man playing Ax was getting kind of old and having health problems and this was a way for him not to have to wrestle so much. Well Demolition just ran its course I believe Ax was released but Crush and Smash were still under contract. Smash became Repo Man. Remember that gimmick. If not check out www.wrestlecrap.com. Needless to say that never worked and he eventually left and went over to WCW where he was nothing more than a jobber. Crush had some success but alas later on ended up in WCW where he was part of the n.W.o and eventually part of the popular Kronik. Ax continued to do Indy dates and at one point was in court with the WWF over the use of the Demolition gimmick which is owned by the WWF. And no none of the three are related.

How did Owen Hart(RIP) start getting called the "Nugget"?

After the Survivor Series screwjob Bret Hart left the WWF and brother-in-laws Davey Boy Smith and Jim Neidhart followed. Owen stayed in the WWF. Shawn Michaels and Triple H during an interview said that Owen was like that last nugget of feces that never flushes and that you have to flush again for. Well the fans started chanting it and it stuck even though I bet a lot never knew. In fact Mick Foley's kids used to chant it thinking it was a good thing. They loved Owen. They never knew it was bad.

hello i missed out alot of action .so i request you to give me a brief about rock'suspension , freindship of austin and triple h,austins championship victory your's friend rocky

That is a hefty request but lets see if I can do it briefly. Basically storyline wise Vince suspended the Rock for his own good so he would not get beat up night after night after night. What is really going on is the fact that the Rock is filming a movie right now. They decided to suspend him instead of doing an injury angle. Vince somehow managed to make the two people that not that long ago hated each other to form a team of sorts. Basically who else do you want on your side than the guy that took you out for several months. Austin's win was tainted by the fact that it took him and Vince to beat the Rock. Basically Vince came out and helped him and thus the heel turn. I hope this helps. I did leave out details because I don't want to get long winded.
