I just wanted to comment on the horrible job the producers/writers did with the raw 10th anniversary special. No real guest surprises, and just mainly focusing on the last few years with 80 percent of the material focusing stone cold steve Austin. In the category of wrestler of the decade, i DO agree with Austin winning, but the mere fact that Shawn Michaels wasn't even a nominee was absolutely horrible. Were talking about a guy who was referred to as the wrestler of the 90's. A guy who put the ladder match on the map, the hell in the cell on the map, headlining WrestleManias, the first ever "grand slam champion", and he gets NO mention for wrestler of the decade?!?!?! It was a very bad overlook by the wwe, and i hope that HBK was very insulted. I vented and now I'm done, i just hope that you feel the same way... thank you very much

I didn't see it, but I've heard that it fell well below expectations. The thing with WWE award shows is that you can't take them too seriously. It's been a long time since the Slammy Award ceremonies that the WWF held in 96 and 97, and most of today's fan based probably haven't seen them or don't remember. If you had seen them, you might not have been as disappointed with the WWE's Tenth Anniversary Raw. In a word, they're lame. "Best Buns", "Worst Wardrobe", the "I Can't Shut My Mouth" award and the list goes on. They shouldn't be taken as a serious reflection of the WWE and the Stone Cold win was obviously part of a storyline. I doubt HBK was insulted because the show, and the awards, are meaningless.

you have a great site here as i can see of. i just have one thing to ask of when id hbk or hogan getting a new theme i am getting sick of hearing this sexy boy song its been around since like when he came in i know hes not a sexy man no more ( wife thinks that ) he too old to really be in it and he has no real good mic skills like he did when in the dx

With a name like Mark, you're probably a guy. In which case you're not really equipped to judge on whether or not Shawn Michaels is still sexy. Trust me, he is. Also, his song is part of his legacy and as the WWE are pushing his former glory hard, they're unlikely to change his song. Same with Hogan. People associate the star with the music and the WWE don't like to mess with that in regards to long timers like Hogan and HBK. Didn't you ever wonder why they didn't change Stone Cold's music? Sure, they re-mixed it a little, but it's all still there. As for HBK's mic skills, he was never a natural on the mic and he still isn't. No change there.

I know I'm probably being a bit gullible here but is it really true that Aree was in Playboy? If so can you tell me what issue so I don't have to take out a second mortgage on the house to buy every issue for the last 7 years? Thanks.

No, it's not really true. I was just having a little fun. Girls talk about that sort of thing, you know. I remember talking about it with various people over the years and I used to say, "Yeah, I'd pose for Playboy". Then I was walking down the street one day and a guy from Cosmopolitan asked me if I'd model a swimsuit for the magazine because they were doing one of those "non-professional model" editions. I thought about it for 10 seconds and said "Are you crazy? No way". Then I realized that if I wouldn't pose in a swimsuit for Cosmo, I sure as hell wouldn't pose naked for Playboy. And so ends Aree's dream of being one of Hef's bunnies. Still, that was a couple of years ago and I've become more liberated lately, so who knows? If I get asked again, I might just say yes.

Ok i know this is going to make me sound like a big pervert but in the most recent mail bag there was a reference to you doing playboy was that for real (i live in Ireland and we can only get special edition playboys e.g. college girls cus ads for cigarettes are banned :( if its true could you say what issue so i can get hold of a copy? Ok so on to wrestling when exactly is torrie wilson going to do playboy(only kidding!) Seriously as overall performers who would make your top five list including vince, bischoff and possible even more interesting who is the worst (got to be linda doesn't it) Thanks

It makes you a big pervert, Johnny. Huge, in fact. Aree's Top Five Current Performers:
Rob Van Dam - the future of the WWE
HBK - for obvious reasons
Edge - lately I've been looking favourably on Edge, but it might not last
Vince McMahon - just because he's Vince
Triple H - I tried to leave him off the list, but I just can't do it
Aree's Worst Five Current Performers:
Christopher Nowinski - maybe he's just a really good heel and he's making me hate him, but I doubt it
Big Poppa Pump - I love to watching Scott Steiner do his thing, but he is a horror-bad in ring performer
Stephanie - it's a voice thing
I can't think of anyone else that I don't like. I'm pretty easy to please.

Hi guys, question from MKDave. Hey, great site and the Mailbag owns. My question is in regards to the old ECW comedy faction the bWo, with Steven Richards in the middle of a push and the recent signing of Nova do you think we will ever see the bWo again? It would be easy enough to resign The Blue Meanie and they were incredibly over down in Philly. I hope WWE see's sense because Stevie and The Meanie and the bWo carried the ECW undercard for a couple of years. Also wouldn't it be awesome to see Big Stevie Cool, The Blue Guy and Hollywood Nova take on Nash and Hogan.

Cool. We here at rajah.com "own". In regards to a bWo reformation happening, the short answer is no. I don't believe the WWE is interested in reforming a group that was created by ECW for two reasons: 1. The bWo happened about five years ago in ECW. Yes, they were in the WWF for six months but the WWE work in the premise that if it didn't happen in the past month, the fans won't remember. 2. As Rajah has pointed out numerous times, Vince doesn't like using other people's ideas and as the bWo came from ECW, it just ain't gonna happen. Plus, it wasn't really a huge success in the WWF the first time around, so more than likely they won't be going back for seconds.

Great Site guys. My question involves Tough Enough 2 & 3 - We do not get it here in the UK and was wondering: 1) What was the big fuss about the winner(s) of Tough Enough 2? 2) What was the fuss about Hardcore Holly recently?

Both of the winners of Tough Enough 2 were women. It was a bit of a shock because no one expected the WWE to completely overlook the two male finalists. It was all a little embarrassing, particularly when you consider that the two women haven't done much of anything after being signed and the guys were a lot more serious about wrestling and performed a lot better in the training.
I didn't see it, but from what I heard Bob Holly paid out on one of the contestants and went hard on him in the ring. Holly lost it with this guy and everyone was a little shocked. Was it a work? Maybe. I think you'll find that TE3 ratings increased after word of Holly's little temper fit got around and that's enough evidence of a set-up for me.

From the minute I found out that No Way Out was to be held in Montreal I was eager to buy tickets. I live in Ottawa but was willing to drive the 2 hours to Montreal for the show. I had decided that I was only going to attend if I was able to get tickets within the first few rows and searched the net for weeks trying to find any information on what the prices would be like. I waited for weeks and weeks for them to go on sale and when they finally did....I was shocked! Tickets for the seats surrounding the ring were selling for $400!!! My first question is, are prices like the ones for No Way Out common? The second question is, what the hell is the WWE thinking? I think with the poor performances and lack of creativity they have shown in the past year that they haven't earned the right to be charging $400 a ticket.

Yes, prices like that are very common for front row PPV seats. In the past the WWE have even let you keep the seat. A $400 steel chair...neat. There isn't really much to say on this one. Have you ever seen the front rows of a PPV empty? No. People are willing, and certainly do pay such prices. While those people are still around, the WWE will continue to charge ridiculous prices for front row seats. I guess it all depends on how much you want it. I'd probably pay that much to be front row on a PPV card that I was excited about. Otherwise, I'd just stick to the $30 nosebleed section.

Hi, I have been thinking lately about how many ex wcw stars are doing. I know how jarrett, sting, obviously steiner, and luger are doing but there is one i do not know about.....SYCHO SID VICIOUS! I have not heard anything about him in the last year. Please tell me what is ahppening with him? Where is he? what is he doing? will he join the wwe? and when?

Sid broke his foot some time ago on his last stint with WCW. If he's able to, he probably still wrestles in various independents around the country. A return to the WWE is extremely unlikely given the fact that he isn't exactly the greatest guy to have on the roster. He has an evil temper, he's injury prone and he's pushing 45, which makes him ancient in the wrestling world. Plus, there's that little incident where he stabbed Arn Anderson in the arm with a pair of scissors and since Arn currently works for the WWE, I don't think he'd look too kindly on the company acquiring the services of the man who stabbed him.
