hey staff, great site. best out there. great job running the mailbag
aree. anyway i got a couple questions. im sure at least one of them has been
answered before but here it goes anyway. first of all, i read something in
the mailbag about stables and groups of people. i think the wwe needs to
bring back degeneration x. dx was the coolest. i know it will be hard with
billy gunn injured, road dogg and x-pac gone and im sure triple h would
rather do other things, but i would love to see dx again. the same old 4 or
maybe a new group of guys maybe run by hbk. what do u think? question number
2. when is rvd going to get a world title shot? he deserves it in my mind
and he is one of the only reasons i watch raw. when do u think hes getting
his turn to hold the gold?
DX is dead. It should remain dead. Seriously, the DX revival topic has
been done to death so I don't think there's any need to go over old, stale
and boring ground here. RVD certainly deserves a title shot, but due to the
Big Bad Wolf Triple H hogging the title and the spotlight, it seems Rob will
have to wait his turn. I hope it happens sooner rather than later, but
right now it simply doesn't look good with Goldberg on board and Sting
looking to sign up to the main event picture.

In your last mailbag, someone asked about how many quality matches
Triple H can keep having. Now this is just my opinion but I feel as though I
have to say it..It seems to me that Triple H in his matches, has got to have
the upper hand. What I mean is that it's like he wants to turn out
perfomances that make him look like he is just physically dominating whoever
he is in the ring with. (How many matches within the past six months or so
has he lost? ) I agree when people say that Triple H doesn't wrestle like he
once did. I also have two Jeff Hardy questions. 1) What is the latest news
with him is terms of his lateness? Is he starting to get to the RAW tapings
on time? and 2)What is going to happen with the story line of him kissing
Trish Stratus? Is that just a one time thing (like the WWE did with The
Rock kissing Trish) or is that something Vince and crew will build on? Ok. I
admit I am a weird one. I think Jeff Hardy is sexy and wild.
Sexy and wild? I have to say I don't think Jeff Hardy is attractive in the
slightest. I think he's a strange little man who has talent, but zero
ambition and absolutely no direction. As you may have read above, Jeff
Hardy has just been cut free by the WWE, so he won't be doing any "sexy and
wild" stuff on WWE screens in the near future. I doubt the WWE had long
term plans for the Jeff Hardy/Trish Stratus combo. Maybe a brief romance, a
few tag matches and the inevitable break up and make up scenario. As for
Triple H, I agree. He needs to lose more and humble himself a bit for his
opponents. I'm beginning to think that Mr Helmsley has started to believe
his own publicity by thinking that he really is unbeatable, and the WWE
product is suffering because of it.

Ayo, I've been watching wrestling, and visting your site for the
longest. Good Work fellas. Anyways, as of late, I've been getting into
disputes over WWE entrance music. D-Generation X. I say it was the Chris
Matthews band, or some no-name band, whereas my buddy swears up and down it
was Rage Against The Machine.. Now, I remember the performance at WM. but
I'm not sure what the name of the band was, maybe you can help me out!
Fellas? Sigh. Your buddy is correct, but then so are you. Rage Against
the Machine did perform a cover of the D-Generation X theme for Anthology,
but the original theme was composed by WWE in house composer Jim Johnston
and sung by the Chris Mathews Band.

I love the site and look at it all the time. Everyone keeps talking
about eliminating the european belt and the intercontinental belt but what
about the hardcore belt. yes i know it was a joke at times but i think it is
where the former ECW wrestlers shined. I think that is the reason Bubba Ray
Duddley starting dieing in his solo career. I though when they announced
they were eliminating 24 hr rule that it was going to be a belt worth
winning. Are they planning on bringing it back like the other ones or is
this the last belt they want to bring back?
The Hardcore title was never supposed to be a long term thing. Interest in
it was revived when the whole 24/7 rule came into effect, but that too
became stale, silly and boring. Hardcore matches have gradually been phased
out of WWE programming, so the decision to dump it in the trash.um.retire
it, wasn't particularly hard. The WWE could bring it back sometime in the
future though. Never say never.

You dont have to put it in the mailbag or anything like that but I have
some questions.
1. At the No Way Out ppv in 2000 was Mick Foley going through the ring
planned?
2. Will the WWE bring back some belts for mid carders and low carders (like
Hardcore and IC)?
3. Do you think the WWE will turn Brock Lesnar into another version on
Goldberg?
If you send an email to the mailbag address, it goes in the mailbag. We're
not running an information service here, kiddo.
1.. Yes. No one in WWF history has ever gone through a ring "unplanned".
2.. I really hope so, but at this point it doesn't seem likely.
3.. I guess they don't have to now that they have signed the real
Goldberg, but it certainly looked like his character was headed in that
direction.

I know the question has been asked before, with the answers relatively
obscure, but do you know if there's any update on the situation regarding
the showing of WWE in Australia? It's getting ridiculous. Not only do we
miss out on Smackdown!, but we receive NO pay-per-view coverage at all.
I've been a fan since 1985 and this is the first time in years (probably
since WM12 or 13) that the "showcase of the immortals" isn't being made
available. Instead, we are offered NWA/TNA once a month (not even weekly),
and asked to watch this instead. I'm sorry, but my grandmother could piece
together a better show, and my minature dachsunds put on better shows. It's
really bad. Almost as bad as the situation here. I've even tried ringing
the cable company, and they have no answers, so I plead with you to
enlighten us. Your site is very popular here, and an informed and
comprehensive answer to this problem would be greatly appreciated.&! nbsp;
Please try. You dont know what it's like...
The basic story is that after the success of the Global Warning tour in
Australia the WWE realized how popular wrestling was down under. When Fox8'
s Smackdown contract came up for renewal the WWE did something very silly
and asked for a ridiculous amount of money. Fox8 laughed in their faces and
instead picked up the lacklustre NWA/TNA show, possibly hoping that fans
wouldn't notice. The WWE employed a similar technique when negotiating with
Australia's PPV channel "Main Event" over the rights to show WWE PPV's.
Main Event would have had to increase the buy rate from A$21.85 to A$40.95
to meet costs and they felt this was too expensive and viewers wouldn't pay
it. There's also bad news as far as Fox Sports, the channel that currently
shows Raw in Australia, is concerned. If the WWE negotiate in the same way,
Australia will lose all wrestling programming and any future WWE tours down
under will no doubt suffer because of it. Someone sent me an email a while
back pointing out that the WWE had no conception of the Australian cable
market. Less than 5% of Australians have cable TV, compared to about 70% of
Americans. Note to the WWE: Wake up and smell the coffee.

Hello it is driving me insane i do not know the name to the theme song
from wrestlemania 18 the one the always played when hyping hogan vs. rock,
lyrics went something like "i will fight till my arms fall off" I am losing
my mind please help
Looks like I deleted this guy's name too. Try to put your name in the body
of the email when you send in your question, people. It makes it much
harder for me to "lose" names. I'm not really sure which song our anonymous
friend is referring to. The lyric "I will fight 'til my arms fall off" is
actually from the Summerslam 2002 theme which was entitled "Fight". The
lyrics are available at www.letssingit.com. It was a damn good song
actually.

Hey Rajah,
I don't know if you noticed it but when the Rock was standing next to Hogan
in the little No Way Out trailer, both of his tattoo's were on the wrong
arms. Are they transfers or not.
Nope, they aren't transfers. The image was flipped, probably for symmetry
purposes. It's like looking at your reflection - everything is backwards.
So while it appears that the tattoos have switched arms it's all a matter of
perspective.

I just got a video of Michael's and Undertaker's casket match at Royal
Rumble 98 and I was just wondering at what point did Michaels injure his
back. I know it's probably been asked before but I just can't quite
remember. Could you help out?
It was when 'Taker dumped him in the coffin and he landed awkwardly, half in
and half out of the coffin. It was just one of those unfortunate things.
The truth is that it could have happened to Michaels anytime. If he'd never
competed in that match, it might have happened in the next one, or the next
week or next month. Back injuries like his build up over a period of time
and when they finally do occur, it's a "last straw" kind of thing. The real
injury was done to his back over a period of almost 10 years of hard
wrestling - the fall into the coffin just sealed the deal.

Why is it that all wrestlers seem to have fanny packs?
I've often wondered this myself. Fanny Packs are not cool. They look
ridiculous and they should be left to overweight sunburnt retired couples
cruising the beaches of Florida. I want to know why Triple H carries a
briefcase.what is he, a frustrated banker?

Aree, I was there when the Rockers "won" the titles. (mailbag 57) It
never sat well with me so I remember almost everything that happend. Here's
what I remember . . . To set things up, it was October 30, 1990 and the
Harts had just won the straps at Summerslam from Demolition. At the time,
LOD were the #1 contenders so everyone was shocked when the Rockers came
out. It was a two-out-of-three falls match. The first fall cleanly went to
the Rockers. About halfway through the second fall, the top rope came loose
from the turnbuckle in the Rocker's side of the ring. The Harts ended up
winning the second fall despite the "unfair" Rocker tag. The match was
stopped and the ring was repaired for the third fall, which the Rockers won.
As a Rocker fan, I was pumped up for "Superstars" the following Saturday.
Nothing was mentioned for a week and a half. The second week, sometime
between the squash matches, Sean Mooney said that the match was void due to
the illegal tag. The fact that the illegal tag came in the only fall that
the sorry Harts could manage to win didn't seem to matter to the WWF. Oh
well, I hope this helped.
It all helps. Thanks.

i have two questions for you. first, what did jeff hardy and chuck
palumbo do to get on the bad side of vince mcmahon? jeff hardly ever wins a
match anymore and chuck palumbo went from a rather lengthy reign as tag team
champ to wrestling on velocity against someone called thr river rat.
secondly, will the wwe ever have nidia wrestle with any regularity? i
thought that the people from tough enough put their self through all they
did because the wanted to be wrestlers, you can get anyone off the street
and they can do what nidia does. is she happy with this or not
Another deleted name! This has to be some kind of record. Apparently they
were consistently late to house shows. The WWE frowns upon that kind of
behaviour, especially when it turns into a habit. Despite Jeff's talent, he
wasn't at the stage where he could simply turn up when he felt like it. He'
s replaceable, and the WWE like to make that point from time to time. Nidia
isn't really ready to wrestle with any kind of regularity. That's the major
drawback of Tough Enough - it highlights people who (maybe) have the talent
to make it in the business, but they've only been training for a couple of
months. They're no where NEAR being ready for a full time wrestling slot.
It takes years to build up the skills necessary to carry a match and even
then, success is not guaranteed. At least by keeping Nidia on TV in a
non-wrestling role, the WWE are establishing her as a name and a face that
people recognise and that's a lot more than most female wrestler wannabes
get.
