Hey there all, great site etc. Straight into the question: What sort of influence do
the fans, you and other websites have over WWE TV? I know that the wrestling bosses can tell if the crowds like something by their responses but as the company makes millions of dollars I'm sure they must do something a little more sophisticated than that. Do you know whether the WWE consults magazine/internet authors or has some sort of a focus group thing with the public or anything like that involving asking soemone outside of the writing team "is this/was this a good idea?"
I don't believe WWE themselves ever initiate contact with any internet personalities or fans to ask them for feedback, but they do accept and listen to whoever
writes them in either through snail mail or email (in fact, they have an email address set up specifically for comments and feedback on their TV shows, Raw and Smackdown!). I have no idea what they do with these opinions, but I'm sure whether directly
or indirectly, a lot of it affects what we see on TV.

Do you have any info where King of the Ring 2003 will be held in June?
This information is not available at this time, but keep checking the site and the schedule section for any updates.

Great site man, Ive been watching wrestling over 20 years and you know your
shit. I only wish vince and the gang would get their shit together and put some real effort
into the shows. Anyway I have a question, a few years back there was a a short lived
group lead by the Jakyl. I know Kurrgan was in it and they where all military types ( sniper,
etc) I believe they changed gimmicks before kurrgan went solo and then became part of
the horrible Oddities gimmick. Just wanted to know if you knew who the other members where.
I think there was just three of them - Kurrgan, Recon and Sniper. There may have also been one other member
that didn't stick around for too long but they were all known as the Truth Commission. Recon was actually recently released WWE wrestler Barry Buchanan (aka Bull Buchanan, B-2, B-Squared, whatever you want to call him).

I love this site, it's the only one that I go to and i would like to know where I can send donations to support it to, and 2nd -a couple years ago maybe in 1999,there was a heavy set guy who was dressed in all white with white hair who interferred in a wwf match(I can't remember which match) ,the next week He did it again and was apprehended by security and since then he never reappeared. Was this Person a real wrestler who's character was scrapped or a crazed fan who took the show too seriously? Thanks a bunch.Hulk Rules!
Yes, he was a real wrestler who was actually under a developmental contract with WWE. His name was Vic Grimes and he came to the company along with Crash Holly at the recommendation of Jim Cornette. Anyway, Grimes appeared only a couple times dressed in white as you mentioned and he was usually seen helping out Droz and Prince Albert at the time. WWE wasn't completely happy with him for whatever reasons and so they
lent or sent him to one of their developmental territories to brush up but he never made it back up to the main roster and eventually ended up in Paul Heyman's ECW.

Hey rajah. Did you receive any e-mails from any of the wwe staff. Do they actually visit fan sites? I mean it would be awesome to get an e-mail from vinne himself complimenting your site, wouldn't it.
Yes, I've received emails (both good and bad) from several WWE employees in the past, though none recently...sniff, sniff. I can tell you that none of the emails were from Vince McMahon though - I actually asked about him once and was told that his email is externally blocked meaning only people within the company can contact him.

What ever happened to the WWE Trivia every week? Is it gonna come back or what?
I had to unfortunately stop it due to lack of time and because it was very difficult to come up with ten new questions each week. However, now that it's been a couple years since it was last up, I'm definitely looking into bringing it back as a regular feature.

hey rajah, can u explain to me what the numbers on the ratings mean? ive looked through the archives and i know someone asked you and you only gave a small explanation, and you said that if anyone wants a full explanation, you would be happy to email them and give the full explanation. I would be very greatfull if you would email me back with the full explanation. and by the way, i love your site, i go to it everyday. it RULZ.
I think I'll stay away from a detailed explanation because I don't want to say anything wrong, but the gist is that one cable ratings point (ie. a 1.0) represents about a 700,000 households. So if Raw draws a 4.0 rating, that is roughly 3 million households that tuned in to see the show. On the other hand, a broadcast rating point is equivalent to about 1,000,000 million households (the difference is that basically every home with a TV has access to
a broadcast network - ABC, CBS, NBC, etc. but they all won't necessarily have cable TV) which means if Smackdown! draws a 3.2 final rating, it is actually being watched in about 3.2 million households. Something that we aren't told is that a few weeks later, the cable ratings are adjusted (lowered) by about 70% to take into account the difference so all the shows can be compared easily. If any TV experts who know about this want to write in and correct me or whatever, please feel
free to drop us a line.

I was watching a then WWF PPV from 1997 and there were
3 announce tables the American, Spanish and French but
now there isnt a French one when did it go and why?
Was the PPV in Canada, or more specifically Quebec? That would explain it though I do remember the French announcing team, cause I think Raymond Rougeau was a part of it but I'm not sure why they got rid of them.

Hi here are a couple questions that i would like your help with the first two are about things i saw on the X anniversarry special of Raw.
1 On the clips of wacky characters WWE have thought up of who was the cruserweight which had chinesse symbols over his body.
2. Who was the referre that died and how and when did he die.
They were Japanese symbols, but the guy's name was Hakushi. As for your second question, the ref's name was Joey Marella. He was the adopted son of Gorilla Monsoon (who was also part of the tribute package) and he died in a car accident. This just reminded me or something that I wanted to bring up somewhere but I think I forgot. Didn't anyone else find it a bit tasteless that
WWE (Shawn Michaels) subtly made fun of Bertha Faye's weight at the beginning of the Raw X program, yet they did not even show her picture or mention her as one of the people who passed away? I mean they showed Andre the Giant and he didn't even ever wrestle on Raw!

As always, top-notch site. Two quick questions:
1) This has been bothering me, maybe you can help...back in the 80s, I want to say mid-to-late 80s, a WWF program used to come on the USA Network...it was 2 hrs long, hosted by Bobby the Brain and I think Gorilla Monsoon, but I'm not sure. They always had toys and stuff on their studio desk, then would cut to video of matches and junk. What was this show called? How much of this show do you remember? I hope I'm not fabricating this in my brain, which I tend to do sometimes.
2) Do you think Aree Jones would marry me?
I believe the program you are referring to was called "WWF All American Wrestling", which I guess would make sense since it aired on the USA Network
and had an American theme to it. I do remember it quite clearly and in fact, I remember one episode where they had a turkey on it cause it was right before Thanksgiving or something. Hmmm, I hope I'm not fabricating this.
And you're second question, Aree either missed this question or purposely ignored it. Since she's not here, I'll answer for her: YES, SHE WILL MARRY YOU. May you two live happily ever after.

Great job as always. Why did the WWE break up the team of Sean O'Haire and Chuck Columbo soon after they entered the WWE??? I thought they were a nice blend of new tag team talent instead of the usual makeshift teams. I see they are now bringing O'Haire back. Any chance of rejoining Columbo?? Also, what happened to CHRONIC?? I know they were a little rusty in their debut matches, but they were quickly gone from the WWE after a few events. Any word on either of those two??
O'Haire wasn't ready to be in WWE when he entered along with the other WCW superstars. If rumor is to be believed, O'Haire actually went to management himself and asked to be taken off TV and placed in a developmental territory so he could improve which WWE graciously granted him. I'm not sure about any plans for him as it pertains to a reunion with Chuck Palumbo, but I highly doubt they will go that route. And finally, Kronik a little rusty?? What were you watching?! Dude, they were horrible in like their only PPV match
which sealed their fate. Both were released and only hung around that long because Brian Adams (Crush) was friends with Undertaker.

I'm sure these questions have been asked and answered before, but I'm new here
so please forgive the repetitive nature.
Whatever happened to Steve Blackman? I know he had the injury problems and the headaches, but even before the Ross Report was cancelled, I saw no mention of him. Was he released from his contract? Did he retire? What's the story there?
And what are the chances that when Scotty 2 Hotty does return at mid-year, Vince will resign Grandmaster Sexay? I know there's never been that huge a clamor for a Too Cool redux, but hell, I liked them and they could be a fun tag team again. With Jerry Lawler in the company you gotta think there's a chance, and with Eddie Guerrero having been rehired after his release, how come Brian doesn't get a second chance?
There is always a chance of anything happening in WWE as long as Vince McMahon runs it. I know last year there were lots of rumors that the company was ready to unite all three of Scotty, Brian and Rikishi
but that didn't happen. A lot of people in WWE feel that Brian is a good guy and the incident leading to his release was unfortunate and coupled with the fact that he is Jerry Lawler's son - I think he definitely could be back.
I think his contract was just not extended after it expired both due to his health problems and the fact that WWE had no role or storyline for him.

1. What is the chance of factions, such as the new "four horsemen" becoming
popular again? It would help get more wrestlers tv time and make storylines
stronger.
2. It's a WCW question, but who was in the group that Major Gunns was in. It had Lash Leroux, Bill DeMott, and Chavo Guerroro but in different names.
2. Lash Leroux was known as Corporal Cajun, Bill DeMott was known General E. Rection and Chavo Guerrero was Lt. Loco. There was also someone named Sgt. Awol and before Major Gunns was managing them, there were also
G.I. Bro (Booker T) and Major Stash.
1. Well, I think they are already slowly becoming more popular. Triple H's group, Paul Heyman's stable, Nunzio seems to be forming one, etc. etc.
