Hey Raj,
I heard a rumor that Shane & Stephanie were adopted. Is it true?
No. You only have to look at Shane to see that he's not adopted. He looks like a younger version of Vince. DNA is a little scary sometimes.

As cliche' as it sounds, your site is amazing. Now for my questions. I was watching Smackdown and Brock Lesner picked up the ring steps and moved them about 20 feet. When he did that, Tazz said that the steps weigh 400-500 pounds. I find that hard to believe. How much do they weigh. As for my second question, I know that when someone wins a title, they get a copy of the belt to keep. Is the quailty of the copy they get the same quaility as the actual belt? Did the guys from WCW get copies of the belts that they won? Did Kane get a copy of the WWF championship that he won in '98, even though he was champ for 24 hours? What do you think is the best/worst looking belts ever? Thank you very much.
The steps don't weigh that much. Tazz was exaggerating because he's an announcer and that's part of their job, but he went a little too far on that one. The steps are hollow, so while I'm sure they're not light, I doubt they'd weigh more than 180 pounds at the very most. 400 - 500 pounds sounds a lot more impressive though, doesn't it? As for the title belt questions, first off, kudos to you for asking me something I've never been asked before. I doubt the belts that are awarded to the champions are of the same quality as the in-ring belts because the copies are just for show whereas the actual belt needs to stand up to more wear and tear. Actually, now I think about it I'm not sure that the WWE are still awarding their champions copies of the belt. I assume so, but I haven't heard it discussed for quite some time. I have no idea what the policy was in WCW, but even if they were handing out copies, the same 5 guys were just rotating the title between them for a long time. Kane was probably offered a copy of the title. If he didn't take it then, I'll bet he wishes he had now. After that very fast title reign in 1998 he hasn't had a sniff of the title for the past five years! The best looking belt was the IC title with the white background held by the likes of Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon and Jeff Jarrett. From memory, I think that was once Rajah's favorite belt too. It was just really cool. I also liked the last WWF title belt (before the name change to WWE). I'm not too fond of either of the current championship belts. The WCW belt has always annoyed me, probably because something about the shape of it just doesn't seem right.

Hey Rajah! I wrote a few years back and asked a question. By the way, still an awesome site! Anyhow, I just read Steven Wright's latest, and wanted to contribute an experience I had with the A-Train about a month ago. I was a landscaper, and I was out mowing a lawn in A-Train's hometown. (If you want to know where it is, e-mail me. I've wrote down his address.) Anyhow, he pulls up along side me on his bike, with, who I perceive to be his girlfriend on the back, and asked me if I was still looking for new clients. I said yeah, gave him a card, and then he and his girldfriend took off. First off, he was really cool. I guess his neighbors hate him, because his Harley is really loud, but he was pretty cool. And, his girlfriend is so hot!!! So those reports about his girlfriend being real good-looking, they're true! Secondly, he looks so much bigger in person than he does on TV. Being around guys like 'Taker and Big Show don't help you appreciate how big these guys really are.
Three words to strike fear in the hearts of visitors to this site - Steven Wright's Latest. Thanks for the story, Bill. I guess there's something to be said for guys with really hairy backs. And that something is ewwwwwww...

Hey Aree. First of all, in the last mailbag someone said you are sarcastic. I say this---You are apart of this site. You do a DAMN FINE JOB answering questions and putting up with morons (Steven. Who else could it be?). So, if you want to answer things with a "little edge", go right ahead! :-) I support you all the way. Awhile back, I was the one who said Jeff Hardy was sexy and wild. I didn't agree with what you said at first but now I do. Jeff is definately out there. I can't believe I thought that. Anyway, on with my question/thought. Triple H. I have seen two or three comments (in the last mailbag) complaining about him. I have to agree. I also have to add this. A few weeks ago, I read somewhere that in the "meetings" where the writers, Vince and Triple H (and whoever else may show up) get together, Triple H mainly protects himself and his character. Then I saw that Shane McMahon was in a meeting and when it came to his ideas, Vince shot him down in favor of Triple H's ideas. (And not in a very nice way either) Now if Vince is always favoring Trips, what is going to happen if and when Vince retires? My feeling is that he will "give the WWE" to Stephaine and Trips instead of Shane. And if Triple H acts then the way he acts now, the business will be ruined. What do you think?
Morons in the mailbag? Surely not. .Firstly, no one actually knows what goes on in meetings with the writers, Vince, Stephanie, Shane and the wrestlers. Just because you "heard" something doesn't mean it's true. That said, I'm sure Triple H does protect his own character. Wouldn't you? Vince and the writers would have known when they first asked Triple H for his input that he was going to protect himself first. Obviously they think his ideas are worth putting up with his self protection or they wouldn't be listening. There's a strong possibilty that once Triple H marries Steph he will have a say in the WWE for a very very long time to come so people may as well get used to it. Perhaps it won't bother people when Trips is no longer an active member of the roster, but that won't happen for some time to come so don't start holding your breath. In any case, I sincerely doubt that Triple H would try to, and that Shane McMahon would let him muscle him out of his birthright.
"Error" be dammed! I stand by my comment that it was a wig. For two reasons: 1. If you look at Kane's hairline now, it looks like he has a receding hairline and hasn't had hair in the front part of his head for quite some time. 2. The wig looked IDENTICAL to the hair he had for the previous couple of years. Getting a wig to match hair that closely is practically impossible. There's every chance that Kane has been wearing a wig for years. Even when his mask was removed, that doesn't mean that the hair was real. People wear wigs all the time and they don't need masks to secure them!

Hello to all at the BEST wrestling website on the planet. OK, enough ass-sucking (eww!)...I really do not have a question, but an interesting comment. I was watching RAW with my wife, and she (being the inquisitive sort) asked me this: "If wrestlers are so big and brawny, why do they put 98 lb. weaklings for refs in the ring to control them?" I kid you not, I had NO answer for that question. I just told her to watch the show, not wanting to be out-classed. Just wanted to share...by the way, hearing the news of Elizabeth passing on tore me up, what about you guys?
This is actually pretty funny. What the hell is wrong with men anyway? Why can't you open your mouths and say "You know, I actually don't know the answer to your question" or "Yes, Aree, you're right about the French - they're human beings just like you and I and I don't need incentives to accept the truth"? Truth be told, your wife's question is pretty dumb, which I guess makes you even dumber for not having an answer. Do people ask why umpires and ref's for football, basketball, soccer, baseball and any other sport you can think of aren't as big as the athletes? Of course they don't. The umpires and referees are not there to participate. They shouldn't even be touched, so therefore size is not a consideration. Granted, wrestling referees get pushed around a lot more, but we all know they're not in any real danger so what's the big deal? Just tell your wife "Wrestling is just pretend, honey, now go get me another beer".

OMG. I'm back, and I'm better than ever...
I wanted to write in to tell Aree to please stop playing Triple H to Steven Wright's Jericho. This is a young, up-and-coming talent who is bringing new life to the stale mailbag scene. I can't remember anyone having such a huge opening angle, and you even gave him a nice rub. I was ready for Steven Wright to become Master of the Mailbag, the HighWright of the Night, if one will. But nooooo. Aree has to bring him out the next week for a squashfest, the likes of which hadn't been seen since Kane started took Stevie Richards to the proverbial woodshed. Stop holding down Steven Wright. He's the future, and the future is now. I'm thinking about starting a petition...
PS: Since, if I follow the normal Mailbag Update Schedule correctly, this will likely be printed in a few months, I suppose it's okay to ask: does everybody miss me? *insert pity pop from the crowd*
Oh Dan, you're such a comedian. Are you considering a comeback tour as Steven Wright's manager? I guess I did kind of squash Steven Wright. But in my defence, Steven Wright is just so squashable. I'm helpless to resist his squashability. I take offence at Dan's "stale mailbag scene" comment. I strive to make this mailbag spicy and interesting and I resent the implication of sub-standard mailbaging by a guy who retired from rajah.com amid the foul stench of corruption, lies and wenchery. Not to mention the questionable body odour issue which was discussed too often by too many people for there to be no truth to it. While I'm affectionately running down Dan, I'll also point out that the Mailbag is actually updated at least three times a month. It's my COLUMN that seems to wash up on the shores of rajah.com every couple of months. As for missing Dan, did he leave the site?

Do you think that Bobby the Brain Heenan will ever come back to the WWE
and is the wrestling manager pretty much gone for good from the world of
pro wrestling?
You can never rule out an appearance or two somewhere down the road, but I'm of the opinion that Bobby Heenan is done as a manager. I think he's had some health problems lately
and there's no way he can play a "full-time" character anymore. Not to mention, male managers are few and far between in WWE so there really would be nothing for him to do.

Rajah and gang,
I'm really sorry to ask, but I feel I have to. What is up with the absolutely RIDICULOUS amount of pop-ups your site now has? I understand that site's cost money, I do - but this is getting stupid. I can't even access a news file without a pop-up taking up a huge chunk of my page. Also, (and this is my MAJOR gripe) every other time I switch pages, I am being asked to accept a download from GATOR corporation, which I know for a fact is a very prolific program that infiltrates your computer to send personal information from your hard drive to their company's databases for use in mailing lists, spam, etc. I have been a longtime visitor to your site and I have to say I am really disappointed that you would put yourself in bed with these guys. Their program is little more than a virus that will NOT be easily wiped from your hard drive once it is installed, and you don't even have the courtesy to warn people about it. People trust you and your reputation, and those who don't take the time to read these pop-ups and just press "ok" to be rid of them are only going to suffer in the long run. There are probably people who think it may even be something required to view your pages and press "ok" because of that.
Hopefully you will post this e-mail and respond to it in the mailbag because I think your viewers/supporters have the right to be told what the GATOR program is.
First of all, yes the pop-up ads are frustrating - I hate them as much as the next person. With that said, having them up on the site is almost a necessity because we have to generate revenue in some way to pay for the dedicated server the site is hosted on. As you may or may not, over the past few years the economy has tumbled and the internet ad market in particular
is in shambles. In the past, I could put one banner ad on one page and generate more than enough money to run the site. Nowadays, banner ads are almost useless because in the past nobody clicked on them (and so to the advertiser, it seems like they don't "work") and because of it the ad company I am with intergrated pop up and banner advertising into ONE code. In other words, I don't even have a choice anymore on whether I want to put up solely banners or solely pop ups. I just stick the code up
on the top of each page and THEY decide what will show up. To that end, I also have no control over what type of pop ups show up; the only thing I can really complain and ban against is porn ads. Anyway to end a long story, we're all just going to have to live with it but there are possible long-term solutions including supporting the site by clicking the banners at the top (hopefully this will eventually reverse the notion that these ads don't work) and creating a pay version of the site which would contain no ads
of any kind in exchange for a small monthly fee. Oh yeah, I kinda forgot to acknowledge your point - I don't suggest ever downloading any program that appears on this site or any site unless you know what it is and it is something you intended to download in the first place.
Warning: rant upcoming...

This is quite some time ago, but I am wondering if you would have an answer. At Wrestlemania 4, the finals were Randy Savage vs Ted Dibiase for the WWF Title. Randy wins, all is great, and he has a very lengthy push as a top WWF contender, and he stayed that way until he eventually became a color commentator and what not. Ted Dibiase however, in my opinion a more all-around balanced wrestler, got the push to the finals of WM4, and that was about it, except for the push with the million dollar belt (in which he basically faced mid to lower mid-carders). Why was this? Were there other wrestlers (ie Hulk Hogan) going against a push for the talented Ted Dibiase? He was a great heel, perhaps ahead of his time? What do you think?
I'm not sure how to answer this but it's a very interesting question as far as I'm concerned. I totally agree with you in that Ted DiBiase's character quite strong in all aspects and definitely ahead of its time. However, wrestling back then (WWF) was much different than it is today. First of all, the lengthy title reigns were reserved for the money drawing faces and if you didn't belong in that category, you pretty much had to be big to get a strong push - even if you had virtually no talent at all. Also at that time, Hogan and Savage dominated the world title scene and heels like Sgt. Slaughter and Undertaker only held it for short amount of times. Of course, by the time Savage and Hogan slowed down, Ultimate Warrior's reign in the federation began
so it can probably also be argued that many wrestlers in this era were just a victim of circumstance more than held down due to their talents or politics. But this is all just a guess because this era of WWE was when I first became a fan and being like 10 years old, I really had no idea what went on behind the scenes so to speak.
