| rajah.com Mailbag, Edition #9 -By Grandpa, Kayfabe and Rajah |
Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.
Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:
1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II.
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to Rajah_WWF@Hotmail.Com. Please try to keep it short, since if it is too long, it will be prone to editting.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Grandpa, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:Rajah - GREEN
Grandpa - RED
Kayfabe - YELLOW
IMPORTANT!!!
If you have anything to add to any of these questions/comments or even my remarks, please email me. I'm not claiming that all my info is correct, as I'm sure
that some of it is inaccurate as well. PLEASE READ THE DIRECTIONS ABOVE AND NOTE THE CHANGE IN THE EMAIL ADDRESS!!!

Dear Raj:Great site!
What ever happened to Jimmy Snuka?
Snuka has been competing in the independent promotions, mainly BBOW.

ISN'T IT OBVIOUS? GTV IS GOLDUST TV! GOLDUST THE MAN FROM HOLYWOOD,
CALAFORNIA. THE MAN WHO LOVES MAKING FILMS IS DEFINATELY BEHIND GTV. MANY
TIMES ON RAW IN 1997 HE MADE MANY SHORT 'FILMS' MOSTLY ABOUT BRIAN PILLMAN
IN HIS LOCKER ROOM.
Goldust was definitely the front runner until his departure. Rumors now indicate that Terri Runnels is behind G-TV.
From:Arish (the Undertaker's biggest fan)
Dear Rajah
Is the phenom, the Undertaker, gonna remain a bad guy for the rest of his career or will he return to his old invicable self. I would like to see him be succesful and once again be the man from the darkside
There is always a possibility that the Undertaker will turn face. I believe this would diminish his character. With the Undertaker's age and current orthopedic problems, it is safe to say his better days are behind him. With all of the younger talent scheduled for pushes the Undertaker may have seen his last title reign.

My friend and I have a bet I'd like you to settle. We argue over the nationality of The Rock. I say he is samoan, he says he is african american. Who is correct?
Thanks!
Both of you are correct; that means Grandpa keeps all bets!

KICK ASS SITE - I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS FOR YA
I KNOW DUANE GILL (SPELT RIGHT ?) GOT FIRED FROM THE WWF, BUT HE IS
DEFENDING THE LH BELT UNDER THE NAME GILLBERG FOR SOME INDEPENDENT WRESTLING ORG. IF SO,HOW CAN HE DEFEND THE BELT AND USE THE NAME GILLBERG IF HE'S DONE WITH THE WWF ?
>br>I ALSO HEARD HE MIGHT GO TO WCW AND MAKE FUN OF STONE COLD LIKE HE DID
GOLDBERG - IS THIS TRUE ?
I ALSO HEARD THAT ONCE UNDERTAKER RETIRES, HE HAS A JOB BACKSTAGE IN THE WWF, IF SO, WHAT IS IT, AND WHAT WILL HE BE DOING?
P.S. UNDERTAKER RULES!!!!!!!!!
I believe he is still under WWF contract. Probably, for no reason other than keeping him from joining WCW. If he were to join WCW, then he could portray SCSA in a not so kindly manner.

I like your web site. My question is Christin realy Edge's brother?
No, this is just an angle.
From:Ryan
Why did the acolytes challenge thier own boss, the Undertaker?
This angle was developed to help disolve the ministry and give the Acolytes a push, not to mention concentrate on the tag-team division.

Whats up Raj im not gonna suck up like most of the pepole who write in but u do have a great site and i was wondering a couple things.
1 What happened to Marty Janety Whats he been up to lately?
2 Is dino Bravo really dead? I heard he is.
3 What happened to Koko B. ware
4. Was Ryan Really a stripper?
1)Marty has been in Australia competing in High Risk Championship Wrestling.
2)Yes, Dino passed away at the age of 44, he was murdered on 3/11/93. Sorry, that those are all the details that I have.
3)He's competing in the BBOW federation.
4)Yes; WOO HOO!
From:Raime
Hey. Great site.
My question is why is there never any actual one on one matches anymore? There is always someone interfering, for once I would like to witness a match that was won fair and square. Let me know if you think this will ever happen again among the top stars in the WWF (Austin, Undertaker,etc.).
Thanks.
Outside interference has been a mainstay in wrestling since the sports induction. However, it seems to be getting a lot worse of late. Now days, with all the ego's and no job clauses in wrestlers contracts it is more unlikely to see a clean pin. It is even more unlikey that a heel can achieve a clean victory.
From:Jigga
Hey whats up with the Harlem Heat, are they back together or what?
For now, it does seem that Harlem heat has re-united. I would think that they will be instant contenders for the tag-team gold.

i love your site
i have to questions
1. is ryan shamrock really ken shamrocks sister.
2. when is mick foley coming back i sure do miss him
1)No
2)He has been rumored to be doing some house show interviews. When he will actually compete is still unknown. He has expressed a desire to refrain from the hardcore matches. This will be interesting, as Mick Foley has made his repuation in the hardcore division.
From:Nice Guy
do you think scott hall or kevin nash will ever return to wwf and if they do
would they have a new gimic or be razor and diesel still
Hall and Nash's current contracts don't expire for another year and a half, making their WWF returns unlikely. However, if they were to return their old gimmicks would be quite probable.

Hey guys, your site is excellent. I have a question that has been bugging me for quite some time... hope you can answer it.
Was Kevin Sullivan (Taskmaster, WCW booker, etc.) ever in the WWF? Back in the days when Ken Patera made his first swing through the WWF, I remember a wrestler in the WWF by the name of Kevin Sullivan. Are these the same person?
Thanks.
I do believe that Kevin Sullivan had a brief stint in the WWF in the mid '70's
From:Justin Sane
Please answer this question for me in your mailbag.
Has WWF dropped the angle of someone screwing around with the briefcase.
Will Buh Buh Ray Dudley be allowed to use the language he does now in the WWF?
Also your site rocks, I visit once a day
1)Good question! If they don't mention the angle very soon you can bet that the angle will be forgotten.
2)I would think that the Dudley's will remain extreme. However, their current antics will indeed have to be toned down.
From:Blarpo
Congrats on such a great site.
I have one question(may take more than one answer):
I saw the actual Bret Hart screw job on pay per view and I just want to know if HBK did actually know about it?
When the bell rang and HBK was awarded the winner, he seemed surprised and angry at the same time. But he walked out cheering for himself and later on the next RAW he made fun of Hart by portraying him as a midget. Did Michaels ultimately know of the whole screw job from the beginning? And is there legitimate heat between Hart and HBK?
Obviously, the only ones who know for sure are the players themselves. My opinion, HBK was involved and had full knowledge of what was going to transpire. I believe Bret Hart holds a lot of animosity toward a lot of the individuals that were involved with the "screw job."
From:Dave
Mailbag-I have four questions for you:
1) Why do you think HHH signed such a low paying contract? I mean 650 thousand isn't much for a guy that big.
2) Was Paul Wight aiming towards joining the WWF when his WCW contract ran out or was it mostly based on the offers by both sides?
3) Did Paul Heyman work for any other wrestling company first before starting his own, and how did that come about?
4) Why doesn't Heyman sign his wrestlers to contracts-is it the money problems?
Thanks,
1)$650,OOO for wrestling? What, are you joking? How many professions earn this type of salary? Granted, he could have received more from WCW, but he got a guaranteed title reign with the WWF and I'm sure other perks were included as well.
2)I have heard that Wight had decided not to re-sign with WCW well before his contract expired. This would explain all the jobbing he was forced into.
3)Heyman, previously worked for both the WWF and WCW.
4)Heyman, doesn't have the capital that the big two possess, ECW does not have the exposure either.
From:The Yankee
I got a couple questions for whoever's answering this
1. I heard that Triple H was guaranteed to win at SummerSlam, but I don't think that will happen with Jesse Ventura refereeing. The reason is because Stone Cold never loses fairly, and if something like that happened with Ventura, some people in Minnesota who take wrestling to seriously would get pissed and not vote for him if he goes for re-election.
2. Is it just a coincidence that Badd Ass was the only person in DX not to get a title shot ever? Also, whydid he spell Bad, Badd?
3. How did Road Dogg make up the speech he does, cause I know it started off from Michael Buffer's, but how did he expand it?
1)He is supposedly guaranteed a title reign, not neccasarily a win at Summerslam. Although, the scenario of HHH winning at Summerslam does seem to be the consensus opinion. Ventura will do as the script indicates. I wouldn't be surprised to see a bizzare twist/ending that does not portray Ventura in a positive way.
2)I'm sure BABG, will get his fair share of titles in the future. He is amidst a push at this time. The spelling is nothing more than an attempt at being different. Then again, Road Dogg has two g's; maybe, the WWF copies the WWF, too! LOL
3)Let's face it, Road Dogg's mic skills are much better than his wrestling ability. I'm sure he created it on his own.
From:Jared
Hey Mailbag,
I know that Steve Austin is arguably the most popular wrestler ever, and that he generates a huge market for the WWF. He has headlined the past two Wrestlemanias and will probably feud with Paul Wight at Wrestlemania 2000.
My question is, when do you think Stone Cold will drop out of the
Wrestlemania main event picture? Nobody has wrestled in more than 3 main
events, if I can remember correctly. I guess I am asking how much longer
you think the Stone Cold Steve Austin hype and even the gimmick will last
before it gets old.
Thanks.
As long as the fans buy into his character and continue to buy his merchandise, SCSA will remain on top of the mountain. When his popularity fades, so will his achievements. I would like to see someone else gain the exposure, SCSA has become very old; hit, kick, Thesz press, stunner. Same old routine, week after week.
From:Gavin
Just wondering what happened to Mark Canterbury (HOG). Last time i heard was that he was still on the recovery table. He is a decent wrestler and needs a decent push when or if he comes back cos he was well over with the fans when he was HOG, then he turned bad and veryone hated him. One of the best matches i ever saw was between him and Bradshaw during which he lost due to a knee injury (not sure whether it was fake or not)if i remember but everyone applauded him. Please tell me what is happening with him cos i do feel he is watsed talent.
He was recently released by the WWF.
From:Chid69
Do you remember Doink the clown? With Dink, Pink, and Wink? I wish that the wwf could bring back someone as Doink the clown he was the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There were rumors circulating that Thrasher along with ICP would form an evil clown gimmick. However, with Thrasher's injury not yet healed and ICP joining WCW, the angle seems to have been scrapped. I know of one person who would love to see Doink return to the WWF.
From:wcwsuck
When x-pac was in wcw did he ever wrestle Rey Mysterio Jr.
I do remember them wrestling during the peak of the NWO days. If I remember correctly, Mysterio was ticked off because Nash threw him like a dart directly into a trailer! That still is one of the funniest things I've ever seen! Nothing ever materialized out of this angle (typical WCW), no belts ever changed hands during this feud.

i just wanted to know if all of the von erich brothers died?
The only remaining VonErich sibling is Kevin. I'm not positive but he could be wrestling in Japan, if he has not retired. He was always a very popular star in Japan, not to mention Texas, as well.
From:Method18
Hey! Rajah great site.
Here's one for you. Remember when Austin used
to always get beat by Savio Vega years ago. I heard Savio is making a
comeback any chance they could push Vega into the main storylines and
re-ignite a feud with Austin. Also when is Big Stevie Cool gonna debut.
Savio is rumored to soon be released by the WWF. Therefore, a renewed Feud with SCSA is very unlikely.
Big Stevie reportedly been cleared to return to the ring and a WWF debut is imminent.

From one Canadian to another, to you not HATE having to wait 3 hours later for Raw then the rest of the world? I'm not sure of the numbers but I'm sure that TSN gets more viewers for RAW the Jays baseball.
Do you think that if enough people wrote then that they might listen and carry RAW at the right time?
Even worse this week (august 9) is supposed to be a huge show and they are only showing an hour and half of it! Can you belive that? I dont get USA here and you're PBP's are great but its just not the same you know?

I don't live in Canada, but I can sympathize with your plight. I live on the West Coast, we too, miss out on the early viewing. Not to mention, when the PPV's are shown, we miss out on seeing Sunday Night Heat to help set the tone for the PPV evenings event. You can always write to the WWF click here.
From:Harco3317
Do you think that we have seen the peak of the WWF's adult oriented attitude
or do you think even more risque stuff is yet to come?
As long as the ratings are high, expect the same programming to continue. The only factor that may influence the storylines to change is when the WWF goes public. Then the WWF would have investors to listen to.

Hey Rajah great site.
There's been a things questions bugging me.
1. At WM15, when The Big Bossman got hung by the ministry after his steel cage match with Taker, how is it that he's now fine as ever? Is it just me or did the WWF not even TRY to explain that.
2. On a video on WWF.com, when asked if he would want to join DX, Chris Jericho said that he " Wouldn't want those guys leeching off his success", and that they can go do their little thing alone because he doesn't want them tailriding him. Are all wrestlers this vain and arrogant, or is it just him?
1)Ummm..... You weren't supposed to remember that! One of the many angles that are dropped in midstream.
2)Remember, this wrestling. Don't take anything you hear to seriously.

thought he was.
2.Did the WWF drop the name over the Edge(because of Owen's fall "over

OK first your site rocks. A couple questions.
1. If and when HHH wins the WWF championship, do you think that he may change
from heel to face?
2. Also is the European title being brought back for, the British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith?
1)I wouldn't think that he would turn heel right away, maybe in time. With Jericho being a heel, HHH may turn face at a later time.
2)Could be. There is no guarantee that the Bull Dog will return to the WWF. Rumors have swirled that your suggestion is correct.
From:BrdManBrad
Hey great site,
I have 2 questions for you.
1) I just bought tickets to Survivor Series at the Joe Louise Arena in
Detriot Mi., and I was wondering if you might have a way of knowing the main event? Now normally I wouldn't ask but you knew the main event for
SummerSlam way in advance and since Survivor Series is one of the "Big 5" I
thought you may have a way of knowing.
2) On the ticket it says that the event starts at 7:45. Now I know that Heat would normally start at 7 so I was wondering if the WWF plans to drop Heat entirely.
Thanks alot.
1)Congrats! The event is way to far away to predict the combatants. If I had a crystal ball I would be hitting 10 team parlays everyweek!
2)I have heard that the format might be altered. I have no knowledge of Heat being cancelled.
From:CT7440
Hey Raj or whoever is filling in this week,
1: I've been reading a lot about Kurt Angle training and having all these dark matches, and I want to know if the WWF or the internet wrestling
community has ever acted this way about a new wrestler.
2: With the extra time the WWF will need to fill when Smackdown comes on the air, why are they releasing such talent like Savio Vega, Mark Canterbury, and the SuperAstros Talent? Those wrestlers could definitely give a boost to the lightweight and hardcore divisions, if given the opportunity.
1)All information has indicated that the WWF has very high aspirations for Kurt Angle. During my tenure on the Internet, I have found very few rumors to be true. The Internet only adds more hype and publicity "to stir the pot"...........(TUG)
2)They have a lot of young talent that will be making their debuts and possibly have some unsigned talent waiting to make their entrances as well.
From:Biggiep483
Is it true that Chyna will wrestle SCSA for the title at SummerSlam, or is it all a sham?
I hope not. The sport has already been tarnished enough. Chyna battling SCSA would only further the decline of its respectability. Let Chyna compete in the shemale division with Nicloe Bass!
From:Alan
I got a quick question. Who makes wrestlers gimmicks.Do wrestlers make their own or do the bookers make them?Is it a little of both? which wrestlers in the wwf made their own gimmicks.it would help a lot if you answered this for me.
The bookers are the ones that are ultimately in charge. Sometimes, once a wrestler has made it big he earns some creative control, but for all the up and coming guys, the bookers decide about their gimmicks.
From:the gothic one
two questions:
What happened to prospect devin Storm? He was supposed to join the brood earlier this year, but obviously, never did.
my second question:
what do you think christian is going to do with the
split up of the brood. And do you think he'll be receiving a push soon?
1) Devon never ended up signing on with the WWF. He's an impressive talent, but never inked a long term contract. I would guess that he's currently working with the independents. If anyone has more info on Storm, send it on in. [Note from Rajah: Devon Storm has signed a developmental deal with WCW. This is from 1Wrestling's Georgiann Makropoulos].
2) I sure hope so. Christian is an extremely talented wrestler. Edge is definitely due to get his push first, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Christian in line for one after him.
From:Sean M
Hey Rajah (or whoever's doin' the mailbag). I have a few questions for
the mailbag. Thanks. (PS great site)
1) What is the difference between jobbing and cleanly jobbing?
2) When DX were heels (for example, they get booed on WWF Warzone) why
were they heels? What did they do?
3) What was X-Pac's finisher when he was 1-2-3 Kid?
4) What is the Enziguri? I know it is one of Owen Hart's moves on WWFAttitude.
5) In your opinion, will Kane ever join D-Generation X?
Thanks a lot for clearing those up. L8er.
1) A clean job is when a wrestler loses fairly to his opponent. Like if there's no outside interference. A regular job can be without interference. For example, Stone Cold's loss to The Undertaker at Over The Edge was not a clean job, because the Undertaker used outside assistance to win. Had there been no cheating on the Undertaker's behalf, Austin would have been cleanly jobbing to the Phenom.
2) Well, before their alliance, both HHH and HBK had been heels, so it was only natural that they form a heel stable together. Hunter feuded with Sgt. Slaughter, who was a face, and HBK had battles with guys like the Undertaker, who was then a face.
3) He usually used an array of high flying, arial moves, but his main finisher was the moonsault.
4) It goes like this: When Owen would attempt to kick his opponent, the opponent would catch Owen's leg and hold it there, leaving Owen standing on one leg. Then, Owen would propel himself into the air, and with his free leg, he'd whirl around and smack his opponent in the back of the head with a devestating kick. Great move.
5) In my opinion, no. Not as a full-fledged member. He might always side with them, but if he was going to become a dedicated member, I think they would have made him one already. Besides, Kane is one of those guys that doesn't need a stable to achieve success on his own. Could you actually picture Kane saying "Suck It" (Note: this was written on Sunday August 8th, a day before RAW, so save the smart ass remarks)
From:Donell
Just one quick question: I saw a picture a while ago where Edge was
pointing a gun at Christian. I was wondering around when this happened,
and what the story behind it was.
Thanks!
I am quite sure this was an angle that was dropped. Sorry, I really don't know.

First off Raj let me give ya props on the site it looks great. I only have one question and will try to make it short. On Sunday Night Heat before Fully Loaded, HHH talked about 5 years ago in Madison Square Garden when hewas punished for being in the ring with Hall, nash, and HBK, what was that all about, and was it ever on TV.
Thanks Alot
No, it was never on television. That incident of the "Clique" uniting in the ring shortly before Hall (then Razor Ramon) and Nash (then Diesel) left for WCW, was at a house show in MSG. Rajah describes the event in further detail in his Wrestling FAQ. Check out the link at the top of the page.

Hi Raja & Co.
I am a very big fan of your site, I was wondering Now that
Sable is gone from the WWF do you think it is time that they bring in
some SUN (Sunny). I think now that they have released Nicole Bass &
Ryan Shamrock & the other no name, Will the rest of the ladies be
enough, Since we don't see Jacky & Marlana & Torri as much, I think
Sunny Would be a great fit in the WWF.
If brought back wouldn't she just fit in nice with Chris Jericho.
Also If she is brought back into the WWF do you think that she will need
another boob job since she has sold hers, unfortunately ?
Thanks Guys& Keep the great work.
Unfortuneatly, I don't think it's very likely that Sunny will return to the WWF. She left on somewhat shaky terms, and although Sable's departure increases the odds, it seems improbable that Sunny will come home to the WWF. That Jericho scenario is a good idea, though. I'd love to see her back.

1) What is the deal with HBK? How come they dont use him more? They get such good ratings when he is on, and everyone loves him.
2) Why do they let Billy Gunn wear see thru pants?
3) Do you guys hate the TPWW and DTA people, or is it just a joke?
4) Is it just me, or does the Big Show have a look on his face like he is having passionate sex, whenever he is in a match?
1) Exactly. He's the ace up their sleeve, as Rajah puts it. They pull him out whenever they need to pull in big ratings. The reason those shows get such high ratings is because they're special. HBK on RAW is a rare thing. That's why more people tune in- they don't want to miss it. If HBK on RAW were to become the norm, it wouldn't be a special occasion and wouldn't create as much interest. That, and HBK isn't working with the WWF full time. He's taking a lot of time off and was recently married.
2) It's part of his character. Part of his gimmick. Something for the ladies, I guess.
3) No comment. Actually, all the owners (myself, Triple A and Jigga are online friends, although we do strive to out-do one another. TPWW, I hear, has a particular columnist that has made a habit out of jokingly taking jabs at myself (Rajah). Probably wants me to take notice so he can write for OUR site! Ha ha.
4) Good observation.

Do you have or know where I can find more information about the settlement of rena mero's lawsuit? Just idle curiosity.

Hi Raj,
I've got some questions for the Mailbag...
1. Why did Tatanka leave the WWF?
2. What happened to the cool little ceremony they used to do after a King of the Ring winner was declared?
3. Could Stone Cold beat Goldberg in a "shoot" fight?
4. Is there anyone in the WWF that could beat Ken Shamrock in a "shoot" fight?
5. Will Buff Bagwell ever come to the WWF? He is a great wrestler and has the personality to get WAY over with the fans.
1)Tatanka and the WWF mutually parted ways after his contract ended. There was no particular incident which caused him to leave.
2) I don't know. That used to be a big part of becoming King. Who could forget Jerry Lawler's attack on Bret Hart, or Owen declaring himself the King Of Harts? Not to mention Austin 3:16. How many T-Shirts has that one sold? The Coronation Ceremonies were great. It was like you were fighting all night to become King, and then that was your crowning moment. This year, it was just win the final match, and then what? No crown, no robe, no scepter, no nothing. Billy Gunn deserves better.
3) It's all irrelevant. It will never happen. Neither man is a shoot fighter; they are both professional wrestlers. Yes, Austin could beat Goldberg, but Goldberg could also kick Austin's ass. It doesn't really matter.
4) Probably not. Maybe a guy like Blackman if he gets lucky, or maybe a guy like the Big Show just because of his size alone, but my money would be on Shammy no matter what.
5) Only time will tell, but I believe he still has a couple more years on his current WCW deal.

Hey this site is great. Anyway a friend of mine told me that on Raw or at a PPV in 95 or 96, Yokozuna went up to the second rope for the bonzai drop and the rope snapped. Did this really happen? I figure it was a work if it did.
I think I remember this, and I think it was during one of those Free for All's before a PPV. If my memory is correct, it was against Steve Austin, in his early WWF days. Yes, the rope snapped, and, yes, it was most likely a well done work.
From:Sneech32
I like the site I visit several times a day... anyway I was wondering what made the ratings switch from wcw to wwf. Back when wcw had like 70
consecutive weeks, was that cause of the nWo, and when they lost their
ratings was this the time when DX came into the picture? I believe that wwf
will be on the bottom very soon, due to their repetitive main events,
ridiculous story lines, and a smaller roster. Do any of you (gramps, kayfabe or raj, even though raj don't like the wcw) see the wwf losing ratings before the end of the year? all I got to say is they better use Chris jericho and get some dope ass wrestlers or people like me may lose interest. put this in the bag or answer it personally i don't care.
thanks
DX and the emergence of Stone Cold Steve Austin led the WWF into ratings success. I know what you're saying about WCW (Note: I, too, would like to take this chance to say that I hate WCW). As much as I hate to admit it, the WWF is hurting in the main eventers category, and that is causing the same main events and feuds being carried out over and over again. Still, WCW is a long way from contending, so I don't think they'll be winning the ratings war anytime soon. They might start fighting back, though.

I know everyone says it--but for real, there's not another site that's even
close to yours. Me and my buddy dont even bother checking anywhere else for
WWF info. So dont change what works. As far as my question goes-- I was
wondering if you could give a semi-detailed answer as to how the wrestlers
prepare for or go about doing their in-the-ring interviews. For example-- how scripted is a McMahon / Austin 10 minute confrontation? How much of it is "line for line script"? How much of it is improvised? Are they getting any of their lines through an earpiece? For the most part, the confrontations are pretty believable. Its the occassional interview or confrontation that gets a few lines messed up that makes me wonder how they actually "lay-out" or plan what theyre going to say. It seems like everytime The Rock has the mic -- he just real smooth with what hes trying to say, whereas when The Big Show has the mic, he's a nightmare and it seems like he's really thinking about what he's trying to say. Any comment or response to this whole thing would be appreciated.
Thanks.
It depends on who's doing the interviews. A guy like the Rock, for example, who is very talented on the mic, has a general outline of what he's going to say, but doesn't memorize a script word for word. He pretty much does it on the fly. A guy, like The Big Show, however, with lesser mic skills, probably spends more time going over a more detailed version of what he is going to say.

Dear Rajah,
love you site it really kicks ass. I have one question
that needs a couple answers. Could you address the family stuations in Wrestling. Meaning who are really brothers and who are not. Please include wrestkers like Edge, Christian, and others.
Thank you.
Edge and Christian are NOT brothers. Neither are/were the Headbangers, and Ken and Ryan Shamrock aren't brother and sister. The Hart Family is real, as are the Armstrongs and Von Erichs.

Hey Rajah,
Do you have any idea what the countdown to the millenium thing
could be. I know it is going to be huge, but I have been thinking about it
for days. I am going to the live RAW august ninth when it is supposed to
happen (don't mean to brag). I would want to know what you and your staff
members have to think about what could happen, kind of what you did for the
higher power thing. I personally think that either Austin turns "heel", the
warrior comes back to the WWF, DX is reborn, HBK returns, Jesse Ventura does something, or God forbid, Goldburg comes to the WWF (with him being the millenium man and all). Anyway, sorry to babble so much but anyway, I think it would be priity cool if you and your staff put what you think will happen when the clock hits zero. I know a lot of people are interested in it and I think it would be cool if another die hard wrestleing fan would say what he felt about it.
Well, this edition of the Mailbag will undoubtedly come out AFTER August 9th, so, sorry. But, writing this on Sunday night, I still have time to predict. Of your predictions, it will either be DX is reborn, HBK returns, or Jesse Ventura does something. I can guarantee the others will not happen. (Man, I'm gonna look like a dumbass if the Warrior comes back to a huge pop only to be jumped by a heel Austin, at which point Goldberg interferes.) Anyway, the WWF has confirmed that "The Body" will be on RAW, and that is a good possibility as to what the Millenium Countdown means. However, it is also possible, that this Monday will mark the WWF debut of one Chris Jericho.

Rajah,
First off, i'd like to say that you have a great site. I have 2
questions. First, I was wondering if professional wrestlers take their belts home? This comes from the famous screwjob of Bret Hart. Vince did not trust Bret, and therefore thought if Bret had the belt he would show up on the following Nitro wth the WWF title. Second, is it true the Royal Rumble Ric Flair won was edited for video tape? I saw that Royal Rumble on ppv, and I remember when Sid threw Hogan out (Sid was getting big pops), Hogan acted "unsportsmanlike" and grabbed Sid by his arms, thus allowing Flair to eliminate Sid and win. The fans were clearly booing Hogan (probably the first time Hulkamania was booed), but I heard the video tape shows the opposite, Sid being booed for eliminating Hogan, and Hogan being cheered when he grabbed Sid's arms. Sid soon turned heel after this.
Interesting thought about the '92 Rumble, but, nope, the video tape stayed the same. Though they may have tried to reduce the boos for Hogan, the video definately remained the same.
Wrestlers do usually have easy access to their belts. We all remember the "Alundra Blayze on Nitro with the WWF Women's Belt and a trash can" incident (creative name, huh?). And who could forget when Ric Flair showed up in the WWF with the NWA Title? But, you have to remember, there are many different belts. For instance, the belts that are used to clock wrestlers over the head are fakes.
From:Phenom
Hey,
I've one question for whoever does the mailbag.
1. How do you become a WWF booker?
Years and years in the business. You usually have to know somebody, too.
From:Nicholas
You have a great site and I check it almost every day. What do you think the chances are for the New Age Outlaws to reunite? Or for that matter, DX reforming? In my opinion, Bad Ass isn't good enough on the mic to be a singles wrestler and I'll probably take heat for this, but Road Dogg, unless it's a hard core match, isn't much better as a singles wrestler, but has a better shot than BA. I am a huge NAO fan, I guess.
Thanks!
For right now, the chances of the NAO reforming aren't good. Maybe, when the their current angles run dry they will reunite. It would seem that DX is reforming as we speak. As long as BABG, continues to be able to incite the crowd he will be an asset (pun intended).

I am a major Val Venis fan.
1)What woman do you see Val joining with in the future?
2) Also, do you think that the WWF will have a Val Venis vs. Mark Henry
match for the Sexual Icon of the WWF match?
1)For now, Debra seems the likely choice.
2)Mark Henry is still quite aways from returning to television. The WWF is stressing that he reduce his weight, until this happens don't expect to see him wrestle.

Hey,
this is my favorite WWF site. If Jerry "The King" Lawler were to become
the mayor of Memphis, would he stop being a ring announcer for the WWF?
It may reduce his schedule, but he will remain with the WWF.

Hey,
im not gonna suck up, but it is the best wrestling site ever. period.
ok, i got a few questions.
1). What ever happened to the WWF expanding RAW to 3 hours to rival WCW? I heard something about that a while back.
2). What ever happened to the RAW belt?
3). Do you think Vince will ever come back to WWF TV? I will admit it, he was one of my favorites, all the faces he made and stuff he said were SO funny.
thanks
1) It's not necessary. Why make the same mistake your competition did?
2) Just a rumor. Until the other divisions are built up, don't look for the WWF to introduce a new title.
3) He'll be back. Can't say when. Can't say how. Can't say why. But, he'll be back.
From:nmacconnell
1. Where has Pattison and Brisco been?
2. There have been rumors flying about Shawn Michels returning to the
ring, is this true, and if so when will he be back in action ?
1) There hasn't been much of a use for them in storylines lately. Before anyone asks, YES, they still work with the WWF. They just haven't had any big on-camera roles recently.
2) There will always be rumors, but right now Shawn Michaels is retired. He may return someday, but that's entirely up to him. It's his call, and he's the only one that knows whether he'll put on the boots one last time. Right now, I don't think he has any intentions of doing so.

Can you have another wrestling FAQ, it is cool and brings back memories of past wrestlers. I also would like to know more about the infamous evil twin referee match between Andre and Hulk. Which event did it take place at, who was involved, and what happened that led up to that match. By the way, great site and hope you don't decide to retire it too soon.
The evil twin referee thing went sort of as follows: Andre the Giant vs. Hulk Hogan at a Saturday Night's Main Event (I believe). Andre suplexed Hogan, covered him and the ref counted the three, despite NOT watching to see Hogan's shoulder was lifted before the three count. It was later revealed that Andre and Ted DiBiase hired a "look-a-like" ref to get the job done. The "real" WWF ref showed up moments later to confront the "fake" one and the title was declared vacant due to this confusion. Of course, the parts of the referees were played by current WWF officials Earl and Dave Hebner, who are twins.
I will try my very best, but it really takes a lot of work and a lot of researching to compile an accurate and reliable FAQ. I am relatively pushed for time where updating goes, so things get a bit tight. Stay tuned I guess.

Hey Rajah,
Awesome website, it's one of my favourites. I was wondering if you could give me any information on Test. I know his real name but that's about it.I think he's one of the best new wrestlers in the WWF. I would really appreciate if you would post this.
Thanks!
Andrew Martin is 23 years old, is from Calgary, Canada and was a legitimate bodyguard for Motley Crue for a brief period. He got his break in the WWF through his late friend Owen Hart and is single if you're after that sort of stuff. As far as I know, he was not involved in any "big" promotions prior to his debut in the WWF, but may have worked the indy scene.

hello im making a wwf links web site with thousands of wwf site and since i like your web site so much i putting your web site first on the list put before i do that can you tell me how you do that thing with the link like when you touch the link you change it a different color

Copy and paste that into the header of your page and you'll be ready to go in no time. Of course, #FF0000 specifies a font color so change that accordingly. Maybe I should debut a new "HTML Help" section for the other aspiring webmasters?
I get this question tons. Basically, I can't tell you here because it would take too long trying to figure out how to make the HTML show up on this HTML-sensitive editor. Actually, on second thought, what the hell, let me give it a whirl:

One quick question: What ever became of former WWFannouncer Lord Alfred Hayes?

Hey Raj, love the site, here are my questions:
1. Do you have a picture of Kane before he wore that mask, like as
Isaac Yankem? I only started to watch wrestling back in Feb. 98.
2. Why does Stone Cold suck so much? He used to be my favorite.
1)Yeah, I do:

Note the weird teeth to go along with his "dentist" gimmick.
2)I don't know what else to say other than putting it like this...some people hate him, others love him. The latter category far outnumbers the former even today, so it's really a matter of opinion. There's no denying he pulls in the big ratings though.
From:Flop
Hey Rajah, Great web site.
I have a few questions.
1) One, in late 1992 and early 1993, the WWF had 2 pay per views in outside coliseums instead of inside arenas, I liked it because of the change.
2) Do you think the WWF might consider going back to Las Vegas for an outside pay per view at ceaser's place?
3) Also, do you think if HHH or The Big Show ever beat Austin for the title, will the WWF make it a clean victory? Because HHH is one of the best wrestlers I've ever seen. He has worked hard and has great mike skills. He deserves a clean win.
1) That's not a question, Flop. I 100% agree with you though. The outdoor aspect of Summerslam 92 and Wrestlemania IX added a different dimension to the events. It made the PPV's that much more special and I'd like to see another outdoor card in the future. As a matter of fact, rajah.com's very own resident Grandpa was in attendance at Wrestlemania IX... for awhile. It was a great show, huh, Gramps?
2) One can only hope, but I'd love to see it. There were rumors that Wrestlemania XVI (2000) would be in Las Vegas, but that doesn't necessarily mean it would return to the Palace. Hey Gramps, maybe this time you could get tickets and actually stay for the matches. Sound good?
3) HHH is a good wrestler. I'd love to see someone get a clean title victory over Austin. Especially if it were a heel like HHH. Past history, though, suggests otherwise. It'll probably be a cheap win. E-mail the WWF and give them a piece of your mind. They listen.
From:Mickey
Got a few questions for you.
1) Who was it that threatened to disfigure Sable's face backstage in the WWF ?
2) Do you thik that the Big Show diserved such a big angle when he just suddenly showed up in the WWF ?
3) Last year, why did Terry Funk leave the WWF and go back to ECW ?
4) Why did the WWF get rid of the Nation of Domination ?
5) Do you think that Scott Hall and Kevin Nash will smarten up and come back to the WWF ?
6) Who do you think would win in a match ? Steve Austin or Goldberg
1) That is unknown at the present time.
2) Yes, there really isn't a way to bring a big, and I mean big, high profile star into a lesser role. The WWF established him well, and now he fits in perfectly. They did a great job with The Big Show, and it looks like they're going to do a great job with Chris Jericho.
3) He didn't have much of a role in the WWF, and still wanted to wrestle. ECW was willing to bring him aboard and the rest is history.
4) It had run its course. The Rock had other places to go, and D'Lo, Mark Henry, and The Godfather were ready to make names for themselves on their own. They also wanted to move away from the race issue.
5) Their contracts have two years left. Nash is a WCW booker and probably wouldn't want to leave, and Hall has his own problems to sort out right now.
6) It's irrelevant, though you know that I personally would always pick the WWF guy.
From:Clayton
You said in your last mail bag that one of the reasons that WWF will not hire RVD is because of his smoking habits. What about X-pac and Road Dogg? I mean did the Road Dogg get in any trouble for what he said in his AOL chat?
I don't think that is the ultimate reason he will not be hired by the WWF. It just is a contributing factor. Van Dam is loyal to ECW, he is actually under contract and several of the WWF's veterans thought him to be rather stuck-up. The WWF for those reasons will likely not pursue him all that vigorously. Road Dogg likely did not get any trouble.
From:Wackywave
I have a few questions for you guys.
First: What's the story with the Smoking Skull Belt? When and why was it introduced? What do they do with it when Stone Cold isn't the champ?
2)Next: The only wrestling terminology that I donn't know is the meaning of the word "kayfabe". Now that see it as one of your staffs screename i need to know its definition, help me out.
Thanks guys, kickasss site Raj.
1) After Austin won the title, he got his own personalized title, called The Smoking Skull Belt. When Austin isn't the Champion, they just use the normal belt instead.
2) Ah, the definition of the word "kayfabe" can be found under Rajah's "Wrestling Terms" section.

Rajah,
who is your favorite wrestler? If you don't have ONE than who are
your favorites?
D'Lo Brown and The Undertaker. D'Lo cause I just he's super talented and is gonna be a star. I also like how he does his head thingy. And Undertaker just cause he's stuck with basically the same gimmick for ten years and thrived like no other. And it's not a gimmick that has been static. He's evolved it bigtime and with success.

Hey Rajah, Kayfabe, and Grandpa. Really like the new and improved mailbag, and I
learn stuff about it everytime I read it. A couple questions that have been
bugging me.
1. What exactly happened during the "ECW Invasion" on Raw?
2. Does the Clique (HBK, HHH, X-Pac, Nash, Hall) still get along, or was that
just while they were in the WWF?
3. What message involving rajah.com should I put on a sign at Smackdown! on
September 24? (You being the best damn webmaster on the net and all)
1)Basically, an angle was set up where Jerry Lawler challenged Paul Heyman and members of ECW to show up on a RAW. It was all worked out despite it sounding like legit heat between WWF and ECW. Heyman did show for a couple episodes of RAW with some notable ECW performers and in that time it was WWF vs. ECW as a mini-storyline. It was all ultimately to gain ratings for the WWF and publicity for ECW.
2)Yeah, they are all still friends in real life.
3)Wow, another sign. Anyways, I think the best "message" would be one that simply says "rajah.com". It gets the site some well deserved publicity I'd say. Thanks in any case for the support. We all appreciate it.
From:Brandon
I was wondering what the WWf going public meant exactly? Please answer my question, put it in mailbag or something.
Thanx
It means casual fans and the general public are allowed to "own" a piece of the WWF. You chip in some dough and get a small ownership of the company you love. It's just a cool thing to say that you "own" part of the WWF.
From:Jared
Great site. I check it daily. I have a couple questions for you.
1. Do you think that the WWF will come up with another stable to feud with DX with a couple other wrestlers joining DX to have a similar fued to the DX vs.Nation of last year?
2. Why does the WWF have Bob Holly fighting huge wrestlers? I think it is completely ridiculous and is a waste to have Kane fighting Holly instead of focusing on The Big Show and The Undertaker entirely.
3. Do you think Christian will side with Gangrel over Edge? At a couple of recent house shows, Edge and Christian have shown a bit of dissention between them with Edge shoving Christian. If Edge and Christian do remain together, will the WWF bring another talent to join them to form a new Brood?
Thanx for your time.
1)I doubt it. The stable thing seems to be a fad that has now passed. It started with the nWo and ended with the Corporate Ministry.
2)It is valiant attempt to get Holly some sort of gimmick/angle as well as getting him "over" with the crowd. It seems to be working I might as well add.
3)For now, it appears that blood is thicker than kool-aid. But this is interestingly opening up possibilities of Edge vs. Christian, but that's not to say Christian will eventually go back to Gangrel.

Despite numerous requests each day, I have decided not to employ an emailing service. The reason? People would opt to just get the info nicely in their mailbox, and it would be pointless for me to run a site that is reaching a fraction of its potential, hit-wise. Nothing motivates me more than finding out thousands of people visit the site each day.

Hey,Raj,
cool site. Just a few things. Did Lex Luger appear on the first monday nitro while still under wwf contract? If so, was he fired, or was he working or finished his notice? If my memory serves me right the first nitro was a day after summerslam 95, where Lex did a run-in in the title match. Clear this up for me. Also, in the last 'bag, you said Konnan was Max Moon. The Max Moon i remember was the one who appeared at RR 93 and he didn't look like KOnnan. I thought Moon was Thomas "Kato" Boric. Please post this i would be grateful.
I don't believe he was still under contract to the WWF. If he was, we'd all hear plenty about a lawsuit. I am 99% sure Max Moon is Konnan, despite the big change in appearance.

Just want to say that the mailbag is the best part of rajah.com besides the news & rumors. And now on with the question. Did the WWF have to pay Ben Stiller, Pee Wee & Janeane Garofalo for the GTV or were they doing that just to promote Mystery Men? Also did Ben just show up in Cleveland for Raw or did Vinnie Mac & Co. Invite him down, compensate him or what? One more thing, do you know who initiated contact between Mystery Men and the WWF?
I'm sure they were compensated in some way or another. And more likely than not, it would be the WWF that initiated the contact.

Well I just started watching WWF again after like a 10 year hiatus.
College education does wonders, huh? Quick questions:
1. who is chris jericho?
2. where did nicole bass, the corporation, and the ministry go? they all seemed to have disappeared
3. are stone cold and debra really a couple?
4. in the FAQ on shawn michaels, it talked about bret hart. did he REALLY punch vince and then quit?
5. so if sgt. slaughter is still part of WWF (as off-screen commish in
FAQ) is he ever on camera?
6. and what do you mean that Al Snow helps to "over" other wrestlers?
Thanks
1)I don't know how to answer this. But I guess it doesn't need to be seeing as how the August 9 RAW is WAR is over...?
2)Nicole Bass was released, the Corporation and Ministry united as one before disintegrating very recently after the Vince McMahon was booted off of TV and after HHH and Undertaker started showing some hostility towards one another.
3)Yes.
4)As far as we know, Bret really punched Vince but he didn't techincally quit the WWF. Hart and Vince mutually had agreed upon a release of Bret's supposed 20-year contract prior to the Survivor Series incident.
5)Yeah, you'll see him every now and again breaking up skirmishes between wrestlers. He's one of the officials that runs in to save the day.
6)Al Snow loses to other wrestlers just so the other wrestler gets cheered or booed by the fans. He jobs to them to get them over is what I meant.
From:ACPheonix
hey raja
1)I have been reading your website for quit a while i think its cool
why didn't the wwf ever put together a match between dan severn and ken shamrock.
2)Also why did the wwf pass up an opportunity to have hulk hogan against ric flair at wrestlemania 8 and finally why did the wwf do a rematch between hogan and the warrior.
keep up the great work
1) They tried involving the two in an angle, but it never worked out. The WWF wasn't pleased with the crowd reaction Severn got, and so he was never really pushed into the spotlight. Neither Shamrock nor Severn were really willing to job to the other and the WWF was stuck because of it.
2) Well, they'd been working on developing the Hogan/Sid angle for awhile, so they wanted that match to headline Wrestlemania. Besides, Savage earned the title. After he had lost the title three years earlier to Hogan, his status dropped a little bit. Then, he sat out six months to go along with his storyline. Savage deserved that title, and it was a great moment when he finally won it. Plus, the Savage/Flair angle played a big part in Summerslam and Survivor Series. Not to mention, of course, the biggest reason why it didn't happen. Hogan was going on vacation right after the event, so Flair would've had to retain the title. And what would Wrestlemania be without a Hulkster victory? Another point, the WWF had no way of knowing Flair would be gone a year down the road. They may have hoped to have a Hogan/Flair match in the future.
From:Ryan
I remember quite a while back when Jeff Jarrett was using his "country
singer" gimmick and performed "With My Baby Tonight." Then, it was revealed as Jesse James that really sang it. I was wondering, did Jesse James really sing that, or was it just an angle? If it was just an angle, who really did sing it?
Thanks
Geez, they've always gotta go back and ask me questions from when I was pretty much a mark... Uh, well, uh, certainly the angle was in place, but, yeah it might have been the Road Dogg. In fact, if you go listen to the original WWF: The Music CD, it actually does sound a lot like him. Remember, he always sang it on the way to the ring after he became "The Real Double J". Of course, he could have been lip singing it. I guess. Damn it. Let's just say it was him. Yes, it was the Road Dogg. Next!
