Jim Duggan Recalls A Pitch From Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, More

During a watch along of WWE's first ever Royal Rumble match, WWE Hall Of Famer "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan refelcted on a pitch from fellow Hall Of Famer Bobby Heenan.

When asked about his time performing as ‘King Duggan’, the 1988 Royal Rumble winner told AdFreeShows viewers: “When I was the ‘King of Wrestling’ I had the cape, the crown, the flag, the board, the thumb, the tongue, the ‘ho,’ cross eyes, and Bobby Heenan’s like, ‘You know, Vince [McMahon], Duggan needs an eagle! We should get Duggan an eagle!’ I’m like, ‘Bobby, shut up! He’ll get me an eagle as a rib! You know?’ But yeah, the character did change over the years as it evolved.”

Duggan also shared a few thoughts on the more cartoonish route that his character took in the lattes stages of his career, stating: “I think as my career went on, the character got a little crazier and sillier as it went on, but, folks, you don’t last 40 years in the ring chopping meat.”

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan is a member of the 2011 class of WWE Hall Of Fame inductees.
