It happened again.
CM Punk was reportedly involved in a backstage altercation that led to some issues behind-the-scenes during the AEW ALL IN 2023 premium live event on Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
Just minutes before the main pay-per-view card started, Punk and Perry were apparently involved in a physical altercation. This was said to happen ten minutes before Punk went out for the opener against Samoa Joe, and just minutes after Perry wrestled HOOK in the FTW Championship bout on the "Zero Hour" pre-show.
During Perry's match, he said to the camera, "It's real glass, cry me a river" as he and HOOK did some spots involving a car window. The comment was in reference to a confrontation he had with Punk at a Collision taping this summer.
Perry's comment is said to be what led to the backstage altercation with Punk at ALL IN on Sunday.
Fightful.com reports that one side of the story stated that Perry confronted Punk backstage, resulting in a shoving match between the two, followed by Punk putting Perry in a choke.
PWTorch.com reports that Punk confronted Perry as he was walking to the entrance for his match against Joe. After exchanging words, Punk pie-faced Perry, restraining him in a face lock and throwing punches before they were separated.
Miro stated on Twitter (X), that the Fightful report was “fake and untrue,” but did not elaborate. He wrote, “That’s fake and untrue.”
According to FW4Online, Perry was asked to leave the venue while Punk remained in his dressing room.
We will keep you posted.
