rajah.com Mailbag
-By Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW
MTR - PURPLE

Unfortunately, due to the late posting of this mailbag, some of the questions in this edition may seem out-dated. Hopefully from now on, we'll be able to update a little bit more frequently.

In response to your response about the King of the Ring and Billy Gunn, I would just like to say that there was 32 people (31 men and Chyna, as it was plugged) that entered the 2000 King of the Ring. I don't know about the 1999 KOTR, as I had just gotten back into wrestling (it was only my second PPV back, and, being British, I had to stay up and watch it. Unfortunately, I got caught and go in trouble!), but I can guarantee that there were 32 people entered in the 2000 KOTR.

I knew there was one King of the Ring with 32 entrants. They did two rounds on tv and did the last three rounds at the PPV. I just could not remember what year it was to save my life. Thanks for the info. Granted I have not doubled check this to make sure so I am taking your word on it but you sould like a truthly guy.

You guys said something about Mankind never wrestling for the hardcore title again after he dropped it to Bossman, however he did get at least one shot I remember when the Road Dogg was the hardcore champion. The match I'm thinking of, Rock came down and interfered... But I do have a question, when does the WWF plan to bring back D'Lo Brown? He was a damn good wrestler and they took away all his heat... but teaming him up with crap like Godfather and Chaz...

You are right. I forgot that he did wrestle Road Dogg for the belt later on. In fact he was on his way to winning the title back when the Rock knocked him out and the Road Dogg did not realize it until after he got the pinfall and was upset that he got such a cheap win after they had fought so hard. As far as D'Lo goes he lost some kind of match down in Puerto Rico in the IWA where he had to leave the fed. So hopefully we will see him sometime in the future with a better gimmick and push.

First, I just have to say- awesome site and I love the "mailbag" section. You're totally funny and it's cool to read, It's nice to actually know what's going on. Anyways, I'm kind of a virgin to the WCW and ECW and have no clue who anyone is! But the other day, I saw a pic online of a WCW tag team called 3 count- and they're really cute! Can you tell me who they are and if they will be coming to the WWF? On a personal note: I hate this WCW invasion angle and want it over soon. I mean, I started watching WWF to see WWF vs. WWF, now I'm seeing WWF vs. people I don't know and don't care about. Ok, well thanks! ~Beth (E&C's #1 fan)

Three Count was made up of Evan Karagias, Shane Helms, Shannon Moore. All three are under contract with the WWF as far as I know. Shane Helms of course is Mr. Green Lantern, Hurrican Helms. He was the Crusierweight Champ but lost the belt to Kidman in his first title defense on WWF tv. I am not sure when the angle will end. I would say as soon as the WWF can work out a tv deal for WCW the angle will end. Until then just sit back and enjoy. It is not all that bad. Besides now you are getting to see a lot of other talented people.

I've been watching wrestling for only about a year I think now. I heard about owen hart's fatality in a match. what happened to him?

Wow I was never expecting to answer this question when I signed on. Owen Hart was doing this angle where he came back as the Blue Blazer which was his original gimmick in the WWF before he made a short jump to WCW. The deal was that he kept acting it was not him and various people would dress up in the outfit and show up when Owen was around to show it was not him. He was going to stand up and make the WWF a good standing company again. He was scheduled to take on the Godfather for the IC belt at Over the Edge. He was up in the rafters hooked to harness that was going to lower him down to the ring. While a pretaped promo was playing on the screen he fell from the rafters to the ring to his death. No one really saw the fall since everyone was watching the tron and the pretaped promo. The fall was not recorded on camera. Jerry Lawler jumped up to his aid and called for paramedics. They did what they could in the ring and took him out to the hospital. But he was pretty much dead in the ring. The show went on. But there was no encore presentation later in the week and no video tape released. The next night at Raw they did a tribute show to him which was great and most of the roster went to the funeral a week later. It is a sad sad story. He was a great husband, father, brother, uncle, etc. He was a great mean that left this world way to early.

FYI, Thought you would like to see this error in reporting at mlb.com.Steve never worked for the WWF!!!! Bill By Carrie Muskat MLB.com Rockies can't run down Cubs McMichael Video: 56k | 300k CHICAGO -- Barney the dinosaur didn't create this much trouble. The Chicago Cubs are a little embarrassed after former Chicago Bear and WWF wrestler Steve McMichael's comments before he sang the seventh inning stretch Tuesday night.

Thanks for the info. I knew he had been tossed but I did not heard about this mistake. For those keeping score at home McMichael worked for WCW and used to be married to Debra.

to let u know about jr turning heel on michael cole, its true, i actually watched the tape this morning. it was 3 weeks until wrestlemania 15 and jr was with dr death steve williams for a short time. jr had suffered from bells palsy (sp.) and he hadnt been able to announce, well the week before the incident occured with michael cole, jr had slapped bart gunn and then dr death german suplexed him. jr seemed mad at the world which was the angle because his mother had died, he had this disease, and he lost his job for a while (they mentioned all this on raw), so jr came out with a bag and told michael cole to come up to the ring then jr pulled out a costume (which was very weird, and reminded me of a gimmick such as conquistadors or the blue blazer or avatar) and he said a 4 time wrestling all american was given this gimmick and he deserved better, then he told michael that he wanted to give him something to remember him by and proceeded to kick him in the nuts. it was a weird time if you remember or have it on tape. then they had terry taylor come out to announce the rest of raw and jr kept refering to his red rooster nickname and saying a midcard wrestler at best is gonna take over my job on raw. then i remember dr death and one of the wwfs bookers went to wcw (oklahoma, the one who won the womens title) and mocked this whole jr and dr death friendship. it was pretty weird. thanks for the time and i hope you better understand what went on now.

Right after the mailbag went up and the emails came in I remembered the whole incident. Thanks to all of you that wrote in. This email summed it up very well. JR was off tv and was working his way back on and they decided to do a heel turn which sucked like the first one he did. Eventually it was dropped he returned to commentating at WrestleMania that year and has been commentating since. The costume in question was a Japanese mask that Williams wore when he had interfered in a hardcore title match the week before. I guess they were going to do something with his roots in Japanese wrestling.

Concerning the guy who asked if there was any relation between Kane and Michael Myers from the Halloween movie series (I believe his name was "Rhyno Fan"), Kane actually has an uncanny resemblance to Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th. I'm a huge fan of slasher movies and horror in general, and if you look at Jason you can see the resemblance. They both wear a mask. Jason does the head-tilt thing when trying to understand something. Both are retarded (although Kane has recently shaken that stigma off), they both have deformed faces. Jason also does the routine when he gets hit repeatedly and does not feel it, and then strikes back with a vengeance. Although while Kane is being punched, Jason is being shot. And when he strikes back, it doesn't knock them off their feet, but in one case it decapitates a guy. They also have identical mannerisms - the way they move and walk, and Jason has even done the "sit-up" thing that Kane does. Since the WWF takes their inspiration for gimmicks from all manner of places, TV shows and movies, I find it easy to believe that somebody on the creative team saw a few F13 movies and thought "Hey, that guy would make a good wrestler". And although this means nothing (since Kane was named after the evil brother of Abel in The Bible), the actor who has played Jason in the last three F13 movies, as well as Jason X next year is named Kane Hodder. Anyway, sorry to go on at such length but I just think it's an interesting (if useless) bit of trivia. And BTW Rhyno Fan, Michael Myers would get his ass handed to him by Jason! Seeya, and keep up the great work all round guys.

I guess I was a little off with my answer last time. This is not the only email I got on the subject but the best one really. Thanks for the info.

While watching Smackdown with my uncle he brought up a good point during a certain match. During the match with Undertaker/Kane vs. Palumbo/O'Haire we saw a little into the match that Palumbo would punch Kane in the face. What is the point? The man is wearing a mask. Its plain stupid to punch him in the face when wearing a mask. Punch him somewhere else that will hurt.

So what if he is wearing a mask. Is it made of hard plastic or anything. I know that it is not cloth like a luchardore mask but trust me if you were wearing that mask and got hit in the face it would hurt. It is not stupid to hit a person in the face wearing a mask unless it is like a face mask to protect their broken nose or something like that. Those are hard plastic and would hurt. His mask which is probably tougher than a luchadore mask will not really protect him from feeling a punch.

Dear Rajah & Co., I was just wondering if there are any chances that Scotty 2 Hotty, K-Kwik, & Rikishi will become a new Too Cool team upon Rikishi's return. I remember that before Grandmaster Sexay was released from WWFE he said that he was cool with Rikishi again because he turned on Vince. And I guess that Scotty would be cool with Rikishi too. And Scotty teaming with K-Kwik is a no-brainer. Thank you for answering this question (I sure hope you do).

I think that three of them would make a decent little group. I doubt it will happen though. I am sure Rikishi will be pushed towards the top again and unfortunately Scotty and K Kwik are not really receving the tv time I think they should. I love both of them. I really think K Kwik can be big if given teh chance. He was great down in Memphis and is a real good talent. Maybe after WCW splits off down the road that he can be seen more on tv along with Scotty and maybe they can become a team or something.
