this is more of an opinion question. if wwe attendance is poor, ratings are poor, ppv buy rates are poor, then why in gods name do you think wwe would expect me to shell out the same 34.95 price to see the same boring matches i see on raw??? Thanks

Actually, in my most recent column I made mention of the fact that the WWE increased the price of the average PPV from $29.95 to $34.95 to claw back some of the lost profits from decreased PPV buys. Yes, that's right - the WWE charge loyal fans more to make up for the fact that less people are buying their PPV's. As Chris points out - why would you pay more for a product that is in many ways inferior to what it used to be?

From: Robert
I think that vince mcmahon should indeed bring back paul bearer and have the undertaker come back as the deadman because when he was the deadman wwe had alot of success with ppv ratings and things like that.Instead of wwe bringing back people like rowwdy roddy piper and hogan they need to bring back the dark side of taker

Hmm. The success of the WWE during the "Deadman" era was not solely due to the Undertaker. I think a lot of long term WWE fans would love to see the Undertaker return as the Deadman, but as I've pointed out before - 10 years is a very long time to play out one gimmick, even if it was a gimmick as good as the Deadman Undertaker. The old Undertaker gimmick is very much a product of the late 80's- early 90's. Gimmicks simply aren't crafted like that anymore. As for Paul Bearer, he really didn't have a role in the WWE when the move was made to the "Bad Ass" 'Taker. How would today's Deadman explain Paul Bearer hanging around? He couldn't really say "This is the guy who used to be my Manager when I was playing a character who came back from the dead. He carried around an urn with ashes in it and the urn was all powerful and sometimes had a torch in it. I wore enough leather to cover two and half cows and he used to talk in a really high pitched voice". I don't think so.

i have a comment to make . what the hell are the wwe doing with this goldberg thing in the first place making the rock job for him i cant understand this because doing that the wwe are accepting that the top guy of the wcw is way better that the top guy in the wwe so that can be understand that the wcw was better that the wwe and more now that they are planning to give the belt to golberg later this year so that mean that golberg is better than hhh and the rock and being better than the rock = beter than austin better than hhh = better than angle so i cant really understand that.

Let's see if I can decipher this "question". I think you've linked a whole bunch of stuff together and drawn some fairly far fetched conclusions. Just because Goldberg beat The Rock doesn't mean that the WWE are admitting that WCW was better than WWE. That's just silly. As for the wrestler with the belt being seen to be better than everyone else, that's true. But it never lasts. Eventually they're going to drop the belt through a clean pin (hey, it could happen one day) or a screw job. The moral of this story - nothing lasts forever. Today's champion is tomorrow's loser.

hello i want to ask 3 more questions. who is the sexy, hot and beautiful diva in wwe all the time? do you agree with me if i say the rock and trish stratus are good couple? who is the cool, hot, strong men in wwe?

I'm not really the person to talk to about the "sexy hot and beautiful women" in the WWE (ie. I'm a heterosexual woman), but from what I've heard and what I read Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler are considered "hot" and Stephanie McMahon also has her share of male fans including Triple H, damn her.
The Rock and Trish Stratus were not a good couple. Neither were Jeff Hardy and Trish Stratus. All of that crap just takes away from the actual wrestling.
I am the person to talk to about the "cool, hot and strong" men in the WWE (ie. I'm a heterosexual woman with a healthy appreciation of the male body) and I'd have to say that Shawn Michaels tops my list. For those of you who just read that and went "Jesus Christ, can't she ever NOT mention him", the hell with you. The nice reader wrote into the mailbag and asked me a legitimate question. It's my job to give a complete answer, so shut up. I'm also fond of RVD and Triple H, for those who might have missed that piece of information in the past five mailbags.

I have watched Kevin Nash closely since his return and I have a question? ...Does Kevin Nash have a prosthetic leg or foot? Thanks.

Yep. Someone once said to him "What's your favourite position, Big Kev?" and Nash replied "My foot up your ass" and then proceeded to do exactly that. The foot became stuck and was amputated.
Kevin Nash does NOT have a prosthetic leg or foot. But he has had some fairly serious ankle and knee injuries, so that could explain what led you to think that he had a prosthetic leg or foot. That, or you're just a weirdo.

I don't have many detaiIs, but maybe someone will know what I'm talking about and can answer my question. This is how I remember it: Years back, around the mid-90's, on Raw is War, Jerry Lawler was in the back, for some reason. Maybe he was doing an interview, I don't know. As Raw was supposed to be cutting to a commercial break, the cameraman set the camera down in front of Lawler, but it kept rolling. I remember, because of this, the audience ended up hearing comments made by Lawler that weren't meant to be heard. After about a minute or two, I guess the technical crew realized the camera was still rolling, and immediately cut the feed and went to commercials. When Raw came back from commercial break, Lawler broke out of character, and made a public apology to the audience. What was Lawler saying that the audience wasn't supposed to hear?

Can anyone help us out here? I have no idea what this is all about.

I have a real stumper for you. Back in the day, Shawn Michaels kicked a guy through a barbershop window and i have no recollection as to who it may be. Can you please help.

Why do people do that? Is this person wanted by the FBI? Anyway Mr Nobody, the answer is Marty Janetty. Shawn Michaels superkicked him through the barbershop window when he turned heel and "The Rockers" went their separate ways.

I wanted to know if Nathan Jones could ever have a chance to team up with Brock Lesnar for the tag team championship I mean they would be the bestest tag team better than L.O.D and I believe that the people would like to see Nathan teaming up with Brock and I could sure tell you that they would be unstoppable.

Better than LOD? LOD are one of my favourite tag teams of all time, which is a little weird given that I usually favour more technically sound wrestlers as opposed to "beat 'em up and hold 'em down" guys. LOD were just an amazing package in their time and completely unlike anyone else. Nathan Jones has some fairly serious work to do before he could ever hope to team up with Lesnar. Lesnar also has some work to do in my opinion, but Jones needs to do more. Besides, if you pair those two guys up they're only going to be able to fight about three other guys and still have the matches look believable. It's not like you could square them off against regular sized guys and have them lose while keeping their character integrity in place. See the problem?

Are the tickets for sale yet, if yes where, if not when & where? Thanks

Tickets for what? If you're referring to Wrestlemania XX, then the answer is that the event will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Tickets are not yet available but keep an eye on this website because Rajah usually announces when they're for sale and directs you to the right place to buy them which is usually Ticketmaster. Alternatively, keep an eye on the WWE's official site where they have a special section for "live events" which provides ticket details.

I wanted to know who will return to the WWE that was in WCW or WWF and I was wondering if Ken Shamrock will return to the WWE or Gangrel?

Ken Shamrock has been long rumoured to return to the WWE. When he left the WWE some years ago it was on the understanding that after he had done his time in the UFC, he would return to the WWE. However, the UFC is brutal to the extreme and has left Shamock with a few long term injuries. Plus, he's getting older and with the WWE's roster already stacked, I can't see a return being too likely in the next six months or so. However, this is the WWE and Vince is currently high on old superstars, so who knows? All I know is that if Randy Savage turns up in the WWE, I'm going to be severely pissed. As for Gangrel, it seems very unlikely that he'll ever make a WWE return due to injuries, but hey, never say never.

i am pissed off at jeff leaving.now, trish doesnt have anyone 2 be with her at the ring when she is attacked by victoria (who by the way looks like a man) and Steven Richards (who by the way looks like a woman). its totally messed up. was jeff on drugs?it says he went into rehab or was going 2. oh yeah i had a thing that i called T.A.J.H.(Trish and Jeff Hardy) which is the only reason i watched raw.

I'm sure Trish will get over it. I don't think Victoria looks like a man and I don't think Steven Richards looks like a woman. The rumor is that Jeff Hardy needed to go into rehab, but whether this was for illegal drugs or prescription drugs is not known. If anyone out there is considering emailing me and saying "It was illegal drugs", don't bother. The truth is that no one really knows and everything you read about Jeff Hardy's drug related problems is just pure hearsay.

From: Steven Wright
hey guys.....great site...tons of info........anyway, i was just wondering....and i know this has probably been answered a million times, but what is the wwe going to do with the jeff and trish storyline......are they just gonna let it go? when they were "together" it was one of the only reason i watched raw..... is jeff wrestling for another company called impact championship wrestling....i know there was something about it in another article, but if he is then why would he have left the wwe.....and 1 last thing.....how com the wwe commentators like the king and jr never said anything about jeffs sudden disappearance?

So I'm guessing that Jeff Hardy is Steven's favourite wrestler. Yes, the WWE will let the Trish/Jeff angle go. What else can they do? As far as I know, Jeff Hardy is not wrestling for another company. He apparently left the WWE because he wanted to concentrate on his "music" (yeah, whatever) and he and the WWE had a little falling out concerning his apparent need for rehab for whatever reason. The WWE do not like to draw attention to the resignation of their employees. They just like to pretend they never existed. It's an interesting sort of denial.

From: Steven Wright
You said something about Matt trying to put Jeff in a drug rehab center......for what......is he on drugs or something! If he is I don't know about it......but why would he be in a rehab center....is he trying to quit or something! I would like some answers.....thank you so much!

So I'm thinking we should rename this "Steven's Jeff Hardy Mailbag".
I have no idea what Jeff Hardy's drug problem is, and I really don't care. I hope he returns to the WWE one day and is healthy, focussed and ready to put his heart into creating some great wrestling matches.
