My question is more of an opinion question. With the recent release of the WWE's Anthology CD (I have a copy and I love it) in your opinion, which themes do you think should of been on there, never should of been put on this CD and should be on the next one if they decide to do one? Thanks. Keep up the good work.
I've been meaning to buy Anthology. Maybe Santa will bring me a copy for Christmas if I'm a good girl. The main themes I can think of that aren't on there are ones like Undertaker's use of Kid Rock's song (obviously not on there for copyright reasons), and a few of the themes of various PPV's. Also they skipped out on Mable's theme (this is a good thing), The Patriot's theme (this is a joke because Angle's theme was the Patriot's theme), The Oddities theme (as sung by the Insane Clown Posse who really are insane and probably denied copyright) and a few of Bam Bam Bigelow's themes. There's probably a lot more that I can't think of right now. Looking at the list, I must say the WWE have done a pretty good job of capturing the most memorable themes. Hulk Hogan's "Real American" is my all time favourite, followed closely by the DX theme "Break It Down" and Ted Dibiase's "Money". I also like the "Oh You Didn't Know?" New Age Outlaws theme and McMahon's "No Chance In Hell". They should have left out: "You Look So Good to Me" (annoying), Sunny's "I Know You Want Me" theme (also annoying), Smokin' Gunns (lame guns firing off every two seconds), "With My Baby Tonight" (Jeff Jarrett pretending to sing the Road Dogg's irritating country and western style song), "1-2-3" was also not the greatest theme song in creation and "Snapped" was a little too Psycho for me. I was glad to see "You Start The Fire" and "Tell Me a Lie" on there because while they aren't great songs, they sum up a moments in WWF history and tell the story of the events they're related to. For those people who know that No Holds Barred is one of my all time favourite movies, how exciting is it that they included the NHB theme on Anthology?!

Hi again, First off, thanks for the grilling you gave my letter in issue 51, I guess its always a reality to check to hear someone who thinks the exact opposite of you especially in wrestling. As the saying goes one mans garbage is another mans goldmine! Anyway, in reply to the question about the PTC, anyone who is interested in the WWF/E vs PTC battle, should check out Mick Foley: Foley is Good, the last chapter (The epilogue) is mostly about this battle, and how Foley and other wrestlers contributed in the fed's defence.
Yeah, sorry about that Barry. I just re-read my response to you and I did grill you kinda hard. One man's garbage is another man's goldmine. And one man's goldmine is another woman's opportunity to grill people on a wrestling website. Thanks for the information on the PTC.

In your last Mailbag you said that You didnt know who the Knights were at Survivor Series
They Were
Black Knight- Jeff Gaylord
Blue Knight - Greg Valentine
Red Knight- Barry Horowitz Thanks.
From: Jerrod Griffiths
Hey guys, I love the site and check it everyday, so I thought I'd help ya out with some errors on the last mailbag. The 3 Knights were Barry Horowitz, Greg Valentine and somebody else, (not Glen Jacobs as many of you think). Come on Aree, I love ya girl but you shouldve known that one. And as for Just Joe, he is wrestling as Joe E. Legend with WWA (not that anyone cares). As for my question, I was wondering what your opinions were with Vince Russo in NWA-TNA. I personally am starting to dislike the product as he is wasting good talent with stupid matches such as Chains N Chairs. I was also wondering from a personal standpoint who your favorite worker of all-time was. Personally I loved Mr. Perfect and Bret Hart (in their primes of course) Ok, I'm spent, later.
Why should I know the names to all three knights when you only knew the names of two?
It's kind of hard to gauge the impact that Vince Russo is having or has had on NWA-TNA. There are so many conflicting reports and as I'm not familiar with the product I can't really comment. Russo is overrated as a writer/booker. However, he's one of the few people in the industry who have a proven track record as a "successful" (note the quotes) and experienced professional wrestling storyline writer. My favourite worker of all time is naturally Shawn Michaels. I'm also fond of Hogan and Bret Hart. Right now, for some weird reason I'm really loving Scott Steiner. However, I think that's a 24 hour thing and I should be back to normal soon.

Hi, great site guys... My question is about the Ultimate Warrior. I had heard a few years ago that he had died! I know this not to be true but was wondering where this rumour came from. Thanks...
Who knows where these rumors actually come from? There are several rumors that have been circulated for so long in the wrestling industry that they've become the wrestling equivalent of urban legends, and the Warrior being dead is one of them. Perhaps the confusion arose when Kerry Von Erich, who looked a great deal like the Warrior and had a pretty similar gimmick, killed himself. I suppose some people might have seen an obituary picture of him in his wrestling gear and thought it was the Warrior. Then again, maybe the Ultimate Warrior started the rumour himself because he is one seriously weird dude.

Hi.Very nice website. My question is why doesn't WWE wrestlers do any more Piledrivers? I know Undertaker and Kane does Tombstone rarely. I've just started watching WWE about 6-7 months ago and I've seen like 2 Piledrivers so far only in PPVs. My friend told me that he saw several Piledrivers over the past years. Is Piledriver some sort of an illegal move now or is it too dangerous for wrestlers to use it? What happened to it?
From: Eric Hartnett
Awesome site! If I had to choose between watching WWE or reading your site, I'd probably have to give up watching. I have a couple of quick questions.
1. I've seen it mentioned a few times on this site that WWE doesn't allow some of the wrestlers to use all of the moves that they have at their disposal. Why is that?
2. What happened to the granddaddy of power moves, the piledriver? I don't ever see anyone using it anymore.
These two questions are addressing the same issue, so I'll clear them up together. It's not really that they don't "let" the wrestler use all of their moves, they just discourage the use of certain moves with a high danger level on a regular basis. Unless you're Jeff Hardy who the WWE let do a wide variety of crazy and stupid stunts. That kid is going to end up dead or severely injured by the time he's 30. The main reason the WWE tell the rest of their wrestlers to hold back on the high risk moves a pretty selfish one - to protect their talent and their product. With a move like the piledriver and the power bomb, there's a high risk of injury to both the wrestlers performing the move and the wrestler on the end of the move. Owen Hart broke Steve Austin's neck with a piledriver and D'Lo Brown crippled Droz for life with a power bomb. The WWE decided that these moves, and a few others, would be taken out of regular matches as a safety measure, and would instead be saved up for special occasions. You still see them every now and then, but certainly not as much as you used to.

WHY IS JOSH MATTHEWS NOT WRESTLING? Was he hurt?
He was never signed to a contract as a wrestler. They hired him for his speaking skills, ie. for interviewing purposes. But of course, that's not to say that he will never wrestle but the idea everyone seems to get is that WWE doesn't see him with much of a future as a wrestler due to his small size.

can you please do a 2001 record book
I wish we could, but I kinda chalk it up as a failed venture. Pete did the 2000 Record Book and other than it being extremely time consuming, it went well. Because of how much work it took, we didn't do one for 2001 but we got someone to volunteer to do the 2002 book, though it looks as if he
has bailed on it. I'm guessing time played a huge factor in it. Anyway, I don't think the record book will be back anytime soon, if ever again. But if you anyone needs any specific results from this year or any previous year, contact me because I pretty much save everything.

Hi I really love the site. I have just one question, I know Rey Misterio got injured but how did he get injured? Was it in a match? Thanks and keep up the good work.
There wasn't any one incident that caused the injury. From its description here and in other sports, it sounds like an injury that just builds up through years of wear and tear. It's just an arthroscopic surgery which is relatively minor compared to reconstructive surgery.

Hey... Great sight... I've been a regular visitor for well over 3 years now.... My question is about house show and televised show payoffs.... How are they determined and is that where most wrestlers make their money? Also, aside from food, and personal expenses, does the WWE cover the wrestlers travel expenses like air fare and rental cars. Thanks and keep up the good work...
I'm not sure of the specifics of any wrestler's contract, but I always assumed they made their money through: a) their base salary, b) merchandise and c) PPV payoffs. Base salary is of course "x" amount of money that they are guaranteed per month or per year. Merchandise is obviously determined by the wrestler getting a certain cut of all revenues generated
from his or her merchandise and the PPV payoff, I'm not sure how it is determined but whoever wrestles on a PPV is in line for a certain amount. That's why for the big PPVs, WWE tries to fit as many wrestlers as possible on the actual card and that's why in the past, there have been some arguments and stuff when some low-end wrestlers aren't given matches. As for the travel expenses, anything over a few hundred miles, WWE
will cover expenses for (usually this means airfare) but when guys travel from show to show that are in close vicinity to one another they are responsible for rental car fees. Only meals immediately before shows are paid for. Again, I'm not completely sure of all this but I guess that's the main gist of it.

Hi guies, brilliant website and I visit every single day without fail (even while revising for exams and scrambling to complete uni assignments)! Sorry if this question has previously been asked, but being blind makes it difficult to check old mail bags to see if my question's been answered, or not. I just wanted to ask who was Sensational Sherrie and what happened to her (where is she and what does she do now)?
I don't know exactly what you mean by who she was, but "Sensational" Sherri's real name is Sherri Martel and she's still around, wrestling occasionally as an "indy wrestler". In fact, earlier this year, she competed in a few events at Ohio Valley Wrestling, sparking some rumors that she may be headed back to WWE. That probably won't be happening though.
