Hey guys, I was just trying to figure out the WWE's major titles. So the Smackdown title used to be the Undisputed Title so its higher than the RAW World Title Right? But the names make it confusing Smackdown Championship" and "World Title"! So are we just supposed to look at them as completely different and not comparable?? Thanks for your input
People continue to put too much thought into this one. Forget about the history of the titles, and just believe that the two titles are the pinnacle of their respective shows. The WWE Championship belt wasn't known as the "undisputed title", it was just the WWF title. When one wrestler held both belts just after WCW and the WWF merged, he was known as the "undisputed champion". I agree that continually referring to the old WCW title as the "World Title" is confusing. They should just call it the Raw Title and get on with it. I don't think we'll be seeing one wrestler with both titles in an "undisputed" scenario for quite some time, if ever again. The WWE is deadly serious about their roster split and brand extension and will not compromise it easily.

ur website is awesome no doubt about it. i have never visited n e other wwe site more than i do urs.remember when stone cold used to be the champ he used to have his own smoking skull belt. but ater the vince/austin feud got over and when he became the champ after that we never saw that belt????.and abt the divas there is a demand for the superstars to posses short hair id like to c the divas in short hair too (torrie and lita) can tht happen!!!!!!!!!!
I spoke briefly about the Smokin' Skull belt several mailbags ago. I believe Steve Austin was given that belt and has it displayed above his mantelpiece at his home in San Antonio, Texas. As for a diva with short hair, sure it could happen. However there's this myth that women subscribe to which involves the idea that men prefer women with long hair. Actually, every man I've asked about the subject, except one (I haven't forgotten your opinion on this one Michael, but I'm still not cutting my hair) agree that long hair is more "feminine" than short. Molly has short hair, but I don't think she's considered to be a "diva" in the truest sense.

hey guys,
what has happened to all the great stipulation matches like first blood, iron man, i quit matches. they were great! i know they can't be done a lot but they haven't been done for ages and it create a bit more interest in people. all it seems to be is cage matches, ladder match, street fights and hell in a cell. they're all right but i want to see something different. even a last man standing match would be good. what do you think?
I agree that stipulation matches are a lot of fun. Who could forget the "Kiss My Foot" match that Jerry Lawler and Bret Hart had? Or the "Winner Loses His Hair" match that involved X-Pac and Jeff Jarrett? Or HHH vs Henry Godwinn in an "Arkansas Hog Pen" match? I'm not sure why the WWE don't use as many of these stipulation matches as they usual. Perhaps it's yet another symbol of the WWE's move towards "reality". Two guys beating the shit out of each other in a ring is more "real" than agreeing to kiss someone's foot, lose your hair or get dunked in mud in a hog pen, complete with real hogs. Plus, the WWE had a great deal of success with the "Tables Ladders and Chairs" scenario and in typical fashion, they hammered it until we were all sick of it. The point is that I agree, there should be more stipulation matches, with the possible exception of the iron man match. That match can only be performed by such a small and select fraternity of elite wrestlers so its impact would be ruined by continual misuse.

Hey rajahwwf.com (great site)! i just want to know why WWE is disappearing from Australian TV, first it was smackdown now i just read that we will no longer be able to get ppv. please reply
I'm not sure about this. Apparently the channel that showed Smackdown in Australia didn't elect to pick it up again at the end of the contract period. Instead they picked up another kind of wrestling, which was probably cheaper. The PPV situation was mentioned on the newsboard a few weeks back and apparently the channel that shows PPV's in Australia failed to reach an agreement with the WWE. I seem to recall something about the WWE wanting more money than the channel in question thought was appropriate. Perhaps the WWE upped their asking price based on the success of their "down under" tour some months back. Not the wisest move on the WWE's behalf. With revenue WAY down in North America, they should be trying to build up foreign markets, not reduce them.

Hey Guys I love the site I've been coming here for about a year and a half. My question is remember a couple of years ago there was a referee strike. Was that a hoax or real because the wrestlers were the referees during that "strike" period.
We don't like the word "hoax". Instead, let us say that the referee strike was a storyline.

Hey great site. I found it back in 1999 shortly after I started watching WWE(F)and visit everyday. (End of suck up!) My question is: Why do they anounce the wrestlers home towns when they walk down to the ring?
I've thought about this one, and I think the reason for it harks back to the days when wrestling was conducted in territories. For example, you could create a little heat from the audience by saying your heel wrestler was from another state or city. "He's from Miami, he must be bad news up here in Orlando" or "He's must be a jerk because he talks slow and hails from Alabama and shouldn't be here in Atlanta". These days, it really doesn't mean much and quite often if the wrestler has a noticeable gimmick, the "home towns" are made up. For example, the Undertaker is from Texas, but it suited his character to hail from "Death Valley, California". Val Venis was supposedly from Las Vegas, Nevada which suited his porn star character, because where else would a porn star hail from but the city of sin?

Hey Rajah I love your web page and I wrote something funny I thought you'd like. In between the commercials of "Smackdown" tonight, I started writing down what I hoped some members of WWE got for Christmas. Here's what I came up with WHAT I HOPE WWE SUPERSTARS GOT FOR XMAS
Vince Mc Mahon: Better and PG-rated storylines for "Raw"
Stephanie Mc Mahon: A voice-changing operation
Kurt Angle: Pair of ear plugs so for just one night he won't have to hear people say, "You S - - -!"
Big Show: A better gimmick
Paul Heyman- A mute button that WWE control
Hulk Hogan- A reality check
Chris Benoit- Appointment with a dentist
Eric Bischoff- Pair of forceps to help him remove his head from his butt
Mick Foley- Invitation to the "Raw 10th Anniversary Special"
Dudley Boyz- Never ending supply of wood
Spike Dudley- 50-lb box of chocolates
HHH- Court order banning him from attending WWE meetings
Rikishi- A never ending beat to dance to
Kane- A few sessions with Dr. Phil
Hurricane- For Spiderman to join him as a sidekick
Bill DeMott- An attitude adjustment
Test- His hair back
Jeff Hardy- A sense of responsibility
John Cena- Hardcore match vs. Vanilla Ice
RVD- A drug test (no one is THAT mellow on pure air)
Chavo Guerrero- A muzzle
Billy Kidman- More air time
Edge- A haircut
Christian, William Regal, and Lance Storm- Deportation papers
Rey Mysterio- A speedy recover (I miss 6-1-9)
A-Train- A BIG razor (not for his face!)
JR- Bischoff tied to Santa's sleigh and dear old St. Nick hands JR a pair of brass nucks
Lawler- Prozac and whatever is the opposite of Viagra
I included this because I thought it was funny, except for the one about Eric Bischoff.

Hey guys, great site etc etc! .. I was just wondering why some of the themes on Anthology sound different to ones that have been used (well, in my opinion, maybe my memory is wrong) .. such as Kurt Angle's .. i think it sounds so much better on the version on Anthology with guitars etc, but I dont ever remember it being used like that? Even tho it's in the "Attitude" section, is it actually an OLD one? Or an unused version? I can understand why they mite think it doesnt suit him. And like HHH's one on the NOW! cd, that's like a mix of the Motorhead lyrics with one of his old themes .. did they just stick some of these on for novelty value or have plans to use them do u think? What ones do u think SHOULD be used? (personally I didn't think King Of My World was a good theme for Jericho so glad they pulled it!)
Okay, first of all Kurt Angle's theme on Anthology. He used it very briefly (about a week or so) I guess cause WWE wanted to test out the reaction but they ended up going back to the original. The reason they put on the Anthology CD is probably for marketting purposes. They wanted the Anthology CD to contain themes that were either rare or exclusive, because Angle's "Medal" theme is already on located WWE Volume 5. This one, entitled "I Don't Suck" had never been previously released on any CD and that was one of the selling points
to Anthology. Triple H's theme - there was a point in time in late 2000/early 2001 I believe where Triple H returned after a brief hiatus, WWE wanted him to have a different theme than Stephanie because she had started using his. The Anthology version was written and recorded but before it could be released, WWE and Motorhead came to an agreement and they just went straight to that.

I have been hearing rumors that Mick Foley might be coming back to the wwe and getting some in ring action, i was wondering if you can tell me if it is true or false or if yo had no clue about this?
There is no truth to him coming back to WWE in a wrestling capacity. He may appear on the 10th Anniversary special, but that's about where it would end.

Are any of the current Samoan wrestlers related (i.e. - The Rock, Rikishi, Jamal, and Rosie)? What about past Samoan wrestlers? I was told that The Rock and Rikishi are cousins. Is this true?
Rosey and Jamal, who are cousins, are Rikishi's nephews. Rock and Rikishi are more or less cousins. Rock's maternal grandfather (Peter Maivia) was a brother (adopted) of Rikishi's mother.

Great Site. When wwe events are exported to many different countries and in those countries shown early and are edited for swearing etc. does that channel edit them or the wwe
I always thought it was the individual channels that were responsible for editting whatever material they see fit. However, if you ask the said channels about said editting, most of them will claim that WWE sends over an editted copy of their
shows.

What happened to all the wrestling magazines that were around a few months ago? It seems like most of them disappeared, my favorite was World Of Wrestling which I thought was very good.
Hmmm, I'm not really sure as I kinda stopped reading independent wrestling magazines in the 90s, but I would guess that the nature of the industry forced a lot of them out. Wrestling just isn't as popular as it used to be and there's a good chance that many of those
magazines weren't turning in a profit, especially when all they could cover was WWE and some much smaller promotions. With WWE churning out their own magazines, it was a virtual monopoly, just like the actual business itself.

Hi Rajah, I go to your site regularly, and I want to thank you for the years of good work. Anyways to the question, I'm pretty confused about "The Rock's" situation. He seems to come back, win the title and then leave again. When I first started watching wrestling, It seems he's never around anymore. I was just wondering if he's ever destined for a full return, or are movies constricting him to only to very limited time to the wwe.
Unfortunately, I think the Rock will never be a full-time wrestler ever again, unless he experiences absolutely no success with his movies, which is a longshot. At the same time though, I think he will always be connected to the business in some way, even if it's just through a couple special appearances a year. WWE technically owns the rights to the name "The Rock" and Dwayne Johnson the person can't market himself as the Rock unless he gets
permission from WWE. If he were to completely dissociate himself from wrestling, Vince probably would not let him use the name which in turn, would hurt his movie career.
