| rajah.com Mailbag -By Kayfabe and Rajah |
Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.
Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:
1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW
MTR - PURPLE

Ok in the last Mailbag I saw references to the Flock and X-Factor being gay.
Personally I feel this is the dumbest thing. The Flock in my opinion was a
great angle. Also with the Flock, I do not think that Stevie Richards was
ever a part of it like any one said. I remember Scotty Anton (who later
wrestled in ECW, I forget his name there) trying to impress Raven.
Now my actual question. Why are wrestlers from ECw who cross over to the WWF
always held back?
Justin Credible - In my opinion he is great on the mic and in the ring... now
he plays as the least reconized member of X-factor.
Raven - Raven is great, unfortunetly he is stuck in the Hardcore division,
not even there anymore, just wrestles occasional Heat matchs it seems.
Rhyno - One of the few given a good angle, working with team RECK, but still
just a man stuck in the Hardcore Division.
Tazz - Now for the one that is the most upsetting. Tazz is great. He
obliterated Kurt Angle in his debut. Now he is just a commentator who
occasional fights Richards. It is horrible. I think tazz is main event
material.
And now the needed sucking up---- The site is great, keep things going how it
is.
ECW wrestlers aren't held back, and the success or lack thereof that they achieve has nothing to do with the fact that they came from ECW. I notice you didn't mention the Dudley Boyz on that list. I wonder why. Rhyno has carved a nice role out for himself since debuting this spring and I don't see how he could be in any better position than he's in now. Tazz is a whole other argument in its own right. You feel that Tazz is main event material. Fine. The WWF obviously does not. But is he being held back? No. The man does get more time on the mic than any other active wrestler the WWF has, even if his job is to put the other talent over. And Tazz his happy with his role, so you should be too. I know I am. As for Raven, I know he's not up to much now, but that's because it comes in cycles for a lot of guys. Look at Billy Gunn. He had nothing to do for months and months, and he's been in the WWF since
1993. It's not that he's being held back; there's just only enough time for a certain amount of wrestlers to be at a certain level at the same time. Besides, Raven did wrestle against Kane and the Big Show (pretty exclusive company) at the defining show of our era, and what some consider to be the best PPV of all time, Wrestlemania X-7. Not too shabby for someone being held back.

After reading a response about the Rock not tapping out to the crossface,
although that's true, he has tapped to the Ankle and Angle Lock. I believe
that he has tapped to the move from both Ken Shamrock and Kurt Angle. I think
it was at King of the Ring 98 that Rock tapped out to Shamrock and on a
Smackdown before No Way Out 01 Rock tapped out to Angle. And I bet he tapped
out numerous times to other people as Rocky Maivia.
Well, the Shamrock thing is a moot point since that was before he was a main event draw, but the bottom line is you're right: The Rock puts people over me. That's the one claim that Rock-bashers make that I find to be so ridiculous. The Rock, better and more consistently than any other top level performer present and past, has put over anyone and everyone asked of him. The guy is truly a team player.

I think it is kind of stupid to have the WCW matches air on WWF television
because when I put it on TNN for "WWF" wrestling, I do it for WWF. When I put
it on UPN for "WWF" wrestling, I do it for WWF. I dont put it on TNN or UPN
to watch "dubya-c-dubya." Period.
Hate to break it to you, but regardless of the logo they flash on the screen, you're watching "WWF" wrestling either way. Vince McMahon owns WCW and all the WCW wrestlers are under contract to him. Everything you see on TV is WWF anyway, not WCW.

I was wondering since I never saw the mcmahon costas interview but what
exactly happened there that was so controversial? By the way thanx for
answering!
Nothing too exciting. Costas pretty much bashed the content of WWF television, and Vince got really defensive and went off on him, seemingly drifting into the evil Mr. McMahon character he portrays on television in the process. Pretty frightening, actually.

Hey Rajah, I saw that question that "Crackman" sent in to you about the fan
he kept on seeing on tv, and no, it is not Meltzer. I live in the Philly
surburb area and also work for a few indy feds as a ring announcer, and I
see the same guy at a lot of indy shows. His name is John Bailey, but
everyone calls him "Hat Guy", hence, why he wears that hat(also, he doesnt
have much hair on his head, but shhhhhh). The guy is funny as anything at
any wrestling show, as he gets on all the workers (and ring announcers like
me). Just wanted to clear up the question for anyone.

I just read a response in the mailbag regarding the famous screwjob where
you were asked whether or not Shawn Michaels was involved or not. Well I
know someone that worked with the WWF for years (cannot give his name). He
traveled with the company to all the shows and I asked him the very same
question a while back. He told me Shawn Michaels may have known about what
was going to happen but did not want to be a part of it. He told me that
the day before he was sitting at the pool at the hotel when Vince and JR
approached Michaels. They said something to him, and he yelled "No way I am
not doing it" Later when he asked Shawn what that was about Shawn said they
were discusing his contract. He went on to tell me that 3 people knew about
the what was happening. Vince, Earl, and J.R.
I'm still not buying it. As I highlighted last time, there simply had to be more people that had some knowledge of what was going to happen. I'd bet that Bruce Pritchard and other top ranking backstage officials had to know as well, if not Kevin Dunn and others involved with the production of the broadcast.
