| rajah.com Mailbag -By Kayfabe and Rajah |
Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.
Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:
1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW
MTR - PURPLE

Hey all,
I was browsing Jake "The Snake" Roberts' official website, and he has a
lot of harsh things to say about Chris Jericho, even calling him "Jeriblo."
Do you guys know what his problem is?
Which one? Jake has a million problems. I don't know what his beef specifically is with Jericho, but he tends to be bitter at a lot of today's stars in general.

Whats up fellas? Just wondering what you think would have happened with
the storyline, if Stone Cold and HHH still had the belts at the time of
HHH's injury?
It's hard to say. Luckily they were booked to drop the Titles in the match he was injured. I still think that Triple H would have turned face over the next couple of weeks and main evented King Of The Ring against Austin.

Has the legendary Lou Thesz ever been in the wwf or wcw ?
He was in the old NWA, long before anything resmbling WCW branched out from the NWA.
From: DoddManWalkin
It is so obvious the main event will be Austin Vs Taker who else would stalk him + Austin threatened him when he was after Debra. There is no other superstar in the wwf that would make a worth opponent for taker unless they bring in a new face which is unlikely. Its True Its damn True
Keep up the wicked work
Wrong.

this isn't really a mail bag email but i gotta comment
on Paul Heyman.
Paul Heyman is the BEST commentator since Jesse the Body Ventura. He so damn funny! he reeks of awesomeness!
I'll always hold Heenan, Ventura, and even Lawler in high regard, but I love Paul's work thus far.

Is Jerry Lynn related to X-Pac? They are both from Minnesota, not to mention very much alike in the facial feature dept?
Nope, not to my knowledge.
From: Mark A. Taker
i dunno wether you have any facts on this situation. if not can someone
(maybe all three of you) put forward your opinions on the following RELATED
questions:-
how long do you think taker has left as an active wrestler? and do you think
when that time runs out he will stay as the commissioner or somethin? plus
how do you think they will finish him?, HHH beat cactus jack in his final
match but cant taker go out on top????? i would like to hear your views
from Mark A. Taker (see what i did there? mark a taker?, a taker
mark?, i kill me sometimes)
That's an interesting question and one I've pondered before. I haven't come up with much. I'm obviously not close to him, so I don't know how much time he has left. It could be nnie months, it could be three years. It all depends on how he feels and how he holds up. I don't know what the right way to have him leave is. I think that's something that will have to be decided when he's about to hang them up. It's not as if Foley's exit against Triple H was planned a year in advance. That decision was made after Foley had long made it clear to Vince that he was ready to retire. To my knowledge, The Undertaker hasn't expressed this to anyone yet, therefore it's too early to start planning the details of his retirement.

In the March RAW magazine there was an interview with Vince McMahon in which
he is asked "Are you looking forward to becoming a grandparent?" Vince goes
on to say that he and Linda are both excited. Can we assume that Shane
McMahon's wife, Marissa, is pregnant since she was taken off television (WWF
Livewire)? It obviously isn't Stephanie because she has gotten physically
involved in matches since the interview.
Sounds logical to me. Go Shane!

Great site! Keep the good work going. My question is related to the European title in the WWF. I want to know how many Europeans are there in the WWF today. Also we have seen many Non-Europeans hold the belt. So does it hold any significance & why is it named the European belt even when Americans or Canadians can hold them? Thanks.
Wrestling has tendencies to name titles after geographical territories. The US Title, the North American Title, even the World Title and the Intercontinental Title. Then there's the European Title. It has nothing to do with the nationality of the wrestlers contending for the Title.

Hey, Whats Up? Great Site... I would just like to ask a question...
Who are the people making The Hardy Boyz wrestling wear? More importantly, I
would like to know who makes their thingys on their arms... especially
Jeff... And are they on sale or anything? Where can you buy them?
I believe Matt and Jeff actually design their ring attire and Jeff makes the "arm thingies" for lack of a better term. As a kid he used to make them out of pantyhose, but now that he's a big wrestling star I would hope he has access to some better quality material. Since they're his own creation, I doubt they're on sale anywhere.

I went back and read every mailbag right from number 1(mainly because im sad
but also cos its been so damn long since you up dated the mailbag! hint hint)
and i found this quote from Kayfabe in mailbag 20.....
"I think [The New Age Outlaws] should split but we don't need to see them
feud again. That's been done before. Just have them go their seperate ways.
Billy Gunn would make an excellent Intercontinental Title contender, in my
opinion."
Well i just have to say that Billy Gun SuX to the maX
Peace out
Ah, someone finally called me on it! During his original push, I supported Billy Gunn. I figured they could have done a lot worse. Man, did I turn out to be wrong. Yes, Billy Gunn has deteriorated quite a bit in the ring, but he's always had that good look, and coming off his popularity as one half of the unbelievably popular Outlaws, it made sense to push him. Keep in mind this was in early 1999 and was long before the WWF had as deep of a talent roster as they did now. There was no Jericho, no Benoit, no Angle, no Tazz, no Raven, no Guerrero, no Rikishi, no Saturn, no Malenko, no Albert, no Dudley Boyz, no Regal, no Credible, no Lynn, no Rhyno, not even a Crash Holly, and most pressing, no Haku! As far as the options went, Billy Gunn seemed like a harmless choice. My how times have changed.

Hiya.
(insert huge suck up positive comment about rajah.com of your choice here)
I have a question. Obviously, since I'm writing to the place to get answers to questions.
Anyway, I was watching an Summerslam '95 (so much wrestlecrap, so little time) and lowly annoucer Vince (as opposed to kick-a## Chairman Vince refer to Burger King several times in relation to Lawler. Now, this is not the first time I've heard of these references, but I was wondering if there was some basis for it? Was there an incident involving Lawler and the fast food company? Or was it just an insult to Lawler.
No, it was just a common cheer the fans used to get under the skin of Lawler. Only an insult, and nothing more.

Hey Rajah, love the site, keep up the awesome work.
Is it me, or is there any real point in having DDP revealed as the Stalker, other than introducing him into a big-time storyline? Also, I wonder what DDP's wife Kimberely must be thinking about all this? I doubt she would be too happy with her husband stalking after another man's wife. I'd be interested to see if she shows up on camera anytime soon.
Sadly, the WWF ruined the KOTR by eliminating Jeff Hardy last night. There was no reason for Angle to win, since he's already set for the big event with Shane MacMahon. When will the WWF wake up and stop holding down the Hardys with second-rate titles, and let them run wild and dominate like they can.
Nobody's holding down the Hardy Boyz, first of all. They're considered in the top 15 to 20 guys in the company, pretty good for guys who have yet to impress anyone as far as their personalities go. I love them and all, I'm just saying they have a long way to go and there's no way they should be considered 'dominant' talent yet. As for Kimberly, I think logical progression will see her getting involved, most likely as retaliation by the Undertaker, who should be looking to show DDP what it's like to mess with somebody's wife.

Hey, whats up mailbag people? Rajah and whoever else
is doing it these days. Great site, blah blah blah, on
to the question.
Okay, after a short sabbatical, I started watching WWF
again with SummerSlam '98, which had WWF Champion
Austin against The Undertaker. I believe fully loaded
had Austin vs. Undertaker vs. Kane and the next PPV
which I think was Judgement Day had Undertaker vs.
Kane w/ Austin as the referee. After this was the
Survivor Series for the title where the Rock was
crowned WWF Champion and this elevated both Rocky and
Mankind to main event status. After this was I think
the Rock Bottom PPV etc.
Now, my question was, before Rock and Mankind and even
Trips to some extent became main eventers, who filled
the top tier of the WWF with Shawn Michaels departure?
When I bagan watching it was Undertaker and Kane but
who else before them, or did they main event beginning
after Wrestlemania? Anyway, sorry to drag out such a
simple question, and thanks for answering it if you
do. Great site.
After Shawn retired, Austin and Foley main evented the next two PPV's, in an extension of the white hot Austin/McMahon feud. After that was King Of The Ring, which featured Austin vs. Kane and the famous Undertaker vs. Mankind Hell In A Cell Match. That took them up through Fully Loaded, which you mentioned.

Hey Rajah and Millertime Rebel. Oh yeah, I gotta mention the best
maillbagger here, Kayfabe too. Anyway, my question relates to when Owen Hart
and Yokozuna became a tag-team. I remember it was a real big thing then when
Owen was going to announce his secret partner, and everyone was in suspense.
Well, after he announced it, the cameras scanned the crowd and cam upon a
sign that had both Owen and Yoko's picture on it and something about them
being a powerful team (I don't remember exactly what it said, but that is
close.) Anyway, I'm wondering how the hell did this person know that
Yokozuna was the partner? The Internet wasn't big, and I don't think it was
ever actually released by mistake that he was it. Thanks, and keep up the
good work.
Hey, after that, I just had to be the one to take your question. I actually just watched Wrestlemania XI, the show where Owen revealed Yoko as his mystery partner, and I don't recall seeing a shot of that sign in the crowd. Perhaps you saw this on a show shortly after this because I don't see how a fan could have done that. I also don't know why the WWF would show a sign like that the night of their debut as a team, since it would kind of undermine their own surprise.

Question: What happened regarding some type of sexual
harassment between Pat Patterson and Michael Cole?
Nothing. It never happened.
From: Crackman
I just was watching some of Wrestlemania 15, when I noticed this guy in the
audience. I have seen him on TV at every wrestling event in Philadelphia,
whether it be WWF or ECW. He always wears a Hawaiian type shirt, and a Straw
Hat. He always has good seats (always is shown on camera, and always about 3-4
rows from ringside). I was just wondering if you guys know who this guy is. Is
he the infamous Dave Metzler, or just some lucky fan who gets these good seats?
I believe that the last time the WWF was in Philly, there was a match involving
ex-ECW guys ( I think the Dudley's) and I think they gave him a nod or
something.
The next few letters are all from foreigners stemming from complaints by a British reader last issue. I've already given my take on the situation, so I don't see fit to respond, but I did figure they deserved to have their opinions posted, so here they are:
Nah, definitely not Meltzer. I don't think Dave would be caught dead marking out for ECW shows. Besides, I'm pretty sure he resides in California. My guess is that it's just some loyal Philly superfan and the Dudley's, always willing to involve the crowd in the show, acknowledged him as a result.

VEGAS IS GONE?! NOOOO MY FAVOURITE AQUA MAN! MTR, doing some nice work to get me over this loss anyway.
just a little pointer out thingy.. in response to gab120012's question about the jake/sting coal miners glove match/snake bite of mailbag #37.. i can only direct you to wrestlecrap.com
the snake never really wanted to bite jake, so he held it up to this face and pretended like it was biting him.. pretty sad when you think about it.
also, another comment (sorry.. heh) um it was kayfabe who said that a lot of australian or german fans would kill to see a wwf show.. well im australian and we would! to that british guy who was complaining.. if you dont like it, tell them to come to australia, or some other deserving country. You obviously dont deserve it.
anyway, just my ramble, thanks for that.
From: John
This is just a comment on what Jon said in the last
Mailbag issue. He said that the UK PPV's are nothing
more than glorified house shows, and that they only
come twice a year, etc.
I just wanted to say that we in Vancouver, B.C., Canada get shafted even more. We get one show a year, never more, never less. It is always a house show(not even a glorified house show), and while it doesn't cost $125 Can. to go to(it costs $55 Can.), you should be lucky that there is a TitanTron, title changes, and angle developments. NONE of those take place at house shows, yet all we get is house shows. I'm not knocking anything he said, they were all valid points, but I would rather live in England and have a chance to go to 2 shows a year with stacked cards as opposed to one house show a year that may not even feature the top stars nor a WWF Title Match. At least the WWF gives you that. We had a PPV in '98, but only a RAw last year(a terrible one at that) and we will probably never see a RAW or a PPV again for another 3 years at least. I think you should be a little more grateful for what you have.
