| rajah.com Mailbag -By Kayfabe and Rajah |
Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.
Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:
1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW
MTR - PURPLE

Hey guys. In the previous mailbag. You commented about Triple H only being
the second guy to go from being the WWF world champ, down to being the WWF
Intercontinental champ. Well, i just thought i'd point out that you can add
another to that list. Now that Kane has won the WWF I.C. title from Triple H,
he has become the third mad to do so. (If i'm right, Kane did hold the World
title for one night, I believe he won it at a PPV, then lost it to Austin the
next night on Raw.)
Indeed.

IS SARA REALLY THE UNDERTAKER'S WIFE, BECAUSE I DO NOT SEE HOW HE WOULD USE HIS WIFE AND HOW HE WOULD ALLOW SUCH EXPOITATION FOR HER?????
Yes, it's his real wife. What exploitation? The stalking thing is an angle. It's television, it's theatre, it's production, it's hollywood. It's acting. If this were a major motion picture that dealt with murder and rape, no one would think twice and ask why an actress is being "exploited" on screen, but for some reason the WWF is a unique product and should apparently be held under a different standard. Whatever.

Hey Raj,
I just want to clarify about something you said about HHH and Chyna not being friends anymore. They might not be together anymore but they are still friends, I know because I work close by to where HHH is currently rehabbing his bad injured knee. The first day he arrived, he was going out of the van to the hospital in crutches and all that, the camera was all there and bunch of people were surrounding him (assuming WWF officials and bodyguard), when he entered the hospital with the camera, Chyna came out of the car last and entered in a different entrance holding a suitcase. I assume she was also there for his surgery, but I'm not sure. Anyway, it was a big deal, Birmingham never had so much excitement, so it was like a big celebrity had the grace to come in our little hometown. It was great!!!!
Awesome.

Hey guys, great site! In mailbag #39, there was a question about the oldest
and youngest active Superstars...
Well, here is a bunch of oldest/youngest superstars and their ages to help you out... the oldest Superstars are...
Vince McMahon (55)
Haku (42)
Farrooq (42)
Dean Malenko (40)
Debra (40)
Goodfather (40)
Undertaker (39)
The youngest Superstars are
Essa Rios (22)
Molly Holly (23)
Jeff Hardy (23)
Stephanie McMahon (24)
Trish Stratus (25)
Rhyno (25)
Lita (26)
Test (26)
Yep, sounds about right. With Team WCWE now up and running, you can add DDP to the list of oldest, and I'm sure several of the new WCW guys would fit amongst the youngest.

Hey Raj and Kayfabe,
I have sent this question in before with no reply...i was wondering if this angle with Vince and Austin is supposed to make Austin look gay or if it is just him....personally i think they made Austin into a pansy from a bad ass what a waist
I think it's awesome. It added a whole different level of intrigue to the Austin character. The hugs represented an unknown; an insight into Austin's head. Was he doing it just to mess with Vince? Was he doing it to alienate the fans even further? Was he doing it to confuse everyone and prove his own power over the emotions of the audience? Was he doing it to manipulate Vince and force him into a false sense of paranoia? Was he doing it to make it even more damaging to Vince when he finally turned on him? It was all very calculated. Only the untrained mind would automatically write it off as "gay".
From: PSHCOPATH
Recebntly, you have been getting a lot of e-mails about wrestlers and there
on screen "gayness". Well, no one has been able to give an example of a
wrestler whos persona is to be gay. Are you forgetting about Adorable Adrian
Adonis? He was so gay it wasn't funny.
Yeah, but if you're going to talk about affeminate wrestlers, it all goes back to Gorgeous George.

Hey, Whats Up? Great Site... I would just like to ask a question... Who are the people making The Hardy Boyz wrestling wear? More importantly, I would like to know who makes their thingys on their arms... especially Jeff... And are they on sale or anything? Where can you buy them?
I believe Matt and Jeff actually design their ring attire and Jeff makes the "arm thingies" for lack of a better term. As a kid he used to make them out of pantyhose, but now that he's a big wrestling star I would hope he has access to some better quality material. Since they're his own creation, I doubt they're on sale anywhere.
Some of the clothing the Hardys wear can be found at places such as gadzooks and pacific sunwear....i actually have two shirts that are the same as theirs

Raj, Kay, MTR - How is it possible that the WWF moves so fast? I just don't understand how they can move such an enourmous set and tons of equipment from one city to the next without having many problems. Do they own more than one set? Maybe a East coast set and a West coast set? Anyways, thanks for answering! (I really hope you do, this is my 3rd time trying to get this question answered.)
They obviously have several rings, but I'm not positive about how they rotate their sets. After Raw's end on Monday night they simply load everything up and drive to the next city where they set everything up for Tuesday's Smackdown taping. Two house shows are sometimes held at the same time at different places so there are obviously two different sets and two different ring crews for shows like that.

Dear Rajah and Co.,
I know that Chris Benoit won the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship on March 3, 1991 in Naucalpan, Mexico as the Pegasus Kid. Why doesn't the WWF acknowledge that Chris Benoit heald this Championship Belt
First off, that Title had absolutely nothing to do with the WWF when he held it so that's a very misleading statement. The reason they don't acknowledge it is because it's not necessarily a big deal, they weren't even really affiliated with the Title until 1997 anyway, and mentioning the fact that Benoit once held such a lowly Title would do absolutely nothing to help him.
From: Jamie
Do you know if Edge will get a title shot following his success at the King
of the Ring tournament? I know Kurt Angle had a title shot last Summerslam
following his victory at KOTR & thought that all other KOTR winners would
get the same treatment just like the Royal Rumble winner.
Keep up the good work guys.
That's not written in stone anywhere. I don't know why it's such a common misconception since only three out of nine KOTR winners have gone on to challenge for the WWF Title at Summerslam. The Rumble has a very specific stipulation about the winner gaining a Wrestlemania Title shot, but the King Of The Ring doesn't work that way.

Hey Raj,Kayfabe and MTR,
what will come of Chyna after the end of her contract ends in November? Could she go to the new WCW or does no WWF contract stop her from doing that?
No, Chyna is gone for good. WCW IS the WWF. The WWF IS WCW. They are one and the same. Booker T is signed with Vince McMahon and WWFE no differently than Steve Austin is signed with Vince McMahon and WWFE. All the stuff you see on the TV with WCW being run as a separate promotion is just a storyline.
From: Jamer
Hey Rajah, Kayfabe, and MTR. I was never really a fan of WCW, and have
always been a fan of WWF, so I had mixed emotions when they bought WCW.
I think that WCW is going to turn out like the XFL. In my view, none, or
very little of the old WCW fans are going to watch it anymore because of
the lack of all of the old WCW faces such as Sting, Goldberg...etc, and
to be honest, I can't see many WWF viewers taking much notice of it.
Sure, there will be some interest when it is relaunched, but I think
that after the first few months or so, it'll have little viewers, and
will turn into a disaster like XFL. What do you think??????????
Note from Pete: Guess you can tell that last question and answer was pretty outdated.
I don't know if it will be as disastarous as the XFL was; few things are. I have mixed feelings on the matter. They'd better make it succeed, and I think they'll be able to make it stay afloat because they have to. They'll do everything they can. Worst comes to worse they'll just merge the desired WCW talent into the WWF and we'll just have the WWF again. No skin off anyone's back.

Sup Sup Rajah.com krew?? I don't even have to tell ya how unbeilevably
awesome your site is .... anyways .... I know this what I'm about to ask is
history and I'm not sure if has already been asked cuz I don't feel like
looking through 30+ mailbags .... but was Shawn Michaels really beaten up
outside a club in New York? Or was that part of an angle? I don't rememebr
the year ... but all I remember is HBK forefeiting his title to Dean Douglas
because of it ... well thanks in advance ... The Wrasslin Kid
Oh yeah, some thugs did a number on him legit in Syracuse. The WWF opted to embellish on the story a little and use it as the reason Shawn was unable to wrestle (which it was) and had to forefit the Intercontinental Title.

Hey Guys, I just have two questions about the I quit match at RR 1999.
First of all was the lighting contol box that mankind fell onto the real lighting contol box? or was it just a prop? And secondly was the dialogue of Mankind saying I quit pre-recorded? Because his head is planted right into the floor and his head doesn't move, so it appears that he isn't talking at all.
In his second book (and who would have ever thought I'd be referring to Mick Foley's 'second book'?), Mick says that the sparks were gimmicked, but the fall he took near the control area was very real. His "submission" was indeed pre-recorded, and in fact was done so as part of an angle that resulted in him regaining the Title a week later in an Empty Arena Match on Super Bowl Sunday.

Yo I got a question, is Scotty 2 Hotty married? If he is, who is he married
to?
Nobody famous or involved in the wrestling industry, if that's what you're aiming for.
His wife.

This is for Pete,
who do you think would win in a match between Lex
Luger and his controversial forearm and Faarooq with
his controversial helmet?
Good question, Tim. I'd have to say Faarooq would be favored because Lex's forearm would have no effect on Faarooq with the helmet in place. That and Luger always chokes in big matches. But if I had to make an official prediction, I'd go with a draw, simply because neither would sell for the other long enough for one man to ever gain a decided advantage for any substantial period of time.

I don't understand why the WWF ever had DX breakup. Everyone thought they
were awesome. I think X-Pac should turn on X-Factor. Then the new DX (with
the same old members) should start a rivalry with X-Factor.
Things have a way of getting stale. DX was nearing the end of its usefullness. Triple H is out on his own and has way too much to deal with as one of the top guys in the company than to be saddled with a bunch of his midcarder buddies. The Road Dogg is no longer with the company, Chyna soon won't be, and Shawn Michaels might as well not be since he can't wrestle regularly and can't get his act together to the point where the WWF is willing to put him on TV. That leaves X-Pac and Billy Gunn. Hey, there's a hell of a stable. And even if they were all still with the company, it still wouldn't do much good to repackage them as DX again. They've gone their separate ways; they milked it for all they could in 1997, 1998, 1999, and even for a bit more in 2000. It's over. Obladi, obladah, life goes on.

Hey guys, great site. Where has the Big Bossman been lately? I haven't seen
him on WWF TV for a very long time. Has he gotten in trouble with the WWF or
out on injury? Please answer this.
Boss Man was sidelined with an injury some time ago, but he's been healthy and ready to go since early this year. He even started doing some house show dates but the WWF Creative team has been either unsuccessful at or unwilling to come up with something for his character, and he hasn't made it back to TV since. I personally would love to see him back on screen as soon as possible.
From: Matt
I've been watching wrestling for only about the last year-and-a-half, and
though I've been doing a lot of reading up about all I've missed in the past
(a lot of the information I get, incidentally, comes from this fine site),
there is one thing that I have yet to figure out: In a match where a title
is on the line, if the titleholder gets himself disqualified, why does he
keep the belt? Since he was dq'ed, he lost. Therefore, shouldn't he lose the
belt? I recall during one of Edge & Christian's numerous reigns last year,
they were fond of dq'ing themselves in order to retain their tag titles.
It's just an old rule of wrestling. Championships can only change hands via pinfall or submissions. Disqaulifications and countouts are viewed as less emphatic victories, and to allow a Title to change hands on one of those wouldn't be in anyone's best interest. It also gives the Champion the decisive advantage during any Title defense. It forces the Challenger to beat the Champion, not the other way around.

I got bored one night and was watching the Diary of Chyna on MTV. And it
showed her and Triple H before the Royal Rumble. HHH was unloading her bags
and took them into the arena for her. And from the looks of it, they were in
the same locker room together. I know u get this all the time, but it looks
like they are a little more than friends.
Sorry, had to get that out of my system.
Must have been pretty bored. That was a long time ago so it's quite possible that things have changed and they're no longer together. I could take this opportunity to go off on a mini-rant, not directed at anyone personally mind you, about why I despise the way some people feel that they just have to find out the truth about celebrities and who they're dating. It especially pisses me off with Triple H and Chyna. They were once dating, now they're not. She once meant something to the WWF, now she doesn't. She's old news, he's married to his work anyway, and they're no longer an item, and even if they were I still don't see why anyone should give a damn. I hope they're working everyone just to spite people like that! And another thing while I'm at it; Rajah and I have both noticed that just about all the people that write in about these "real life relationships" and what not happen to be of the
female persuasion. Now you can draw your own conclusions from that. I am far from a sexist, but ladies please: leave the drama to the stuff that happens on the TV screen, alright? Or if you need your gossip fix, turn on E! or Entertainment Tonight or one of those garbagy shows and you'll get plenty of the juice on who's banging who.
