If Buff Bagwell was still in the WWE, do you think he would be wrestling top stars like Triple H? Also, coincidentally, how did Buff Bagwell get fired so quickly? I remember reading about it on all across the Internet, but what exactly happened?

Buff just didn't have the stuff to make it in the WWE. Sorry, couldn't resist. Buff Bagwell didn't agree with the WWE on their assessment of his abilities, where they placed him in the roster, how much they wanted him to work, how they wanted to place him in storylines, where he sat in the title picture.well, you get my point. Buff and the WWE agreed on nothing, so Buff left. Buff Bagwell is known to have a large ego, and the WWE weren't suffering any fools at that point and refused to humor him. No great loss, to be sure.

I was wondering if you knew why they decided to take away the European and Intercontinental Championships, cause it seems to me all of a sudden everyone who qualifies for those champions ships are in tag maches now and/or in pointless, boring matches to take up time. But i guess if they still had those 2 championships there would be more only 2 guys fighting for the same championship for 3 months until someone new steps in it. Thanks a lot.

I have to say that the WWE's decision to scrap the European and IC titles was a head scratcher. Especially the IC title, which had an entire legacy behind it and was basically known to be the pre-cursor to a World title win. I can't think of a good reason why the WWE would have scrapped the titles and I wouldn't be surprised to see them bring them back one day.
I hate to point out the obvious, but Dale stated "if they still had those two championships there would be more [of] only 2 guys fighting for the same championship for three months until someone else steps in". That's pretty much what pro wrestling is in a nutshell, Dale. Two guys fighting over a belt, or two guys fighting to be able to fight someone else for a belt. It ain't rocket science.

hey love the site, anyway i wanted to respond to something i saw in the mailbag about the ringside seats at ppv's. i live in seattle home of wrestlemania xix, and have been a wwe fan for about 5 years. well i paid over $1000 to get ringsides which i have, so i guess the wwe deserves it if im stupid enough to pay that much money.

You paid $1000 for ringside Wrestlemania seats? Wow. I have to say that I wouldn't pay $1000. Hell, I wouldn't pay $500. I'm not surprised that Wrestlemania ringside seats are more expensive than other PPV's, but a thousand bucks.that's mildly excessive to say the least. I hope you at least get to keep the chair.

I never had much care to send in a mailbag question because I could never think of a question to ask UNTIL today when I read someones question about world wrestling entertainment men superstars doing PlayGirl and I read Aree Jones reply and the first thing that came too mind was Aree Jones is the voice of the female wrestling fans and we really need more girls like Aree Jones. So my question to you voice of female wrestling fans is could you please list your TOP FIVE male superstars in the wwe that you would run to pick of a copy of playgirl if they were on the cover and had a full nude spread out inside? Pick carefully and thank you Aree Jones for being a kick ass chick like me lol

I couldn't resist this one. Even knowing that I'm probably going to irritate the 99% of rajah.com visitors who are male. Consider it revenge for every comment I've had to read about some diva being in Playboy. First of all, totally naked isn't necessary. I've always thought that pictorials of completely naked men border on the ridiculous. Some guy lying in a jungle with a brooding look on his face trying to look cool while totally nude just makes me want to laugh. But if I could have any five superstars partially naked (to limit the laughter and ridiculous factor and increase the sexy factor) I'd have to go with: 1. Rob Van Dam (last time I said that some guy emailed me offering soft porn pictures of someone who looked a whole lot like RVD - this is not necessary) 2. Shawn Michaels (yes, I know he's done it before but Chyna did two Playboy spreads, as did Sable so why shouldn't HBK go again?) 3. Vince McMahon (just kidding, although I once saw a poster with Vince's head pasted on Shawn's Playgirl centrefold with the words "Vinnie Mac - A Fine Stud" next to it which I thought was particularly funny) 4. Maven (why not? It might increase his profile a little) 5. Test - (I'm not sure why I've chosen Test. To be honest, I just want to have a look at him)

Hey Guyz....the greatest wwe fan site I can tell so far.....keep it up.....can u please tell me the real reason for the heat between golberg and hhh???....I heard that it aroused from an incident years ago.....please tell me....and tell me y jerry lawler and Kat separated....thanx

"Aroused"? I think you mean "arose", although we are talking about Jerry Lawler here, so who knows? Lawler and Kat (Stacy Carter) broke up because she's a fame hungry, money grabbing little cat. I don't think it was a coincidence that she cashed Lawler in for a younger model soon after he was fired from/walked out on the WWE. Lawler more or less gave Stacy a career, first in his Memphis promotion and later in the WWF. When Stacy became more of a diva than the WWF wanted, they dumped her. Lawler said if she went he went, so Vince McMahon said "bye". After that, the marriage broke up (the Lawlers had been married for little more than a year, but had been together for 10 years or so). Word is that Stacy has been trying to reconcile with Lawler ever since he was reinstated into the WWE. Once again, I doubt this is a coincidence. They didn't call her "kat" for nothing, you know. As for Goldberg and Triple H, I think it was a series of catty (sorry) comments the two men had made about each other over a period of years. I don't think they have serious heat towards one another and I would hope that both would put their egos aside if they had to work together for the sake of wrestling in general.

This one is for Aree. I may have missed something somewhere but in one of the recent mailbags I couldn't help but notice a few cheap shots at the Living Legend and King of the World Y2J Chris Jericho. What's the connection there? (i.e. Jericho arrives late for work without punishment, and "ass clowns".

I've never made a secret of the fact that I'm not a Jericho lover. When he was in WCW I didn't have any violent objection to him but ever since he joined the WWE I've discovered that I don't like him at all. It's one of those situations where he comes on screen and I think "Oh man." or "Boring" or "Get the hook!" However, I agree that he is a talented in ring performer. He's worked hard and he does deserve to be elevated up to "real" main event status. As far as I know, Jericho hasn't been chewed out for being late to work. I just pulled his name out of thin air to use as an example of someone who was in a certain roster position that allowed him or her to pull rank. However, I was serious about the "ass clowns" comment. I think it's ridiculous to base an entire feud on the fact that Jericho called Booker T an "ass clown". That's not necessarily Jericho's fault, but it's a convenient reason for me to dislike him.

Hey Rajah Staff! Love the site.. been coming here daily for years... on to the question: Towards the end of Rey Mysterio Jr.'s career in WCW he wrestled with his mask off... obviously a large statement to make considering the traditions and legends behind having a mask as a luchador wrestler. My question is, why when he came to WWE did he again start wearing the mask? If people last remembered him without his mask on, then it seems that the WWE would want to capatalize on this familiarity and keep him unmasked. Also, it is commonly known when a wrestler's mask is removed, it is looked at as disgraceful as he is never allowed to wear the same mask again. But isn't the mask that he wears in WWE the same design that he's always worn? Please help clear up why WWE or Rey himself may have made these decision with all things considered. Thank you very much for your time.

I think that it was because of the fact that Rey Mysterio was so well known to fans that they made the decision to keep him masked. A lot of the WWE's fans were familiar with Rey and due to his distinct style and appearance (I think he's amazing, but he's only about 5'3" and there simply isn't many wrestlers of that size around in the WWE's "Land of the Giants") so the WWE didn't have to worry about keeping him unmasked so the fans would recognise him. In the past Rey has talked about how members of his family wore masks to wrestle and how he felt that it was appropriate to carry on the tradition, so more than likely the WWE asked him what he wanted to do and he expressed a preference for wearing the mask. As for it being "disgaceful" to wear a mask after it has been removed, I've never heard of that, at least not in the WWE. Kane's mask was pulled off not so long ago, Mankind's was pulled off all the time and they both seemed happy to put it back on so I'm not sure what you're getting at there.

Hey guys, Question regarding Triple H - regardless of his politics backstage with the McMahon family, how many quality matches do you think he's going to be able to keep churning out? Back in 2000 his feuds with Mick Foley and The Rock were superb, but when you look at more recent stuff like Scott Steiner at the Rumble or even as far back as Undertaker mid-way through last year, it doesn't seem as good. Is this Trips or the people he's working with?

Good question, Greg. Triple H doesn't perform as well as he used to. A combination of being a full time wrestler performing 260+ days a year and some nagging injuries have caused his performance to slip a little in the past 18 months or so. It's only natural as a wrestler gets older that his body starts to show the strains of heavy physical exertion and injuries that haven't been allowed proper time to heal. Of course Triple H isn't old, but he's been wrestling full time for almost eight years now and his body simply can't perform the way he did in 1996. However, when you're talking about the match with Steiner, the blame for poor performance is squarely on the Big Bad Booty Daddy's massive shoulders. Steiner sucks pretty badly in the ring, also due to a combination of injury and the fact that if he does anything too taxing, his over inflated muscles are a lot more likely to tear, split and rip than his less muscled counterparts. The Undertaker has also been wrestling for a long time - longer than anyone else currently in the WWE. His body doesn't perform like it used to either. It's sad, but it's a fact of life. Bodies wear out, and when you push yours hard and long, it will wear out a lot quicker.
