Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:
1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW
MTR - PURPLE
Note from Rajah: Pete compiled the questions and answers in this edition of the mailbag several weeks ago. Thus, some questions may be a little bit out-dated. We're basically all caught up now, and if all goes well, we won't wait so long before posting the next mailbag.

Hey guys, I was wondering what exactly a "downside guarantee" is? I saw it
in the july 3rd edition of the news and rumours used twice to describe stacy
carter's tentative contract, and chyna's exiting contract. I have been
following wrestling for like 90% of my life, and yet i still have never heard
of this??????
It means exactly what it implies. The amount of money they're guaranteed to make even if worst comes to worst and they don't make anything based on incentives. In other words, their base salary.

Hey guys,
Love the Mailbag and Trivia Sections of the Site (amongst the rest) but,
I was reading through the Mailbag Archives the other day, I believe it was
Mailbag #4, someone asked "Do you think the WWF would EVER turn Stone Cold
Steve Austin Heel?" to which you replied "possibly, but only at the END of
his career." However many days/weeks/months/years later, Steve Austin is now
a heel, do you think his career is coming to an end? He just came back and he
seems to be in top-shape again, would he really retire this quickly after
having WWF make such a huge deal of his return?
I don't think he's going to retire tomorrow or anything, but he's no spring chicken anymore; that's for sure. His days aren't quite numbered yet, but he is in the latter stages of his career, and it doesn't help things that he keeps getting injured. He can clearly still go, as evidenced by his matches with the like of Angle, The Rock, Benoit, and Jericho this year but one has to wonder how much is left in the tank. It will be interesting to see how much longer guys like Austin and The Undertaker will go before hanging them up.

When in Australia recently William Regal was asked what the worst gimmick in
wrestling was. He replied that it was Buff Bagwell's, adding that Bagwell has
a face he could never get sick of punching. The interview took place shorlty
after it became known that the WWF was buying WCW. When Regal was asked what
the best thing was about the takeover he replied that it would clear out a lot
of the rubbish that was present in WCW such as Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell.
I'm not stupid enough to think that all the wrestlers get on well back stage
but I thought that Regal had some pull with WWF management. Why did they hire
a wrestler who Regal hates so much and as shown on Raw (2nd July) cannot
wrestle.
P.S. Regal came over extremely well in the interview.
Because his name got a big pop when they mentioned it, he was one of the few "name" guys they could afford, and they figured he might be able to draw money. And I'm sure Regal has no real direct pull when it comes to hiring wrestlers.

First of all great web site, its the best on the
web......oh wait im sucking up big style aren't I?
Anywho, my question is has The Rock ever scored a
pinfall victory over Stone Cold Steve Austin, I say
no, but my friend says yes, who is correct? Thanks,
from Action Man.
I'm sure he has at some point, but I can't think of any specifics off the top of my head. Anybody want to help me out here?

I think I can see a pattern emerging with WWF PPV results. This is my theory,
but using 2000 and 2001 results so far, it works. What I believe is that if a
new WWF Champion is crowned at a PPV, it won't happen again the next year. Also,
events can go a couple of years without a title change. This works with this
year's results(starting at No Way Out):
2000 No Way Out: Champion retained 2001: New champion
2000 'Mania: Champion retained 2001: New champion
2000 Backlash: New champion 2001: Champion retained
2000: J Day: New champion 2001: Champion retained
2000: KOTR: New champion 2001: Champion retained
SEE WHAT I MEAN? So Fully Loaded (Invasion) should conduct a new WWF Champion, because last year's (and the year before's) didn't. Basically what I am saying is with the exception of WrestleMania, a title will not change hands two years in a row.
Interesting observation, but I'm sure it's more coincidence than anything else.

That guy Zach in the last mailbag (#39) really needs to calm down. He ranted on about wanting Scott Steiner, Sting and Goldberg in the new WCW and said that Vince had just lost a fan.
Why would you want to watch those guys when the current crop of wrestling talent in the WWF is better than ever. With Triple H, Benoit, Jericho, Kurt Angle and Steve Austin all there and Edge and Christian making their way up to the top the WWF is hot. Sting is over the hill and from what I hear has retired, Goldberg doesn't like wrestling and makes millions without getting out of bed and Steiner is injured so he couldn't work for the new WCW anyway.
To make up for it the WWF has signed all the talented guys on the old WCW roster and drafted in Rob Van Dam to join them. If you ask me the WCW has never had this kind of talent line up with the backing to make it work.
If you stop watching now Zach you'll miss all the good stuff.
Very well put.

Dear Rajah, Kayfabe and MTR (yeah, purple rules!)
Just reading through the 39th edition of your lovely mailbag, and I usually have my own comments/thoughts/replies on a lot of the stuff getting written in, which I tend to keep to myself, but for some reason I just *had* to write in regarding the bottom statement (although I did like Kayfabe's comment on it) -
From: Zach
I WOULD JUST LIKE TO MAKE A STATEMENT. I HAVE BEEN A HUGE WRESTLING FAN FOR
THE LAST FIFTEEN YEARS. AND I AM DEEPLY SADDEND BY THE REACENT TREND IN PRO
WRESTLING. I HAVE BEEN A HUGE WCW FAN OVER THE PAST YEARS. I DO NO NOT FEEL
THAT I WILL WATCH THE NEW WCW. I AM A HUGE FAN OF GOLDBERG, BIG POPPA PUMP
AND STING. ALL OF WICH I HEARD WILL NOT BE INVOLVED. SO FOR THIS I SAY WWF
AND WCW ALON WITH "VINNIE MAC" CAN BOTH KISS MY ASS. THEY LOST ANOTHER
VIEWER. AND WHILE I AM ONLY ONE, THERE ARE THOUSANDS, HELL MAYBE EVEN
MILLIONS MORE WHO FEEL THE SAME WAY I DO. F!@K WFFE!
One man's opinion is one man's opinion.
Since it first started, I was following the sale of WCW through the rajah.com newsboard. If memory serves me right, WWFE were in talks of buying it, then withdrew, but eventually purchased it when another company (not sure which one, sorry) backed out at the last minute. I don't understand why Zack would get so angry with WWFE.
So, to Zach, I say this - okay your favourite wrestlers aren't involved, but have you tried finding out the 'real' reasons why? You did say that you just 'heard' that they won't be involved. Is the person you 'heard' it from a truly reliable source? Maybe it isn't all WWFE's fault that those particular wrestlers aren't part of the new WCW? Why not place some of the blame on whoever it was that decided to wash their hands clean of WCW? (Sorry for that cliche!) Besides, if it wasn't for WWFE purchasing WCW, a lot of other WCW wrestlers would be out of a job, as well as a lot of other backstage crew, etc. And, I'm sure, as 'a huge fan over the years', you should be happy that those WCW wrestlers you used to watch can still perform in front of their loyal fans.
Anyway, not sure if this is going to make it in the next mailbag, or even if 'Zach' is going to return and read it *if* it makes it to the mailbag, but I had to reply. Especially considering that last sentence, which I thought was grossly unfair.
Thanks for reading anyway, and keep up the absolutely outstanding job!

There has been many disputes between me and my friends on whether Triple H
and Vince McMahon used steroids. I, personally think Triple didn't but Vince
is a question mark. Did you see his arms on Raw when Tori took his clothes
off.
Vince has always been into bodybuilding. He admitted to using them in the '80's, but has since stopped. As for Triple H, no one knows but him.

Hey guys, great site. i was just wondering why the WWF
doesn't anymore In Your House PPVs anymore? The WWF
used to do a good job at making these PPVs seem more
relaxed then the main ones. Also, i liked the set of the house
that the wrestlers came out of.
In an effort to make each PPV seem important in order to draw more buys, the In Your House name was dropped and when you think about it, newer fans really have no way of distinguishing a PPV like Judgment Day from Summerslam as a result.

Is the woman escorting The Dead man really his wife
Sara or just a new female wrestler?
It's his real wife.

Thanks for replying to email Pete that is much appreciated.
I read in a mailbag that you thought kane and mankind were in a hell in a cell in 98. They sure were. I remember it well. It was the RAW before Summerslam and Mankind took a bump through the table thanks to Taker. Kane bleed heavily in that match too. Now i have a suggestion and a question. Do you think it would be a cool idea if the WWF made a video that was the very best of highlight packages that the WWF computer creative team have produced. I mean i dont know about you but those packages they do and they way they can make a dramatic sound insync with an action are just awesome. In my mind those McMahon/Austin highlight packages really got you in the mood to watch the match. As did the My way one at Wrestlemania 17 with Rock and Austin. They could also interview some of the people who desgin these packages and just see how the whole process works. If they made a video of these i know i would buy it or at l! east rent it because those packages are just first class all the way. What do you think? Also what are your thoughts on Raven. Hes my third fav wrestler behind HHH and Angle. He could be such a huge heel but the WWF seem to have no time for him. My advice to the WWF is to watch WCW from early 98 when Raven was fueding with Benoit and DDP and just see how much of an asset this guy can be.
I would definitely dig a video like that. As for Raven, I've always been sort of indifferent to him, but I think he could be a real key part of the ECW team if given the opportunity.

The below question was in the last mailbag and I can help embellish on it a
little. (Answered By Kayfabe)
From: Anthony
Hi crew! Iv'e been sending this question in for the last three months but it
never gets answered! Could you please answer it this time? Right then, here
goes again! In 1991 and 1992 I purchased two offical WWF annuals from my
local shop (they are offical I checked), but since then I havn't seen them
in the shops anywhere! Do you have any idea why? thanks
I'm not sure they continued being published after the early 90's. Anyone have any insight pertaining to this matter?
I have one from 1993, helpful?
Regards,
Chris Lawson
Now that you mention it, I think I have one from '94, and I'd be willing to bet that was the last such magazine published.

Hey guys! Great site. Quick question. I was going through
Wrestlecrap.com, and came across a wrestler named Zeus. He looks alot like
the guy who plays in the Friday movies, whose name is something like Tiny
Lister or something. Is this the same guy?
Yep.
