Dear Rajah
I have just come across your website by chance and it is one of the best websites online and I have some news and a question-Silver Vision in the UK is cancelling all of the backdated WWF videos and ppvs(due to a court ruling).........Do you think that the WWF will release all the old WWF(but with the label WWE) ,WCW and ECW videos of old on DVD's?
if you could email me A.S.A.P I'd appreciate it as I've emailed so many people with this question and they never get back to me on it.
At the moment the WWE haven't released any of the old ECW or WCW tapes, but I should imagine they will release at least some of them at some point. However, I can't see them issuing the PPV's in which WCW ridiculed the WWF product. For example, it would be pretty stupid of the WWE to release the PPV where Eric Bischoff challenged Vince to a match, Vince obviously didn't turn up and Eric Bischoff basically called Vinnie Mac a pussy. Still, Vince McMahon has an eclectic sense of humor, so who knows? If you want to buy old ECW/WCW tapes now, get them from ebay. There is always hundreds of wrestling tapes for sale on ebay, some for as low as a dollar.
This is really interesting. It certainly appears that Silvervision has pulled all old WWF DVD and tapes from the shelf. What I can't work out is how the court ruling in the World Wide Fund vs WWE could be retrospective. Rulings like that are almost never retrospective because to pull an entire country's supply of merchandise off the shelves is expensive, fraught with difficulty and fairly pointless. I can't see the point of pulling old tapes from the shelves just because they have the WWF logo on them, when the lawsuit was focused on the use of the trademark in cyberspace. There was an injunction issued to stop the WWE using "WWF" in promotional material and the internet, but it seems very strange that you can apply the ruling reterospectively. I'll do some more research and see what I can come up with.

In part 4 of mailbag #42, this so called "wrestling fan of 14 years" was rambling on about how fake wrestling was and then went on the name some of the great wrestling talents in the past. The list was pretty decent, until the guy had the nerve to add Giant Gonzales of all people to the list. What in the hell is THAT?! Giant Gonzalez had to be one of if not THE worst wrestler ever!! If this guy can name ONE time where Giant Gonzalez made wrestling even remotely famous, I will be glad to shake his hand. I just had to comment on this because I was wondering someone can think that Giant Gonzalez was actually a talented popular wrestler.
As the girl who finds Eric Bischoff attractive, I'm in a good position to answer this question. What some people like, others hate. If you would like to see an example of the huge diversity that exists in terms of who likes and who hates which wrestler, go visit the rajah.com forum. Heated debates about who sucks and who doesn't occur almost hourly. That aside, I agree that Giant Gonzalez wasn't the greatest wrestler any of us have ever seen. However, he was considered something of a novelty when he worked the program with the Undertaker. After all, not many men can dwarf 'Taker who stands almost 7 feet tall himself. It's best just to think of Giant Gonzalez as The Big Show of the 1980's and move on.

i wanted to let you guys know i love your site, it is by far the best on the internet. i noticed that everytime somebody posed for playboy they were soon after released from the wwe (sable, chyna). is that because they did playboy, or did they leave on a good note..it sure doesn't seem that way to me. also, do you think there are any chances for a Diva playboy issue-one can only wish.
No wrestler can appear anywhere outside of the WWE without company approval. Chyna and Sable were both given permission to pose for Playboy and the WWF would have received a cut from whatever Sable and Chyna were paid. The two posers were released from the WWF for reasons that had nothing to do with their appearances in Playboy. In actual fact, the respective editions of Playboy they appeared in were several of the highest selling covers in the history of the magazine. But you are right about the fact that neither Sable nor Chyna left the WWF on a very good note, Sable in particular. It's interesting to note that both women completed a second Playboy pictorial after they left the WWF but neither sold as well as the first. One even led to a lawsuit with the WWF, but that's another story. As for a Diva Playboy edition, who knows? I can't see all of the WWE women posing, but maybe two or three of them could do a shoot together. Stranger things have happened.

Hey, Just wanna see you guys have a kick ass site. I just want to point something out the WWE had the potential for a GREAT feud. Do you remember the Rock vs. Triple HHH match when Lesner and Shawn Michael interfered?. You remember the sweet chin music given to Lesner? That was an opening for the following raw to have a tag match, with Rock and Michaels against Triple HHH and Lesner. Do you agree? or is it just me? One more thing. The Undertaker that was wrestling in the 80's isn't still the one today, because if you look back he doesn't have the tattoo of SARA on his neck. The reason WWE is falling apart is because they have opening's for great feuds and then we get Triple HHH and Kane, boy what a feud that is! Thanx a lot.
I can't really see this working. I doubt all four wrestlers will ever be in the same promotion in the near future and cross-promotional feuds are currently out of the question. Besides, I don't like Lesnar. Big guy, average wrestler, charisma free zone. As for the Undertaker, there's a very simple reason why he didn't have the tattoo of "Sara" on his neck in the early 90's - he's only had the tattoo for a year or so. Until a couple of years ago he was married to someone else. He then married Sara and tattooed her name on his neck. I guess you should have thought that question through a little more carefully, huh?

The question is in reference to the infamous "M.S.G." incident that occurred between the four members of The Clique. Aree said that Triple H's push was held back and that "Triple H was supposed to win King of the Ring that year (1995), but his projected win went to a man you might have heard of - Stone Cold Steve Austin." Steve Austin was crowned King Of The Ring in 1996. In 1995, the honour went to Mabel. I just thought I'd clear up any confusion that may have arisen due to a minor fault in an otherwise great feature of rajah.com.
Thanks for the correction, Richard. I'm not sure what I was thinking because KOTR 1997 is one of my favorite PPV's and I know Triple H was crowned that year. Would it help if I fluttered my eyelashes and looked all helpless and vapid? No? Oh well. I screwed up, it happens. Thanks for the clarification.

Hi, your still is still kicking major ass, so well done guys. I have a few questions. First off, when it comes to guys like HHH, and the Undertaker, what is seriously wrong with them, RVD for example, is crying out to be a main eventer, he faces triple H and is jobbed out of the building, same with the Undertaker, and the appalling finish to Unforgiven. Can Vince, the supposed owner of WWE, not just tell these guys that if they don't do the job, they can get the hell out? I know these guys are money, but, even though I am not a fan of the guy, for me The Rock is the WWE franchise, and even though he's now doing movies, they could bring him back for five minutes, and the crowd would pop. Also, Do you think Vince is an idiot? Isn't it about time he gave the ECW guys a lot more coverage. ECW, if March 2001 never happened, would of become the number 2 fed in the US, it had a hell of a lot of fans, fans which would of give Vince more revenue if the ECDubbers were used correctly, and not jobbed out at Invasion. Finally, who do you think will be the next generation of main eventers, my moneys on RVD, and Rey Mysterio at least. Thanks for your time
Do I think Vince is an idiot? Let me see - he's a billionaire, runs a Fortune 500 company, wears Armani suits, has been married for over 30 years, has Shawn Michaels' cell phone number and has revolutionised the wrestling industry and unleashed it on a global scale. No, Barry, I don't think Vince McMahon is an idiot.
We'll never know if ECW would have stepped up to be the second promotion, but I doubt it. Heyman didn't have great financial backing and his product was targeted at a small section of wrestling fans. The guy didn't go broke for no reason, you know.
First of all, Vince is more than the "supposed owner" of WWE. He owns World Wrestling Entertainment lock, stock and two smoking barrels. He is the man, end of story. Most wrestlers don't have a lot of choice in whom they wrestle or when they lose and when they win. In many respects they're like actors - they're given a script and they follow it. The Rock is certainly the current franchise of the WWE, but bringing him back for five minutes wouldn't solve long term ratings problems. And it seems to me that the WWE hate relying on one star to hold the show together. I don't think The Rock could improve the current state of the WWE just by being on TV once or twice. Maybe the ratings would jump a little, for a while, but the WWE's problems right now do not center around lack of talent.

Love the mailbag section very much. Anyways, do you believe the WWE had the right in forcing Test to cut his hair and to completely change his physical appearance? It's not that the new look doesn't suit him, because it does, but I just feel that the WWE is blind because they honestly believe a *different* look will help establish a wrestler. Had Test not cut his hair and ultimately change his ring attire, do you believe he would have been fired or thrown to the dog shed and basically become a jobber for the rest of his career? Thanks.
Dog shed? I thought the saying was "dog house". I don't think the WWE "forced" Test to cut his hair in quite the way you're describing. I doubt they said "cut your hair or you're fired". It was probably strongly suggested to Test that for the better of his career a new look was in order and only a complete bonehead would ignore that sort of suggestion. Hair and costume do not maketh the wrestler, but you'd be surprised at how an adjustment in the way someone looks can change the fan's reaction to him or her. Case in point, if Steve Austin grew his hair (which is a very light blond, by the way) and started wearing pink long pants to the ring, fan reaction to him would probably change. However, in Test's case I think having Stacey Kiebler accompany him to the ring is going to get him over way more than short hair and short pants ever could.

Your site is unbeatable. Ok so I know I am a product of mid 90's wrestling, but tell me what you think of this. Bret Hart Returns and destroys WWE, he becomes the leader in the "Anti-Movement" against WWE and there horrible storylines. He brings back people from the past that WWE has screwed(Macho Man, Austin...exc) He could start the Next wave of DX, or nWo!
Bring Hogan back to wrestle McMahon at Wrestlemania and Hogan wins.
Don't you agree that WWE needs to write more comedy bits? When DX started they were Funny. nWo started they were funny. APA was funny. REFORM THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS!
Ok, I think I am just about done here. Thanks for reading, and I think you site rules!
I edited this a fair bit. There were several other ideas in there that I didn't think the world was ready for. Bret Hart: Interesting idea, but I have a real problem with storylines that try and make me believe a wrestler is trying to destroy the company they work for. That takes suspension of belief just a little too far. Besides, all that stuff was covered in McMahon vs Austin parts 1 through 10. And no one should even think about bringing back Randy Savage. Hogan vs McMahon: This isn't anywhere near as interesting as the prospect of Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon. If I was Bret I'd make sure I got in a few stiff shots. WWE Comedy: I totally agree. The past few episodes of Raw have actually had me laughing out loud and I realised how much I've missed the funny parts of wrestling. New Age Outlaws: This isn't out of the question, but the WWE would have to get back a cleaned up Road Dogg and with a stacked roster already, they don't really need his mediocre talents. The site rules: Thanks, we like it.
