rajah.com Mailbag
-By Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW
MTR - PURPLE

HI GUYS , 2 DIVA RELATED QUESTIONS . FIRSTLY WHAT DO YOU THINK TRISH'S ROLE WILL BE WHEN SHE RETURNS . I DOUBT SHE WILL CONTINUE WITH THE HARDYZ ANGLE ALTHOUGH IT WAS A GREAT IDEA . I'D LOVE TO SEE HER WITH Y2J . SECONDLY , ARE THERE ANY OTHER WOMEN YOU WOULD LOVE TO SEE JOIN THE WWF ?

What is up with the all caps? Calm down already. Anyway Trish is already back since you sent this in. Basically it looks like they are just keeping her on tv as much as possible but not with any particular people. Just wrestling or whatever they need her to do. Personally I would love to see Bobcat up in the WWF. She was the ho that won the hardcore title for about 10 seconds. She is a good wrestler and everything but they let her go several months ago.

The thing about the Duchess of Queensberry rules were to mimic, I guess, the rules used in boxing, which go by the name of Marquis of Queensberry rules. Here's a link for more info about these specific rules: http://www.hickoksports.com/history/marqrule.php Anyway, I supposed you want an actual question here..heh...sooo a while back, in around 1997, I stopped watching all the WWF and watched more WCW due to the fact that most, if not all, of my faves had left for Atlanta. Well, because I watched WCW more, and considering that I watched Nitro when it overlapped Raw from the beginning of 1998 to the end of 1999, I was wondering how McMahon's Corporation was formed? How did these guys come together in one big group? Thanks....

Well I am not sure where they got the Dutches of Queensberry rules from but I am sure it could have come from many sources. I still stand but what I said last time about how it was just a variation of matches they have done before where someone kept changing the rules during the match like Vince did to Austin at one point while defending teh WWF title against Dude Love. I can not remember the PPV now but that is one example of what I am talking about. Storm had a similiar match in WCW where he wrestled Awesome under Canadian rules or something and the rules kept changing. Now to your actual question. Vince basically just went through and brought together the wrestlers that he felt were the best for the company and best represented the company. He started with Big Boss Mad has a bodyguard and he used Mick Foley as a flunky and Shamrock and others and eventually the Rock and eventually Shance added Triple H to replace the Rock.

Hey guys, I recently purchased The best of Raw volumes 1 and 2 on dvd. Now I was watching a hardcore match between Bob Holly and Bart Gunn and some guy runs in and attacks bart gunn. He's dressed in a red suit with a mask and i remember watching this match live and I never figured out who it was. It looks a lot like Haku but do you guys have any idea?

Well I think we have covered this lately with the whole mess over JR's heel turn. The guy in the mask was Dr. Death Steve Williams. They were going to do some Japanese thing with him since he is well known over there but they scrapped it and he just became JR's flunky during his very short heel turn.

hey, i haven't been a wrestling fan for that long, but i wanna say i love your site! i got a question about the rock. i don't know if you know the answer, but here goes...when ever the rock walks down the ramp, they into him saying hes from miami fl. then, whenever hes on a non wrestling related tv show, he says hes raised in hawaii (i know the rock lives in miami now, at least that what he says). but i'm from ct, and people here say that the rock is originally from hamden ct. our family knows someone that was his boyscout leader when he lived there, and he knows the rocks old teacher. so, wheres the rock really from. i'd really appreciate it if you answered this, cause im dyin to know. thanx!

Basically for the long detailed answer to this go read th Rock's book, The Rock Says. Basically he moved several times growing up. He did spend a lot of time in Hawaii but he has lived in several different places in the US. Currently he resides in Maimi, Florida wiht his wife and kid.

I do not believe that the WWF was ever interested in him. He has been doing the indy scence for the most part and I think is or was apart of MECW.

'Sup, Raj, Kayfabe, MTR. I started to watch wrestling on Survivor Series '98 when my cuz,Jed(he also told me about ur great site)(Jed,if ur reading this, WASSSUP), ordered it on PPV at our Thanksgiving party, so I didn't really know anything before that.Anyway I just bought a bunch of tapes including Best of Raw Vol. I which took place at about the time when Rock & Austin were feuding for the I.C. title and to answer an earlier question I'm pretty sure that Rock beat Austin for that particular title. On the tape I also saw a segment where Val Venis slept with Mr.Yamaguchisan's wife. At the end of the segment it showed Val being brutally assaulted then taken to the back and getting his-how should I say this-''strudel' sliced off. The host , Michael Cole didn'texpain anything about this,so what I want to know is what happened next? I mean, in '99-'00 Val kept on pimpin', so has it been earased fr! om the record books or something-WASAPWITDAT?????AND PLEASE PUT THIS IN UR MAILBAG I WON'T THREATEN U OR OFFER ANY $$$$ BUT I'M JUST DYING TO KNOW!!!!!!

Okay I believe Kayfabe has already pointed out that the Rock has said he has never pinned Austin. Yes he won the IC belt from him but only because Austin was stripped of the belt. Now here is the deal about Val Venis. He was taken to the back and stripped down. The Big Valboski was placed on the table and the sword went down. The next week Val is seen talking to Wayne Bobbit and explains that he was so scared he suffered from shrinkage and he was saved from such a horrible act. If wrestlecrap.com was still around I would send you there because they had a section on it with pictures and stuff. But alas the site is no more.

Could you please tell me all the members who were ever in the Nation of Domination. I am asking because my friend and I have been having a argument about whether Bradshaw was in the Nation. He says that he was I said that he wasn't. Who is right? Also does the WWF recognize Jeff Hardy as being a Grand Slam champion(Intercontinental, Hardcore, Light-Heavyweight and Tag Team).

Not another Nation question. Okay I tried to answer this before and well things got out of hand. I am not going to try to name them all again. If you want that then you can go back through the old mailbags that i have done and find the answer. I can tell you these though. Bradshaw was not in the Nation. You are correct. If there is any money riding on this I want my share. Now Jeff Hardy is not really a Grand Slam Champion by the definition the WWF and most people use. To be a true Grand Slam Champion you must have won the WWF, IC, Tag, and European titles. Only two men have done this. Those two men are Shawn Michaels and Triple H. Several are only one title short. Now Kane, Chris Jericho, and Jeff Hardy fall under the category of winning four different titles but not the four that the are looking for. Kane has held WWF, IC, Tag, and Hardcore. Jericho has held IC, Tag, European, and Hardcore.

Could you please clear up some rumors for me? Was K-Kwik and Torrie released from the WWF?

They are no longer with the WWF. They were not released though. They were just not given contract renewals and their contracts ran out. Now there are various rumors on why they were done this way. I have heard that Tori refused to go down to the farm systme for a while. I have heard that management did not like that K Kwik never signed over his rights to his rapping and wrestling name of K Krush which he records under. The truth is that they are gone and that is all anyone really knows. Shame too. I loved K Kwik when I watched him and Memphis and I really thought he could make it big but they never really gave him a chance once Road Dogg was released.

Hi all, As usual, great site. I especially appreciate the fact that you don't over-exagerate your headlines or have hundreds of annoying windows popping up (unlike 99.9% of the other wrestling sites). Thank you for being so professional in your work. Now, a weird but serious question. Why do most (almost all) wrestlers shave their armpits? Does having clean-shaved armpits offer any advantage? Less sweat? Easier arm movements? Or is it just so that it's less unsightly to the fans (and also the the fellow opponent that's being held in a headlock)? Or maybe they just have blonde armpit hair that are too fine to be seen by the normal TV viewer? Your answer is much awaited. Thanks!

I am going to go with the theory that it is for visual purposes. I would rather not see armpit hair myself. It is bad enough that we have to put up with Albert not shaving off body hair like the rest of them. That headlock thing might also have something to do with it though.

I think MtR was wrong. Brakus was on the brawl for all and he did get knocked out. I know because my friend had a copy of that Raw.

First off it is MTR. Please capitalize all three letters. Now that I got that off my chest. Anyway I knew it was in it and without searching the net for results I did not know whether or not he was knocked out but I did not think so. But if you are positive and have seen the tape I will take your word for it until several angry people email me and tell me other wise okay.

I found this interesting...I was on WCW's webpage looking at stuff and went to their stars' page. http://www.wcw.com/stars/index.html What I found interesting was that RVD's name isn't on the list, but Kurt Angle's name and bio are already there. You would think that WWFE would want a bio on their most popular super star, wouldn't you?

Very interesting. I would say it is probably some kind of glitch that does happen from time to time or maybe it is just a sign of things to come. Thanks for the info.

Quick question about a wrestling term that I couldn't find in the Wrestling Terms section...What does saying a wrestler is "green," mean?

Basically he is a rookie and very knew to the business and does not have many matches under his belt and you can usually tell.

From: crz2

to the guy who said that RHyno vs Awesome was the 1st interpromotional match. The first i.p match was Tazz vs. Mike Awesome for the ECW title. This was a WWF wrestler (tAzz) vs a then WCW wrestler (awesome) for the ECW belt. THis took place on an ECW PPV in 2000 when Awesome joined WCW with the ECW belt. Tazz won then appeared on Raw as ECW champ and faced HHH . He lost the belt to Tommy Dreamer. I think this counts as the first i.p match Don't you?

I guess you have a point there except the match between Awesome and Tazz was on tv and not PPV and Tazz wrestled Triple H on a Smackdown but he was on Raw and Smackdown with the belt. If you really want to get technical there was that ECW Invasion way back when.
