| rajah.com Mailbag -By Kayfabe, MTR and Rajah |
Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.
Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:
1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II as well as the mailbag archives at the bottom of the page. .
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please limit yourself to only one question per person per email. This allows us to update the mailbag more frequently.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe, MTR or Rajah, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:Rajah - GREEN
Kayfabe - YELLOW
MTR - PURPLE
Note: If you sent in a question during the recent pasat and it didn't get answered, please wait until the next edition of the mailbag before re-submitting if necessary. The reason is that we still have tons of emails to get through from the past month or so. Thanks.

hey whoever wants to answer this. What is the storyline behind certain wrestlers being dubbed "king" i.e. harley race or haku? ive been wondering this for a while and would appreciate it if you'd answer it in the mailbag. great site!!!
It stems from King of the Ring. Before they started the ppv they did have King of the Ring tournaments every year and Harly Race won a lot of them and he started calling himself the King. Well basically at some point he lost to Haku I think and then it passed to Jim Duggan and what not. Then finally they started KOTR on ppv and that kind of stopped that except for the Bret Hart vs. Jerry Lawler. I am not sure where Lawler picked up the name of the King though.

I was wondering what appened to k kwik... I like this guy...???? what you think about that
I also loved K Kwik. I watched down i Memphis before he came up. Basically they did not have anything for him and what and eventually he was released. Why not send him back down to the developmentals? That I do not know. I think there was more behind it but I can not say for sure. He had an interview a while back that was on the newsboard that was really good and talked about things. I miss him and I hope he comes back some day. For now though I think he is doing the indy scene and working on his album.

I know the finishes are planned but are the rest of the matches planned out before hand or do the wrestlers make it up as they go? oh yeah you have a
great site. I visit it everyday
It depends on the wrestlers involved. Some of them like to plan out the whole match. Some only like to plan out certain spots and improvise the rest but use the spots to keep track of time. And then there are some that do not plan out anything at all except the finish. Bigger men plan to have most of the match planned out. Middle size guys tend to have spots worked out but probably not the whole match. The small guys tend to improvise the whole match. When you mix and match sizes then it just varies but a lot of times things are more planned out.

To MTR,
I there, just emailing about the Jake Roberts/Earthquake feud where earthquake squashed damian. I was at UK Rampage in 1991, between Wrestlemania 7 and Summerslam 91, and Jake Roberts faced Earthquake in a match that ended with I think Jake getting DQ'd cause he brought a snake into the ring or something, I think it might of been Lucifer. However It could of been Damian and the match could of led to Earthquake finally squashing it. I don't remember though. How we need these incisive storylines in the WWF today! Keep up the good work.
Well that sounds like a reasonable thing to go on. If he brought a snake in though it had to be Lucifer though since Earthquake smashed Damian already on tv at some point really jump starting the feud.
From: Rob B.
I don't remember fully the match that ended the feud between Jake and Earthquake, but what I do remember was that while Bobby the Brain was distracting the ref, Jake took out Lucifer and put it around the shoulders of Earthquake where he proceeded to clutch his heart and fell to the mat out cold. 1-2-3 and he was pinned. Bobby then ran into the ring, listened for a heartbeat on the Quake then proceeded to pound his fists into the Quake's chest as if he had a heart attack. I hope this helps out!
Another version. I think definitely they had a blow off match and a snake was involved and I think it may have been at the event in the above letter and maybe this is the ending they had trouble remembering.

Dear Raj, Pete, or MTR,
First of all, no one knows your name MTR because you are pretty lame at answering questions. But anyways, I thought I would add a couple of names
to the Hall of Fame inductees. I know Baron Mikel Sicuna and Antonio Rocca are in, and I think Ernie Ladd is in also. Also, I was wondering what your
opinions of the Slammy Awards were. Personally, I thought it was a good change of pace from other WWF programming, and I wouldn't mind seeing it again. Keep up the great work Raj, and please consider dropping MTR
So you think I am lame at answering questions. Fair enough. You are entitled to your opinion. But as far as suggesting I should be dropped I would think that if Rajah felt like I was doing a bad job(which he may now that it took long between updates this time around) that he would say something and I would not be around. Anyway thanks for the info on the Hall of Fame. And if my memory is correct I believe that we may see the Slammys again.

Hey MTR,
I noticed last time around you and Rajah had trouble naming everyone in the WWF Hall of Fame. Well, being the bastion of superfluous detail that I am, I thought I'd do a little research and provide us all with the definitive list of inductees.
The following people comprise the WWF Hall of Fame...
1993
Andre The Giant
1994 (in a ceremony held June 9th at the Omni Inner Harbor International Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland)
Arnold Skaaland
Bobo Brazil
Buddy Rodgers
Chief Jay Strongbow
"Classy" Feddie Blassie
Gorilla Monsoon
James Dudley
1995 (in a ceremony held June 25th at the Marriott in Philidelphia, Pennsylvania)
Antonino Rocca
Ernie Ladd
The Fabulous Moolah
George "The Animal" Steele
The Grand Wizard
Ivan Putski
Pedro Morales
1996 (in a ceremony held November 16th at the Marriott Marquis in New York City, New York)
Baron Mikel Scicluna
Captain Lou Albano
Killer Kowalski
Jimmy Snuka
Jimmy Valiant
Johnny Rodz
Johnny Valiant
Pat Patterson
Vincent J. McMahon
And there you have it. As for the future for the WWF HOF, I'd like to see Sgt. Slaughter, The Iron Sheik, Hulk Hogan, Bobby Heenan, Bret Hart, Mean Gene Okerlund, Joey Marella and Bob Backlund all make it. But who knows when or if the WWF will ever hold any more inductions.

Hey guys, great site. I know none of yall ever really followed WCW, but I was reading on another site something about Goldberg ending Bret Hart's career with a stiff kick to the head at Starcade. I was wondering if you could tell me anything about that? Thanks a lot.
Actually I followed both except for a couple periods of times. Anyway Goldberg gave Hart a really stiff kick to the head involving a chair and it gave Hart a concussion. Well the concussion never really went away and healed right and eventually Hart realized it was time to retire. Goldberg did not mean to do it but a lot of people think there was too many times when he worked too stiff to make things look better in his opinion and he should not have. This was a case where he should have not been kicking so hard but he did it anyway and it cost Hart his career as an active wrestler but he has down stuff with the WWA as a comissioner though.

Hi guys, I am just curious, are The Undertaker and
Kane actualy brothers. Someone told me that they are
indentical twins and that is why Kane wears the mask
No they are not brothers. And they are not identical either. That is pretty damn obvious. They are not really the same size and stature which means they are not indentical twins. The Undertaker is Mark Calloway and Kane is Glen Jacobs. Kane was also Isaac Yankem and the fake Diesel before becoming Kane.

There actually is a difference between Jakked and Metal. While both shows for the most part are recaps of the previous week with a few dog matches, Jakked is in English and Metal is in Spanish.
Also, with WrestleMania X-9, sometimes at WrestleMania they announce the location. The best way to guarantee good seats is through WWF Travel Packages. Sign up to be on their mailing list and this will allow you to buy seats, tickets to AXXESS, hotel room, and other things in one deal months before tickets go on sale to the general public.
You are wrong about Jakked/Metal. They are the same matches and recaps with different announcers and they are shown in different areas. I watch Metal and I can assure you that it is not in Spanish. Also the matches tend to be shown in a different order as well. Thanks for the info on WrestleMania tickets and what not. Too bad this update took too long to get down. But for next year it is great info.

Hi to all the guys at Rajah!
I'll cut straight to it.Did Subzero from the Mortal kombat video game ever appear on WCW Nitro? If so who was his opponent and why?
I seem to recall seeing him, but my friends say I was either drunk or high(!)
Thanks for the help and keep up the great work.
Yes and no. They had a wrestler that had a similar outfit and what not that was basically a Subzero ripoff called Glacier. He wrestled for a while but did not go as well as they had hoped and was scrapped. They brought the guy back in a different gimmick that failed just as bad. And towards the end of the WCW they brought Glacier back in a stupid comedy storyline with Norman Smiley.

Hey MTR....and those other guys too:
I just wanted to chime in on the Mailbag 46 (the first I've read in a while...so sue me). In the Sack there was a question about the ring breaking down on purpose for HHH and Cactus Jack. Well, interestingly
enough, the prototype for that spot was more or less born in that "other fed" ECW many a year ago. And who would be the man behind the madness: One Mikey Whipwreck. Obviously, the prototype has been imporved on, but I just felt that this worthless piece of information was worth sending an e-mail about.

P.S. Do you think the WWF will ever let Booker T or Christian have their day in the sun?
I knew that you were just waiting for me not to have a good answer so you can come back with info that I did not know like I did to you a couple times. I knew it. :)
Thanks for the info buddy. You were truly a great columnist for this site and great at the mailbag and you are definitely a great booker/storyline person for Weakner's efed. So now do I get my push to the WWO title?
Oh yeah the p.s. I think that they will eventually get what they deserve. I hope anyway.

in the history for the wwf title match, there is a note that refers to the six-pack match for the title. it says the bulldog was involved. since when has the bulldog had a title shot in recent years? and explain how it came about please. thank you and love the site. shout out to MTR!
Speaking of the WWO here another member with a qusetion.
Okay basically Bulldog made a grand re-entrance to the WWF and got a major push. He was involed in this match as well as a one on one match for the title against Triple H on a Smackdown with the Rock as the ref. That was a damn good match with great bits by the Rock.
Now as far as the six-pack challenge goes Vince beat Triple H for the belt thanks to Austin and he vacated the belt and set up the match since so many people wanted a shot at the gold. Triple H had to wrestle his way into the match though. On a Smackdown he had to wrestle the Undertaker in a casket match which he lost because UT substituted Viscera and Mideon and he could not get the both in the casket, Foley in a broiler room brawl which he won I think, Kane in a inferno match which he won and he lost another match and then he beat the Rock in a strap match.
